"Ask if we're there yet."
"Are we there yet?"
"No."
"That's lame."
"Chara says that's lame."
"-Cause it is! And his little bat ears are stupid too,"
Me and Chara are in an airplane, I think it's neat. Chara… doesn't. Or at least the part where we're surrounded by humans. I don't really like that part either.
"I think they're cute."
"You think everything's cute," she huffed, "At least his is better than mermaid dude's or the Peter Pan's."
I mean, I don't think everything's cute.
"Hey, Frisk right?" I nodded when Peter Pan got my attention. Did he forget my name?
"Peter Pan's a dumbass," Chara crossed her arms, "Frisk are you sure you want to hang with these humans?"
I smiled and nodded despite being a tad unsure, "It'll be fine, besides they aren't all humans right? They could be fun." I snuggled into San's jacket, I hope they're fun at least…
"Frisk?" Green Lantern aka Peter Pan spoke up. Oh shoot, forgot about him. "What do you mean by that?"
I bowed my head, "My apologies, I didn'tdid not mean to be rude. I am having a conversation with Chara."
He put his hands up "Oh no, you're fine. No need for that. Feel free to continue your, erm, conversation."
"Frisk, why didn't we just fly with Diana? It'd save us from listening to his drivel." Chara shot her a look, "And stop being so polite, Mrs. Mom wouldn't care how you treat this trash."
I looked at her, "Nuh-uh, Teri- Mother said to be polite no matter what. You kept getting onto me for disobeying her until I got it right, remember?" Chara just crossed her arms and grumbled a bit in response.
I faced Green Lantern -who was looking at me in a very peculiar way- again, "And it's fine, what do you need?"
He rubbed the back of his head, "Uh… 'E-hem,' He cleared his throat. "Nothing much, just if you could tell me more about your power."
I tilted my head, "My power?"
"Yeah, nothing too major just in general terms how would you describe it?"
"What do you mean by my power?" I glanced at Chara for help but she just shrugged, she doesn't know either.
"You know, your powers? Abilities?" he started to ramble on but I just stared at his 'mask'. How does that tiny thing keep anyone's identity safe? Actually, Diana doesn't even wear a mask. Neither does the big guy with the S whose name I already chose to forget.
"Frisk, you with me?"
Oops, I got distracted. "Yes, of course," I looked at Chara who shook her head firmly, "Chara doesn't want to tell you that." I don't know how I would answer it anyways. We can do kind of a lot.
"Well I didn't ask Chara, I asked you."
"Nope."
Nope. Nope. Nope. I promptly turned my head and didn't pay him any more attention. I even ignored how rude it is to not answer. He's a human so being a little rude is fine right?
Looking out the window I saw Diana flying…
That. Is. So. Cool!
"Hey, Chara!" I gasped out, "Come look at Diana!"
"Dude, that bitch isn't even- HOLY SHIT THAT'S COOL!" she yelled out after appearing over my shoulder.
"Let's go outside!" I yelled and started for the door.
"Yeah! Let's- Wait what?" Chara blinked as I opened the door before anyone could react, "Frisk we can't fl-"
Too late. Her voice was drowned out as we both dropped like a rock.
A few hours later
"So what did you learn?" Diana asked when we touched down on an island. It was pretty, surrounded by waterfalls going into an abyss I couldn't see down.
"That flying is hard." This is fun, she's holding me like a princess. Chara is on her shoulders but she doesn't know that.
"No- you," Diana sighed, "Okay, what does Chara have to say about your little stunt?"
I looked up at Chara, she shrugged so I copied said shrug.
"Oh dear," she sighed, making no move to put me down. I noticed that her skin is super hard, and she's all muscley, "Alright then, we should only need to wait a few minutes."
I tilt my head and Chara asks, "What is she talking about?" I shrugged at her and made a noncommittal noise, still on Diana's shoulders, and looked around. It's a beach, obviously. It's pretty too.
We didn't have to wait too long for another woman to arrive, just as big and muscle-y as Diana, I look up at Chara, "Maybe that's it?" I say pointing in her direction.
