Ps this is where the series goes a bit AU trust me it's for the best staying ridgeed to this plot as much as possible but I need to let the creativity flourish enjoy.
Chapter start
The days following Harry telling the group about Dobby. The group were now trying ti figure out what caused him to be like this.
Unfortunately they came up with absolutely nothing.
Devon walked towards the library to get them for class and noticed a sign for a dueling club. He rolled his eyes but proceeded to tell Harry about it anyways
He looked at Ron "should we go we could smoke them." He said
Devon shrugged "sure you could I don't mind either way." He said
So to that they went to the dueling club
Harry however didn't relized it was taught by Lockhart until after and he began teaching
"Ugh this is a mistake can we just leave?" He whispered to Ron.
"Now in any case as your all here this is a very secret club as such you will not leave nor speak about what happens here unless I give permission!" Lockhart said as he waved his wand and shut the doors
Ron winced and whispered to Harry "nope."
Harry cringed
Devon rolled his eyes in the back of the room
As Gilderoy immediately got stomped by "his assistant" Professor Snape the students were given a chance. As Harry was paired up with Malfoy.
"Now disarming spells only." Gilderoy said
"On 3, 1…2…-" before he could finish Malfoy sent a spell at Harry
Harry snapped up a shield before firing back his actual spell Expallarmus.
Malfoy however ducked the spell and tried to fire another spell but Harry rolled under it and flicked his arm up causing the spell that flew past Malfoy to hit him in the back making him land on his stomach and send his wand into his hand.
The students clapped
"Well done my boy that was marvelous spell work although I don't think it's quiet fare you got audience participation to help settle the duel." Gilderoy said
Harry turned to him "but sir I didn't." He said
Gilderoy looked at Harry
"But Harry you couldn't have you had to have casted two spells Spells like that don't curve." He said
"Actually…" snape said as he stood up and helped Malfoy up sneakily giving Malfoy his wand.
"It is possible to do. But you have to have a lot of control of their magic to do so. I wonder where Potter of all people actually took the time to learn such a thing?" He said
"Free periods are free for a reason Professor." Harry said
Snape tilted his head and look at him with a look of 'approval?' "Well then, very good at any case."
Malfoy snarled and sent a snake at Harry which Gilderoy tried to banish but only got it closer to the crowd Harry spoke Parsaltounge to calm the snake down
Harry was so focused on that he barely noticed Malfoy try to strike him again only for it to explode midair as Devon strode towards the stage.
He pointed his staff at the snake and it burst into flames and died
Harry looked up and noticed Devon who whispered "run."
Harry looked back and noticed Ron looked at the door as the two ran for it
Devon spelled the door open as Gilderoy called to them as the four ran down the hallway
"What the hell was that Harry?!" Ron asked
"I was trying to make it not attack Justin." Harry said
"It sounded like you were egging it on." Ron said
"Never mind that Harry that was Parsaltounge snake language. It's a trait very few but very dark people process. The gene is said to be passed down from Salazar Slytheryn himself." Hermione said
"So now everyone thinks I'm the heir of Slytheryn." Harry said
"Don't worry we'll prove them wrong." Ron said
"Wait…heir of Slytheryn…there must." Devon said as he ran down
Hermione called after him "where are you going?!"
"To the library I'll meet you in the common room!"
Devon ran to the library and slammed into madam princes desk making the Liberian cross
"Madam I need to look into the genealogical records for the four founders Namely Slytheryn." He said
Madam prince sighed "That record is incomplete but I will show you what we have follow me." She said as she showed Devon the records section.
Devon was pointed out to several scrolls "this is 1600's to 1700's this is 1700's to 1800's and this 1900's to today." She said Devon took out several scrolls and brought them to a table and started to trace them back.
After an hour he had concluded the line definitely ended in 1802. But that can't have been. Because wait…still blood relatives and squibs! Devon relized
After digging again he found the true last heir of Slytheryn. Someone tied to the gaunt family who married a guy called Tom Riddle…
No listed heir on the scroll however.
Devon sighed another dead end. And no ties connecting anyone on this list to the Potter Family.
Devon put the scrolls away and went to the common room empty handed
He opened the door and the trio looked at him
"Well?" Hermione asked
Devon shook his head.
"The Slytheryn line ended with someone named Gaunt who married a guy called Tom riddle. With no heir and at that point the line ends."
