PoA 2
The first classes of the day were something as a spectacle for Harry as He first went to Runes with Devon and Hermonie where he found he could read the book of runes just like normal text. And understand it just fine something Devon could also do
Harry raised his hand.
"Yes Mr Potter, a question?" The teacher said
"Yeah um what you said about the last passage in the book is wrong it says that The runes we're not an alphabet but sigils written on old Germanic maps to delegate locations." Harry said
The teacher paused and smiled "does anyone else in this class get that from the book?" They asked
Hermione glaired at Harry for calling the teacher out. But she was shocked at her next statement.
"That's correct Harry. What I said was a gross simplification of the system of runes to allow the class easier access to knowing them; however your answer will be the actual right answer in the quiz we will be taking so be sure you remember that students." The teacher said
"Harry, Devon, see me after class." The teacher said.
As the class left the teacher talked to the two
Professor Bathsheda Babbling sat at their desk. "Now as you've noticed being able to read runes Purely from text is a very rare ability. The practice is nearly considered myth. However it is grounded in actual Pagan practices. Something I know one of you are. But it looks like your training another." The professor said
Devon smiled.
"I expect to see great things from you." The professor said
Devon and Harry headed off to there next class.
The next class they got was Arthermacy. Which flowed very well into lunch where ginny came to meet them for lunch and tell them about the class with Professor Lupin.
"It's an amazing class you have to do it." Ginny said
Devon looked to Harry "do you have any idea what's going on?"
"No she blocked my vision the entire time." Harry said
"Such control so quickly…" devon said
They learn from Ron that Malfoy did something stupid and got attacked by a hippogriff.
Devon rolled his eyes "moron." He said
Eventually they go to class and Lupin gives a lesson on boggarts. He smiled as he taught everyone the spell riddikulus
And then he opened the closet.
Everyone went except Harry. When he stepped up everyone froze when suddenly it shifted in a dark figure
Harry felt shaken and Devon ran up but Lupin got to him first which changed into a moon. "Riddikulus!" Lupin said
And suddenly it changed into a balloon and the lesson ended.
Later Harry watched as the third year class went off to Hogsmead. Harry was forced to stay back with Ginny. And while he didn't mind having alone time with Ginny Devon was also not allowed to go because of Harry.
"Sorry about you having to stay." He said
Devon shrugged "it's fine Harry." I don't mind I'm here to protect you." He said
Harry nodded "I know I'm just guilty I'm ruining your time is all." Harry said
Devon and Ginny rolled there eyes. "Well stop it." Ginny said
Harry nodded
They found Lupin in his office and decided to talk that day.
"Hello Harry. Please sit down." He said
Harry Ginny and Devon did so.
"Now Harry you're probably wondering why I didn't let you face the boggart."
Harry spoke "you thought it was going to change into lord Voldemort and create panic." Harry said
"I was afraid it would change into Voldemort and-…and yes…" Lupin said with a smile on his face
Harry smiled
"Ah Harry. You're quite a bright mind."
"The thing is professor I've noticed that Harry's boggart wasn't Voldemort…but a dementor." Devon said
"It also had the same effect on me as it did on the train." Harry said
"Yes the boggart changes into the thing you fear the most…so it's notable that your fear is actually fear itself." Lupin said
"I don't want to feel powerless." Harry said
Devon grabbed his shoulder as Ginny grabbed his hand Lupin stroked his chin.
"There is only one spell I know that can repel a dementor." Lupin said looking at Devon but shook his head
"Casting a Pagan spell puts you on a blacklist if found out and as you can see they're pretty ineffective against dementors."
Lupin sighed "I guess I can try to teach you the patronus Charm. But know it's hard for people to master. Heck sometimes people themselves never get it."
Harry nodded "I want to try." He said
Lupin sighed
"Alright…let's start now then. Lupin said as he stood up
"If you all want to learn you can. Wands out." Lupin said
Ginny and Harry stuck there wands out Devon thrusted his staff forward
Lupin looked over but didn't comment
"Now the incantation is Expecto Patronum." The teacher said
They mirrored him
"Excellent. Now as you can see, your wand didn't do anything. That's because simply there is a major thing your missing. And that's intent and feeling. The Patronus charm is especially effective to beat the dementors because while they feed on negative emotions the patronus charm is fed on positive emotions. Thus driving them off." Lupin said
Harry and the others nodded
"Let's try it again, this time think of your most happiness's moment. And say the spell again
"Expecto patronum." Harry said and his wand lit up with a silver mist.
"Expecto Patronum!" Ginny said and an even brighter wisp came out.
"Expecto Patronum!" Devon snapped…however nothing…
Lupin looked around shocked "ok I didn't expect that. Harry, Ginny usually it takes months to get it down to that level. Now Devon, I can see where your coming from. What memory did you choose?" Lupin asked
"The last time I saw my mother…" Devon said
Lupin nodded "there's a lot of sadness attached to that moment isn't there." He said
"She died soon after…" Devon said
Lupin nodded
Harry looked at Devon
"Think about the first time you got your wand. As a suggestion." Harry said
Devon nodded and he tried again and a bright light equal to Ginny's filled the room
Lupin was impressed. "Harry Potter!" Lupin yelled making Harry jump shocked
Lupin ran up and hugged him "if you do something like that again I just might have to quit my job and give it to you, that was amazing!" He said
Harry was stunned and as he looked around he saw Devon looked captived at the end of his staff as Ginny grinned.