"That's what?"
"What she was talking about."
"Oh," she floated off Diana's shoulders and reoriented herself to where she was floating upside down in front of me, "I guess, there's a possibility."
I blanched, "What? No, that's totally what it is," I tugged on Diana's swimsuit, "Diana that's what you were talking about right?"
She raised an eyebrow, "I'll need context," she said while using one hand to hold me and the other to fix the chest piece of her swimsuit.
Oh. That's right.
I point at the woman quickly coming our way, "That's what we were waiting for right? Chara says it's only a possibility. I think that they're definitely what we were waiting for."
Diana's lips quirked a bit, "Yes, you're about to meet my fellow Amazons."
I point dramatically at Chara, "Ha! I was right this time!"
She just crossed her hands over the back of her head and smirks, "Hey now, I said there was a possibility. Technically we were both right."
Huh… I guess that works. Still doesn't stop me from turning my face away from her and into Diana's chest.
"Hey, stop pouting." I peek at her and she jerks her head in the direction of the woman, eyes narrowing, "Pay attention."
Oh, they're talking.
"-cort us to my mother." Diana powerfully spoke to the sorta intimidating lady.
The woman, a massive blonde who looked like she could arm wrestle a bear… and win. Anyone could arm wrestle a bear but I don't think a lot of people could win said wrestling. Anyways, she spoke up, "You may be our princess, however, all Amazon's must obey our laws, even you. Who is the child?"
Ohh, they're talking about us!
This is Frisk," she said simply. I cleared my throat, "Oh, my apologies- and her sister Chara. Frisk and her sister Chara is what I meant to say." I smile, that's more like it.
The blonde woman walked forward, "What do you mean? I only see one-" she pauses for some reason, "-Is the child injured?" she doesn't sound overly concerned. Why would she think I'm injured though?
I look at Chara for some clarification, she just sighs and points at me. Following her finger, I look down at the jacket I'm wearing. Oh, yeah…
Sans' last jacket.
I snuggle deeper into it.
"No, no. She's without injury as far as I know. The jacket's from…" she trailed off uncertainty, then looked at me, "Somewhere interesting I'm sure."
The blonde woman sighed, "Princess if I may be frank, why are you here? Will your 'League' be arriving with you?"
Diana shook her head, "No, I called them off. They were escorting these two," She shook me, "to the island in their plane, but her flight was cut short."
"Cut short?" The blonde asked.
"Yes, as it turns out Frisk here wanted to see if she could fly."
"We did fly."
"We fell."
"You fell."
"Okay, maybe Chara was falling but I was flying downward." I made a point to sniff all haughtily, just like papyrus showed me.
Chara blanched, "Frisk, I'm literally floating right now."
Before I could talk Chara into admitting I'm right… somehow, Diana spoke over me, "As you can see, Frisk and Chara are very special girls." I gave her my best smile, Chara did not. "I'm sure you can feel it, Mala. You've always been more skilled at this than I."
Mala held her stern expression for a moment before dropping it and squeezing the bridge of her nose, "Only cause you never tried, but yes. Yes, I can. Is there any reason you're holding her like a toddler?" -princess- right, princess?"
I do not look like a baby.
Diana's expresion grew sheepish, "You'll understand soon enough. Let's carry on to my mother, I'm sure she would wish to meet these two for herself."
Mala sighed, "Yes, I suppose you're right. Frisk, Chara, well met." She greeted, while looking at us both respectively. Like, directly at us both. Including Chara.
I gasped, "You can see Chara!?" I grinned. From the corner of my eye, I saw Chara's face instantly grow a shade similar to her eyes.
My sister's shy.
"Mala chuckled, "No, no. I can tell something I'm assuming to be your, erm, sister is above Diana though."
"Aww," Welp, that's disappointing.
"Why're you moaning about something so trivial? Yours are the only eyes I care about, you know this." Chara grumbled, quickly calming down.