"Tom riddle…" Harry said
Devon nodded "yeah and before you ask no there Is no connection between any families connected to Slytheryn and Potter. I'm sorry but it's a mystery as to how you got the ability.
Harry sighed but suddenly falls unconscious.
As he wakes up he is struggling but he stablized himself
"Ugh. These attacks are getting worse and worse." He said
"We need to find out who is doing this soon." Ron said
The ployjuice should be ready soon." Hermione said
"And I'm not getting involved with that your on your own." Devon Said as they went up to bed
The next day herbology was canceled and while Harry was walking the halls he found nearly headless nick as well as Justin Flinch-fletcher petrified.
"Aw crap!" Harry said as students ran into him.
Harry was brought to the headmaster's office again and Hagrid as well as Devon came to bail him out.
Hagrid dropped the note that all the roosters have been killed which Devon picks up immediately
"Wait all the roosters have been killed." Devon said
Hagrid shook his head "I shouldn't have said that
"No wait." Albus said as he looked what is it Devon
"It's just…Petrification…and all the roosters being killed In pretty sure I remember something written down.
"The crowing of a cock…hmmm…" Devon said he shook his head
Albus nodded "it may very well be connected." Albus said
As Harry and Devon leave. They find the floor of the hallway flooded
"Looks like moaning myrtle flooded her bathroom again." Devon said as they looked and found that indeed the bathroom was flooded but they also found a book.
"Hey look!" Harry said as he pulled the book from the toilet
Devon snatched it
Harry tried to grab it but Devon's vision snapped out as again a dark figure is seen
"Take it!take it! Read it…read it!" The voice said as if like a snake it screamed as the person lunged at him
Just as Harry was able to knock the book out of Devon's hand.
Devon gasped and slammed into the cubicle on the other side gasping
Harry looked at Devon the book long forgotten
"Devon what's wrong?" Harry said as he grabbed the book and stepped towards him
"NO!" Devon yelled, throwing his arms out. making Harry freeze.
"What?" Harry said as he approached
"The book! Put it down!" He said
Harry looked at the book.
"But…it's just a book?" He said
Devon looked up "that is no book! Under no circumstances can you open that book!" He said
Harry had already opened it
Devon screamed and sent a disarming spell at Harry making him drop the book and sending him flying into a stall breaking the wood
As the book lands on the ground spine facing up
Harry stands up angrily
"Merlin Devon you could have killed me?!" He said
Devon got up in his face.
"Would it kill you to listen to me for one Harry I'm trying to protect you!" He said
"Maybe I don't want protection! Maybe I just want to runaway and live in the countryside by myself!" He said
Devon paused
"What about Ginny?" He asked
Harry however was still mad "FUCK GINNY IF THIS IS HOW YOU ACT OVER A STUPID BLANK BOOK CLEARLY YOUR NOT A GOOD FRIEND TO HAVE!"he yelled as he looked around at his wet soaking clothes and he walked away forgetting the book on the ground
Devon watched Harry storm off and sighed as he reached out for the book but faltered dare he?
Devon gulped before he got determined No he had a mission. Even if Harry didn't want him hanging around he still would protect him from afar.
He flipped the book over expecting the dark spirit to attack him.
But there was nothing…
He opened the book
The pages were blank.
Devon flipped over the cover.
And on the cover read

Devon didn't like this.
He took the book and left the bathroom
He noticed the pages were dry…
Devon looked at it…and started
"Your old magick…very old magic you were there in the events back 50 years ago…Can you show me the truth?" He asked
And suddenly the book Swallowed Devon whole.
As Devon found the events of fifty years ago as Hargrid was a student and was blamed for a death which had his wand snapped, Devon relized Riddle was playing him.
Devon clawed out of the book to find out he wasn't where he was previously but instead on a desk
Ginny Weasley's desk.
The girl noticed Devon was here and jumped
"Wha-what?"
Devon snapped his fingers
"It's you?! Oh Ginny I'm so sorry for not seeing it sooner."
"W-what are you doing in my diary?" Ginny asked
Devon shook his head "oh Ginny it's not your diary? It's the man who opened the chamber of secrets 50 years ago." Devon said
"No hagrid opened the Chamber 50 years ago he's just been arrested by the ministry." Ginny said
"Oh Ginny I'm so sorry…" please give me the book." He said
"No!" Ginny hissed her face growing sharp lines of teeth and her face gaining wrinkles as she clung to the book harder
Devon stepped forward only for an emminse wind picked up around him keeping him away from her as Devon tried to approach her
Suddenly a loud boom was heard in the door
"You shall not touch my shell!"
