Sooner than Harry believed it was time for the weighing of the wands. A ceremony to make sure no one cheated
He noticed a few Slytheryn's were trying to wear potter stick badges but it didn't seem to have caught on. However Malfoy and his cronies kept wearing them.
Harry was excused from potions for the part of the Triwizard tournament. as Harry stood up Ron grabbed his arm "I'll take notes for you mate."
Harry nodded and left with Colin. To the ceremony.
Harry found Cedric and stood next to him
"Any idea as to what we're in for?" He asked
Cedric shook his head "no unfortunately." He said
Harry nodded and looked around and noticed a bright quill of Rita Skeeter. Harry ducked his head down
Cedric looked at him "what's up?" He asked
"That bright green Quill it's Rita Skeeter, my godfather warned me about her." Harry said
Suddenly the tent opened and Ollivander and the other judges stepped in
"We are ready for the weighing of the wands." Barty crouch announced.
Ollivander steps in and weighs each wand individually commenting on each and states they are passable.
Harry was turning around to make it back to class when Rita skeeter blinded him by a flash
"Oh how stunning you are Mr. Potter, We must get an interview." She said
Harry tried to deny and the other champions tried to intervene but Rita was insistent.
However he was saved by Devon who grabbed Rita and pulled Harry away
"He's not interested in your interview Miss walk away." He said
Rita scoffed "how rude boy I'm with the daily prophet." She said
"And I could give a rat's ass! If Mr. Potter's godfather gets word of your illegal interview. You can be sure he will give your office a personal visit." Devon said as he lead Harry away. Who was confused as He pushed Harry out of the tent
"Don't worry Sirius gives his regards." Devon said
Once they were away Harry asked how he was allowed in the champions tent which Devon explained
"Sirius allowed me by giving this pass to me to oversee you. He said he would be at all the tasks but he couldn't make the weighing of the wands so he sent me instead." Devon said
Harry nodded and thanked Devon as they headed off back to classes.
That weekend Harry gives the public announcement that the meeting will be canceled due to the first task and for everyone to cheer Cedric to win for Hogwarts.
At Hogsmead Harry is under the invisibility cloak but is spotted by Moody and tells Hagrid who asks Harry yo join him in the hut at midnight.
Harry agrees as he leaves
Thinking about what hagrid wanted he wasn't watching where he was going and bumped into Ginny knocking her down
"Oh shoot!" Ginny hissed
"Sorry love I wasn't watching where I was going." Harry said
"Harry?" Ginny asked
Harry took the cloak off his head as Ginny hugged him
"Oh Harry why are you hiding like this? You never told me you were coming here that's why I came alone…oh wait…all the bad press right?" Ginny asked
Harry nodded "yea the DA is helping but its still there." He said
Ginny nodded "alright let's find a place to sit and we can talk alone." Ginny said
Ginny and Harry talk and Ginny makes Harry feel better as he is ready for the first task.
That night Harry finds Hagrid and reveals the dragons to Harry who is stunned at the fact the first task is dragons. He notices Fleur and Victor were watching from the trees. Only Cedric wasn't there.
Harry sighed when he felt a vibration on the side table Confused Harry opened the drawer to pull out the mirror shard
"Hello?" He asked
Suddenly Sirius face filled the Mirror
"Ah Harry finally you checked the mirror!" He said
Harry rubbed the back of his head "sorry you didn't tell me what it could do." He said
Sirius sighed "Ah a prank wasted I had been calling you for a while. Listen I need to talk to you. Albus talked to me about your name coming out of the goblet of fire. I don't believe this to get a fluke. There have been some issues going on at the ministry recently. One of the members of the department of game and sports had been missing in Romania," he said
"Where you chaised after Wormtail?" Harry asked
Sirius nodded "yeah and I lost sight of him. I have a feeling something is happening down there but I was brought back before I could follow up on it." Sirius said
"There's more." Harry said
"I know there's a lot to say, listen, be careful at the tournament, understand that I love you and I'll be cheering you on. I'll see you tomorrow, pup." Sirius said after explaining everything with Karkaroff and Moody being attacked.
Harry sat on the bed shocked this was so much at once. Finally after a while he fell asleep.
the next day before the task Harry told Cedric the first task is dragons who thanks Harry.
As Harry was walking back Alistor moody grabbed him and gave him a hint for the task. "Listen Potter. Play to your strengths don't fight a dragon one on one use what you have against it."
Harry nodded and left to get his stuff for the task
And then he had to go to the tent to wait for the task to begin.
Finally the task begins as Ludo bagmen enters and tells them they are to collect the golden egg from the dragon and each one draws a dragon starting with Fleur who got a Common Welsh Green dragon
Next was Victor who had a Chinese Fireball.
Cedric had a Swedish Short-stout.
And Harry had the hardest and worst one in the Hungarian Horntail.
Harry sat down and took a deep breath and went though his meditation technique's Cedric joined him.
Fleur looked over at Harry
"What are you doing?" She asked Harry?
"Meditating it helps calm you down and increase the flow of your magick for a short time." Harry said
" 'nd both of you know how to do this?" Victor asked
Cedric nodded "Harry taught me."
Fleur looked at Victor "I've heard that an illegal technique from old pagan tribes." She said
Harry nodded "it is but it works." He said
Victor nodded "Durmstrang doesn't care about what's illegal or not. That's why I chose to go there. We have an entire course on Pagan magick. And how to use it effectively." Victor said
Harry nodded his meditation done he looked to Cedric to see he finished too
"You should talk to my friend devon he's an Druid and I think you could learn a lot from him
Victor nodded "I think I will." He said
Suddenly the voice of the announcer was heard and it was Victors turn to face his dragon "good luck." He said as he walked off
The noises of the crowd were something to behold and they unnerved Harry however he was able to ground himself with his meditation.
