Aruji-sama = It means Lord, Chief, and Master.
Banzai = Japanese's battle cry.
*Touken Danshi = AKA Sword Warriors, gods of swords created from ancient spirit and techniques that are given human form. They are the summons under Saniwa. (Touken Ranbu)
-Sword Types : Wakizashi, Uchigatana, Tachi, Ootachi, Yari, Nagitana, and Tsurugi. (Touken Ranbu)
*Sage = The power used by Saniwa to assist and summon new Touken Danshi (Touken Ranbu)
*Jikan sokōgun = AKA Time Retrograde Army and Historical Revisionists, antagonists and responsible of traveling back in time to alter historical events. (Touken Ranbu)br /

*Majutsu = AKA Magecraft, is the artificial reenactment of Mystery, which is ordinarily possible only by inhuman beings. It is the ability to bring about what is possible through science with supernatural means. (FATE)
Chapter 2 : Present Edo Era
Next day in an open area, there's a battle happening between both sides, the enemy's side were a large number of Jikan Sokōgun while the other side were human armies. The one who was leading and most of the killing was the Archer Servant, Oda Nobunaga who was happily laughing as she charged and kill the Jikan Sokōgun with firearms that float and appeared in thin air. Other than her, there's two others who are far enjoying the battle as well and not falling behind from Nobunaga. One of them was male with muscular body, wild hair, sharp teeth and his eyes reflect bloodlust and thirst of battle and death while the other was a female laughing freely like a kid yet her appearance was like a beautiful maiden whom no one would ever think she led an army on the field as she rode her white horse and slash her enemies with her lance.
"Hahahaha come on! I can't lose to my Lord when comes to dealing with weaklings like you. I'm the legitimate Oni Musashi...Mori Nagayoshi! All the best exploits will be mine!" The man shouted as he swings his large spear toward his enemies and killing a lot of Jikan Sokōgun in one swoop. "Uwahahahaha! Exterminate, sweep 'em, and massacre 'em!"
A loud screech from the horse resounded as the rider which was the female who raised her lance as she shouted with pride, "I am Nagao Kagetora, the avatar of Bishamonten and Echigo's god of war!" She pointed her lance toward the large number of enemies ahead and roared, "Fight willing to die, and you shall live. Fight wishing to survive and you will surely meet death! That just means there's no point in thinking about it! Kill 'em!"
A lot of samurai follows her lead as she charges and meet them head on.
While the three were going wild at the same time leading the troops to move forward, the person who's being called Master by all the Servants was watching really close. Beside him was a boy who's wearing almost a same uniform as Oda Nobunaga and some Mini Nobu who's guarding them.
Seeing they would not have any problem, the Master turn to his companion and asked. "Are you bored, Nobukatsu? I'm sorry if protecting me had become your job, if Mash is with us, I'm sure you will be out there helping your sister in battle."
"Huh! N-no Master I'm fine and you know more than anyone that I'm far too weak than my sister." The boy identified as Archer Class Servant, Oda Nobukatsu shook his head far too much just to show how crazy his Master's was. "B-besides, I'm more worried about me being unable to protect you."
The Master smiled gently, "I know you will be able to protect me Nobukatsu, be confident on yourself and if we're going to start about being incompetent, I'm very sure that I'm not the greatest Master candidate out there and yet a lot of you still choose and follow me."
Nobukatsu could not help but pause for that before asking in low tone but still hearable to his Master's ears, "Do you sometime think that Master?"
"To be honest, sometimes when I see another Master like me." The Master admitted before smiling kindly towards him, "Promise me not to tell everyone about that okay, I do not wish for them to worry about me."
Nobukatsu was little hesitant before nodding his head while saying, "Okay."
The Master kept his smile before turning back to the battlefield. Once he's sure that his attention is back on the battle, Nobukatsu immediately pulled himself and fix both his posture and gripped his firearm, which was same as the floating firearms from Nobunaga.
'I have to keep myself strong, to make sister proud of me for both protecting and keeping Master safe… besides…' Looking at his sister who never hesitate to raze the battle, same with the other person, he could not help but smile. 'With Neesan, Mori-san, and Nagao-san around, everything would be fine.'
"NOBU!" A loud shout from a mini Nobu who's running in hurry heading to Nobukatsu and the Master.
The Master turn to look the mini Nobu in question because up until now, he could still not understand those Mini Nobu's own language other than 'Nobu', 'Nob' and 'bubu'.
Nobukatsu knelt down to the mini Nobu and listened to its report. After hearing everything, he nodded to the mini Nobu who made a salute before running away. Nobukatsu stood up and turn to his Master.