Devon looked up as Ginny looked up them back to Devon fearful
"I don't know what's happening I don't want to do this I'm sorry!" She screamed
Devon called out.
"Ginny don't worry we will save you!" He said
Suddenly a bolt of magic hit Devon in the chest as he slammed into Ginny's deck breaking it and being knocked out.
By the time Devon came through Devon was in the headmaster's office he snapped up awake
"Ginny Ginny!" he screamed
"Mr Oakland!" The Headmaster boomed
Devon looked over to see the teachers around him as he noticed he was bound in magical chains.
"Is there a reason why you were found in the female dorms of gryffindor tower?!" He asked
"Yes! And if you don't let me go a repeat of 50 years will happen again!"
Devon said
"Ms Weasley's was already taken we have no idea where she is." McGonigall said
"But I do where is Harry?" He asked
"Mr potter is in the hospital wing he fell into a coma and has remained there for about a day." The mediwich said
"Oh no no Dumbledore the bond!" He said
"That isn't important right now!" Snape hissed
"FUCK YOU AND TELLING ME A GODDAMN SOULBOND STRONG ENOUGH TO MAKE VOLDEMORT LOOK LIKE A FUCKING TWOYEAROLD IS NOT IMPORTANT AND THE ONE BROUGHT DOWN HAPPENED TO BE THE ONE TO SEND THE PREVIOUSLY MENTION DARK LORD TO POWER AGAIN!" Devon boomed as he stood up breaking the chains and summoning his staff
"I'm going to fix your issue. Then we will have a serious talk about this later." He said as he strode to the hospital wing and found Harry Frantically clawing on the bed at Ron.
"Ginny!" He yelled as Ron held him down
"Settle down mate she'll be find once they find her." Ron said
Devon stepped in
"Ginny was taken to the chamber." He said
"What?!" Ron screamed standing up
"Why didn't you stop it?" He asked
" I tried but I was overpowered!" Devon said
Ron looked over to Harry
"We need to find Ginny. What happened?" Ron asked
"No time to explain bring Harry we will need him." He said
Ron turned to Harry to see him already standing face set in stone determined
"Mate?" Ron asked
"His bond mate is in danger he will do absolutely anything to save her now…even if it means killing you Ronald." Devon said
Ron wisely stepped aside as Devon approached and whispered into his ear
"Harry I know we had our differences but please understand I'm trying to help you. I know you feel the bond in danger and Ginny's life is at risk use it to help us guide ourselves to Ginny to save her." Devon said
Ron looked over to Hermione's body and noticed her hand is in a fist.
He opens it and gasps
"What?" Devon asked
Ron turned to him and flipped the paper
"Pipes" it read
Devon looked over the three.
"Let's move!" He said as Harry let out a scream
"GINNY! And started to run down the hall.
"The students are going to start questioning his sanity at this rate?" Ron said
Devon shrugged "yeah well I'm meant to protect him not make him look good." He said
"Fare."
Gilderoy looked up from the bed with an evil smile.
A plan was coming together. He would follow them best them after they were exhausted from the deadly fight and obliviate them and steal their achievements. And leave them for dead where they couldn't be found. He was back on track to taking over the world by his charm.
As Lockhart ran away leaving Hermione alone in the hospital room unseen by anyone a tear slid down her face.
Devon, Ron and Harry reached the Forbidden bathroom and barged in…we'll barged made it seem more like a controlled event.
By the time they reached the bathroom Harry's magic was going Haywire and in a fit of accidental magic and the driven need to save his love bond he basically willed the door the evaporate
Ron and Devon were horrified Devon knew if Ginny died Harry would turn into the next dark lord but with the staggering amount of power behind him the world might just be screwed if he turns evil.
Ron nodded fearfully "ok…don't piss off harry…"
Devon nodded equally as fearfully
"Glad we're on the same page." He said as he tapped Ron on the shoulder
They looked up to see Harry had vanished and the large sink there was hole leading down.
