Chapter 3: A Weasel and Three Rocket-Turks.
Meanwhile, as another meteorite hits the ground, it traveled straight through the earth and into the underground cavern of the Dinosaur World, which was left unsealed for a period of time, opened and resealed, opened again before being resealed once more. The Dinosaur inhabits were oblivious of the dangers happening in the surface above them, yet they were in for a problem of their own while they were with eating or sleeping.
Especially from three red feathered flying dinosaurs came swooping in through the threes, and a large female one called Gertie flew towards the nest of a mother triceratops, snatching her egg and flew away, much to the mother's horror as she gave chase to save her unhatched child.
"Look at that! I got an egg. How many eggs did you poach, little brother?" Gertie cheered and bumped at a smaller and thinner dino bird named Roger, who, unlike his sister and father, was more of a generous and honest type, not liking the lifestyle of being a carnivore or even a thief.
"Do we have to steal other creatures' eggs?" Roger asked, uncertainly as he felt guilty and was quite cowardly and clumsy. "I mean, couldn't we just go vegan?"
"Sure, we can eat vegan." His older sister shrugged mockingly and threw the egg at him.
Roger nearly dropped it in panic before the egg was caught by their father, Gavin, who along with his children flew above a cliff and hovered above the now distraught mother.
"Son, sometimes I wonder how you snuck into this family." Gavin smirked.
"~Figaro!~"
A voice suddenly sang above them, causing all three to look up in confusion and saw that higher up from another cliff with water flowing like a shower, and behind a leaf that acted like the shower curtain, was a silhouette of a Weasel who was continuing to sing while washing himself.
"~Figaro, Figaro, Figaro, FIGAROOOO!~" It was none other than Buck the one-eyed dino-hunting and protecting Weasel, who still had the life of being single, fun and pleasure of being here as well as being the local hero of the undiscovered world.
Having heard the commotion down below yet not letting it daunt his showering and singing, Buck called out while peaking out from his 'curtain'. "Be with you in a minute! I'll have to uh...rinse and repeat."
While Buck continued to wash himself, Gavin just rolled his eyes as he groaned. "That weasel is such a buzzkill. Let's go, kids." Giving the egg to Roger who didn't drop it this time, Gavin and his kids then flew down while the mother just continued to watch helplessly.
"Don't worry, ma'am." Buck reassured calmly as he was done, pulling away the leaf and used another to dry himself off. "I'll catch the crew that poached your egg."
Taking a sip from a coconut drink, he laughed before throwing it away and prepared himself for a fun rescue mission. "It's a pun! I'm winking under the eye patch."
As he allowed himself to fall after the villains, he began the battle while singing at the same time, throwing two stink berries right at Gavin and Gertie who cried out as they were hit in the faces. Buck then landed onto Roger who tried to bite him but missed.
"~A mother is crying, a damsel in distress, Foreboding intruders have made such a mess.~"
Buck then plucked a feather and began tickling Roger who laughed uncontrollably before the Weasel snatched the egg and was thrown upwards and ran up along the wall proudly, having no fear what so ever. The dino-bird tried to bite him again but ended up biting his own tail and yelped in pain. As days, weeks, months and years have gone by, Buck had become as brave as ever before.
"~What I detect is a lack of respect, For all that is precious and dear! I am the pint-sized protector of this lost world. But my friends call me Buck.~"
All three dino birds then hit the wall which caused Buck and the Egg to be thrown off, but he wasn't worried. He was fully confident in winning this match.
"Well played, guys!" He praised, before narrowly avoiding Gavin who tried to eat him, but chomped onto the rock wall instead. The eye-patched hero then snatched the Egg again and used his knife, originally Rudy's tooth, to glide his way down and easily avoiding the Dino bird trio.
"~I have a message, "Bullies not welcome...Return what you've stolen. Go back where you came from." La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la! You know I'm greater, So don't be a hater. You may be Jurassic, But I am fantastic! Figaro!~"
Throwing himself inside a small cave fit for his size leading down into a tunnel to another hole below them, Buck thrust his knife into the wall and calmly stood with the Egg in one arm, and Gavin getting stuck and unable to get him, much to the dinosaur's growing frustration, while the Weasel's singing voice echoed from the cave.
"~Figaro, Figaro, Figaro, Figaro, Figaro, Figaro, Fiiiiiiiiiigaro!~"
Buck smiled which was music to his heart, and said to Gavin, leaning against the enraged dinosaur's snout. "Oh, love that bit!"