"Master there's a report from Okita Souji about successfully capturing one of the newcomers." Nobukatsu reported. The Master's eyes widen for a bit before turning into a worry, "Is Okita alright?"
"Yes, she's alright." Nobukatsu Reported with a smile, silently really loyal and fond to their Master who's more worried about their safety than the mission he had provided. "According to Okita, the person she captured was a young boy calling himself Kashuu Kiyomitsu, a Touken Danshi."
"Touken Danshi?" Master could not help but asked.
"When asked about it, the boy would not answer so Okita had no choice but to put the boy to sleep and drag him to prison for further interrogation. Another thing she have learned from him is that those Sword Freak as sister call them are actually called Jikan Sokōgun whose mission is to change historical events of Japan." Nobukatsu finished.
"Jikan Sokōgun… hmm… as someone who had dealt with Singularity and Lostbelt that affect world's history I kind of understand as to why it became a necessary to eradicate the force that's want to change the history for their own liking but for what purpose I wonder…" Master sigh then worried, "Let's hope that this interrogation will not head to torture."
Nobukatsu had no words to give his Master an empathy he will need for that.
Next day, every village were in uproar as bring good news to their every neighbors.
"There's a grand battle yesterday and the Chaldea Army won!"
"Chaldea won! They had taken over the Echizen Ono Castle!"
"Echizen Ono Castle is conquered by Chaldea Army!"
"We're few steps closer for victory!"
"Chaldea Army BANZAI!"
Those are the words that everyone kept saying around each other. For the group who just arrived two days ago, they could not help but be concern or warry about this revelation. The group turn to each other and nod in silence agreement that they would talk about it once they were back to their room for privacy.
They continue to hear more about the topic before deciding it's time for their meeting and went back to the inn which they had rented and went to their room and securely locked it.
"Man, who ever this Chaldea army are had become a huge celebrity." Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki first commented, followed by Heshikiri Hasebe. "That's true, still this is worrisome. There's no history that talks about an army called Chaldea, from the name itself, surely they are foreigners."
"That's not the only issue here." Konnosuke added, "Izuminokami Kaneda, Kashuu Kiyomitsu and Yamatonokami Yasusada's whereabout are still unknown. Then our latest information other than this Chaldea Army successfully conquering Echizen Ono Castle, one of the general's names within Chaldea was…"
"Hijikata Toshizo-sama." Horikawa Kunihiro said in low and despair tone, not because his previous Master was part of Chaldea Army but something else. No one could blame him knowing the reason why.
"In any case let's compile everything we know until now. Konnosuke if you please." Saniwa said and the little fox complied as he rings his bell in the collar then a virtual screen appeared before everyone's eyes. "Here is the situation we all know so far, first for the current date, its far to jumble to make a conclusion for that."
"Your right, I mean one person we asked said its February 15, 1610 then the other said its June 03, 1845 then the other said its August 24, 1766. When we tried having two people ask the same question and they gave a different answer. The two stared each other and just shrug it off as if it's not a big deal." Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki said, completely confuse as he crossed his arms with a frown.
"It's right to say that all the years within Edo period are merge together as present and if none of the locals feels any wrong with it, we can conclude that there's nothing to worry about that now." Saniwa concluded before going to the next topic. "Next is the current powerhouses, Chaldea Army and Demons Army."
The monitor showed both images of flags, the Chaldea's flag had two diamonds connected together in both above and below in a white background while the Demons Army has a symbol of dark eye in a red background.
"Chaldea is where Hijikata Toshizo-sama currently serve and by local's perspective they are the righteous army who fights against the oppressors the Demons Army who does not hesitate to massacre anyone that get in their way." Horikawa Kunihiro said.
Saniwa nodded on those facts and added, "Not only that but thousands or maybe millions of Jikan Sokōgun served under the Demons Army. Naturally, no normal person could deal with them except you exceptional Touken Danshi but…"
"By a miracle the army of Chaldea can deal with them." Konnosuke finished.
All of them could still remember about what happened yesterday while gathering information within the village.

As they talk to the locals, they heard a man screaming in panic.
"Trouble! We have trouble! An enemy's forces were spotted heading to our village! Call the Chaldea Army! Someone! Alert the Chaldea Army!" A boy in panic shouted as he run.
The villagers who heard his panic voice started panicking as well and asking each other about what they should do. Within the group, it was Horikawa Kunihiro who chased the panicking boy and asked in yell.
"Excuse me! Where did you see them?"
"Huh? South from the village, there's a large number of enemies coming here!"
"Thank you, please ask to have you and the village evacuate instead, leave it to us."
"Huh?"