"Aw shit." Devon sighed
"Ah ha!" Gilderoy said from behind "caught you!" Oh yes you the one who's made a fool of me this entire year! I'm going to get you back!" He said with a cheep smile
Ron stepped forward
"Professor we found the chamber!" He said
Gilderoy looked over
"Huh Oh yes! yes! yes! yes! Pish posh boys you sir Oakland have gotten a lot of nerve to try to damage my ego. Many far more powerful wizards have threatened me with exposing my secret! But al have failed!" He said
"Harry Potter is in danger." Devon said
"HARRY POTTER IS A FREAK!" Gilderoy snapped
Devon reacted instantly after hearing that he remembered the long nights hearing Harry's uncle call him that at this point is was second nature just think of the fat pig and shove his fist so far up his nose.
Gilderoy crumbled busted nose and dazed
Devon looked at Ron "let's go." He said
Ron was stunned at how fast Devon reacted and nodded "y-yeah…note to self don't piss any of you off." He said
Devon smiled "only if I'm determined." He said
Gilderoy looked just as the boys slid down into the chamber he growled as he reached for his wand and dragged himself after them.
Devon and Ron reached the bottom and found a pile of rat skeletons.
"Ugh grosse." Ron said as Devon picked one up
"Picked clean…" he said as he threw the body into the distance
"We need to-" he paused as the scraping of metal on metal was heard
"Vault door." Devon said
"Another chamber?" Ron asked
"Probably." He said
Suddenly another crash as they turned around and saw Gilderoy lockhart standing again
"I…willp nop be underestimateped, Now Ovlipate!" Gilderoy said is broken English which resulted in the spell backfiring onto him making him crash
"And that is why you don't cast spells with a broken jaw or spelled mouth." Devon said
Gilderoy glaired at him
"Bombarta!" He hissed at Devon
Devon snapped his Staff down in a protego. Shielding him and sending him flying as the ceiling around them crumbled fortunately knocking gilderoy out cold.
Devon climbed over to the wall.
"Ron Ron are you ok?" He asked
Ron coughed "yeah but Lockhart is out cold…good riddance right?" He asked
Devon nodded "yeah you and me both. Look I'm going up ahead to help Harry you see if you can't try to move any of these rocks to free us a path. Be careful mate don't go too fast and kill yourself by cave in." He said
Ron smiled "I only want you to save two people today that's my sister and my best mate." He said
"It might be your Brother in law by the time we're done." Devon said
Ron rolled his eyes "don't remind me…but seriously Devon…please bring Harry back alive." He said
Devon nodded and ran off
(Harry)
Harry Potter was in a trance. All he remembered was his brain going fuzzy after Devon threw him across the bathroom hen he was in the hospital with the most amount of chest pain he's ever felt.
No there was a voice…
Ginny's voice
"Help me"
Ginny was in danger!
Harry looked around as he stepped into the chamber of secrets he looked around to see Ginny lying on the ground blood around her and the diary.
Harry ran to her
"Ginny please don't be dead please I need you." He said as he grabbed her hand he began to feel safe again
"She won't wake boy…"
Harry turned around to see a 16 year old boy standing there.
"Who are you?" He asked
"Tom marvolo Riddle at your service." He bowed
"Harry stood up but kept a hand on Ginny as he stood up
"What do you mean she won't wake? Tom? And why are you back here from 50 years ago…it's you! Your the one who released the basilisk isn't it not hagrid!" Harry said
"Very astute Mr Potter. Very astute… of course as someone who defeated the greatest wizard of all time as a baby I expected nothing less." He said
"Voldemort wasn't the greatest that was is and forever will be Dumbledore." Harry said
Tom laughed "oh Potter… no. For it Is I that caused Dumbledore to quiver 50 years ago. It was I who caused so much destruction that your headmaster didn't even try to stop.
"Why it was I…who killed your parents…oh look I've Gone and ruined the surprise." Tom said as he stood up and wrote his name in the air then snapped and the letters arranged to spell
I AM LORD Voldemort.
"Your Voldemort…" Harry said
Riddle smiled yes Potter and I'm here to do what I should have done that Halloween night…kill you…" he said
Devon reached the chamber and saw Harry talk to an older student.
Suddenly flawks flew in carrying the sorting hat and dropped It on the ground by Harry's feet.
"A Phoenix and a musty hat potter that's what you will use to vanquish the dark lord reborn?"
"Shut it Riddle and give me my wand back!" Harry hissed
Riddle smiled
"Make me…" he then spoke Parsaltounge and summoned the basilisk.
"Kill him."
Harry refused to look at the beast and just ran.