Eventually everyone else had gone leaving Harry alone to focus on how he was going to complete the task.
Finally his name got called and Harry made his way to the tournament stage.
Harry sighed and stood up
And headed out
Inside the field was a Rocky Mountainous terrains.
Harry looked around and noticed that the golden egg laid in the center of a nest
Harry approached hoping to get this over quickly
When suddenly the horntail landed before Harry and roared
'Shit!' Harry cursed he didn't expect the dragon to be hiding above.
The dragon took a deep influx of air about to do a breath attack as the announcer said as such but Harry didn't care his magick was focused
He drew a large boulder towards him and blocked the breath attack which stunned the crowd Harry looked up to see the other side of the stone near molten and glowing red hot.
The dragon took a breath again as Harry ducked down
Another large plume of fire.
Harry ducked down until he saw a red crack coming from the boulder next to Harry's face.
Harry quickly flicked his wand out and cast a spell to distract the dragon.
The dragon stopped and turned thinking something was trying to get around behind him.
Harry used this time to change rocks however he knocked over a pile of stones making the dragon turn back around
'Fuck!' He hissed
'Ginny?' Harry asked in his mind
'Yes love…' Ginny thought
'I love you…' he thought back
"Accio firebolt!" He snapped
The dragon roared and flew Harry waited to hear the souls of his broom but all he could hear was rumbling.
Harry waiting and upon shifting to get ready for his broom he noticed he kicked a chain
Wait chain?
He opened his eyes and noticed the Hungarian Horntail was right above him.
'Aw fuck' he said
The dragon roared
Harry watched down the maw as the bright red climbed its throat.
Ginny stood up and screamed "HARRY!"
Dumbledore also stood up about to call off the dragon
However Harry bolted as the dragon blasted fire from its maw where Harry was once standing Harry looked up to his firebolt in the air but was that a good idea now with the dragon loose?
Harry looked back to see the dragon chasing after him but also smashing the stands
Harry steeled himself if that dragon stayed in there it would be a danger to everyone.
He looked up and saw the broom flying towards him and he jumped for it.
The dragon roared as Harry flew around the dragon and grabbed the golden egg.
Everyone stood up and cheered
As the dragon roared and launched a fireball at the wall where his chains were and the metal broke
The dragon was free.
Harry looked to see the dragon stomping over to him
He looked back to see the chain had Been snapped, as Harry flew away. The dragon flew after him hellbent on getting its egg back.
Harry pushed his firebolt as far as he ever had in his life. Yet he still felt it wasn't fast enough! He looked back and saw the dragons snout brushing the bridles of his broom.
'Fuck! fuck! fuck!' Harry said as he pushed his broom harder gaining distance from the dragon
On the ground the audience was in awe as the ministry officials were panicking. Sirius gathered a few aurora who were technically off duty to guard Minister Fudge to prepare and get ready to stun the dragon once it came down close enough to stun it.
Charlie and the other dragon tamers were in a panic they had no idea as to why the dragon went berserk. The others never did but this one was just insane.
Back in the air Harry looked back to see he was gaining distance from the dragon but he was charging up a breath attack
The dragon roared and launched the fire at Harry
To dodge it he hopped off his broom and went into a fall the dragon following after him
The crowd panicked thinking he had been hit
The dragon chased after him as they got closer and closer
Harry focused on the ground he have about a five second window to get this right too soon and the dragon will pull up and miss the ground and won't be fooled by the trick again. Too late and he will hit the ground and still be in danger from the dragon
The ground was getting closer now he could no longer see the stands where he began he looked for an open area perfect for this.
'Now love!' Ginny's voice screamed
Harry didn't hesitate trusting her gut he pulled up on the broom and felt his feet drag across the ground
BOOM! The large lizard slammed into the ground headfirst and dragged across the ground. Not able to get up
The crowd cheered as Harry flew back over the stands and into the champion tent.
Harry hopped off his broom as the other three champion's looked at him in awe.
Cedric grabbed his shoulder "that was amazing Harry!" He said
Victor approched "da, I don't think I could've done anything that good." He said
Finally the grading of the champion's and Harry and Victor were tied for first. And that the next task would occur on February 24th. And said the egg would give a major hint to help
As everyone left Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, and Devon headed back to the dorm.
At the door everyone cheered and wanted Harry to open the egg.
Harry finally relented and opened the egg. And a loud uncontrollable screech was heard which made Harry shut the egg.
Soon after that everyone went to bed and the next few days Hermione drove them mad by being them to the the kitchen to talk about elf rights. Devon joined them. And helps those he can change back the elves that can into what they were from before.
And once they got there freedom and power back many elves vanished but some did choose to say however there was one who for some reason was almost entirely an ancient elf from before. Being tall and majestic.
He was so beautiful that Harry, Ron and hermione had to bow in his presence.
His name was Thiliarîn. He was the old king of the Elves. Giving credence to Devon's hypothesis that the ancient elves from before had been wiped out and sold to become the house elves of today.
Hermione was horrified at the prospect of what the ancient wizards have done.
Thiliarîn thanked Devon for breaking the spell which corrupted his mind he tried to speak to the others elves there to try to get them to follow there king back. But after talking to the elves he tells Hermione to not bother. The only way her to actually help them is to learn Devon's spell and try to find those who can change them back; he vanished back to his old lands.
