The Menace of the Mastermind
In the virtual training room at HQ, Tech and Razer were in the training deck watching Duck shooting down virtual ninjas, and he was enjoying it.
Duck: Ha, ha! In your face! That's a new high score!
Tech: How many times do I have to tell you? What I have created here is a state of the art virtual trainer, not a video game.
Razor: If this were an actual game it would be a lot more graphic.
Duck: Call it what you want, I'm the master! (blasts more ninjas) I rule this game! (blows smoke from gun)
Tech: Yes, you're quite the expert.
He pushed a button and the whole room went dark.
Duck: Hey! Who turned out the lights?
Razer: (Smirks) Try this level.
The lights came on and bigger guns were pointed at Duck. The lights turned off again and shots were heard firing at Duck.
Razer: (smirks) I'll call this a success and thanks for letting me test the guns Tech.
He then looks at Tech but noticed that he has a frowning face.
Razer: Yo Tech you alright. You seem kinda down.
Tech: I guess I just feel ashamed.
Razer: Of what? Duck won't care about the bots he'll forget soon. Not that is a problem.
Tech: No it's not that it's about Shane. I feel horrible about idolizing him for years and hearing about your past. It kills me everyday knowing that I supported that monster!
Razer: Tech you can't blame yourself there's nothing you could've done. The last time I checked your not Shane. The difference between you and him as scientist is that you have morals. And with those types you could actually surpass him.
Tech was surprised to hear this as the door opened and Duck walked out, as smoke sizzled off his body.
Duck: Hey! I was kicking virtual tail over here!
Razer: Aww really? Why don't you come for second.
Duck came near him skeptically. Razer than slaps him on the head and he falls to the ground.
Razer: Game over.
They hear Ace voice on the speakers.
Ace (speaker): Zadavia's on the line. We need you guys up here.
GREEN TRIANGLE
The Loonatics gathered around the meeting table where Zadavia's hologram appeared in the center.
Zadavia: Loonatics, there's been an escape from the Subterranean Maximum Security Prison. The file is being uploaded to you as we speak.
An image of a woman with purple hair, had a huge head, and wore a violet light weighted suit was on the screen.
Slam: Big head!
Ace: You said it.
Tech: Mallory…oh no.
Razer: You know this big head.
Zadavia: I want you all to get down there. Tech can fill you in on the way. Zadavia out.
Her hologram disappeared.
Ace: Let's jet!
YELLOW TRIANGLE
The Loonatics took the Loonaporter to travel to the Security Prison as Razer was taking his ship and leaving Silver behind.
Ace: So Tech, wanna tell us how you know Miss Melon Head?
Tech: Right before Zadavia put us all together, I was still a Gradstudent at AcmeTech.
GREEN TRIANGLE
Flashback to a young Tech, wearing glasses, green pants, black boots, a white lab coat with an orange shirt underneath, was busy typing something when a young woman with violet hair, glasses, black boots, a white sleeveless coat with a light purple long sleeved shirt underneath, and a dark purple skirt.
Tech: Mallory was a young protégée I was tutoring. She was working on a device that could amply brain waves, but I discovered that she had modified the device to transfer knowledge from other people's brains into her own. The University staff were gonna be her guinea pigs.
Tech finds onscreen a large yellow figure in the middle of the screen with three smaller figures on each side with lines leading from their heads to the yellow figure, indicating Mallory. Tech seemed shocked to learn this.
The University staff entered the room just in time to see device, unknown to what they would be really expecting.
Mallory: With just the flip of this switch, I will show you what it means to be brilliant.
She put on a helmet, then flipped the switch, and a purple lightning erupted from her machine. The staff members stared in awe. To save the staff members from being affected, Tech quickly deactivated the device.
Tech: So I stopped her and her evil head before it was too late. I had to do something before their minds were destroyed. Unfortunately, she was hit by a surge of bio electro neuron feedback.
Mallory was struck by one of the lightning bolts, and the machine exploded. Smoke filled the room. When it cleared up, Mallory's hair came loose, the helmet was off, and her head was now larger than it was before and her eyes were green. She glanced over at Tech, and figured out what he had done.