"Because no one's ever seen you before. It would have been pretty neat, right?" I leaned against Diana's chest. It almost feels like a hug from Mother, only less warm, and soft… and nice.
Mother gave the best hugs.
"I… suppose."
"How peculiar…" The lady called Mala trailed off. Why she said that I have no idea.
Diana smirked, "Indeed."
Shaking her head Mala straightened up, "Alright then, let us go. It is best not to keep Queen Hippolyta waiting." She gave me one last lingering glance and promptly turned around and began marching.
Throughout our walk to the queen, I took in the sights. They were similar to some ruins on the surface of my old world except, well, they aren't ruins. Lots of columns though, and there was so much green and sunshine, everything was out in the open.
Everyone would have loved it here.
I wanted to look around more and I knew Chara wanted to as well. but we're about to meet a Queen! That has to make up for it right? I mean technically we already have cause of Mother…
Wait. Am… Am I a princess? Should I be more princess-y? Chara sometimes slips into fancy talk so maybe…
Oh my gosh, Chara's a princess. Which means I'm a princess. There are so many times I could have used that! Like… Like I could have gotten a discount at the spider's bake sale! Maybe. Probably not… could I have pet Muffin, maybe? No, Muffet would have charged me for that too.
I could have at least gotten the finest bottle of cough syrup from Grillby's.
Soon enough, we arrived at the big marble building on top of a hill, er- mountain. Somewhere in between a hill and a mountain. It wasn't the biggest building but it was the highest. Overlooking everything in the city.
I'm just glad I don't have to climb all those stairs.
Diana's heart started beating just a little faster as the big doors opened.
Big doors, big person. Big queen. Or, regular queen. Mother was fine with the little house we lived in. She was fine with teaching at her school. She didn't need big doors.
So I might be wrong.
Walking into the room, it was quiet. The room itself was really big. Like the hall Chara and San's fought in so, so many times. There were lots of women in here too, but the one that instantly got my attention was sitting on a raised throne flanked by two more very large women.
"Daughter." The lady on the throne greeted as everyone in our group knelt.
Definitely the queen.
"She kind of looks like Diana," Chara commented, floating beside us with her hands behind her head.
I nodded, she almost looks identical.
"Frisk, context clues," Chara yawned. What does she mean by that? So the queen looks like Diana and called her Daughter… oh.
I was set down, finally, while Diana knelt too. Still keeping ahold of my hand, "Mother," She greeted. "I have a request."
Diana's a princess too. I let Chara know I got it with a thumbs up.
"And might it have something to do with this child?" the queen raised an exquisite eyebrow.
How are they so symmetrical?
"Yes Mother, these are Frisk -I waved- and her sister Chara -she held up a very impolite finger- I have reason to believe they will interest you. And as they have no one else to take them in, I thought we might. That they would prosper here. Of that, I have no doubt.
The queen's eyes narrowed, "Do not be coy, Diana."
Diana met the queen's eyes, "She is a child that needs a home. I found her sealed within a mountain. Everything else can be discussed in less delicate company."
"I see," the queen shifted her eyes to me, "You there, Frisk, come forward and introduce yourself."
Okay, this is it. I'm a princess in a distant land, talking to a foreign nation's queen. Gotta do this right.
I gently extracted my arm from Diana's hand, patting it. Taking a deep breath I loudly speak, "Thank you, noble steed! I do not need your assistance from this point onward."
"Uh, Frisk what are you-"
"Hello there!" I march forward and bow with a flourish, I'm using my haughty voice, "It is an honor to be in the presence of one such as I, er, you! Your land is quite pretty!"
"Dude, seriously-"
I raise my head, "My name is Frisk, princess of the underground, beloved by all monsters -most of the time!" I gesture to Chara, who has her palm firmly planted on her forehead. "And this is my elder sister Princess Chara! Beloved by fewer monsters than me but still very much beloved! How do you do!"
Chara floated next to my ear, still upside down, "Dude, stop ignoring me! What are you doing?"
"I'm behaving as a princess should," I whisper through the side of my mouth, still facing the queen.