As they left the kitchens. Devon and Hermione were talking about the elves' rights and freedom. As Harry and Ron looked at each other.
The next few days were standard classes when Professor McGonigall gives the bomb drop of the Yule ball.
Harry mentally linked to Ginny and asked her to be his date.
However she turned him down by saying
'Either you show me your love in front of the whole school or not at all.' Ginny said teasingly
Harry rolled his eyes 'yes dear'
McGonigall asked Ron to step forward to learn how to dance.
Hermione leaned over to Harry "are you asking Ginny?" She asked
Harry looked at her and shrugged "I tried but she wants me to ask her in person." He said
Hermione grinned "so what are you going to do?" She asked
Harry smiled "give her what she wants."
Hermione giggled before looking away wistfully
Harry sighed 'oh dear I hope this doesn't blow up in there face.' He thought
'If it does it better not be at the ball he will not ruin my night you hear me Potter?' Ginny thought
'If Ron ruins Our Night Ms Potter you'll have to wait in line but I'll give you the remains of your brother.' Harry said
Finally Ron was free as they left the class and Harry met Ginny at the Great hall.
Harry grabbed a few sticks from the table and transfigured them into Ginny's favorite flowers with just a flick making McGonigall gasp
"Ginny?" Harry asked
Ginny turned around as Harry Presented her the flowers
"Would you honor me by going out with me to the dance?" He asked
Ginny screamed and threw herself at Harry "of course! Of course!" She said
After the proposal Harry noticed Other people were talking and were planning the same thing. The dinner was sweet and Ron had talked to hermione about going to the ball and she said yes
Harry and Ginny sighed in relief at the outcome of the proposal.
Now they just had to survive the period till the ball.
One week later
Harry woke up to a scream in his head which jolted him from his sleep and made him scream causing a domino effect waking everyone up in the dorm
"Argh bloody hell Harry what are you screaming about?"
"Ahhh stop!" Harry yelled
"Harry!" Seamus snapped making Harry look up and around. He answered groggy "s-sorry guys go back to sleep…g-Ginny scream in my head in panicked I guess I just reacted." He said
Ron sighed "well at least it's just girl stuff." Ron said as he fell down and snored
Harry shook his head "I'll head downstairs just in case something happens again." Harry said as he headed out the door.
'Ginny what's wrong?' Harry asked
'ITS TERRIBLE! ITS HORRIBLE! OH GODS WHAT AM I TO DO?!' Ginny yelled
'GINNY WHATS HAPPENING?' Harry snapped
Ginny froze
'Oh shit…um hey Harry…'
'Hello dear.' Harry said
'D…did you hear me?' Ginny asked
'Your woke me up love…yes I heard you now what's wrong.' Harry asked
After a full explanation of what was happening which was the fact the dress Ginny got at Diagon alley from the end of the summer no longer fit her. Harry groaned
'Ginny the hall is a while away it's November we have until December.'
'But what if the dress doesn't fit?" Ginny asked
Gary sighed 'look we can go to Hogsmead and we can get you a new dress there's a trip the day of the ball weekend so it works ok?" Harry asked
Ginny fortunately accepted. That and they began to plan their Hogsmead weekend.
The day they went to Hogsmeade Harry and Ginny bought a new dress for her. What suprised Harry was how packed the store was with other students. Who had the same idea or the fact that they had the same issue as Harry and Ginny.
Ginny entered the store and was shocked to see Hermione looking at several dresses.
" oh hi Ginny! Hermione said
"Um… hi what are you doing here?" She asked
"Oh you know last minute shopping, what do you think best fit with this dress?" She asked
Ginny looked at her dumbfounded "what's wrong with your old dress?" She asked
Hermione sighed "well it doesn't fit Ron's hair and his own dress as well…" she said however Ginny knew it was an excuse "Hermione." She said
The girl sighed "I just…ugh I just want him to notice me
Ginny rolled her eyes "Hermione, Ron thinks your drop dead gorgeous. Get over yourself." Ginny said
Hermione sighed "oh your right…this one!" She said as she ran over and grabbed a completely new dress Ginny looked shocked "that's not what I meant?!" Hermione didn't hear her however.
"Hey anything wrong?" Harry asked
Ginny sighed "Hermione that's who." She said
Harry sighed "well it's Hermione what do you want?"
Ginny sighed "I just want her happy."
Harry sighed "if you want that, you're just proving her point more love."
Ginny sighed "yeah I know."
Harry and Ginny left and headed back to the dorm to get ready for the dance.
The time of the dance came quickly and Harry waited at the bottom of the stairs for Ginny as did the other dates.
Ginny came down the stairs hooked around Harry's arm and went off to the ballroom.
It was the happiest day of Harry's life.
As they were dancing on the dance floor Cedric and Cho came up to them smoothly.
"Hey Harry take the egg with you the next time you take a bath." He said as he left leaving Harry and Ginny confused but sorted that information out for later.
After the dance Harry and Ginny preformed the Yule ritual and went to bed.
That week Harry discovered the secret of the egg and what the next task would be. As well as the idea of Barty Crouch sneaking around Snaps office. But tells Devon instead of Moody. Devon tells Harry he should consider being an Aurora. Devon stood up and gripped his shoulder "as for the second task Harry. I don't think you have to worry about it." He said as he went up to bed Harry following soon after.
Harry laid in bed that night thinking about what happened and what to expect for the next task
'Who is the person I desire most…' Harry asked himself.