Lupin pulled away "your parents will be so proud!" He said
Harry smiled
"Right now we have the harder part." He said
"Harder?" Harry asked
Professor Lupin was dragging a chest out.
"Doing it under pressure." He said
"This is a boggart I didn't use. In the class. Now Harry, come forward you have to be the first so it changed into the right thing." Lupin said
Harry stepped towards Professor Lupin "now unfortunately the only way to do this is by trying. Fortunately I'll at least give you the warning before we start." He said
Harry nodded
As Lupin kicked the chest and a dementor came out.
"Expecto patromun… Expecto Patronum… Expecto Patronum!"
Harry was thrown down as a bright barrier sent it back in the crate by Lupin.
Harry panted as Ginny ran up to him "are you ok?" She asked
Harry looked up "yeah…now with you…" Harry said
Ginny and Harry shared a kiss. While Lupin and Devon watched
"Just like James and Lilly…" Lupin said
Devon smiled
"Shall we try again?" Harry asked
"Lupin wanted to say No saying they were too exhausted. But Devon waved him off "Ah there find you'll be surprised how much they can do…" Devon said
Lupin sighed
"Alright back." He said
Harry and Ginny stood next to each other as Lupin released the boggart.
Harry felt the overwhelming sense of dread overwhelm him
"Expecto Patronum!" He said again nothing
Devon watched in anticipation "come on Harry."
"Expecto Patronum!" Harry said louder he was getting dizzy now
Ginny watched Harry sadly as she stepped forward and grabbed his gas as Harry was about to say it
"Expecto-." Harry looked at Ginny and the two smiled
The biggest smile ever and turned at once to the Dementor
"EXPECTO PATRONUM!" They shouted
Immediately their wands flared up as there love for one another filled their minds. And out of the tip of there wands came two corporal Patronums. A Stag and a doe which slammed into the dementor and sent it reeling into the box.
Lupin was stunned as he looked to see the Stag and Doe standing in the classroom like living nature animals, their closeness matched the closeness of their summoners.
Lupin looked at the Patroni and the Harry and Ginny and turned to Devon "what are you not telling me?" He asked
Devon shrugged "they share a soul bond." He said
Suddenly the door opened and Severus Snape walked in and stopped at the door seeing the patroni
"Ah Severus!" Lupin said
Snape gulped and walked over and handed Lupin his potion and walked out.
"The strongest Patronus I've ever seen." Severus said
"I know…it's from Harry and Ginny." Lupin said
Severus growled before he spun off.
Devon looked at the potion as Lupin stores it.
"It's a full moon in a few days…" Devon said
Lupin paused
"How did you?" He asked
"I'm a Druid, give me some credit…" he said
Lupin nodded before he coughed
Devon shut his eyes "You're poisoning yourself." Devon said
Lupin looked up
"It's the only way…the Potion is the one way to make sure that my transformations are under control." He said
"At the expense of a shorter lifespan. Your physical ingestion Silver in that potion. Which to humans is non poisonous but to a werewolf is." Devon said
Lupin shook his head "there is no other way…" he said
"That's because no one has tried." Devon said
Harry walked up "what's up?" He asked
Lupin waved his hand "it's fine." He tried to say
"Professor Lupin is a werewolf." Devon said
Harry and Ginny were shocked as Devon explained.
"The only way to control the transformations is to ingest Wolfsbane Potion. However doing so requires the person to injest an ungodly amount of silver at a few intervals at a time over the span of the week. Enough to kill the wolf should it transform fully. Thus the werewolf inside is stuck between the hard choice of fully transforming or not to preserve its life."
"It's better than nothing." Lupin said saddened
"It's a tortured existence!" Devon snapped
Harry stepped forward "there must be something we can do." Harry asked
Lupin shook his head "your mother tried very much but when they went into hiding they left their notes behind in their manor. No one has seen them." Lupin said
"Manor?" Harry asked
"I shouldn't have said that. Albus didn't want you finding out about that-."
"Fuck Dumbledore!" Devon snapped Lupin looked over shocked
Harry also had an angry look
"We're in the belief that He's trying to control Harry's life for some unknown goal. And that's he's intentionally putting Harry in an abusive environment to make him more weak and submissive to others demands."
Lupin was shocked
"W…what?" He asked
Devon nodded
"He kept my fathers cloak from me until Christmas of my first year." Harry said
That cloak was to be given to you when you were five I remember in the will." Lupin said
"Will?" Devon asked
Lupin looked outraged "no…" Lupin grabbed a letter from his drawer and cracked it open
"Oh shit…" Lupin said as he dropped the letter
"What?" Harry said as he reached over
Lupin made a grab for it but the letter flew out of the table and into Devon's hands he handed it to Harry.
Harry read the will of his father and mother.
"Do you know what this means?!" Harry roared
"What love?" Ginny asked as she hung off his arm
Harry showed her and in bold letters
"Sirius Black was not the Potters Secret keeper."