The boy was unable to further question Horikawa Kunihiro because he already turned around and quickly run away, sword ready in hard as to show he will head there to intercept the enemy force. Not far from him were Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki, Heshikiri Hasebe and Saniwa, Konnosuke rode to his shoulder, follow from behind also ready to intercept them.
Their phase did not falter despite they're out the village. Saniwa immediately sensed the presence of the Jikan Sokōgun and alert his Touken Danshi about it.
"I confirm the presence of the Jikan Sokōgun ahead, the number of them are about fifty, stay cautious."
Heshikiri Hasebe nodded in serious expression, "Understood Aruji-sama!"
Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki grinned as he readies his handgun in his left hand, "Fifty Jikan Sokōgun huh, that's a grand welcome from them."
"Jikan Sokōgun's mission if the local said correctly is to massacre them, Mutsunokami we will crash them no matter what so don't ever let a single one of them pass through us." Heshikiri Hasebe ordered toward him.
"Roger that captain!" Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki affirmed. Heshikiri Hasebe turned to Horikawa Kunihiro and gave his order, "Cut as much as you can Horikawa but I would like you to prioritize Aruji-sama no matter what."
"Roger that captain." Horikawa Kunihiro also affirmed to the order. Saniwa gazed Horikawa Kunihiro and said, "I will do my best to assist you in battle and don't get in your way so no matter what, cut them before they can kill anyone."
"YES!" The three yelled affirming the order.
A moment later they finally met with the Jikan Sokōgun and without hesitation, Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki and Heshikiri Hasebe charged head on and began their battle against them. It was a chaotic battle. Some tried to ignore them and pass through but thanks to Saniwa and Horikawa Kunihiro's interference that they ended up dead and disappear.
"Konnosuke do you sense it?" Saniwa whispered as he continued to assist the Touken Danshi in battle. Konnosuke nodded and whispered back, "Yes, the strength of the Jikan Sokōgun had change, depending on the situation we will have to retreat and hope the villagers had escaped."
"I feel the same… if only we have the other three with us, we may pull this off." Saniwa could not help but whisper in frustration until he hears a multiple loud step coming their way. Turning back, Saniwa and Konnosuke were surprise to see the Chaldea force squad in total of 14 were coming their way, clearly intending to fight too.
"Hey there, we will help!" The samurai who looked like a captain of the squad yell as he draws his sword which was followed by the rest.
"What!?" Horikawa Kunihiro could not help but gasp in shock after finishing one of the Jikan Sokōgun and began to reason with them, "Please turn back! They're not the force you could handle. Please leave this to us and focus on evacuating the villagers."
"Don't let those small group overtake you samurai of Chaldea, charge!" The Captain shouted to his men, completely turning deaf on Horikawa Kunihiro's warning.
"YEAH!" The squad shout in union as they made their battle cry and attack the Jikan Sokōgun.
The group started to panic and were about to try to reason them but halted when they witness how they fight. It was ridiculously professional, something that usually witnessed by those who are considered hero. They put their force in right time, able to dodge the Jikan Sokōgun's either fast attack or powerful attack with ease then attack again. Witnessing this, the group made a silent agreement, they started assisting them.
It was a moment later than the battle finally ended in their victory. The army shouted in victory while the group sigh in relief.
"I know I was in glee to be able to fight against a lot of them but what the heck was those strength? They're not normal." Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki complained as he catches his breath.
Horikawa Kunihiro added, "It is thanks to Aruji-sama's assistance and Chaldea force that we are able to finish them despite their additional strength."
"I hate to admit it but you are right, it seems I need to evaluate our strategy in case we have to face a large number again." Heshikiri Hasebe said as he reevaluates himself and swore to never do that again.
Before the group could do their own meeting, the Captain approached them with a great smile, "Hey, thank you for keeping them on hold before we arrive. If aren't for you, we may have arrived too late and already destroyed some part of the village."
"Oh no, it's nothing and thank you as well for coming in the right time." Saniwa said followed by Heshikiri Hasebe who went in front of him and gave a bow of gratitude, "Thank you so much!"
"Oh, come on!" The Captain became plastered and bowed as well like Heshikiri Hasebe, "I saw how your group protected some on my men, thank you!"
Sensing the coming awkward situation, the two begun to chuckle and instead made a handshake.
"I never thought I would witness 4 young men to be able to match with the Demon's Army. Quite impressive, do you plan on joining Chaldea? You being additional within the force would be very helpful to overthrow the Demon Army." The Captain said as he observed them.
Saniwa and Heshikiri Hasebe gazed to each other and as if making an agreement, Heshikiri Hasebe replied. "We're travelers so we're hoping that we won't get involve with this war."
