Aruji-sama = It means Lord, Chief, and Master.
Banzai = Japanese's battle cry.
*Touken Danshi = AKA Sword Warriors, gods of swords created from ancient spirit and techniques that are given human form. They are the summons under Saniwa. (Touken Ranbu)
-Sword Types : Wakizashi, Uchigatana, Tachi, Ootachi, Yari, Nagitana, and Tsurugi. (Touken Ranbu)
*Sage = The power used by Saniwa to assist and summon new Touken Danshi (Touken Ranbu)
*Jikan sokōgun = AKA Time Retrograde Army and Historical Revisionists, antagonists and responsible of traveling back in time to alter historical events. (Touken Ranbu)br /
*Honmaru = Also known as Citadel, a Japanese-castle-like establishment where Saniwa and the Touken Danshi lives. (Touken Ranbu)
*Heroic Spirits = AKA Legendary Souls, are spirits of heroes who achieved great deeds in life, having become objects of worship after their deaths. (FATE)
*Servants = are Heroic Spirits that the Master of Chaldea commands. (FATE)
-Classes of Servants : Saber, Archer, Lancer, Rider, Assassins, Caster, Berserker, Ruler, Avenger, Moon Cancer, Alter Ego, Foreigner, Pretender and Shielder. (FATE)
*Majutsu = AKA Magecraft, is the artificial reenactment of Mystery, which is ordinarily possible only by inhuman beings. It is the ability to bring about what is possible through science with supernatural means. (FATE)
Chapter 9 : Meeting Conclusion
Hijikata gave a loud sigh before asking, "Hey, when will you start summoning those batch of Touken Danshi?"
"We can start by early morning." Murasaki answered him before turning to Konnosuke, "I will be preparing so you should too. I will wait for you at the Courtyard by that time."
"Thank you and you can count on me to be there on time." Konnosuke said with a nod.
"Are we going to attack tomorrow?" Izuminokami Kanesada questioned and Hijikata shook his head, "We have lots of men and weapons available for them… but the food for the expedition is still not enough… Master-"
"Don't worry, the food will be ready in next two days." Gudao answered Hijikata's about to question with confidence which made Hijikata grin, proud for his master's quick action about their shortage of food. "The time to attack is set."
Ushiwakamaru asked his master, "Then how about our strategy and who will accompany Master?"
With that specific question, all turned to their Master who was in deep in thought before making a decision. "In the day we will attack the Matsumoto Castle, we usually fight with six Servants for me to properly focus on assisting but this time, with Saniwa and Touken Danshi assisting us there will be a bit of changes."
As if taking his que, Saniwa turned to his Touken Danshi explained. "When we discussed about our ways of assisting as Masters, we found that our ways are almost identical, like he said that he could support six Heroic Spirits, so can I to six Touken Danshi. As such this time we plan to bring three extra members of Touken Danshi and Heroic Spirits, our backup members."
"Wait Aruji-sama, bringing three extra more, will you be pushing yourself to assist nine when six is your limit?" Hishiki Hasebe asked in worried tone, knowing well their Master's limit when comes to assisting them. Saniwa shook his head, "No Hasebe-kun. The plan we had decided is to have six Touken Danshi and Heroic Spirits focus on the main enemy, surely Jikan Sokōgun will get in our way as such their duty would be to deal with them while we focus on the main issue."
"The problem of this plan however is that we cannot assist the extra three." Gudao this time continue the explanation, "I had discussed this with Saniwa related to our experience in Inuyama Castle. Jikan Sokōgun continuously appeared no matter how much we kill them, making our progress not only hindered but pretty much badly hurt us too. Thanks to luck that we succeed but we can't depend on it this time. As such we came up with bringing three extra members to deal with them while the main team deal with the issue."
"I understand that concern Master but there's another way like asking the Touken Danshi to deal with them while we deal with the real issue, they are expert against the Jikan Sokōgun." Nobukatsu said while pointing to them.
Izuminokami Kanesada thought about it before agreeing, "After my spar with Hijikata-san I'm very convince that Heroic Spirits are actually stronger than us Touken Danshi and knowing that we will also dealing with them on the Matsumoto Castle, I can see the point of having us deal with them while you deal with another Heroic Spirit."
"That is true but for Aruji-sama to not choose that, is there a matter on this suggestion?" Hishiki Hasebe questioned towards Saniwa who turned to Gudao, "I think you should explain this one." Saniwa suggest.
"Okay." Gudao turned to Nobunaga and asked, "Nobu do you remember the enhancement that Raiko-san used in the final confrontation?"