"But why though?" She whispered back.
"Cause we're princesses, we have to act more fancy."
"What? No we're not. Where'd you get that idea?"
I fully look at her, cupping my mouth, "Mother was a queen and Father was a king."
"What? That's not…" She flipped right side up, cupping her chin, "Mrs. Mom and Mister Dad were-" Her eyes slowly widened, "Holy shit, I'm a princess…"
I nod resolutely and turn back to the queen.
"Are you done?" She asked. I shrug, "Okay then, ignoring the… spectacle that just occurred. Well met Frisk and Chara, I am Hippolitya. Queen of Amazons. Now I must ask, where do you come from?" Her fingers gripped the armrest of her giant stone chair, "Why introduce yourself as the princess of Monsters?"
I take a deep breath, "I hail from a world that is no longer with us lost to the void of malice and destruction." Aka, humans. "We are from a kingdom forsaken by time and space and light, a kingdom of monsters sealed away from the splendor of the sun. We are from the underground."
"Dude, that was pretty good," Chara commented.
"I know right," I whisper back.
The queen smirked, "Ho? And how did you find yourself inside a mountain, Princess Frisk? If you hail from another world?"
"We were-" I cut myself off, okay I don't actually know how we got inside that mountain. "I looked at Chara for answers only for her to shrug. She didn't know either. "Well, um, Yes! We- erm, hail from another land! As for how we arrived inside the mountain… umm, there was nothing and then there was something? And then we woke up."
"There was nothing?" the queen asked with a regal tilt of her head.
I shook my head, "Well, no there was something before the nothing, obviously, but after a while in the nothing there was a… well, me and Chara got bored of the nothing after a while so then there was a…" I tried wracking my brain for something but all that turned up was blank. There was the end of everything, then I was sad for a long time and Chara cheered me up, then we got bored after a while and decided to do something. Then it gets hazy.
"I do not remember…"
"Hmm," the queen propped her chin up in her palm, leaning back on the armrest. "Daughter, you were correct. She is interesting. Tell me, would you have her trained? To fight for your "league" and the world of men?"
Diana shook her head, "She may be trained if she wishes, however, she does not have the same oaths as I do. If she wishes to fight alongside me and the league so be it. However, that will ultimately be her choice to make."
The queen gave her a quick nod, "Very well, however know this, if she is to live among us, she shall be taught our ways, and learn how to fight alongside her sister Amazons."
Diana looked at me for confirmation, so I shrugged. How bad could it be? Undynes' training wasn't that bad… I just wanted the sweet release of death at times. With no save point.
"Also," The queen sighed, "Why is the child wearing soiled clothing still? I'm assuming she is not injured but did no one think to replace them?" she looked around, "Hm?"
"Mother," Diana horridly cut in, "We came directly to you, besides the jacket holds value to Frisk, I doubt she'd appreciate it being taken away. Frisk put it away now, please." Diana addressed me.
I don't know what everyone's deal with Sans' jacket is. Sure it's a bit bloodied and it's sliced open from where we landed the final and only blow… but it's still a really cool jacket! Maybe this particular queen doesn't like jackets? Mother didn't mind jackets, of course, it's not exactly fair to compare this queen to Mother.
"Frisk?" Diana got my attention again. "Speaking to Chara again? I didn't know you two could talk telepathically."
I shook my head, "No, this time it's just me." There were gasps as I put Sans' jacket back in [Inventory].
"Child," the queen began, "What was that?"
I tilt my head, glancing at Chara.
"She's talking about your [Inventory] dummy." Chara helpfully supplied.
"Oh okay," I looked at the queen, "I put it away in my [Inventory] Ma'am?" Looking at Chara, she gave me a thumbs up so I did good on that at least.
"A pocket space…" the queen trailed off, she looked like she was thinking about something, I think speculative is the word? Chara would know.
