Now the next day Draco had joined his friends for breakfast. Draco had automatically felt a migraine start to come over him when he heard Harry asking if anyone had an idea of what the three-headed dog on the third floor was protecting. Draco let out a big sigh then continued with when why, and how did you all find your way onto the third floor that we were warned not to go to? Harry and Hermine had the understanding to look sheepish but Ron decided to defend their bad decision. Harry was challenged to a wizard dull by Not. Draco cut Ron off annoying the other boy. Please tell me no one saw you because if you get caught doing something like that you will get expelled which Not probably intended to happen. No, we hid in this room with a three-headed dog Harry said with a small pleading town as if trying to beg Draco to believe him. Draco gave Harry a small smile to let Harry know he's not mad at him. Ok, so there's a three-headed dog on the third floor and it didn't eat you all that news makes me happy but please try to ignore Note's tont I don't want any of you to get expelled. Draco made sure to make eye contact with them all and this seemed to get something through to Ron even if he doesn't like Draco trying to tell them not to do something. Before they could say anything more some owls flew into the great hall and dropped a letter in front of Draco. Whos it from Ron asked. Draco picked the letter up and instantly smiled it is from my cousin Tonkes. Draco opened the letter and started to read it.
Hay Draco it's your favorite cousin Tonkes. I'm writing this letter to you to let you know today is my first day as an Ore and I wanted to wish you luck with your classes and wanted to know if you have made any friends yet and if you might have a crush on anyone yet. ;) I know you will enjoy potions don't let Snape get to you. If you ever need wise older wizard advice I'm always here for you. And if your dad doesn't like the hose you get into and gives you trouble just tell me and ill do my Ore thing and save you. And if you are worried about what I think it doesn't matter what hose you get in Hogwarts is lucky to have you. Do me a favor and check out this year's Hufflpuffs for me. And I already know you are going to try to get more pureblood Slitherens the rebel against their parents and all so I wish you luck. P.S. Well, what does it say Draco Ron repeats? It's just my cousin Tonkes trying to embrace me and this enchanted parchment so we can wright to each other without having to send owls good thing to. she's an ore now and it might get hard to send her letters if they have her busy. Your cousins an ore Ron repeated. Ya, my father doesn't know we are in touch with each other so if Not or one of the other purebloods asks you never heard a thing Draco said while eyeing them all. Hemine then asked why his father doesn't like his cousin. Draco told them about his dad's problems with his prejudices. This conversation seemed to put Draco in Ron's good graces and get him the pity stair from Harry who he knew was facing similar problems with his family. Hay during study hall can I come to your dorms I want to show you guys a spell for your trunks. They agreed and went to their classes for the day. Draco was excited to see the broom flying class was for all first years tomorrow and him and his friends would have that class together. By the time study period came Hermine was beaming and begging Draco to tell her what spell he was going to show them. Draco laughed and told her patience. Harry and Ron popping up from seemingly out of nowhere latched onto Draco's arme this both surprised Draco and made him wonder if there was a chance that Harry may have stronger feelings for him other than platonic. Draco decided Harry was too young for throws kinds of feelings and decided to ask when they were all older maybe second year possibly third. As they went in past the portrait of the fat lady the other Griffiondores seemed suspicious of Draco until Nevile said hi to Draco this seemed to calm the nerves of most of the Griffindors. So Draco followed or was dragged to Harry and Ron's dorms he sat on Harry's bed and instructed the two other boys to go get Hermine's trunk and Harry seemed a little reluctant to leave Hermine and Draco alone but did as he was asked. Hermine seemed to take the opportunity to ask Draco if he had feelings for anyone. Draco saw this as good a time as any to let her know he is 100% gay. Hermine, I'm gay and we're too young to be thinking of crushes and dating. Really are you sure? I have no problem with you being gay but if were too young to be thinking of crushes and dating then how do you know what you prefer? I just do ok can we please change the subject? Draco pleaded. Fin what spell will you be showing us then? Hemine asked with a big smile on her face not seeming to be affected by is preferences he had discovered in Narnia. I will be doing the enlarging spell on the inside of all your trunks ill let you do your own if