Devon slammed his staff on the ground and a blinding light filled the chamber preventing Harry from seeing the Basilisks
"RUN!" Devon yelled
Harry reached Devon as he yelled "FLAWKS THE EYES!" As he ran with Harry
The bird did his duty and clawed the eyes out before flaming away before the giant beast could bite him in two
Devon looked over to see the Blind serpent flairing
"It can't kill up with a gaze anymore but be careful about the fangs." Devon said
Harry nodded he was anxious to go back in there he needed to save Ginny.
"I'm useless without my wand…" Harry said
Devon looked at the sorting hat and found a sword in it. He drew it and showed it to Harry.
"Knock 'em dead." Devon said
"What about you?" He asked
"Keeping riddle destract Ed and stop him from killing Ginny anymore." Devon said
Harry nodded and charged in
Devon right on his tail
"In Front of you strike!" Riddle hissed in Parsaltounge
Harry veered left and tackled Devon into the water saving him from the body slam the beast did against the marble with its chin
Devon and Harry climbed out. Of the water as Harry ducked another strike Devon ran to Ginny.
Devon grabbed her pale face
"Oh no no no!" He said
Riddle turned around
"Ah Mr Oakland…you are quiet troublesome you nearly ruined my plans by stopping me early. You might have stopped me from getting Potter but Ms Weasley's is too late." He said
"In that case Tom were all too late but ill try anyway!" He said as he blasted Riddle with magick but the spell passed harmless through his body he looked down and laughed
"AH YOU DIDNT ACTUALLY THINK THAT WOULD WORK DID You?" Fool!" He said as he raised Harry's wand
Only for Devon to disarm him
"HARRY!" He said as he tossed Harry his wand which he caught.
Riddle hissed
"You still won't survive." He said
"No but Ginny just might." Devon said accepting his death.
He looked to see Ginny still clutching the diary.
Devon looked at him
"The Diary." He said in realization
Voldemort grinned
"My soul!"
Devon was confused but shook his head he pulled the book out of Ginny's hands fighting the urge to open it.
He looked around and dropped it as he started to blast it with spellfire.
Riddle laughed
"It's useless you can't win… give up mr Oakland join me…" he said
Devon swatted him away Making riddle fly back
"As a Druid I will never fall to the likes of you, a protector of the earth and all its creatures among it." He said
Tom hissed
"Even the Druids can fall!" He said as he spread his arms out and a mist filled the room
Devon watched the mist turned back then red…as it showed a forest on fire.
The sacred grove…
Several bloodstained white robes surrounded by pools of blood.
"I will find your home and once I return it will be the first place that will submit to me." Voldemort said
"You couldn't beat us pagans in the first war and you won't again Riddle.
Riddle hissed and lurged back
"Pagan!? You dare!" Riddle hissed
"Yes yes I do!" He said as he grabbed a jar from his robes filled with a pile of rocks and threw it at riddle
He waved the heavy jar away the contents stayed covering him and dispelling the spirit for now.
"Arghhh!" A scream filled the room
Devon looked over as a massive thud filled the room
The basilisk was dead
Ginny groaned as she started to wake as Harry crawled over to her.
"L-love?" Harry spoke weakly
Devon dropped to Harry.
"Your hurt…" he said
Harry looked at the fang he ripped out of his arm.
"The beast got it worst." He said
"It doesn't matter." Toms voice said as he reappeared
"Being bitten by the basilisk is a death sentence. You'll be dead within minutes. As basilisk venom destroys anything." He said
Suddenly flawks was there and used his Phoenix tears to heal Harry
"Phoenix tears…damn I didn't expect that…but no matter I will have a new body soon the body of Ginny Weasley…And her soul will be mine." Voldemort said
"Not if I can help it!" Harry said as he blasted Tom with his wand
"Get your hands off my wife!"
Riddle was flown back
"This…power!" He said as he used his magic to blast away the storm
"No Mr Potter! She is mine!" He said
Harry blasted him again
"Get your hands off my wife!" Harry yelled louder sending Riddle farther away.
He laughed as he noticed Ginny was getting paler and began taunting him
"Your wife is nothing but a rotting Corpse now!" He yelled
Harry looked over to see Ginny as pale as paper
He snarled and grew more monsterus he yanked the basilisk fang out and stabbed the diary.