"The ministry is actively hunting the wrong man." Harry said
"Then who betrayed the Potters?" Devon asked
"The only other one who knew…Peter Pettigrew…" Lupin said
He stood up "I got to give this to Dumbledore." He said
"Wait!" Devon said as he copied the letter and handed it to Lupin "now give it to him." He said
"You really don't trust him that much?" He asked
Devon nodded
Lupin sighed and headed out.
Devon looked at the others "Ron and Hermione should be coming back soon. We need to tell them." Devon said
Harry nodded
Devon stood up "I'm going to make sure this gets in the hands of the right people." I'll meet you back in the common room."
As Devon vanished Harry and Ginny arrive to find the place in panic as Dumbledore leads them into chaos.
Harry and Ginny are lead to the great hall where they spend the night. Where Dumbledore hears Lupin descuss what he found
"My boy why you we countune this in my office?" He asked
"No! Right here." Lupin said
Harry watched the confrontation as Albus's smile faltered "my boy…I've done all I could to help people."
Harry gasped as he watched as Lupin freely gave him the will of the Potters and shread it up.
'That…fucker!' Harry roared in his mind
'What love?' Ginny asked
'He tore up the potter's will…' Harry said
Ginny gasped which made the two adults turn around
"Who else knows?" Albus asked
Suddenly the door opened
"The right people." Devon said carrying Sirius black in chains lead by Amelia Bones.
"Sirus black has been exonerated of all crimes committed against him by his wrongful imprisonment. And is to receive a full pardon. However his betrayer and the actual killer as told by Black has yet to be found so the dementors will remain on campus until he is. Something you will help with right Headmaster?" Amelia bones asked
The students shuffled around they had woken up by the opening the door putting Albus in a tough spot
And for once in his life The smile across Albus's face fell.
"Of course." He said
"Harry." He said
"Sirius!" Harry said as he ran up to him and hugged him
Sirius smiled "not long now… once I'm fully pardoned you will get away from the Dursley's Your firend devon has explained everything…including what my so called firend had been up to behind my back." Sirius said
Lupin turned around sadly
"Sirius I…I'm sorry for doubting you that day I… I never thought-."
"Save it!" Sirius snapped
Lupin looked up shocked. But then rejected. Of course he would be angry at him. How could he not.
"I'm not talking about you idiot. I'm talking about the beloved headmaster behind you." Sirus snarled
Lupin looked back in horror.
"When I get out of these chains the first thing I'm doing is pulling the Black fund from this school." Sirius said he turned to Amelia.
"Bones my darling. Take me away from this place. Oh and Mooney take care of Prongs cub for me Huh?" He said
Lupin could barely hold back tears "you got it padfoot." He said
"We'll catch the rat soon boys! Sirius screamed before letting out a laugh which echoed the halls."
Lupin turned to Albus and held his wand at the headmaster
"I think it's safe to say that the students are safe to go back to their dorm right sir?" Lupin asked
Dumbledore was shaking in anger his plan foiled in ruin all because of that stupid Druid.
"Yes I do believe you are right." He said with a genteel smile.
The students headed to their own dorms.
As Ron got on the bed he noticed something…
Scabbers is missing.
The day following was a defense against the dark arts lesson. And Lupin was sick so professor Snape taught the class much to everyone's disappointment at it not being Devon again. As Snape touches upon werewolves. Against the guidelines. Insinuating the possibility that Lupin was a werewolf. Harry, Hermione, Ron, Ginny and Devon are pissed. As they leave Ron looks anxious around the hallway
The next day Ron barged in on Hermione. Livid he had had enough."
"I'm going to kill that Kezeal Hermione!" He said
Harry, Ginny, Devon, and Hermione stood up
"Why?!" Hermione asked
"He's finally eaten Scabbers!"
"Oh you stupid boy my cat doesn't eat rats?!" Hermione screamed!
"Well he's gone and I can't find him."
"ENOUGH!" Devon snapped
"Honestly please you two. Ron I know you don't want to hear this but I don't think it's right to look for Scabbers." Devon said
"Why?" Ron asked
"Because I believe he's-."
"Peter Pettigrew?" Fred and George said at the same time holding a big amount of parchment in their hands.
Devon turned around… why…yes how did you?"
The twins dropped the parchment on the table.
"It's called the marauder's map." Fred explained "we nicked it from Filches office one year in detention."
"It was made by missers "Mooney, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prong's."
"I recognized three of those names from last night." Harry said
George snapped his fingers and pointed at him "and right you should be Potter. We believe that Mr. Lupin and Black were in fact the marauders from a bygone era.
"Plus how Black phrased you as Prongs cub. And seeing as you said he was your godfather." Fred said
"My my you've certainly been busy…" a voice said from behind them as Lupin stood by the door
"Ummm…" Fred and George went silent.