'Wait hang on Ginny?' Harry asked in the mental link.
There was no response…
Harry sighed perhaps she was just tired.
The next day Harry woke up the day of the second trial and found Devon waiting for him.
Harry looked over his shoulder anxiously "Um hey…have you seen Ginny?" He asked
Devon looked up and suddenly got extremely worried "Ginny's probably just went down to get breakfast Harry. Shall we go and join her.
Harry took a deep breath and nodded "y-yeah let's go…" he said
As the two left devon looked back concerns Harry was to much on edge. And he felt a trace of something not right on him.
Wait
Devon turned around again and gasped
The bond…was gone
Devon froze. 'The task…'
'Shit!'
Harry looked around scanning the Gryffindor table and deflated. Devon ran up to him "She's not here." He said
Devon gripped his shoulder to get Harry's attention off missing ginny.
"Look, it's fine. She might just be sleeping in. So she can cheer on the loudest for the second task.
"The task…THE TASK!" Harry roared and flung Harry back
"SHE WAS TAKEN FOR THE TASK!" He roared
Devon raised his hand and castes a shield around Harry the souls bond created echoes of Harry's as he pounded on the shield
"Listen to me Harry yelling like this isn't going to save your beloved!" He yelled
"I need her!" Harry yelled
At the end of the room the teachers stood up shocked
Harry realizing he had All the students eyes on him looked at Devon. "P-please." He said
Devon nodded "I will do my best." He said as he waved his hand and Harry fell to the floor as the shield collapsed
Devon picked up Harry and carried his bridal style he glaired at Dumbledore
"You have no one to blame but yourself for this incident." I will keep Mr Potter under control for the time before the second task. But once it occurs, your own. And I have no idea what his magic will do in response to what you have done." Devon said as he strode out of the great hall.
Ron and Hermione who has watched the entire thing were shocked and stunned as they got up to be with Devon to watch over Harry.
Cedric also followed but no one else did.
Hermione and Ron looked to Cedric with a bit of shock
"What are you doing here?" Ron asked
Hermione looked behind her "I hope no one else is following."
Cedric shook his head "they aren't. They know Harry wouldn't like it. I just want you to know that if there is anything I can do to help I will Harry deserves it." He said
Hermione and Ron looked at each other almost judging Cedric and asking them mental questions
After a bit hermione looked at Cedric
"Can we trust you?" She said
Cedric nodded "I'm a Hufflepuff. We are nothing but loyal." He said
"Then follow us and no matter what we say this conversation never happened." Hermione hissed as she stormed off Ron followed behind her at a distance as did Cedric.
Hermione got up to te Gryffindor common room entrance and waved her hand quickly
The fat lady nodded and opened
Ron looked impressed "blimey when did you learn to do that?" He asked
Hermione looked back at him "last night. It's not perfected yet however once it is, I'll teach you." She said
"Is it for just Gryffindor or?" Ron asked as they stepped in.
"So long as you know the password it can be used for anyone." Hermione said
Ron looked impressed so did Cedric
Hermione sat down Ron followed next to her
Cedric remained standing until Hermione gestured to the seat across from her. He sat down
Hermione leaned forward and asked him "are you ready?"
Cedric nodded
Hermione sighed "Harry and Ginny have a soul bond."
Cedric leaned back in shock "that explains his reaction." He said
Ron nodded "yeah it does."
Hermione looked at Cedric "you understand why we are keeping this close to the chest." She said
Cedric nodded
"No one not even other members of the cram club can know." Ron said
Hermione nodded "otherwise you're immediately kicked out." Ron and Cedric turned to Hermione shocked they expected a punishment yes but not one that harsh.
Cedric sighed "it might be a bit too late he's most likely about to reveal himself. In this task." He said
Hermione and Ron looked at each other worried
"He's right." A voice said as the three turned to reveal Devon
"To be honest it's kinda a surprise that the soul bond has been hidden for so long as it is." We're running on borrowed time. As of now Harry is going to be a target. We need to make sure that he's ready to fight whatever he must." Devon said
Cedric nodded "well the Defense Association stands with him." He said
Hermione nodded and looked to Devon who also nodded
"For now all we can do is root for Harry." Devon said
Cedric nodded "ok and if I happen to get there before Harry I will save Ginny for him." He said
Devon nodded "thank you Cedric." He paused "Excuse me, I need to head upstairs." He said as he left.
Cedric left the common room soon after as Hermione and Ron waited for the second task.
At 9:30 everyone was taken out to the black lake to watch the event. Each of the schools has there own starting point. In the middle of the lake.
Harry was looking around worried. He had been so sorry about Ginny he didn't even figure out a way for him to breath underwater. how was he going to save Ginny now.
Just when he thought all hope was lost Devon smacked Harry on the sholder hard making him turn around as Devon clapped his hand as Harry looked to see a pile of what looked to see soggy seaweed
"From Neville, use it for the task."
Harry looked over Devon's shoulder to see Neville trying to be as small as possible.
Harry gave him a great big smile which made Neville perk up and smile back.
Albus Dumbledore stepped forward and explained the task to the competitors.
Once the signal was blown Harry stuffed his mouth with the seaweed and after a minute promptly collapsed onto the wood
It was so loud that Albus Dumbledore turned around as did Cedric. To look at what the noise was.
Albus and Cedric ran over "what happened?!" He asked not aware that his voice was still amplified which caused everyone to grab there ears.
Seeing the response Albus cut off the spell and asked normally "well what happened?!"