Riddle grunted
Devon laughed "your soul is broken Tom. Back to the void you go Tom back into death!" Devon said
"You…come with me Potter!" He roared as he tried to pull Harry away from the diary
Harry went dragging across the floor but he clung into the diary as well as he fang as he dragged it across the page
Tom gasped and caused him to drop Harry
Harry crawled back towards the diary as fast as he could to stab it a third time
"Nooooo!" Riddle yelled as Harry spun around to see riddle lunge at him
Only for him to stop mid way as behind him Devon was holding him back with his magick
"Harry stab the book now!" Devon said
"Noooo! I won't let you!" Riddle said as he used his last ounce of magick to lock up Harry's arms holding the fang.
"Use it…to save…the one…you love…" Devon groaned
Riddle thrashed around trying to break free
Harry felt his own vision fading probably his own soul being torn out from the soul bond.
However his accidental magick flaired up again and allowed him to move his free arm under the held arm which dropped the fang into in as Harry Stabbed the Dairy a third and final time
With a horrid scream Voldemort was vanquished.
Devon fell to his knees exhausted his staff long forgotten
He looked up to see Ginny sitting up and nursing Harry rocking him repeating the words over and over again
"I'm sorry…I'm sorry…"
Devon sat up and got Ginny's attention
"Ginny?" He asked
Ginny looked at Devon
"Do you have the urge to try to vaporize me?" Devon asked
Ginny looked agast "no y-you helped Harry save me…you help me save my…my husband…oh…" Ginny said
Devon smiled "good I just wanted to know. Harry will make a full recovery." He said as he reached out his arm to grab his cane to use as a walking aid
"Who says I'm not already recovered I just want to be in my wife's arms?" Harry said with a smile
Ginny tossed him on the stone ground angryly
"Prat I thought you died!" She said
"Ginny I was mind speaking to you the entire time…" Harry said
Ginny paused
"Oh…sorry…" Ginny said
Harry giggled "come here love." He said as he held his arms out as Ginny threw herself at Harry and ended up straddling him on the ground
Devon rolled his eyes "ugh can you please not do this while I'm watching at least?!" He called
"Oh shut up Devon we weren't going to shag and you know it!" Ginny huffed as she helped Harry up
Harry limped over to the basilisk and drew the sword of gryffindor from its maw."
Devon smiled "congratulations Harry your a warrior now…" Devon said
Harry smiled
"Ginny will you accompany me upstairs?" He asked
"Why sir knight I thought you'd never ask." Ginny said
Devon rolled his eyes
"Save the flirting till after the news that your safe is around please?" Devon asked
Ginny gave Devon a rude gestured that if shown to molly would have her wash her daughter's mouth out with soap. Devon just laughed
"I'll announce that you guys are safe. By the way Ron is here too and so is Lockhart. Make sure there safe too and bring them to the headmaster office." Devon said as he vanished in a flash of light.
Harry stared at the empty space.
"I got to learn how to do that." He said
Devon appeared in the empty headmaster's office with just Albus looking out the window Albus turned around as Devon fell into his chair
"They are safe…" he said
Albus smiled as a few seconds later his Phoenix arrived carrying the four.
Hello… let's inform your parents shall we?" He asked as he went to the floo.
Molly and Arthur arrived in minutes and the situation was explained what happened.
They hugged Ron but they just watched as Harry and Ginny rocked back and forth in each other's arms.
Mr Potter I need to ask do you feel comfortable leaving Ms Weasley's side for a few weeks?" He asked
Harry glaired at Dumbledore.
"No sir I don't want to leave my wife for anything right about now!" He hissed
Molly gasped as Arthur hugged his wife Devon raised his hand
"The bond is just defensive right about now there legal relationship has not changed." Devon said
Dumbledore nodded and stood up "right you are me Oakland. Now unfortunately I've not come up with a plan to officially take you out of the Dursley's care. However it should be fine if you stay over Your neighbor's house for the time. So long as you sleep at 4 Privet Drive." Dumbledore said
"A few days not doing so is allowed as well." Devon said
Dumbledore nodded "yes and you will be able to join the Weasley's to there oversea trip to Egypt as I've heard Mr Weasley just won the prize at the ministry and if getting a 1000 gallion prize."
Devon looked at the headmaster to see him wink at him.
However the face fell shortly after that.