"Hmm… that's a good reason not to join if everything is peaceful but I'm sure that sooner or later you will be forced to join Chaldea." The Captain's gaze became mad and serious but not pointed to them, "Those Demons Army only want nothing but death of every people alike. I'm not sure why they want everyone especially the civilians' dead but whatever they're planning, we're not allowing it to happen." The Captain took a deep breath to calm himself before smiling towards them, "Well good luck in the future young men and hopefully we will meet again in near future."
"Yes, you too." Saniwa answered for everyone instead with a smile.
"By the way, you and your men are really amazing! Who taught you to fight like that?" Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki asked, really excited to know more about Chaldea Army. The rest did not interrupt him knowing it's just an act and since the battle is already over, they should return back gathering information again.
The Captain blinked in surprise for a moment before laughing loudly, "Thank you young man. For our training, it's all thanks to Commander Hijikata's hellish training that we are now able to fight back against the Demon Army, although I have to admit in shame, we will need our higher ups especially our Lord just to take down the Demons Army's leaders."
"Do you know the name of the Chaldea's Lord?" Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki asked. The Captain shrug his shoulder, "We don't know the Lord's name, none of the higher ups call the Lord's name, only Master."
"Master?" Saniwa could not help but asked and he nodded, "Yup. He's young and not really battle oriented but the Lord is very brave, kind and considerate that we all could not help but admire him."
The Captain is making an admirable expression, eyes also reflecting total loyalty toward the Lord that's being called Master.
"U-Umm… can I asked you something?" Turning to that person, it was Horikawa Kunihiro who's raising his hand. When no one denied him, he continued, "You said it was Commander Hijikata who trained you, may I please know his whole name?"
"Huh? You don't know?" The Captain made a confused look then grin, "His name is very famous for you not to know young man, its Hijikata Toshizo."
"What!?" Horikawa Kunihiro could not help but shout in surprise, "But he's the vice commander of the Shinsengumi! He joined Chaldea Army!?"
"Huh? Shinsengumi? What's that?" The Captain questioned. It was a bewildering statement they had heard because they're pretty sure that the name Shinsengumi are far too famous for anyone to not hear about it. Before anyone could answer him, he gasped, "Oh, I remember that every time he charged against the Demon Army, he sometimes shouts about being a Shinsengumi or telling us that the Shinsengumi will take it from there but I'm not really sure what it means. When we asked vice commander Alter about it, she said to ignore it so we never asked about it."

Returning back in reality, Saniwa continued the meeting.
"Another thing to note is related to Hijikata Toshizo, he's a commander of the Chaldea Army and from the squad captain's words, Shinsengumi does not exist. I'm not sure about the other famous historical events in Edo period but we may find some of it may not exist in the present as well." Saniwa concluded before turning to the rest.
"Aruji-sama as much as we would like to search for our missing companions, we should also start investigating about the Chaldea Army." Heshikiri Hasebe suggest, "Especially the Lord of Chaldea who is only known as Master."
Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki nodded in agreement, "The current location of the Lord of Chaldea is in Echizen Ono Castle, right? It would take a long journey for us to reach there."
"Indeed, but I'm thinking about heading to Azuchi Castle instead, the Castle that's supposed to be no longer exist. It's the Chaldea Army's main base so we'll get more information in that place than Echizen Ono Castle." Heshikiri Hasebe said which made the whole group agree.
"Okay, the plan is to go to Azuchi Castle, we will depart tomorrow morning so I want everyone to prepare for tomorrow's journey." Saniwa concluded and all of them affirmed.
Once the meeting was done, the group went down to get their dinner. While eating they heard a gossip from one of the table groups who were gossiping loudly.
"Hey did you hear, I heard that Commander Hijikata of the Chaldea Army had captured two suspicious men that most likely work under the Demons Army."
Horikawa Kunihiro stopped eating to listen intensely
"What!? Who in the right mind would allow themselves to serve the Demons Army!?"
"Right! I'm so grateful that they are captured before they do some damage in the village much less to Chaldea Army."
"Commander Hijikata is really amazing! Well, what do those suspicious men look like?"
"I'm not sure but from what I heard, they go by Yamato or Izumi something."
That was enough for the group to be stun and panic. From their words it only means one thing, their companions, Yamatonokami Yasusada and Izuminokami Kanesada were captured by Chaldea and accused for being part of the Demons Army.

This is inspired by a mobile game Fate Grand Order GudaGuda 4 event. For the flow of story, please note that this author had not played the Touken Ranbu game so the author's only knowledge base was from the anime series.