Tech: Take her away officers!
Two police officers came in and handcuffed Mallory.
Officer: Mallory Casey, you're under arrest!
As they carried Mallory out, she glared and shouted at Tech, who looked sad.
Mallory: YOU! You ruined my life's work! How dare you! Oh, I will get you, Tech! Someday, I will get you! You mangy dog!
GREEN TRIANGLE
Tech: And that's the last I heard of her, until now.
They landed at a construction site near the prison.
Ace: Come on, guys! We picked up some suspicious electrical activity in this area.
Tech: Mallory would have a fielding with equipment like this.
Duck: Me thinks this place is empty.
Lexi: Chill, Duck. Me thinks I hear someone thinking louder than any of us. We're not alone.
Tech: That's gotta be her.
Mastermind: Give that dog a bone!
Everyone looked up to see Mastermind on top of one of the construction vehicles. On her shoulder was a robotic pen she had brought to life to aid in her escape from prison.
Mastermind: Nice to see you again, Tech.
Tech: I wish I could say the same.
Duck: Some genius. You get an A for the escape, but a D on the getaway, sister!
Razer looks at Duck annoyed.
Razer: Duck. I know about break outs and this ain't one of them.
Mastermind: Impressive knowledge from one who've escaped out of 24 prisons.
The gang look surprised at this.
Mastermind: Oh I remember back when I was in jail I heard about a raccoon bragging about busting out 24 prisons.
Duck: Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! (Points to Razer.) You went to 24 prisons.
Razer: Now's not the time Duck.
Mastermind: He's right. This isn't about talking. This is about revenge. Isn't it, Tech? Eliminate those animals!
Other construction vehicles came to life and attacked the Loonatics, who dodged the attack. The machine Mastermind was standing on had a drill, which came down on Tech, but he jumped out of the way. Mastermind began chase.
Rev was being chase by the machine as it kept firing lazers at him. While Razer was trying to shoot it down on a dirt hill.
Rev: (while dodging lazers.) Hey, watch it with that! You missed me. Oops, missed again!
Razer: Hey Rev (holding a couple of mini bombs) why don't you give it a good spin.
Rev nods as he understands what Razer meant. He ran in circles around the machine making it float. Razer able to throw the bombs on the wheels and the main body.
Rev then stops next to Razer as the machine lands roughly on the ground.
It was weakly trying to fire again but as Razer was about to press the button and about to say something, but Rev interrupts him.
Rev: Can I say it. Please. Please. Please. Please. Please. Pleasssse.
Razer: (shrugs). Nock your self out.
Rev: KABOOM!
Razer press the button, triggering the bombs. Cause it to explode and destroying the machine.
They smirked at each other in success.
Ace and Lexi worked together as they bought down a vehicle that chased them. Lexi stunned it by sending her brain blast in its direction and Ace came towards the vehicle like a wrecking ball.
Slam and Duck has escaped from one of their attackers, but it was designed to climb buildings. Once the contraption made its way to the Loonatics, Duck threw his power orbs towards the weapon and Slam cycled around it, making the contraption fall onto the one where Mallory was standing as she chased after Tech. The smoke cleared and Mallory was nowhere to be seen.
Slam: Where is Big Head?
Tech: She's skulking around somewhere, but I've got something at HQ that will give her a headache. Where ever she is.
Duck then gave an accusing look to a certain raccoon.
Duck: Have any idea on where she went off Mr. Escape from 24 Prisons.
Razer: (tick) Do you really want to go there.
Ace: What does she mean by escaping out of 24 prisons.
Lexi: Actually Razer you did mention about being in 20 prisons to me and Rev. What happened there.
Duck: You two knew about this.
Ace: ENOUGH! (Clams down)
Everyone then looks at Razer.
Razer: Fine, those 20 prisons were about dealing racist jerks. The 3 were about bounty hunting action because apparently those are "Illegal" and giving some snuck up snobs what they deserve, and the last one was about working with a feline thief who goes by the nickname Black Cat who've left me behind. While she took off with the reward.
A looked confusion appeared on Ace's face when he heard about a certain someone from the last part.