Lupin stepped forward "well we'll nicking this old relic from Filch's office. Very hard to do…and impressive." He said as he tapped his wand and it folded itself up
"I can't think of anyone better suited to have it." He said looking at them
"Well you see." Fred and George said
"We've already got our own map in our heads… less we get stuck with contraband… so we were thinking of gifting in to. Shall we Say Prong's Cub I do believe if the wording was correct." George said as he grabbed Harry
Lupin smiled "yes you ears didn't deceive you. And carrying on the potter tradition in more ways than one what do you say Harry? Are you up for it?" Lupin asked
Harry smiled "hell yeah." He said
Lupin looked at the boys.
"Now you mentioned Pettigrew, where?" Lupin asked
Fred waved his wand "I solemnly swear I'm up to no good." He said as the map folded out to reveal the castle grounds
And after a bit of searching they found it "there!" George said poking the parchment
Lupin looked livid "son of a bitch." He said
Ron looked up "but that doesn't mean he's Scabbers!" He said
Lupin looked up "no Ron but there's the thing all of the marauders were animagus it how we got our names. Wormtail or Pettigrew now. Was a garden rat.
"And he cut off his finger." Devon said
"And Scabbers is missing a toe." George said
Ron looked over to Hermione
"Hermione…have Crookshanks hunt."
The cat lept from her arms and ran down the hall.
Hermione watched her cat run before she flew herself into him. As the two embraced "I shouldn't have doubted you Mione." He said
Harry smiled
"Oh shit I got a game soon!" Harry hissed
"Better run mate and get changed we'll follow you and give you the map later."
"Actually no!" Lupin said
"I have to do a few things first with it. I'll give you map the next time you come to my office for extra defense lessons." Lupin said
"Extra defense lesson's!" George asked
"Can we join?" Fred asked
Lupin looked to Harry who shrugged "what would my father say?"
Lupin smiled, "bring 'em all."
However Harry right now had Quidditch so he had to go get ready for that.
And due to Malfoy's arm Slytheryn was unable to play and as such Hufflepuff was against Gryffindor this morning.
Harry walked out of the pitch his wand secretly under his quidditch robes, a practice he'd been using for a while. To protect himself
Unfortunately Harry was caught and penalized for it losing a 15 second head start to the Hufflepuff Seaker Cedric digeory. His teammates glared at him for bringing a wand but he shrugged it off
"Look guys 15 seconds isn't a big deal just play normally it won't be much." Harry said
"Won't be much Harry your action could cost us the game!" Wood said
Harry turned on him "Look wood you do yoyr job and I'll do mine and I swear I'll get you to the finals and the trophy got it?" Harry said
Oliver sighed "I'm making that a promise." He said
Madam hooch announced the start of the game and the penalty to gryffindor for carrying a wand into the event. And a fifteen second head start for Hufflepuff seeker
"I hope you enjoy cheating Harry now you will only see my bristils." Digory said almost insulted that Harry would stoop so low as to cheat on him
"We will see Cedric. Enjoy those 15 seconds while you can." Harry said
Cedric looked at him his growl faded into a competing sporting one "I think I will Harry. May the best seeker win." He said
Harry stood on the ground while the rest of the players mounted up.
"Let the game…begin!" Hooch yelled as she tossed the quffal into the air and gryffindor got first possession.
Harry looked around on the ground for the snitch and was actually shocked to find he could follow it easily on the ground while Cedric was looking in the wrong spot behind Harry.
"It looks like Harry has his eye on one spot wait…"
Harry decided to look away and lose track of the snitch for more of a fare game.
Madam hooch looked at Harry "ok now you can fly."
Harry looked back at the spot he previously saw the snitch and noticed it was gone.
Good this will be a fun game.
Harry sores off like a rocker blasting past the players some. nearly fell off. Jordan had to commentate
"Woah look at Harry go quiet a rocket that one. I think gryffindor needs to have a 15 second penalty every game to even the play." He said
"Jordian!" McGonigall said
"What but professor I wasn't being biases." Jordan argued
"Don't give the other teams an edge!" McGonigall said
Jordan rolled his eyes "yes madam."
Cedric looked at Harry in awe. This was why Harry was unworried about the 15 second edge. Harry was a much better flyer to the point the 15 seconds didn't give a damn.
Cedric gripped his broom harder, he would have to give it his all for this one.
Harry flew over to Cedric. "I'll give you this one hint Cedric I saw the snitch at the other end of the pitch. Have a fare game." Harry said as he flew off
Cedric was stunned did Harry Potter…surely?…no no time for that he had a snitch to catch and to dethrone Harry Potter as the "unbeatable seeker."
As Cedric looked around he noticed the score was 50-60 in terms of gryffindor lead. He looked for the snitch and thought he saw a golden flash but it was just some Slytheryn's using mirrors. Trying to duke the Seekers out.
Cedric hissed at the dirty trick they must've been mad, because they didn't get to play.
Cedric noticed Harry was going into a dive and followed across the field after him
Knowing Harry he know he couldn't win a traditional race against him on brooms so he decided to play a bit more unfair and try to cut off the snitch
Harry noticed this and moved a bit over to the right to impede Cedric's process making him bank fast to avoid a collision. He hissed as Harry had outplayed him and was now eating his broom trail.
"The chase is on!" Jordan said as he looked up "and it looks like Hufflepuff scored tying the game 70-70." He said
Harry and Cedric were in a race against the snitch. The two players were slowly gaining but Cedric knew Harry wasnt going as hard as he could.