Harry was gasping for air
Cedric looked at Harry trying to find a way to help him
"He's got something in his throat!" He said
"It…it's Gillyweed!" Neville said
Everyone turned to Neville
"Gillyweed?" Albus asked to make sure as he approached The boy to ask him
Cedric took the chance and have faith in Neville and grabbed Harry and flung him and himself into the water
Hearing the splash Albus stopped walking towards Neville and back to the waters edge.
It was dead quiet for 3 minutes
And then suddenly Harry jumped out of the water.
Everyone cheered as every smacked Neville's back in good cheer.
Alastor moody pumped his fist before he shook his head and took a swig of his flask after checking his hand.
Cedric and Harry dived down together "I'm glad you could make it Harry." He said
Harry nodded "yeah I'm just glad this worked I was so worried about Ginny I hadn't even thought of…" Harry paused
Cedric nodded "it's ok I'm in the know. And i'm pretty sure everyone else in the club knows too. But don't worry we'll stand by you." He said
Harry nodded "thanks Cedric." He said
Cedric nodded "I think we're coming up on the merpeople settlement. Be ready." He said
Harry nodded "scan for the hostages." Harry said
Cedric looked at Harry. As he nodded
Cedric smiled and swam off after a while he waved Harry over
As he arrived Harry noticed the hostages chained up and anchored down
Harry saw the long Ginger hair waving in the water
"Ginny." Harry said as he started forward but Cedric stopped him
"Wait look." He said
As Harry scanned he realized the mermish had posted guards around them.
"They will most likely attack once we get close." Cedric said
"Stun them first free the hostages and then go before they awaken." Harry said
Cedric nodded "carefully spells are slower underwater than in air unless it's a spell designed for water." He said
Harry nodded "thanks Cedric. Together?" He asked
"I see Cho on the right side and Ginny is left. Split and hit them together?" He asked
Harry nodded
Cedric nodded "good luck Harry."
"You two." He said
At the exact same time both boys swam towards the hostages and fired a stun spell at the guards knocking them out
Harry and Cedric reached there hostages at the same time and Harry noticed that there were two girls Harry didn't recognize. One looked like a younger version of Flure and the other well Harry didn't want to assume but it looked like Victor Krum's girlfriend.
Harry turned back towards Ginny and with a wave of his wand cut Ginny free.
He untangled Ginny and held onto her tightly and looked to Cedric who was having trouble freeing Cho.
Harry waved his wand and helped Cedric free Cho as the two swam off
Harry however was swarmed by merpeople as he had tried to take an extra hostage and therefore his own was forfeited
Harry felt the merpeople try to grab Ginny but he turned on Them
"Don't you touch her!" He said
One of the merpeople swam forward and explained the situation Harry snarled
"DON'T. TOUCH. MY. WIFE!" Harry snarled
The merpeople lunged not going to give up
Harry snapped and his soul exploded outwards
The merpeople seeing how volition Harry was at the meet attempt to take Ginny away from them fled in fear. They had learned their lesson.
Harry broke the surface and sureved the situation and after Ginny was safe in Hermione and Ron's arms he dive back down
'Harry what are you doing?!' Ginny yelled in his mind
'Ginny oh god how I missed you.' He said mentally
'I know your wild emotions hit me like a freight train once I regained consciousness. I um might have revealed the soul bond accidentally.' Ginny said meekly
Harry smiled mentally 'it's ok we will deal with it. To be honest I was getting kinda tired of hiding it.'
Ginny laughed 'I know love I was to.'
'Then you know why I need to do this.' Harry said
Ginny nodded 'I do…just be safe.'
Harry broke the connection and swam to Fleur's sister and after a bit of a tuffle Harry freed her and came up to the surface. He noticed the roof of Hogwarts Students had been blown off.
After Harry surfaced Albus began announcing the scores. Awarding Harry first place. For saving two hostages. At the end Dumbledore told them of when the last Task would occur. And everyone went inside.
The weeks following went very fast for Harry. As Mr couch shows up after being sick for some time rambling about you-know-who and doing something bad. and before Harry could return with Professor Dumbledore, Mr Crouch was gone and Krum was stunned and Alastor moody was standing over him. Krum had gone out to ask Harry about perhaps flying against him some time for fun as his flying skills during the first task had impressed him.
Moody turned around "I'm sorry Albus I don't know who did it all I found was this snake here." He said as he revealed the snake in his arms
Albus sighed and banished the snake before heading back inside.
Harry leads to talk to Dumbledore that night about a vision he had of Voldemort. He told Devon about this and he said he should bring it to Dumbledore.
When he was waiting outside the room Harry overheard several topics including that Fudge didn't believe a word about what Mr couch was saying passing off as the ramblings of a madman and a giant plot.
Dumbledore kicks them out and Harry talks to Dumbledore about his scar and Dumbledore shows Harry the pensive.
Harry leaves and prepares for the third task.
The day of the third task the Quidditch field was completely changed as a giant maze appeared in the middle of the field and the reason why the Quidditch season was canceled.
The time of the task the champions make it to the field and
Harry and Cedric being tied for first we're the first to be sent in. However moody holds Cedric back to give Harry a lead
Harry runs off and dodged several monsters in the maze. Before he heard Fluer Scream. Harry rounded a corner to see Krum standing over fluer Harry stunned him making him fall before sending up a flare as he ran down the other way
At the end of it he froze as a sphinx laid across the path. He could see the cup just past him if only he could sneak past.
As Harry looked it seems the Sphinx was asleep if he was careful he might be able to sneak around
As he did so however. The sphinx woke up and stretched his wings. And gave Harry an ultimatum.