Ace: (thought) She? Black Cat. Can it be? It can't be her. I'll think about it later.
He shook his head to get back to the first objective.
Ace: We'll talk about this later, let's get back to HQ and get whatever Tech's got for Miss Beach Ball Head.
The Loonatics got back in the Loonaporter and Razer back to his ship and drove back to HQ. As they approached their home, the tower lights are on.
Razer: (comm) Is it me or are the lights on.
Ace: It's not you. Who left all the lights on?
Slam: Don't look at me.
Just then, Mastermind's face appeared on screen.
Mastermind: I'm in complete control at your headquarters now, Tech. It's my turn to play with one of your inventions and is this going to be fun!
From HQ, Mallory released a pair of drones towards the Loonaporter and Razer's ship. Razer's ship was little damage as he destroyed the drone that was blasted him. The Loonaporter shook as it shot down and it caused the engine to fail from the attack. Ace tried his hardest to move the Loonaporter upwards but to no avail.
Ace: I can't hold it!"
Slam panicked while the Loonaporter nosed dived down to the streets below.
Commercial break at this point.
Ace: Everyone hang on, we're going down!
Duck: We're doomed, DOOMED!
Lexi: Ok, now's not the time to panic.
Duck: WHAT? Now is exactly the time to panic!
Slam: Yeah!
Razer destroys the drone and fired a tractor beam to hold the Loonaporter.
Razer: Gotcha.
Tech activates the breaks as they landed safely on the ground.
Through the security monitors, Mastermind and her little pen pal watched as the Loonaporter pulled up to the garage below HQ.
Mastermind: Ah my pet, company has arrived. Won't Tech just love the modifications I made to his little toys? And that raccoon sure made a interesting machine. It almost look's like an invention that Prof. Shane would make.
She had planted small devices on each of the guns Tech had invented and revealed a shadowy machine, while cackling.
The Loonatics headed out of their vehicles and Ace put in the code to enter. The first time he tried it, it wouldn't let him in. The second time, he got the same result. He knew that he was putting in the right code, but he had a feeling that someone had tampered with it.
Ace: That hideous head case locked us out of HQ.
Tech: Fighting your opponent from within its own stronghold, genius.
Razer: If we can't go in the front then we go below. Slam would you the honors.
He said to Slam as he drew an X on the ground. Slam knew what Razer meant as he did a spin tornado on ground and dig a hole that reach a way inside of HQ.
Ace: Good thinking guys.
Razer: Thanks, it was one escape planes I had to bust out.
They reach inside of their HQ. When they enter, they heard a rustling sound. They got ready for whatever it was. The noise came from the corner of the room. Only to be revealed to be Silver who've seemed to be shaken a little bit scared.
Razer: Silver! Thanks goodness you ok.
He picks him up and pat his head while putting him on his shoulder.
Rev sped over to a locked door and unlocked it with a code. At least it was one of the codes that Mallory had not tampered with. From within, a case the held an abundance of devices that Tech had made were displayed there waiting to be used.
Razer: Huh and I thought I was the only one who knew how to make weapons.
Tech: We'll you just make weapons for battle. I just built inventions.
Razer: You make it sound like they're a difference.
The rest of the Loonatics except Razer grabbed onto the devices.
Razer: Sorry Tech (holds up his weapon) I'll just stick to my own.
Duck: Okay enough head games. (He and the rest of the Loonatics grabbed onto the devices). time to go old school.
Once the six of the Loonatics got a hold of their weapons, a small chip that had been implanted onto them shimmered and a set of wires snaked out of the weapons and wrapped themselves onto the Loonatics' wrists. Razer noticed this.
Razer: (shocked) Let go of them quick!
But to late as wires trapped their hands.
Tech: She's booby-trapped them! My inventions, what has that ghastly woman done to my babies?
Razer: You definitely need to get out more!
Duck's weapon began to fire on the team as he was pushed back towards the wall.
Duck: I'm not doing it!
Mastermind and her pet was watching Duck's misfires and was enjoying it.
Mastermind: I'm not sure whose side the duck is on.
She and her pet were laughing at the misfortune.