"I know you couldn't win easily. Why not now?" Cedric asked during the rain
"Because that's no fun!" Harry said as the snitch pulled up both players followed.
"I admit you threw me into a loop Harry!" Cedric said
Harry smiled and relized something it was getting colder
'Oh shit no.' Harry said
"Cedric dive!" Harry snapped
"What why?" Cedric asked thinking Harry was trying to trick him
"CEDRIC DIVE NOW!" Harry snapped
Cedric seeing the absolute fear in Harry's eyes listened as he dived back toward the pitch.
Surprising as he looked back Harry dived as well… and was going faster than him…
And when Cedric looked back he found out why
Dementor's hundreds of them flying after Harry.
In the stands Jordan commentated on the seeker battle "there climbing higher and higher that snitch is nasty this game." He said
"Wait a second both Seekers broke off of the snitch. There coming back down. And fast…" he said
The audience was concerned heck the players were concerned. Harry was never one to break off a snitch pursuit he'd rather die or crash than to do that.
So what made him?
"Look from the clouds!" A student said pointing
Cedric was the first to break cloud cover and flew as if his life Depended on it screaming
"Clear the field! Clear the field!"
Jordan leaned in "what's he screaming?" He asked
Suddenly Harry burst through followed by hundreds of dementors
"Dementors! Here!?" Jordan screamed
And mass panic followed
The players were stunned as they looked at Oliver who gulped
"I think Harry had a valid reason for bringing his wand." Angeline said
Harry flew as well as he could trying to keep the dementors solely focused on him. But he was getting tired. His hands were freezing up he could hear screaming in his ears.
But he pushed himself he had to
Suddenly from around him silver wipes and animals flew around him and crashed into several dementors. Making Harry gasp as he was giving more breathing room.
Albus Dumbledore stood up livid how dare they invade this school he flicked out his wand and raised his wand and yelled in a booming voice
"Expecto Patronum!"
Suddenly a silver Phoenix flew out of his wand and enlarged to engulf the field.
Harry was flying directly for it
Harry looked up to see the phenix just in time as he covered his face as he flew pass it. And out the otherside just fine.
However the dementors were not so lucky going at such a speed making them unable to stop they smacked into the Patronus and were destroyed.
However Harry was also knocked out and fell to the ground of the pitch. As his broom flew off.
Harry allowed darkness to take him as he saw devon run down to the pitch to check on him.
Following the Quidditch match. Harry woke up in the hospital. Surrounded by the Quidditch Team. "What happened?"
Oliver stepped up "what happened is you were attacked by a hundred of dementors. And gave some of the best flying the school had ever seen."
Harry sighed "sorry I missed the snitch." Harry said
"It's fine Harry. Cedric refused to catch the snitch so it's unclaimed. There's going to be another match In a few weeks when Madam Pompey says you should be free to leave." Oliver said
"Yes Dumbledore was livid to see the dementors on the field and after arguing with the prime minister has agreed to move them away from the school. Seeing as they are not needed to hunt for black I don't even know why they are here." Hermione said
"A lot of people are wondering that." Devon said from the door. He stepped forward "how are you doing Harry?" He asked
Harry weakly stretched out his hand.
"Mr Potter is very weak!" Madam Pomfrey said as she came back carrying Ginny Weasley in her arms.
Harry was alert instantly "what happened?" He asked
The medi-witch looked at Harry "you." She said
"Everyone but Mr. Oakland out! I need to do my job I'll update you as soon as possible." She said
Harry watched as The media itch placed Ginny on Harry's Bed where they found each other's hand
And suddenly everything felt right
The medi-witch sighed "your already regaining some color. Here I want you to finish all of this at least half for yourself and half to your other bondmate." She said
Harry nodded as he began to chew.
Devon looked over at the mediwitch. "Is there anything else I can do?" He asked
She shook her head "I didn't expect Bringing them together would be as effective. I was going to ask you to use a healing spell on them but it seems it's not necessary. Right now they just need rest but I'm sure the team has something to say so I'll let them say that first." She said
Devon nodded "I'll bring them in then." He said
As everyone came in Harry could see the guilty look on them as he asked
"What happened?"
Harry was brushing Ginny's hair as a sign of comfort and to know she was there."
Listen Harry. You took a pretty hard fall once you flew into that Patronus. Devon was able to catch you just barely. But he was unable to save your Broom as it flew off." Hermione said
"It landed in the whomping willow." Ron said
The rest of the team unrolled the blanket to reveal the splinters of the Nimbus 2000.
Harry sat stunned when suddenly the door opened "where is he?!" A voice yelled
"Mr black please calm down!" Madam Pomfrey said
"I will not calm down until I know he's safe Damn it it's my fault!" He said
"Sirius no it's not." Another voice said
"Damn it Mooney yes it is the dementors we're after! The ministry didn't tell them that I wasn't to be touched again and they came after me!" Sirius said.
Madam Pomfrey looked to see the Quidditch team giving way to show black that Harry was safe
"Oh Harry…" Sirius said
"I'm alright I'll be set to leave in a few weeks and there will be another game I'll be better than ever." He said

Harry nodded "So I won't be penalized if I bring it to the next match, good. It's not that I don't trust the ministry or anything, it's just I'd rather be sure than not." Harry said
Everyone nodded.