you want after I do Harry's and Ron's. Yes, that sounds good thank you Draco. And please remember you are one of my best friends and maybe we can make more enchanted parchments so we can talk while we're in our dorms. Hermine said making Draco smile at the sentiment. When all three trunks were in the same room Draco asked them to take everything out of them. Ron complained but did as asked and Hermine tried very hard not to let them see her under things. Draco then turned to Harry's open trunk and raised his wand. Then he said in a clear voice the same spell he used in Narnia and on his own trunk expand et crescere magna. This made the inside of the trunk sink and shift. Draco then did the same to Ron's and asked if Hermine understood what he did or if she needed more instructions. She shook her head and did the same to her trunk Draco then instructed them all to pike an item that can stay in their trunks and be the magical core so if they so wish they can use their magic to change the layout and design of the inside of the trunk. Ron chose a poster of his favorite quidditch team and Harry chose an old stuffed rabid and asked if it would work Draco told him yes. Hermine chose the pamphlet she was given when she was introduced to the wizarding world they then all went into their separate trunks and under Draco's guidance made their trunks into magical mobile homes. They then spent the rest of the time putting their things back in their trunks. Hermine then suggested they make a dore in their trunks to connect to the other trunks because she saw the spell in one of her books and thought it would make seeing each other during summer easier. This made Harry's eyes light up with excitement and joy. So they made the spell and tested it out until lunch making rules about visiting in each other's trunks. They continued the day as they did the last including the aquamancy lessons. Then dinner and bed but before Draco went to bed he wrought a reply to Tonks.
Dear Tonks I am so happy you are in your dream job and thanks for the wishes for luck I will see to your Hufflpuffs and no to the crush maybe next year good night with my love.
He then had to choose his words carefully when Not said. If you were smart you would choose your friends more carefully or your father will be most disappointed in you. Thank you Not I will contemplate on your words tomorrow so please go to bed and do be quiet.
The next day was broom flying class. Harry seemed nervous and Ron and Hermine seemed impatient. Mis Hooch then walked them all to the fealed where two rows of brooms were laid out she instructed them to pike a broom and stand on its left-hand side. with your hand over it say up then mount the broom. She said then walked down the row with her yellow eyes scanning each student. As a chorus of ups rag out Harry Draco and Hermine were successful. When everyone had managed it she then said to kick off the ground flote a few feet off the ground then lean forwards and come back to the ground. Before she could blow her whistle Nevles's broom started to fly up higher and higher and he seemed frightened as he tried to get the broom to go back down until he hit the wall and fell from the broom breaking his wrist. Miss Hooch told everyone to stay on the ground or they would be expelled and then left for Maddom Pomfrys office. Before proper conversation could begin Not announced he had found Nevles remember all. Harry demanded he give it back Draco and Ron stood with him. Not then throw the item in the air toward one of the castle windows Harry immediately went after it on his broom making a remarkable catch. Before anyone could congratulate Harry on the catch Migonicall came bursting out the doors calling for Harry. As soon as she was out of sight with Harry Draco and Ron started to yell at Not making it clear if Harry got expelled they would tell the teachers how he had thrown Nevles property. That night after dinner Hermine told Draco to meet them in their trunks. He did as he was asked and ignored Not and anyone else in his dorms that tried to make a comment about his friends quickly got in his trunk and knocked on the door to Hermine's trunk and waited for her to answer it she did and pulled him in when Harry noticed him he go out of the chare Hermine had brought in to her trunk and gave Draco a hug Draco returned the hug and once they separated Draco asked are they going to expel you are you alright what happened with Migonicall? Harry laughed and then said ok ok I was given a spot on the quidditch as their new seeker Migonicall introduced me to Oliver Wood and that was it. That was it Draco repeated well that's good I guess. You guess Ron questioned. No, I mean I'm happy for you but aren't you still too young I'll admit it's still a violent game and I'm worried you will get hurt. Harry gave Draco another hug I'll be fine promise. Uh sure well I'll be rooting for you, Harry. Now I think we should go to bed. They all said good night and left for their beds.