One by one the Loonatics has escape out of inventions. Once the chaos was over, Tech looked at his devices and shook his head. All that hard work and his devices were used for malevolent reasons.
Tech: I should have seen this coming, I feel like such a pea brain.
Ace: You're no pea brain.
Razer: Ace is right. It happens to all of us. But it is time to take your balloon head girlfriend down.
A camera with her face appears.
Mastermind: I heard th-.
The sentence didn't finished because an annoyed raccoon blasted and destroyed the camera.
Razer: Nobody cares.
A second one appears.
Mastermind: Now that's not nice. (Smirks) Since we played with Tech toys, now we play with yours. (Laughing).
They were all confuse about what she said.
Razer: (looking at Silver) Any idea of she meant?
Before he could respond Lexi heard something while using her. Powers.
Lexi: Guys I hear something.
THUD
They heard a big heavy sound.
THUD
Duck: What was that?!
THUD
Ace: Looks like we're about to find out.
THUD
Silver made a noise that Razer understood.
THUD
Razer: What!
THUD
Rev: What did he say?
THUD
Razer: She wouldn't.
THUD
Slam: What?
THUD
Razer: Tech, do you remember those guns that we were testing?
Tech: Yes which i was meaning to ask why you wanted to test them?
THUD
Razer: Well I was testing them for a destructible machine I built.
THUD
All six: What did you built?!
Blaaaam
A door exploded which the gang gasped as they look at the machine.
(AN: The machine designs and looks are the same machine in the series MARVEL GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY season one episode three "One In a Million You ".)
Razer: Oblitobot!
Oblitobot fires a huge fire ball blast at them. They alll duck and cover. Duck smell something cooking and look behind to see his bottom is on fire.
Duck: WAAH!
He screams and begins running around as Oblitobot began to fire rapid fire on them.
Duck: (Puts the fire of bottom out.) Why would you build this!
Razer: (firing a couple of shots before taking cover.) I was bored!
Tech: And you said I need to go out.
Oblitobot got rockets ready.
Razer: Take cover.
It fired rockets and they dodged them. Tech use his powers to hold onto one it's legs, while Razer use the grappling hook to one in the back. Ace then slice one them as Rev spin around and around causing it head to spin. Slam gave a right tornado hook which cause it to fall. It was about to fire a fire ball blast but Duck threw a Power Orb at it cause it to be block up and explode. Ace, Lexi, and Razer fire at it with laser vision, brain blast, rocket launcher, and grenades. When the smoke clears the once Oblitobot has been completely destroyed. They sigh in relief and out of little breath.
Ace: That was a tuff battle. (Looks at Razer.) Does that thing have any weaknesses?
Razer: As the name goes it wasn't supposed to have any and lucky for us it wasn't complete and was just a prototype.
They were surprised that it wasn't and it was a prototype. Rev gave his usual talks wondering if the thing was full power. Tech leads them to a doorway.
Tech: We can get out of sight from the cameras. There's an elevator shaft behind this generator.
Walking their way past the generator, Tech pressed onto a button that was on the door and it opened. Just as they were about the enter inside, a steel door blocked their entrance. The alarm went off in the room and the generator increased in size.
Lexi: Hey guys! Miss Big Brain set us up for a big bang.
Slam spun towards the steel door in hopes to get through. Once his body contacted it, he was sent flying back and was surprised that he wasn't strong enough to even put a dent in it. Ace watched as the Tasmanian devil slid towards them and then he turned his attention to Tech who was busy typing away on the keyboard.
Ace: Okay Tech, time to put your wits to work.
Tech was typing quickly as he could.
Tech: I'm hacking into the security portal. But it's gonna take some time.
Duck: Well could you pretend to hurry! One more minute and you're looking at crispy fried duck!
Tech: I almost got it.
Mastermind: Almost doesn't count dog-face.
Razer and Ace gasped when he noticed the ground beginning to quake beneath their feet. That could only mean one thing.
Ace and Razer: Take cover!
The room exploded.
Commercial break at this point.
They jumped out of the way before they were blasted by the explosion. When the smoke cleared, the Loonatics held onto a rope and beneath them was Tech who caught the worst of the explosion.