Sirius gave Harry a big hug "I'm so proud of how well you flew your father would be proud." He said
Harry nodded
Sirius pulled away.
"As for your broom don't worry about it I'll get you s new one." He said
"You don't have to." Harry said
"I don't but I am because it's my fault." Sirius said as he pulled away
"I'll let you rest." He said as left. The rest of the team followed.
Harry and Ginny rested up and the next day Ginny was released.
Harry was fortunate that whenever she could Ginny came by so Harry wasn't alone.
And within a few weeks Harry had gotten a new broom from Sirius a Firebolt.
Harry groaned as he knew it was from Sirius. Hermione looked it over and found a note "yoyr father would be proud." She said as she held up the card and saw a paw print on the page.
"Padfoot." Harry said with a smile.
Hermione rolled her eyes "of course." She said
Ron took the Broom carefully. "I'll put it away with your stuff. I won't touch it. Usually brooms are very picky with their first fliers." He said as he levitated the broom away.
Devon watched from the sides as Lupin came in.
"Now I know your getting showered with gifts lately and it might seem it's trying to be get well stuff. Well I think the twins are trying to give you a get well toilet but that's beside the point. The thing is James didn't like to be showered with gifts and glory. Well he did when he was younger but he secretly hated it. He played along as one was supposed to bring a Lord of a noble family but he secretly hated it, something I think he passed to you. Needless to say this isn't a get well it's just the timing worked out that way." Lupin said as he handed him the Marauder's map back
Harry smiled.
Harry was let out of the hospital on that Friday with Hermione giving Harry what happened in classes and her notes for him to copy. and the next day Saturday the rematch between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor was set.
The day was clear a perfect day for Quidditch. As everyone went onto the field. Or stands.
Madam hooch gave a speech about the game and the players were off.
Almost immediately they goals were almost secondary to the judges as every looked on to see Harry Potter try out the firebolt.
Harry gave a solid stomping really enjoying the broom as Cedric was looking at Harry impressive.
"You really are a good flyer Harry." He said
Harry nodded "yeah this broom is like a dream. I'm just not use to it." Harry said
Cedric nodded "don't think I'm going to let you get use to it. I have a game to win." He said
Harry smiled "fly away little boy." Harry said as he pushed his broom and sped away leaving Cedric in the dust.
Cedric growled and pushed his broom harder.
Harry looked and noticed the snitch as Cedric and Harry honed in on the snitch at the same time and blasted off
"Oh wow look at them go!" Jordan said
Harry and Cedric were neck and neck but Harry was able to just catch the snitch before Cedric. Making everyone cheer.
Harry and Cedric met on the ground "that was an amazing match Harry. I'm really glad we had a rematch." He said as they shook hands
"Yeah yeah me too." Harry said
In the ministry Sirius black was put on trial and he was as said before, issued a full pardon. And given his job back as an Aurora. And was immediately tasked with looking for Peter Pettigrew.
Black was true to his word after he was given a full pardon he went to Gringotts and pulled his funding from Hogwarts. As well as accepting his lordship ring. As head of the family.
Sirius sent Harry the firebolt that exact day. And immediately went to the ministry to take his test to re-enter the Aurora's
He was paired with Mad eye Moody. And kicked his but easily. Mad eye sat up "Alright you passed. You seemed to not even aged at all in Azkaban." He said
Sirius smiled " oh that's not true I just can hide it better." He said
Mad eye laughed as he took a drink from his flask before he paused and closed it
"Is it true that Albus was the exact reason that you were never freed?" He asked
Sirius nodded "before secret keepers were swapped they exactly put it in their will. And sealed it. Albus was supposed to unseal it but he never did." Sirius said
Mad eye shook his head "Damn shame…" Moody said
Sirus sighed
Back at Hogwarts. Harry is let out and is at the great hall in time for dinner as an announcement was heard.
"In the coming weeks it will be Christmas. And there will be a trip to Hogsmead that day, however due to the new manhunt for the real killer. There will be increased Arora around the village of Hogsmeade. Lead by the new lead investigator the recently exonerated Sirius Black." Albus said
Harry looked up and indeed Sirius stood up and smiled.
That night after dinner Harry caught up to Sirius Black. And got his attention
"Harry." Sirius said as he hugged his charge.
"What can I do for you?" He asked
"Im wondering if you could sign my Hogsmead form." Harry said
Sirius smiled "Oh why of course. Silly me here give me a second I'll hand this in directly to Dumbledore." He said as he signed the paper and headed down the hall. Saying good night.
Harry sat on the bed happy he would finally be able to go to Hogsmead for once.
"What do you mean no!?" Sirius yelled
"Black please!" Albus placated
"First you try to leave me to rot in Azakaban now yoyr not allowing Harry to visit Hogsmead? Why? There is no reason for it?!" He yelled
"There is a perfectly good reason for it, Sirius. First your unlawful imprisonment I admit it was my fault as it was buried under a large pile of paperwork from so long ago."