As he then continued singing he slid his way down in a loopy-loop before emerging and free-fell the rest of the way down and landing safely on the ground with the Egg still safe and in one piece, while the dino birds, seeing him come out, hovered there in shock before attempting to go after him again, determined to both get the Egg and now eat him as a mid-night snack.
"~Running, and Climbing, and Spinning, and Grinning, and Ducking, and Diving, and Dodging, and Sliding, and Gliding, and Staying alive, And these are a few of the things that I do before lunch! Death defying! Danger denying!
Look I'm flying! You might think I'm mad, but hey, you only live once!~"
Buck then danced around while dodging the dino birds and calmly stood just as they all had him cornered with their grinning mouths open ready to rip him to shreds, but stopped when he sang the part of the song which sounded like a question.
"~You might think I'm mad, but hey, you only live once! No need to thank me, but if you insist, I won't resist. Who smells like fish?!~"
"Huh?" The trio gaped, while sniffing the air and wondering what he was talking about.
"Hold onto your butts." Buck grinned and topped on top of the egg, and went for a loud final words of his song...which triggered a landside and while he rolled it and himself away to safety, the Dino birds weren't so lucky.
Because the rocks fell right on top of the trio who cried out and were buried, Roger clucking in panic as he tried to escape but was hit and trapped under the pile. Buck in the meantime managed to get away.
"~Class Diiiiiisss...Miiiiiisssssed!~"
As he ended his song, his drink from earlier landed in his paw and he took another sip, while strangely enough a rock mosaic of him was seen in the background and he leaned carefully against the Egg which was unharmed and now safe and sound.
"Ah, good egg." The Weasel sighed as he tossed the fruit behind him in the distance...which hit the rock wall and exploded like a bomb going off. Seconds later, the mother Triceratops let out a worrying roar as she hurried down having seen the whole thing.
Glad to see her and that she would be so happy that her offspring was safe, Buck went over to her and gently placed it in front the female herbivor, bowing gracefully. "Here you are, my lady."
The mother Triceratops let out a smile and groan of sheer relief that her baby was safe, and that the mammal had risked his life to save the egg, before she gave him a thank you lick which made him smile. Suddenly the egg hatched revealing a baby Triceratops who, having felt and heard the whole thing, beamed before giving him a thank you kiss and went back inside for safety until she was ready to fully hatch. That made Buck's heart melt.
'So cute.' Buck thought to himself. He'd seen infants before but always from the small distance. He hadn't thought much about it yet children were always adorable. But ever since meeting his friends the Sailor Team and helped them to rescue Sid almost two years ago, plus seeing them so happy moments after little Peaches was born, he felt the love for kids and decided to up his game to keep all children including new borns safe and sound.
Who knows? Maybe someday he would retire and have kids of his own.
He was brought out of his musings when he heard rocks slightly move behind him, and looked before realizing that the dino-birds were about to emerge.
"Go, I'll lead them away." Buck whispered while giving the egg to the mother who took it into her mouth and ran off back to her nest as he covered the path before leaping over the rock pile to make sure that the dino birds had their eyes on him, but only briefly.
With grunts and roars, Gavin, Gertie and the humiliated Roger poked their heads out with the former two giving the Weasel death glares for ruining their hunt, nearly crushing them and making them total fools of themselves.
"Oh, that was fun! Same time, same place next week?" Buck said, having tied a vine to a rock which he rolled over with one hand and held the vine with the other, waving a goodbye. "Toodles!"
He was then catapulted into the air with a hysterical laughter, leaving behind his new enemies who glared up at where he disappeared into the sky.
Gavin growled darkly as he now vowed revenge, having a pure deep hatred for the hero of the Dinosaur World, thoughts of nothing more than to kill Buck. "Congratulations, weasel. You just signed your death warrant."
Unbeknownst to the dinosaurs and to the eye-patched weasel, deep within the fern and leaves of the jungle, a mysterious figure much like the one who had sent out the Asteroid of Darkness towards the planet which no one, not even Buck, knew of, had witnessed the whole rescue and had watched Buck's very heroic moves.
The figure did not like it one bit. This figure was an Ascian, a being of darkness from the further parts of the Realm of Light.
"Another heart chosen by the successor of Cosmos." The Ascian muttered to himself darkly, having sensed the strong light within Buck's heart and that it was linked to that of Sailor Moon since their meeting. "He may be a creature with fur but he could pose as a threat."
Knowing that the weasel was a danger to the plans, the cloaked figure then teleported himself away via a dark corridor.