Answer the riddle or be eaten.
Harry accepts.
"Then hear my riddle for I will only ask this once."
"What walks on four feet in the morning, two in the afternoon. And three in the evening?"
Harry took thought for a bit before answering
"Human."
The sphinx nodded and allowed Harry to pass.
Harry reached the center of the maze the same time Cedric did
After a bit of time Harry and Cedric chose to grab the cup together and they both vanished
Outside of the maze Ginny panicked feeling Harry's bond slip at a distance.
Harry and Cedric fell on the ground in a grave yard
"Oh!" Cedric cried
Harry stood up "Cedric are you alright?" Harry asked
"Y-yeah I'm ok." He said as Harry helped him up
"Where are we?" Cedric asked
"I don't know…find the cup!" Harry said
Cedric nodded and ran off.
Harry looked at where Cedric was to see a gravestone with the name of Tom Riddle carved on it.
Harry grit his teeth as he felt immense pain in his scar. Nearly flooring him he looked up in time to see Peter Pettigrew wass as walking forward. Holding something
"N-no no." Harry said
"Hold him!" A voice said Peter flicked the wand in his hand and Harry was sent flying slamming into the gravestone as the caldron in the middle has a light burn under it.
At the Cup Cedric smiled at it as he found it and relized it was a portkey.
He was about to call to Harry when he heard him scream in pain.
Cedric stood up and held his wand at the ready, ready for combat at a moment's notice. He slowly made his way back to Harry taking a different way to come up by surprise whoever it was.
He got to the caldron and saw Peter Pettigrew standing over the caldron and Cedric hid 'shit! Why is he here?' As he scraped across the stone
Peter looked up wondering about the noise was when the voice spoke up again
"My body…work on my body Wormtail!"
Peter walked over to the pot and checked on the liquid inside. As he unwrapped the bundle from his arms and dropped in mass of flesh
Harry watched as Peter levitated a bone from nearby
"Bone…from the father…unwillingly given…shall erect your son." Peter said as the bone dropped into the pot
Harry struggled as he did he looked over to see Cedric watching the ritual in awe and horror.
Harry and Cedric made eye contact and Harry tried to wave him away by Cedric wouldn't budge.
Harry looked back onto Wormtail as he did the next part
"Flesh of a servant…willingly sacrificed." He said as he cut off his own hand.
Wormtail then walked towards Harry and
"Blood of the enemy…forcefully taken…the dark lord…shall rise again."
Harry screamed as the blood was taken from him and the entire caldron was set alight, Wormtail ran to the distance to evade the flames.
And from the cauldron a pale hand gripped the sides and a figure pulled himself out. And kept going and going, before a boney, and robeless Voldemort stood before them
Wormtail fell to his knees before Voldemort holding several robes in his arms
"Robe me Wormtail!" Voldemort said
"Y-yes my master," Wormtail said sad he draped the robes over Voldemort he stretched and addressed his servant
"My wand…" He said almost dismissively,
Wormtail gave it to Voldemort who turned it in his hand,
"Now…Wormtail, give me your arm." He said
Wormtail gasped and bowed "t-thank you master." As he held up his stub of a hand
"The other arm!" He hissed
Wormtail raised his other arm as Voldemort pressed the wand to the dark mark on his arm
Harry and Cedric looked at the sky and noticed the dark mark floating above
"Oh…shit…" Cedric gasped making Wormtail notice Cedric
Voldemort cut him off, "ignore the spare wormtail, he is unimportant, you can have him after once we are done." He said
Several pops were heard as Harry and Cedric looked over to see several death eaters arrive. By apparition,
"Welcome my friends. Thirteen years it's been, and yet you stand before me as if it were only yesterday." Voldemort said to the death eaters that arrived with him which Harry only counted as five,
Cedric looked scaired and completely out of his dept as he looked to Harry for guidance, he looked at Cedric and motioned him to move towards the cup.
Reluctantly Cedric complied,
"I confess myself...Disappointed." He said
"Not one of you tried to find me. CRABB!" Voldemort snapped as his hand screeched out and vanished the Death eater mask off his face as he fell down as of struck,
"Micmare, Goyle!" Voldemort said as he revealed every one of his followers,
"Not even you…Lucius"
Lucius fell down face revealed as he spoke, to Voldemort. "I assure you, if I had detected even a sign, even whispers of your whereabouts." He said
"There were more than signs my slippery friend, and even more than whispers," Voldemort snapped.
"I assure you my lord I have never renounced the old ways." Lucius said as he took off the pointed hood to reveal the long blond hair of Malfoy,
"The face I've been obliged to take since your abstinence, that… was my true mask."
Wormtail walked forward raising his hand "I returned."
Voldemort glided over to Wormtail amd leaned in towards him making the rat bow
"Out of fear! not loyalty." Wormtail didn't correct him.
"Still you've proven yourself useful these past few months, Wormtail." As he waved his wand and gave Wormtail a new silver hand. As Wormtail bowed "thank you,"
Voldemort looked up and saw Harry
"Oh Harry! I almost didn't see you there for a second, standing there on the bones of my father, I'd almost introduce you but word has it your almost as famous as me." Voldemort turned to his assembled Death eaters. "The boy who lived. How your legend has been fed on by lies, shall I tell you what happened that night thirteen years ago? Shall I divulge, how I truly lost my powers?" He asked as he walked away
Before he continued
"It was love, you see when dear Lilly Potter gave her life for her only son she provided the ultimate protection. I couldn't touch you." He said shaking his head as she stepped forward "it was old magic, something I should've foreseen."