"Yeah, it's far too irritating and pain in the ass! No matter how much power I put to my Noble Phantasm it wouldn't work, like she doesn't receive any damage at all." Nobunaga complained, clearly remembering that event. Gudao nodded then turned to Hijikata, "Hijikata-san, I already mention that because of luck that we are able to save Raiko-san and conquer the Inuyama Castle, how did that luck happen?"
Hijikata tilted his head with a frown, "You mean how I was so piss that I deliberately throw the nearest Jikan Sokōgun towards her and luckily hit her?"
"You did not just hit her, it's a critical hit." Gudao corrected then explained in serious tone, "At that time, I have no idea why everyone's attack, skill and noble phantasm doesn't work against the enhanced version of Raiko-san but when I remembered about Izumo-san's words about how Touken Danshi have a same presence as Jikan Sokōgun, that made me wonder if they could bypass that enhancement."
The explanation had made everyone's eyes widen in realization.
"Meaning to say, when they started using that enhancement, we will assist the Touken Danshi to do the deed for us?" Ushiwakamaru asked in astonishment.
"W-wait, can you first explain to us about that time? I'm at lost here." Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki could not help but demand.
That's how they started telling them about what happened when they attack the Inuyama Castle.
Inuyama Castle was once belonged to the Demons Army and the Heroic Spirit controlling that area was the Berserker Class Servant, Minamoto no Raiko and with her was Saber Class Servant, Watanabe no Tsuna. Gudao with his six Servants, Archer Oda Nobunaga, Berserker Hijikata Toshizo, Lancer Nagao Kagetora, Caster Izumo no Okuni, Berserker Mori Nagayoshi and Assassin Fuuma Kotaro, had charge towards the castle and fought against the two of them with the large number of Jikan Sokōgun. It was a hard battle, Jikan Sokōgun distracting them while the two would attack without hesitation and without care if they hit their own foot soldiers until it got to the point that Raiko used enhancement which caused a lot of attacks to deflect and not even Noble Phantasm work. Thanks to Hijikata's actions that it had provided them an opening to do an all-out attack until they reached victory and returned them back to their senses. Now, they fight alongside Gudao under the banner of Chaldea Army.
"Despite how we called it all-out attack, it still took a lot from us to reach victory." Nobunaga sigh, as if tired by just remembering that time.
"Unfortunately, Raiko-san have no memories of her involvement with the enemy's side so I really didn't reach any conclusion about that power." Ryouma said before turning to the group, "But if what Master's saying is true, our only chance of dealing with that enhancement are indeed the Touken Danshi."
Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki could not help but grin warily, "For some reason it's like we're given an important job."
"When Gudao told me about it, I'm not sure if it will work but if it does then we have no choice but to do it." Saniwa said to the three, "That's why from this day, we will need to get used to fighting against Heroic Spirits and what's better than being trained by them."
"Was that why you insist on having a spar with us?" Izuminokami Kanesada asked towards Hijikata who answered back, "Not at first but now that I got a good reason, I will definitely spar with you both seriously. Prepare yourselves."
Izuminokami Kanesada could not help but tremble in fear. In another room where Horikawa Kunihiro sleeps, he too tremble while sleeping for the reason unknown. Back to the meeting room, Gudao continue the explanation.
"Our strategy for dealing with the enemy's Servants is to have six of mine to focus on offense while six of Saniwa's will focus on assisting either us or the extra group. Once the enemy used the same enhancement like Raiko-san did, our role will reverse, we do the assisting while Saniwa's group will focus on offence." Gudao pointed the other castles, "As for the whole strategy, we need to do a lot of distraction against the Demons Army. I may look like I'm asking a lot but while we the main force focus on conquering the Matsumoto Castle, two groups will focus on conquering Kofu Castle and Toyama Castle at the same time. Nobu, Hijikata-san, Ushiwakamaru, Ryouma-san I need your opinion as experts, is this plan possible?"
The three are thoughtful as they stared the map, not only them but also the Touken Danshi. After a long moment, Izuminokami Kanesada gave his opinion.
"The plan doesn't look bad but do you have some people in mind on who will do the lead and who you will be on the main force?"
Gudao gladly answered, "For that I already decided the six main and the three extra team. For the main, those will be Hijikata-san, Okita, Alter, Nobu, Ushikawamaru and Raiko-san. For the extra team I'm thinking of having Ryouma-san, Izo-san and Muramasa. I'm sure everyone already realized this but my focus is to see if this system will work so I choose the powerhouse as the main team. For the once who will attack the two castles, in Kofu Castle I will deploy Kagetora, Kojiro, Benkei and Izumi while in Toyama Castle I will deploy Kotaro, Nagayoshi, Tsuna-san and Inshun. For the remaining members that I had not called, Murasaki-san, Nobukatsu, Chacha and Danzo-san will remain here to protect our base."