Ace: Could you cut it any closer Tech?
Tech: Actually no.
He shook his head and regenerated himself.
Ace: Then we'd better get out of here before she figures out we're here.
Tech pointed to one of the open vents by the wall.
Tech: Through the vent. She can't monitor us in there.
Slam swung the rope towards the vent and everyone crawled inside. It was a decent size to fit all of them, yet cozy enough.
Tech: We've got to get to my E.M.P.
Duck: You don't have to spell it I know what an emp is. Uh, what's an emp?
Razer: The EMP is an Electro Magnetic Pulse. I know about E.M.P's because my device can fire it.
(AN: The device is from Chapter Three)
Tech: If we can get to it and activate it, it would temporarily knock out all electric current in the vicinity. Without power, she's, well, powerless.
Even Ace knew he wouldn't have been able to figure out just as quickly as Tech did. Now that they had a plan in mind, there was no moment to lose.
Ace: Lexi take Slam and Rev with you and follow this all the way up so you can activate the E.M.P. Duck, you come with Tech and me and we'll enter from the virtual trainer. She won't know what hit her.
Lexi: So where do we find the E.M.P and how do we activate it?
Tech: It's hidden right in plain sight. And it comes with simple instructions.
With those words being said, the groups took off in different directions.
Ace, Tech, Razer, and, Duck entered the room, they found themselves in deep trouble when they were attacked by the holographic ninjas, and when they get hit by the laser guns, it splits them in two.
Meanwhile Slam, Lexi, and Rev crawled through the vent and landed inside the lounge room. It felt good to finally be out of that cramped space. Lexi looked around the room and thought if she was an E.M.P., where would she be likely hiding?
Slam points at the pool table.
Slam: Try looking under the pool table.
Lexi: Chalk one up for Tech. The E.M.P. device is likely hiding there.
As the group made their ways towards the pool table, they halted in their tracks when a vacuum cleaner sprung up at them. It began to release dust towards the Loonatics as they ran away from the machine. Unbelievable, getting chased by home appliances. Lexi was able to get out of the way as she saw the rest of her team getting attacked by the appliances. Rev was chased by the vacuum, Slam was attacked by a couple of shuriken throwers coming out of a small box, and Lexi dodged a set of blades as the whirred towards her.
Meanwhile back to the four, they keep fighting the ninja's but they keep splitting up.
Razer: (annoyed) These things are like cockroaches. Take one down and more appears.
Duck: ( getting a power orb ready) Oh, yeah. Cool, isn't it? It means we're getting close to bonus level. HIYAH!
Razer: Duck this isn't a competition and besides if it is a competition.
He does a Dante gunslinger move on three ninja's.
(AN: That move is from the game Devil May Cry. Which I believe it's for 18 or up. That's my opinion.)
Razer: I'm winning.
Tech decided to end this once and for all.
Tech: Ok this has gone far enough. It's time to go head to head.
Ace: We'll cover you.
Tech escapes the training room and heads to the command room. Thus the chase began.
Tech: Come back Mallory!
Back with E.M.P. Team. Rev tried to outrun the vacuum which proved to be the same speed as he was.
Rev: I'm-all-for-cleaning-the-house-but-this-is-ridiculous!
Lexi pounced on a table and looked over at Rev.
Lexi: Lead that big sucker this way.
Rev: Oh-if-you-had-told-me-when-I-woke-up-this-morning-that-I-was-going-to-be-bait-for-a-runaway-vacuum-cleaner-I-would-have-said-you-were-just-plain-nuts!
He directed the vacuum over to where Lexi was. Lexi caught sight of the blades and she jumped it and gave it a kick towards the mouth of the vacuum. The bales flew towards the vacuum and blocked it mouth, causing the device to short circuit. Slam was still blocking the shurikens from the box. He was getting annoyed by it and decided to smash it.
Once the devices were destroyed, Lexi and Rev were able to get to the pool table. Lexi reached inside and pulled out the a device to read that instructions which were not as simple as Tech had stated.
Lexi: Simple my lucky foot.
Rev: I got this.