"But what about Hogsmead?!" Sirius asked
"Honestly Sirius. That's easy to understand why are you here?" He asked
"Peter…" Sirius said
Albus nodded "yeah and while I hate to do it I cannot condone Harry to make his way to Hogsmead until Peter is either driven from The school or is caught. Please understand I know I've made mistakes and I'm trying to fix them." He said
Sirius sighed "fine I'll allow it but only with a concession from you."
Dumbledore nodded he smiled it was easier to convince Sirius than he thought.
"Anything." He said
"Harry Potter will no longer live at 4 privet drive and instead live with me at 12 Grimmauld Place." Sirius said
"Absolutely not!" He said
"Why?! Harry is not in a good home there. He's just as protected under my roof as he is there."
"There is a select spell there that makes Harry more protected." Albus argued
"Harry is just as safe under Fidelius Charm as he is under blood ward's heck with the amount of abuse that goes on around there, I'm not surprised if he isn't weaker than he should be." He snapped
Albus stood up "Voldemort could easily-." Albus started
"No he can't after all you're the secret keeper for Grimmauld!" Sirius said he took a deep breath.
"Look I gave you what I'm willing to do. It's up to you to see what you choose." Sirius said as he left
Dumbledore sat in his chair and sighed 'how did all of this go wrong?' He asked
The next day Harry was given the bad news that he was unable to go to Hogsmead. Harry was distraught but accepted it. And thanked Sirius for trying.
The next Hogsmead weekend Harry watched them go. And sighed he looked at the Marauders map. And noticed a passages way that led to Hogsmead… and on the way there he noticed another
Peter Pettigrew.
He was trying to escape.
He looked over and saw Crookshanks several hallways away and Sirius black was running. In Hogsmead
No one was in route to catch him.
No one but Harry.
Harry steeled himself and he folded up the Map and started down the hall.
'Harry wait!' Ginny cried in his mind
'I need to stop him. He needs to pay I can at least stall him until someone can catch him.' Harry said in is mind
Ginny sighed and nodded as Harry said he loved her and ran into the passage.
From outside the secret passageway Severus Snape watched and strode forward "lumos!" He said as he walked in.
Harry threw the invisibility cloak over him as a way to sneak up on Peter.
Harry found him in the passageway in human form.
Harry flung a spell at Peter and stunned him
However a stone shifted making him miss.
Peter seeing he was caught changed into a rat and ran down the passageway
Harry ran after him.
Harry reached a spot where Peter vanished he looked around flashing Lumos
And in the hall he saw a big black dog
'Shit.' Harry sighed
Suddenly the dog stood up and revealed Sirius black
"I knew I would find you here Harry." He said he stepped forward "do you understand how dangerous it is for you to try to sneak into Hogsmead?" He asked
"I wasn't trying to?" Harry said
"Wasn't trying or not succeeding?" Black asked
"I found Peter on the map he was in this tunnel and I thought he was trying to use this passageway to escape." Harry said
"Did you run past him?" Sirius asked
Harry nodded "I tried to fire a stunner at him but I missed and he fled down here." Harry said
Sirius hissed "crap." He said
Harry shrugged "sorry." He said
Sirius grabbed Harry.
"Your fine pup. I jumped to conclusions. Thinking you were following my lead in the face of danger."
"It's not surprising. Potter does follow after his father well." A voice said
Harry turned around and saw Severus Snape there.
"Professor?" Harry gasped
"I wonder what your doing down here or how you found this passage or the note that Peter was here." Snape said
" how doesn't matter. What matters is that Harry saw Peter down here. And we have a lead for where he might be going. Now Harry I'd like to to come with me and I need to perform an interrogation on you about your confrontation with Pettigrew." He looked to Snape.
"Your service is no longer necessary. But thanks for your service." Sirius said.
Snape snarled and walked out of the passageway
Sirius winked at Harry.
"Put the cloak on and follow me." He said
Harry followed Sirius And after a while he started to crouch "duck down." He hissed and eventually they arrived outside in a sewer passageway as Serius took off the great and stood up. Harry followed
"Now we need to look for Peter." He said
Sirius reached out and grabbed his charge before he could run off
"Not so fast. First it's not your job. Second I didn't bust you out on Snapes detention. Just so you could run back into danger again. And I at least want to actually have you tell me about Peter. Because I never saw him." Sirius said
Harry nodded under the cloak
"I can't se if you understand kick a sone snow if you understand.
A small mound piled up on top of itself
Sirius nodded
"Now before we go in I have to tell you."
"Sirius look." Harry said as a hand appeared out of no where pointing
Sirius grabbed the floating hand and looked
"Rat tracks…" he said as he looked back
"Leading from the passageway." He said
"Peter." Both said
"Let's follow it." Sirius said
"Right behind you." Harry said
"Stick to my footsteps. No need to give yourself away here." He said
Sirius began walking carefully following the footsteps of Peter. As he walked the village.
However the tracks stopped in front of the three broomsticks.
Sirius looked back
And entered.
Sirius looked around and saw that the pub was empty for the moment.