Harry gasped feeling his pain come down at last as Voldemort rambled again
"But no matter, no matter things have changed." He said as he glided before harry "I can touch you!" He said as he pressed a finger to Harry's forehead
Harry screamed in pain as Voldemort laughed gleefully,
"Arghhh!"
Suddenly Harry snapped his eyes open and Voldemort was sent back by a bright flash as he landed ungracefully on the ground, no one came to his aid,
Harry gasped and coughed
'HARRY!?' A voice screamed in his mind
'Ginny, oh gods your finally here!?' He said in his mind calming down
'What happened!?' Ginny asked
'No time get Dumbledore tell him he's back Voldemort is back, Go I'm counting on you!'
'But Harry wait-.' Ginny was cut off as Harry severed the connection.
Harry grit his teeth and hunched forward the idea of himself physically cutting the connection to Ginny hurt him but it was something he had to do, he loved her too much to share his fate should he die here,
Voldemort stood up shocked
"What is it with you Potters and surprisingly me it is rather annoying," he said his grin he had before gone,
"Pick up your wand Potter!" He said as he stood up and folded his robes straight as Harry fell off the statue on all fours,
"I SAID PICK UP YOUR WAND! UNLESS YOU WANNA DIE LIKE A DOG!" Voldemort yelled.
"Enough!" Cedric yelled as he ran forward
Voldemort raised his wand preparing to kill him as he sent the killing cure at him
"Adava kavada!"
Cedric stood frozen shocked that someone would actually use the forbidden curse so flippantly,
As the green beam shot towards Cedric, Voldemort snarled gleeful that a runt would die and he could get his anger out on someone, he knew he lost control before he had to focus if the amount of magic displayed by Potter was anything to go by,
Voldemort's smile fell as Cedric didn't drop Like a stone. But he gasped as he breathed and grabbed his chest and a shattered headstone of a grave fell to the ground infront of him
Voldemort looked over to see Harry looking down his wand raised in Cedric's direction
Voldemort backpedaled a bit as he saw the after images of Harry's soul uncontained,, wrathful,
Harry looked up in a glare of uncontrolled rage,
"You…will not…touch him." He snapped.
"Well it looks like you are prepared to duel…that's good." Voldemort said
He stepped forward "first we bow-." He said as he started to bow when a headboard shattered above him and several stones hit him on the head
Voldemort looked up shocked, if he were a lesser man and hadn't bowed, that spell would've blown his head off,
Harry Potter was going for the kill
Voldemort snarled "a firendly duel, and you set it to death very well Potter, Crucio!" Voldemort snapped
Harry however Rolled and the spell his nothing, as he retaliated with a stupify
Voldemort parried the spell and flicked his own spell at Harry.
Harry found himself disarmed, as Voldemort stood above him and spoke of him as a merciful lord, however Harry snarled and clapped his hands together around Voldemort's face and blasted Him back with just hand hands
Harry accioed his wand to his hand, as Voldemort snarled having enough games,
"Enough games Harry Potter! By tonight no one will question my superiority! Now face your death!" He said
Voldemort blasted Harry with a spell but Harry didn't even flinch as the spell went wide around him as he followed it and it hit a grave stone.
Harry turned around to see Voldemort follow up with another death curse,
"No!" Cedric screamed
Everyone laughed as Harry was thrown backwards Voldemort danced happy as all belief as Harry Potter was dead,
Suddenly a green light filled the Corner of Harry Potter's corpse, as Voldemort turned around
And sitting against a stone was back supporting it was Harry Potter.
Holding the killing curse at bay in his fucking hands,
And on his face revealed how
Sheer
Fucking
Spite!
Voldemort scowled how dare this boy prance around him like this making a fool out of him without even trying
"Arvada kavada!" Voldemort screamed again shooting another blast at Harry
Harry flung the spell in his hands as Voldemort and the two collided in midair sending sparks in the sky
Harry Potter out of sheer instinct followed up with the disarming spell as Voldemort fired a death curse at Harry,
Harry growled as he felt the spells matching in strength, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes and accepted his death,
Voldemort grinned cheerfully
"Hahaha accepting your death Harry?!"
"No…" a voice said that filled the graveyard
"My husband will not accept death TOM NOT AFTER WHAT YOU'VE DONE!"
Harry opened his eyes to reveal they were not green anymore like his mother but were a chocolate brown like Ginny,
Harry's soul Exploded outwards rooting itself into the ground and the plants and life around the graveyard started to turn grey and die
"What is this!?" Voldemort asked
"You ask what this is tom?! This is the power of love!" Ginny's voice rang in throughout the graveyard
"DO IT HARRY!" Ginny screamed
"EXPELLIARMUS!" Harry yelled
"ARVADA KAVADA!" Voldemort yelled
The spells hit at the same time, and the brother wands failed to duel creating the shades, of Frank and Bertha Jorkins, as well as Harry's mother and father. Which bought Harry enough time to get to the portkey with Cedric and they vanished as Voldemort and his death eaters strode forward and saw Harry had left he roared in rage,
At Hogwarts everyone was ready, Ginny had gotten to Dumbledore in time as The minister had been extracted, Several armies of Auroras had arrived at the quidditch pitch, ready to fire an army of Spells at Voldemort should he be the one to enter,
In the front checking everyone was Sirius black, the man as of now being considered to be Head of the Aurora department, he was snapping orders like a drill Sargent
"WANDS UP!" He snapped at a 18 year old
When one of the older auroras tried to defend his protégés Sirius snapped at him too
"My godson is on the other side! don't you snap at me!" He roared
"DO IT HARRY!l Ginny screamed from the stands
Sirius black and the others stood at the ready for anything
"Is it a good idea to have the girl here?" The same 18 year old said
"According to Black her and Mr Potter have a soul bond and thus are priority targets."