He began to explain the series of steps that activated the E.M.P. device.
Scene change to Tech entering his lab looking for Mastermind. Mastermind emerged from the shadows.
Mastermind: You're proving yourself to be more wily than I ever expected.
Tech: And you're just as twisted as I thought you were.
Mastermind: Not twisted, enlightened. But then, you were always jealous of my brain power.
Tech: It's not your intellect I have problems with, it's your swollen head!
Mastermind: You taught me everything I know! Remember!
She pulled out a laser pistol from behind her back and began firing blasts at Tech. Tech jumped out of the way in time and quickly constructed his own laser gun from various materials in his lab.
Tech: But not everything I know.
He returned fire and Mastermind dodged the blasts. She quickly grabbed a circuit board and placed it on a pile of scrap metal. With one touch, the metal scrap formed into a giant robot. Tech had his gun aimed.
Mastermind: Bet you didn't know I was gonna do that, did you dog breath? I got this idea from the raccoon's machine. It actually reminded me of the inventions of Prof. Shane.
Tech: (surprised) You know about Shane.
Mastermind: Oh yes, I was actually a big fan of him. As I heard you were also a fan of him as well.
He frowned after hearing that as he remembered of Razer told him and the gang of Shane did to him.
Tech: Yeah I've had. But after what he did to my friend Razer, I lost respect to him.
Mastermind: If you mean the raccoon then hate to break it to you but raccoons have always been bottom of the food chain like they should have.
That ticked him off because nobody say that to his friend. He fired at the robot but it deflected it was nothing. It grabs him and gave him a surge of electricity run through his body.
Scene change to Lexi, Rev, and Slam.
Rev: Step-89-load -Albert McFerrin's-programming-into- on-board-encryption-chip-uniborax. Step-100-Press-the-big-red-button!
Rev finally finished as Lexi pressed the red button on the hardware that appeared from the pool table. Once she did that, top of the pool table opened and the E.M.P. device floated in front of them.
Lexi: That's it game over!
The effects of the E.M.P. released the pulse throughout HQ, causing anything electronic to stop working. In turn, this stopped the stimulation room where Ace and Duck were trapped in fighting against those virtual ninjas.
Ace: Game over.
Duck: But. But. But I was so close!
A slow disappearing cybernetic ninja was about to attack Duck behind but was blasted and disappeared. Duck took a quick look at Razer who held his gun.
Razer: Sure you're would.
Silver nodded along on his shoulder.
Back with Tech, the robot suddenly shut down and disassembled. Tech hung in the air for a minute, before dropping to the ground and standing on the scrap of a once killer robot.
Tech: Game over.
The pen on Mastermind's shoulder shut down and lay motionless on the floor. Mastermind bent down and looked tenderly at her pen pal, then glared at Tech.
Mastermind: An electromagnetic pulse? But that's not fair, you mangy dog!
Tech: What's not fair is you insulting my friend, and turning my own inventions – my precious babies – against me. You crossed the line, fathead.
Mastermind tried to make a break for it, but he magnetized a rope as it wrapped securely around Mastermind.
Tech: And for the last time, I'm not a dog, I'm a coyote!
Mastermind: So sensitive.
He drags her away as as he stepped on the pen.
Mastermind: Pendroid! Mama wil be back! Don't worry! You'll see!
Tech: Yeah, in 20 years to life. Depending on good behavior.
Moments later, Duck was laying back on a small pool raft in a small lagoon, wearing swimwear (Razer is a white swim shirt, blue swim trunks, and wearing shades). The rest of his team were sitting in chairs, lying back, enjoying the sun, and listening to "O-O-H Child" by The Five Stairsteps.

A window open, a feline cat (AN: Does anyone know what walking and talking animals in this are?) wearing a suit like from Marvel's Spider-Man Black Cat with a mask enters in while holding a big and expensive diamond which you could tell she stole.

She toss the the diamond to a pile of them. She turned on the tv and heard about the Loonatics success.
?: Razer doing hero works. That's a surprise but what happen to his to two companions. And Ace, been a while. As much I want to catch up I got to prepared for my next heist of one of the big deal.