"Your clear Harry. Let's sit at the bar." He said
Harry dropped the cloak and the two sat down as the bar as Madam Rosmerta strode up "what can I get you two?" She asked and then froze
"Black?" She asked
"That's Aurora Black now Rosie." Sirius said
Rosie nodded "very well what can I get?" She asked
"Two butterbeere's please." He said
Rosie nodded "I'll be right back." She said
Harry kept looking around. "We should keep an eye out for Peter." He said
"Harry relax. I brought you here so you can enjoy Hogsmeads under my protection. So you won't get in trouble." Sirius said
Harry sighed
Suddenly the door opened and Hermonie and Ron laughed as they entered the establishment.
Hermione looked at the bar and paused
"Harry? What are you doing here?" Hermione asked
"I'll say mate. You should be at the castle he said
Harry waved as Sirius turned around
"Ah your friends Harry?" He asked
Harry nodded
"Come sit with us." Sirius said as he tapped the counter "two more butterbeere's Rosie!"
Rosemerta smiled and brought 4 drinks over
"Let's go to a table somewhere." Hermione said
They sat in the corner of the room as Sirius and Harry sat against the wall.
"So mate why are you here?" Ron asked
(Harry explains he chaises after Peter and was caught by black.)
"Your lucky." Hermione said
"Yeah if. Sirius hadn't found you who knows what could've happened." Ron said
Harry shrugged as he took a sip of butterbeere. Not worried
"Besides what would Devon think?" Hermione thought.
Suddenly the smile on Harry's face dropped
"I umm…I didn't tell him." Harry said
"Devon?" Sirius asked
"3 years older than us white Ruana cloak and staff. He's practically Harry's bodyguard. Doing whatever he can to protect him. To the point he literally bought a house on Harry's street so he could watch over him." Ron explained
"Oh so that's how he knew about all that happened there." Sirius said
Harry nodded
"He was the first to figure out Harry and Ginny had a soul bond." Ron said
"Wait soul bond? I knew you were in a relationship with her but a soul bond?" Sirius asked
Harry nodded
Suddenly the door opened and several people walked in talking including Fudge. And McGonigall.
Harry was about to slide under the table but Sirius grabbed him
"Don't." He said
Harry looked at him "but I'm not supposed to be here I don't have my form signed
Sirius looked at his godson
"True but your here by me lead head of the investigation of Peter Pettigrew who you just had a recent run in with." Sirius said
Harry nodded and sat up straight taking a drink of butterbeer as Sirius got up to use the loo.
It wasn't five minutes that McGonigall caught sight of Harry
"Mr Potter, what are you doing here?! You don't have your form signed." She snapped
"It's fine Minnie the kids with me." Sirius said from the door
"Aurora black?" Cornelius fudge said
Sirius nodded "Minister." Black said
"How is your search for the traitor?" He asked
Sirius shrugged "still in its preliminaries but we're getting a lead." Sirius said
"And what is the use of Mr. Porter being here?" Professor Flitwick asked
"He apparently had a run in with Peter in the school and saw him flee and gave chase before losing him in about to ask him what he knows but it's possible he might be loose in Hogsmeade trying to flee the castle." Sirius said
Cornelius nodded "whatever happens we must catch him from what you've told me he's a very formidable enemy." He said
Black nodded "I will if you excuse me I have to speak to my godson before the trail turns cold." He said
McGonigall turned to Fudge.
"Is this even legal? I mean he is the boy's godfather?" She said
Fudge shook his head "you know the rumors the same as I when I was in these halls. "Only a Marauder can catch a Marauder." He said
McGonigall gasped
"So it's." She gasped
"Oh yes he admitted it. Making black the best pick to hunt for Peter while Lupin defends the school." Cornelius said
Back at the table Harry and Sirius talk about Peter.
"Give me the map." Sirius said as Harry did so
"What's that?" Hermione asked
"A tool we created. Let me show you one of the secrets.
"I solemnly swear I'm up to no good." He said as the first page appeared
"While pranks are fun stealth is key." Sirius said
The map wrote back. 'To what does mr. Padfoot need from the map?'
"Find me Wormtail." Sirius said
Suddenly the map blanked and it read "it appears the map cannot find Wormtail. Promptly use one of the handy spells made to locate him."
Sirius sighed
"It appears Peter is gone…" Sirius said
Harry nodded
Ron huffed
Sirius looked at the map
"Wait." He said as he tapped the map.
"Padfoot requests to look at the map."
The map opened. And found his location
As he scanned Hogsmead he found Peter on the map.
He stood up.
And Peter vanished.
Sirius grunted
"Bugger, he's disillusioning himself." He said
As he looked to see Crookshanks running after Peter on the map in the castle.
"That cat is a wonder." Sirius said with a smile revealing the other Peters location.
Harry stood up "we should probably head back to the castle." He said
Sirius nodded "yeah. He sighed "I wonder how Peter tricked the map. It's supposed to show everyone's true location's."
They arrived back at the Castle. And Sirius went around to search the castle. As Sirius changed into his animagus form and spoke to Crookshanks.
In a crack in the wall Peter watched planning the best way for him to leave.

And this dove into different year quickly. I originally wanted it to be close to third year but I found a way off it and I took it. So we'll as you can see obviously Dumbledore bashing is starting now. But he's also is trying to help…just not the best way…