"However. I'm afraid that the protection won't be fully filled if you go with the Weasley's so you must return back to Privet drive to fully recharge the wards before the school year starts." Albus said
"So long as I'm somewhere with Ginny I will be fine." He said
Dumbledore nodded and looked to Devon
"I've check up on the Dursley's and have not liked there outlook on how they treated Harry. You have 3 weeks until the school year ends. Make sure Harry can use untraceable magick to protect himself and his significant other if the need arises again without being traceable." Dumbledore said
Devon nodded and headed out.
Harry Ron and Ginny followed him
In the next flew days it's a slight blur a new acting DADA Professor was called which made everyone groan.
Until the first class where it was shown to be Devon
In which case only Harry Ron and Hermione groaned.
"Aw great." Hermione sighed as she dropped her books in her chair
"Ah Ms granger thank you for volunteering to change this room into a suitable dueling environment." Devon said
Hermione groaned and with a flick of her wand the desks and chairs were all against there respective walls.
"Very good ms granger done effortlessly and wordlessly take 20 points for gryffindor." Devon said as he strode forward
"How as you maybe aware I'm Devon Oakland! And I am to be your new defense against the dark arts professor for the rest of the year. I will be honest with you this isn't that daft idiots class anymore nor is it his dueling club. This is real. If you don't put in the effort you will leave this class heading to the hospital wing.
This course despite only being 3 weeks and only 3 days per week so 9 classes may infact save your life your about to have a master class on dueling. As such when you get here you better be prepared to move. No more robes and baggy clothes you need something flexible and something you can move in without being tired." Devon said
Devon looked at Harry Ron and Hermione
"You three. I hope you are ready at least?" He said
All three drew there Wanda down and there robes transfigurated into training clothes.
Devon smiled
"Excellent. The rest of you will have a hard lesson taught to you but in the end it may save your life." Devon said
In the back Draco Malfoy was chatting with Crabb about the class.
"What's that Malfoy think this is a joke huh?" Devon snapped as he blasted Malfoy with a simple flinging hex
Malfoy went flying and hit the wall.
"Pathetic that was cast at half speed it would have been simple to dodge to that end that's exactly what this lesson is about Mr Potter, Mr Weasley, Ms Granger step up." Devon said
The three did so
"Face the class." Devon said
They did
"The four of us will be hitting you with a painting spell I will be gold Harry will be Red. Ron will be Blue and Hermione will be yellow. Your job is to leave the classroom without a single drop of paint on you. Otherwise you will wear it for the rest of the day." Devon said
"Any questions?" Devon asked
A Slytheryn girl raised her hand
"Yeah why are Potter and his goons singled out as not needing to do this?"
Devon didn't say anything he just stomped his staff on the ground and a blast of spell fire impacted the wall and blew a chunk of stone onto the ground
Harry was bent backwards in a limbo.
Ron was midway doing a push-up
Hermione had squared down and leveled her wand at Devon.
Devon turned to the boys
"Only Hermione was able to face the attacker and dodge at the same time to that end…" Devon paused and turned around to see the real Harry pointing his wand at Devon from the other side as He vanished and so did Weasley who was behind him
"You were saying?" Ron asked
"Just demonstrating my point…" Devon said
"We know…" Harry said a wolffish grin on his face as he faced the class
"We just wanted it to be extra clear." Ron finished
Devon smiled
"Begin!" He snapped
And all hell broke loose in the classroom as screams filled the hallway.
By the end of the class everyone but Harry Ron Hermione and Devon were covered in paint of all four colors. Not without lack of trying after a student Parried a spell with her wand accidentally with a shield then casted her own paint spell at the four without repercussions everyone started to do it. Unfortunately the dodges Harry, Ron and Hermione did before weren't just for show.
However in the nine classes the entire school could have said to have learned more from Devon than they had Lockhart for the entire year.
With the massive reveal of the chamber of secrets finished Hagrid has come back Lucius Malfoy was humiliated quiet spectacularly by Devon
"Ah Lucius I had wondered where I found that book before." Devon said
"I don't know what's your talking's about." Lucius said
"Oh really? Why let me show you?" Devon said as he grabbed a strand of memory from his head twisted it around his fingers like a snot making everyone cringe as he threw his hands out and they saw the confrontation with Arthur and Lucius clear as day. And him putting the book in her caldron
Devon waved the memory away.