She stood and I noticed everyone in the room, even Diana, stiffened. "Well Frisk -Princess Frisk- Ah yes, Princess Frisk. As you and your… sister will be staying on Themyscira, for the foreseeable future you will follow our laws and customs," she walked down the steps towards me, her hips doing the same thing Mothers did when she walked. Though she was super embarrassed when I pointed it out. "You will be trained in the ways of us Amazons," She continued, "You will eat like an Amazon, sleep like an Amazon, live as an Amazon does. But first…" she stopped right in front of me, "You will kneel to me, as all Amazons do."
I mean this could be pretty fun, right? I lower myself to kneel, how bad could it be?
"Frisk, wait." Chara stopped me.
I look at her, tilting my head.
"We are princesses of the mighty monsters," she stated seriously, coming to float beside me and puffing her chest out, "We kneel to no one."
"I'm pretty sure you only just realized -WE KNEEL TO ONLY ONE QUEEN!" Chara shouted over me."
"We are the daughters of Toriel the kind and Asgore the -er- also very kind, sisters of Asriel the kind. Does your pride as a Dreemur only run so deep? Does it not burn like a thousand Grillby's to lower thyself before another?"
"Chara, we're shorter than everyone- WELL I SAY NAY! Nayy, Lady Frisk," she cut me off, "I will not allow ye, mine own sister, to disgrace thyself so!" She finished with a bow and a hand over her chest. "Seriously though, queen or not, do not lower your head because of a few humans."
A small smile worked itself on my face, it's nice to see Chara enjoying herself. She does have a point though. Addressing the queen, I shook my head. "We cannot. We weren't joking about us being princesses." I stood a little straighter.
"Perhaps we should reintroduce ourselves. We," I did a little curtsy, "are Frisk and Chara Dreemurr. Adopted daughters of Asgore Dreemurr and Toriel Dreemurr, king and queen of all monsters." As I spoke -in my most polite voice- I let some of our Determination seep out. "I am very sorry, but we kneel to only two" -through hugs, and I gave those to lots of people so that's kind of a lie- "Please do not mistake this for disrespect, it is only in memory of our kingdom that we do not.
"And cause they're filthy humans," Chara added.
"-Ah, yes, and because your-" I caught myself, "Chara that's rude." My Determination to make a good impression was cut off.
She shrugged, "It's the truth."
"I mean, yeah…" I agreed. "But they're clean. I'm not going to say that."
We were interrupted by the queen's laugh, it looked like the other women in here are surprised by it too, "Oh Diana, she is interesting." She wiped a tear from her eye and wrapped an arm, along with her soft cape around me.
"Hey! Frisk tell her to let go!" Chara yelled.
"Uhh, Queen Hippolyta. Chara says to-"
"Very well child, you will not have to kneel. It would be a shame to diminish such spirit, however, the other terms still apply. You will live as an Amazon." She started to guide me out of the room. "Daughter, follow us. Everyone else may go back to their duties."
"Dude, what the hell."
I shrugged the best I could.
"Frisk, Chara," the queen continued, "We have much to discuss, like why do you close your eyes so? And what exactly is your relationship with your sister?"
Even as the queen rattled off questions, I still jumped when the doors closed with a slam.
Later that night
"By the gods, Diana, what have you brought to our shores?" Hippolyta massaged her brow. After getting as much information out of the girl, Frisk, as she dared. She sent the creature away with Mala to be bathed and properly clothed.
Diana sat down next to Hippolyta, she and her Mother rarely had the chance to be alone together so they changed into their nightwear and retreated to her bedroom. "Honestly, I am not quite sure myself. She- They are powerful though." A grin worked itself over her face. "You should have felt when Chara deigned to greet the league."
Scoffing at her daughter's -nearly- mad grin, Hippolyta crossed her legs. "Obviously. Diana, I do not understand why you are excited. Do you intend to slay the beast when she is older? You might have brought her here, however, she is under my protection. I won't allow harm befall her, not even from my own daughter."
It was Diana's turn to scoff, "Do you truly think so low of me? I did not lie when I told you my reason for bringing her."