"I see, not bad Master." Nobunaga commented with glee. Hijikata nodded in agreement, "The main team is pretty much everyone who had experience in leading so to make sure that nothing will fall off on the other side, you will choose Nagao Kagetora and Watanabe no Tsuna to be the commander of those troops, correct?"
"Yes, that's the plan." Gudao nodded, Ryouma could not help but sweat as he asked. "Not that I complain but why am I in the extra team?"
"To give us insight for the things that I may have not notice. Being with us for this battle will provide you better opportunity to see it upon yourself." Gudao answered then followed by his explanation about the extra team, "Izo will be there to give you some space, if necessary, same with Muramasa but since he's actually more of a blacksmith than a fighter, I'm thinking if he's there he may be able to provide the Touken Danshi better assistance since they are originally sword."
Oryou grin as she floats around, "Don't worry Ryouma, Oryou-san will protect you better than that Izo. Not only that, Oryou-san's healing property will definitely help as well for the main force, right Master?"
"Yes." Gudao agreed. Ryouma sigh before nodding towards his master, "Very well Master, count on me."
"Thank you, Ryouma-san, Oryou-san."
"If that's the team you will bring then I too already made up my decision." Saniwa started as he eyed his Touken Danshi. "If the summoning of our other comrades turned success, the main team I will bring here are… Captain, Uchigatana Izuminokami Kanesada."
Izuminokami Kanesada gave a firm agreement, "Yes Aruji-sama!"
Saniwa continued, "Your team will consist of Uchigatana Yamatonokami Yasusada, Taichi Higekiri, Taichi Hizamaru, Tantou Yagen Toushirou, and Tantou Imanotsurugi." Saniwa turned to Hishikiri Hasebe, "For the extra three are you as Captain Heshikiri Hasebe."
Upon hearing his name, Heshikiri Hasebe gave a delight answer, "Thank you Aruji-sama."
"You will be with Uchigatana Kashuu Kiyomitsu and Wakizashi Horikawa Kunihiro." Saniwa finished before turning to the map, "For the rest, I'm thinking of sending Nagitana Iwatooshi, Tantou Gokotai, Taichi Azuki Nagamitsu and Taichi Sanchoumou as a Captain on Kofu Castle, while Uchigatana Souza Samonji, Tantou Fudou Yukimitsu, Taichi Tsurumaru Kuninaga and Taichi Shokudaikiri Mitsutada as a Captain on Toyama Castle. The remaining will also stay here to protect the base, those are Wakizashi Hizen Tadahiro, and Wakizashi Namazuo Toushirou."
"W-wait Aruji-sama what about me and Kikkou if he still agrees to come?" Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki questioned.
"About that… I'm actually thinking of bringing both of you as part of the Extra team." Saniwa answered him before turning to Gudao, "Although that would change the original plan but I'm willing to take this risk."
"That is your team so I have no say in that matter Saniwa." Gudao gave his word with a smile. Saniwa nod his thanks before turning to Heshikiri Hasebe and Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki in concern, "As already mentioned, I won't be able to assist your team unlike the main team so as much as possible make sure not to get yourselves injured, Hasebe as a captain I'm counting on you."
"Of course, Aruji-sama, please leave this to me." Heshikiri Hasebe answered in conviction. Out of wonder, Izuminokami Kanesada asked, "How about your team? Who will be your captain?"
Hijikata blinked in question before answering, "No one, it's the Master's duty to do the ordering."
"So, it's the master who does the commanding?" Konnosuke asked and Nobunaga grinned in pride as she nods while Nobukatsu voiced the answer, "As you know Heroic Spirits are heroes who had achieved great deeds in their lives as such instead of working together everyone may end up in conflict with each other due to different issue. To prevent that from happening, it would be better to have everyone in the same standing while being clear that it's the Master who is in command."
"I can see the logic there." Saniwa said as he turned to Gudao who nodded with worn expression, remembering some experience he had with divinities, devils and kings as a Master.
"Okay, now that our roles are set, lets discuss about the number of troops and the route we will take to conquer them." Nobunaga said with glee.
The meeting continued until late midnight so those who needs sleep immediately went to bed while those who does not sleep, mainly the Servants, started making preparation for their coming war and informing the rest of the Servants about it at the same time, sending message for the other Servants that were not present to be prepared as well.