"I wonder if we suppeniad your house what other dark artifacts we'd find in there Lucius? Hmmm?" Devon asked
"That memory doesn't prove anything it could be tampered with!" He snarled
"No Lucius I'm afraid your wrong. Tampureed memories coming from the head have a more foggy color to them unless the user doesn't know they are tampered with…I'm afraid his evidence is clear as day."
Albus said as Harry and Devon smiled
Devon stepped forward "however I'll be willing to put this aside for a few concessions on your part."
"And what part is that?" Lucius asked
"First you step off the board of governors of Hogwarts second allow the Muggle Protection Act to pass. And third
Never interfere with Harry potters life or any life of any student of Hogwarts again sat for your son got it?" Devon asked
Lucius scowled
Devon held his hand up "do this and this memory never sees the light of day." Devon said as he put the memory back in his mind
Lucius scowled and spun away "come Dobby"
Harry asked Dumbledore for the and he nodded and ran out.
Devon sat down
"So headmaster what are you thinking about Voldemort?"
Dumbledore paused "I'm not sure I need to confirm it myself but I'm suspecting a soul anchor." He said
Devon nodded "it would make sense seeing as what he said in the chamber but I thought that was a myth."
Dumbledore's eyes twinkled "some would say the Chamber of Secrets is a myth."
Devon rolled his eyes "ok you got me there." He looked over his shoulder "I'm going to check up on Harry goodby headmaster." Devon said as he stood up
In the time away Harry freed Dobby. And Harry made promises not to save me again which made Devon laugh his ass off
Harry rolled his eyes as the little elf popped away
"Really?" He asked
Devon chuckled "I'm sorry man it's just…gods it's too funny "please Don't save my life again." Devon said all dramatically.
Harry rolled his eyes "well yeah but still the idea of the bludger. The fruit pudding, the Barrier." Harry listed
"Ok ok I get it…he's over-eccentric." Devon tried to place the right word.
Harry sighed "let's just get back to the common room.
That night at dinner Hermione and hagrid came back and Dumbledore stood up
"Furthermore! With the overwhelming evidence that Rubeus Hagrid wasn't the one who opened the chamber he is now officially reinstated as a student. When he's not making his time as groundskeepers." Dumbledore said
Everyone cheered but the Slytheryn's
Devon looked over to Albus but Dumbledore just gave him a wink.
Finally they were on the train heading back to kings cross station the air in the train car was palpable Harry and Ginny sat together but they were tense
Devon sat across from them eyeing them carefully. As Ron was fiddling with scabbers
Hermione was reading
Finally after a bit she put her book down.
"Oh cheer up you two? It's only going to be a few weeks." She said
Harry looked up as Ginny glared "Hermione you-." She stopped as both Harry and Ginny made eye contact and both looked down at their hands.
"That bad huh?" Ron asked
"Worse than Aunt Muriel's." Ginny said
Ron froze. "Really?" He asked
"They starve him Ron!" Ginny snapped "at least with our aunt we got food!"
"Ginny." Harry said
That was the straw the broke the dam as Ginny crawled up to Harry's side and just openly wept
Devon stood up followed by Hermione and Ron. The three nodded and left the train car to give the two some time.
Devon upon leaving soundproofed the door to make sure no one would enter. And make Devon aware when they were done so they could come back in.
Ron looked destraught
"It must be bad for Harry there. Ginny always said she's go hungry than eat another meal at Aunt Muriel's." Ron said
Devon gripped his shoulder "I'll take care of them." He said
Ron nodded "I'll owl you when the trip for Egypt is ready." He said
Devon nodded
Soon they went back into the room and found the two laughing as Harry talked about a few good times at school or whenever Dudley made a fool of himself
"And then he was big like "plufffff" Harry made a raspberry which made Ginny giggle.
Devon and the others smiled but they all looked at each other concerned and they knew one thing
'This isn't healthy for Harry.'
They reached Kings cross and they stepped out they saw the Dursley's waiting
Harry gave the others a firm hug like it was the last hug he will ever receive making everyone who knew him a little bit sad inside.
Arthur was last as he whispered "we're trying to get out Harry just hang on."
Harry nodded and with Ginny in hand headed over the standard English car. In the standard English street. On an absolutely standard English day.

And that's the end of Chamber as you can see a lot better than what I had for the first book ending. Things are going a bit off the rails from now on but will keep major plot points relatively the same.
Next chapter is PoA and it's coveres the entirety of Harry's and Ginny's summer at the Dursley's ( something I find that is mostly skipped about in other stories)