"Hmm," Hippolyta hummed, "No, I suppose you didn't. You're too noble for such deceit. However, that wasn't the whole truth now, was it?"
Diana bit her lip, "No… Mother. It was not." She took Hippolyta's hands in her own. "I'm sure you felt it, correct? That… presence?"
Hippolyta nodded, how could she not? Even if she wasn't adept at sensing magic, she'd be able to feel it. Hades, the whole island felt it.
Diana continued, "Well, that is but a fraction of their true power. And that was just Frisk, the more polite of the two. Chara, whatever she is, is a creature of malevolence. Only tempered by Frisk herself. I felt it. That Frisk seems to have some form of control over it, is a miracle in and of itself."
"Which creature are you talking about? Frisk or this Chara hanging over her shoulder?"
Diana chuckled, "Does it really matter? They are dangerous. I brought them here, not only so they could grow safely, but also because they need to be watched. Because to release that onto the world without truly knowing where its goals lie would be the height of foolishness."
Hippolyta glanced at the window, "I see." Yes, Frisk and Chara could be a valuable asset, but they could also be… something else. She doesn't care for the world of man, not as her daughter does. But Diana does have a point.
"Do you believe the girl's words? About where they come from?" Diana asked, eyes sharpening.
Hippolyta hesitated, "We… have no reason to believe they're lying. However, children often do not grasp the full picture. And while she's obviously much more than just a child, she still takes the form and mannerisms of one."
Her daughter nodded once, "We'll have to find out more then."
"Yes," Hippolyta agreed, "We will. But that can wait." She reached for Diana, pulling her into an embrace, "Now let's sleep. I haven't seen you in many years Daughter, and I fear this will be the only chance to hold you close for more to come."
"Mother!" Diana jolted with red on her cheeks, "I am grown. We haven't done this since I was a child!"
Hippolyta chuckled, "Even more so of a reason then. Allow me this daughter, I've missed you." She squeezed a bit tighter.
Diana stopped struggling, "…Fine."
Truly, her daughter's noble heart keeps bringing danger to their lands, it's concerning. However, this time Hippolyta can't bring herself to place blame.
After all, with danger comes opportunity.
-With Chara-
Chara doesn't sleep, not normally anyway. This is why when Frisk settled down for the night, she stood guard over her sister. The other half to her whole. The literal only good thing humans have ever produced, even if it's through a technicality.
The "Humans" think that because they are children, because Frisk seems younger than them, that she's susceptible to clever wordplay and distractions. Which isn't… not accurate, most of the time. However, that is only because Frisk allows it to be so.
She floats through the door, through the walls, and the ceiling. Checking to see if Frisk is being guarded, treated like a prisoner.
She will not have her sweet little sister locked in a cage.
But no, luckily for them, the only humans near them are just more sleeping humans. The woman who escorted them here said that this would be temporary. That they would be moved to a 'bunkhouse' with the rest of the warriors to train.
Chara almost smirked. Frisk hates training of any kind. It'll be funny to see her go through this. She got a good laugh when Undyne put Frisk through it in one of their runs.
Welp, it might be okay to go look around.
Unlike when Frisk is awake, she can roam around right now. When Frisk is sleeping, dreaming, her consciousness wanders. Which means she can wander too.
Floating through one of the walls, Chara decided to see what the humans do at night besides sleep. She's just a little curious because she can tell that there's a little more to them than being strictly human but only just.
Poking her head through random buildings, she saw that some were studying or working or working on something the anime lizard would love to get a look at. Some were having a nonsensical conversation. Although most were just sleeping.
Sticking her head through a wall, Chara immediately withdrew, red-faced. And some were having… relations.
Slowly she put her head back through the wall, she needs to memorize their faces. To make sure Frisk doesn't go near them. Who knows what the little flirt would do if she were surrounded by such… filth.
How on earth are so many women able to hold their breath for that long?
Chara shook her head, done with her… surveillance. Yeah, surveillance. She decided to do what she'd set out to do in the first place.
Go to the beach.