Suddenly there was a pop as both Cedric and Harry landed on the quidditch pitch
Sirius ran forward and helped Harry up "Harry what happened?!" He asked as he did this Almos ran to Cedric to ask if he was alright but Cedric only kept saying Voldemort was back.
Harry was panting and couldn't speak as Dumbledore walked forward
"Sirius look at him, he's exhausted." He said
Sirius pulled back as Dumbledore knelt down
"Harry tell me is what you told Ginny true?" He asked
Harry still couldn't speak but he did nod.
Suddenly there was commotion as The minister of magic entered "Harry! Cedric! It's great you've made it back for the ceremony!" He said
"Now is not the time minister Voldemort is back." Sirius said
Fudge was flustered "I-I beg your pardon me black but You-know-who is not back!" He said
"Yes he is, I saw him myself!" Cedric said standing up
Fudge turned on Cedric his smile fading
"Nonsense my boy your we're just seeing it your lying to cover up what actually happened."
"HOW DARE YOU MINISTER FUDGE! DON'T YOU DARE ACCUSE MY SON OF LYING!" Almos snapped as he walked forward towards fudge but several Aroras as well as Cedric's mother held back her husband.
Fudges was startled but tried to keep his image "b-but how did you survive?" He asked thinking there was no way the boys could get out of this
"It was all Harry! Harry Potter fought You-know-who to a standstill." Cedric said
In the distance Moody turned around in shock.
As they were interrogating Harry Moody strode forward "Albus the boy is in shock let me take him inside and I'll calm him down." He said
As Harry was head off by moody they entered his office where Moody revealed himself as Barty crouch jr the death eater Harry was about to be killed but Harry turned the tables on moody
Suddenly the door was blown open by Albus who was followed by Snape, Merniva, Ginny, Devon and the other teachers. As they stormed in as a revealed Barty crouch sat there unable to move for fear of a spell.
"Barty crouch! Where is Alastor Moody?!" Albus roared
Barty crouch was silent Albus spun to snap who handed him a small vial and put three drops in his mouth
"Your name." Albus asked
"B-Barty crouch…jr." He said trying to fight the truth potion.
"Did you put my name in the Goblet of fire?" Harry snapped
"Yes." Barty groaned
"Where is Alastor moody."
Barty crouch just pointed to the trunk
Harry flicked his wand and the trunk opened as everyone looked up to reveal a worn and worse for wear Alastor at the bottom of the trunk.
Alastor was sent to the hospital wing as Fudge tried to get rid of the evidence of Barty crouch by a dementor but devon stopped it and in that time Barty crouch used the floo to escape.
Fudge was in shock and in that time Amelia Bones was there and began to take action to cast a vote of no confidence on Fudge.
Harry and Cedric gave testimonies of the grave yard using the Pensive.
Fudge was given the honor to award the the Triwizard champions there 500 galleon prize which they split the original one thousand. And Harry noticed Fudge looked very pale in that time.
Before the other schools left Harry Cedric And Krum has a Seeker duel between the three of them which was a good way to relax after the stressful tournament.
Harry also doubled down on the Defense Association's meeting's stating openly they were about defense during the summer should you need it but it's only to be used as a last resort due to the restrictions of underage magick
Harry gave this speech to the entire school which made people angry that this club was for a select few. However Harry spoke up
"I understand the revealment of the Defense association will come as a surprise however starting next year we will accept anyone from third year and above who want to stand up Voldemort and his death eaters." Come see Hermione Ron or I any time and we will put you down for next year."
And soon after that they we're heading on the train for kings cross for the summer.
Ron and hermione said they would keep in touch as Dumbledore mentioned to Harry that before the Tran ride the Dursleys were attacked and thus the safest place was 12 Grimmauld place.
Harry accepted this as Dumbledore coming around as the old man also said he would be popping around most of this summer to help train Harry. Harry said he got most of it under control. Albus said he was just to watch and give feedback as he knew he was ready after fighting Voldemort to a standstill. As well as training the DA.
On the train Harry gave his money to feed and George to start their shop. Which they accepted.
As Harry and the others left the Train the parted and headed off for the summer break.
In a more rural part of England Voldemort and his death eaters had moved to Malfoy manor. As Malfoy had a secret stash of dark artifacts as well as more money hidden away not in Gringotts so it was unable to be seized giving Voldemort a significant warchest.
However that's not what truly worried him it was the Potter boy.
In the duel Voldemort has been lucky to just scrape by and Harry escaped. He had just gotten his body back and he had been very close to losing it again. This would not sue he needed to know more magic he needed to find a way to overpower the boy otherwise his rule as Dark lord would always be questioned.
Of course there was more in the last 13 years the ministry had gotten very good at hunting down his death eaters. To where only 5 had actually come to his call much of them had been put into Azakaban.
The same Azkaban that his loyal servant Barty Crouch Jr. had escaped from.
And his loyal servant had just returned. As many of the five had to go back into hiding as normal wizards leaving Barty Crouch and Wormtail by his side.
"Tell me…do you think you can break into Azkaban prison?" Voldemort asked
"Who are we extracting?" Barty Crouch asked
"…Everyone…"

As you can see this is the end of GoF and so much has changed