Touching down on the sands, Chara couldn't help but marvel just a little. While her incorporal form wouldn't displace any of it, the white sand looked soft and fluffy in a way. Asriel had always talked about actual beaches, wanting to splash and play in the water. To feel the sand between his toes and the breeze on his skin.
It's… sad he can't witness this.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
Hearing a voice, soft as it may be, Chara's eyes widened as she whirled around to face the owner. A beautiful -even she could admit that- dark-haired girl in gothic dress.
"Where did you come from?" Chara inwardly grimaced. She's a bit too caught off guard, that wasn't the best response.
The girl chuckled, "I could ask you the same thing." She sat down, scooping up a handful of sand and letting it run through her fingers, the breeze carried what escaped away. "Feels nice right? That breeze." She took a deep breath, "It's super refreshing."
Chara's face contorted into confusion for a brief moment, before she gasped. She felt something gently caressing her skin.
The breeze.
Chara gulped, tensing even as she somehow smelt salt in the air. "How are you doing this?" she demanded. "What are you?"
Again, a chuckle. "Relax, Angel. And again, I could ask the same thing." She patted the ground, cracking a smile, "Please?"
Chara crossed her arms, not looking away from whatever it was, and slowly sat on the ground.
"I know that's not your true form."
"Oh yeah," the girl smirked, "And who's to say it isn't?"
Chara's cheek twitched, "It's just… not okay!? I don't feel anything from you, yet I feel something. It's like an itch I can't scratch, or something tickling my mind. It just doesn't feel natural".
The girl snorted, "Maybe not to you, but to most I'm the most natural thing they'll ever meet."
Nothing this girl says is making Chara feel better.
"C'mon, Angel relax." She gave a cheery grin, "I'm not a threat."
Chara's eyes narrowed, "Yeah, whatever you say. And don't call me Angel!" She glanced away, "It's weird."
The girl fell back in the sand, "Ah, but that's what you are though. My angel. Or at least you could be. It's your decision."
Chara jumped to her feet, face red. She's not used to talking to anyone but Frisk and it shows. "Listen Lady or -er- whatever you are, I don't know what your deal is but I'm no one's angel -except mine~ so let's just stay out of each other's way. You don't mess with me and I don't mess with you. Deal?" Chara held out a hand.
The girl however just stretched out more on the ground, "Nah, relax Angel. Like I said, I'm not a threat to you or your sister."
At once Chara's demeanor changed. She needs to get this thing away from here. Even Frisk might not be able to touch it and isn't that a scary thought? Frisk can beat gods at her weakest.
"Don't touch Frisk?"
The girl laughed, truly laughed, and looked away from the moon to face her, "How many times do I have to say it, relax. I can't touch you or your sister."
The joy in her voice threw Chara for a loop, "What?" she took a step back.
The girl gracefully rolled to her feet and appeared right in front of a frozen Chara's face. "I. Can't. Touch. You." Her fingers almost brushed Chara's cheeks before she spun away with a giggle, "And isn't that just beautiful? Ironic, but beautiful."
The girl outright danced under the moon, arms spread to keep her balance. "Sorry about this, I'm a bit giddy right now." She started to walk away, smile softening into something less cheery. "Next time, I'd like to meet your sister if that's okay with you." She twiddled her fingers in a goodbye.
"See you later, Angel."
And with that, she vanished, along with the blissful sensation of the cool breeze.
Chara blinked, "Okay, that happened." She appeared at Frisk's side in an instant, "For now on, no more leaving you alone."
This might be fun after all.
AN: Ha! you all thought this was dead? You thought I forgot? Well think again. It was just really hard to figure out how to write. No more first PoV in this story that's for sure, I realized that third would work much better like half way into writing this and didn't want to rewrite.
Plus Themesculla is hard. Like I didn't have a clue how the queen acts, or any of the other Amazons.
Redking is a lifesaver.
But yeah! It should be getting updated just as much as my other stories now. Which I mean, isn't as much as I'd like. Multiple jobs still suck. Anyways, I literally only had to get past this part. Now I'm golden.