Calmly gliding backwards through the air, Buck relaxed as he had his arms behind his head and one leg over the other, saying to himself in satisfaction. "Weaseled my way out of that one."
Suddenly flashes of light caught his attention above him. Curious and confused, the weasel noticed explosions through the ice ceiling of the area.
"Hm? What's all that flash and dazzle about?" He muttered to himself, suddenly sensing that something strange was going on. Could the Sailor Team be sending off Fireworks, or were they in another battle of sorts fighting enemies threatening the peace of the surface world?
SMACK!
So lost in thought of the dismay, Buck realized too late he was heading towards a large rock and hit it head first painfully.
"OW!" He cried out in agony, frozen for a moment before complaining. "Who puts a rock in the middle of the jungle?"
Now his flight having come to a painful stop, the weasel then ended up flopping before he ended up sliding down and into another tunnel. He screamed while trying to stop his descend, going further underground before he grabbed hold of more vines and saved himself from another crash landing, just stopping two inches off the ground.
'Phew...that was close.' He thought to himself, but then he noticed with his single eye of an orange and red glow in another tunnel close to where he was. Was that...a campfire? Or perhaps he landed in another unknown territory. "Hmmm..."
Suspicious on what it was yet curious at the same time, Buck decided to investigate while being careful of an ambush. Peaking from one corner and saw nothing with his knife held out to defend himself, the weasel rolled over to the other side, and twinkle-toed to the other side, and once he was out of hiding corners, he stood up while holding out his knife threateningly at possible dangerous enemies.
But again, he saw no one. Sniffing the air and found he could only smell planet and rock and...something else very strange he'd never seen before, Buck walked slowly and pushed aside more vines. All around him, he saw stone of ancient carvings, unaware that it was a temple. Which meant that someone had come before him and built this sacred area which was left undiscovered for possibly thousands of years until now, but as he had little contact with humans until the Sailor Team arrived with some of the members being humans. But still, he knew little of human culture.
"Blimey...What is this place?" Buck whispered, astonished by his new surroundings. He had never seen anything like it. It was somewhat alien to him. Lost in the amazement of this new 'cave' he felt something sink underneath his foot and looked down yelping. "Whoops!"
He had accidentally stepped on a platform trigger, which in front of him at the sound of the noise, a towering stone pillar with drawings was then emerged, about the same height as Manny and Ellie, maybe a bit taller. Buck gaped in awe at this strange rock, before deciding to investigate it.
'What in the world is this?' He thought before especting the drawings deeply.
What he saw made him gasp in shock and growing amount of horror. Despite never having learned to read ancient carvings, Buck was surprisingly intelligent enough to understand and this means and it didn't take him long to figure out what it was.
The Realm of Light was in grave danger.
Meanwhile, in the world of Midgar within the City of Edge in the Multiverse connected to the Solar Universe, in the midst of night, two human men were running, breathing heavily as they tried to escape from their pursuers after having stolen a case filled with secret files. They raced through the streets and under street lamps, heading towards a sedan car, grinning as they were almost free men.
Almost.
Suddenly they came to a stop when suddenly three silhouette figures, two tall and one really short, emerged from the corner and blocked their escape route, causing the two thieves to skid to a stop. It was Jessie, James and Meowth, originally known as Team Rocket, but now full time members of the Turks after spending five months stuck in their new home, made real members by Rufus ShinRa, the President of the ShinRa Electric Power Company which was not like the one from 8,000 years ago, the trio all wearing Turk uniforms.
"Hello!" Jessie greeted with a grin.
"Hi!" James sneered evilly.
"Recognize us?" Meowth snickered, finally being able to wear a uniform and being the only Pokemon to become a member of the Turks.
"The Turks!" One of the two men exclaimed, now beginning to worry as he took a couple steps back. If there was one thing he knew of, was that no one should ever mess with the Turks, known for skills and spreading fear among criminals.
His partner though, seeing the Team Rocket trio, wasn't that worried as he scoffed. "Ah, these three are nothing but rookie clowns. They can't catch us!"
"No, but but you losers just ended up gettin' yourselves caught." A drawling but dangerous voice, which if one didn't know him, would mistake the man for Lea/Axel.
Freezing in tracks and now both men becoming terrified, the thieves spun around and saw Reno, the Fastest of Turks, Second in Command, approach smirking with his EMR in hand, tapping against his left shoulder with a grin, now blocking their only exit, leaving the thieves trapped.
"Bad move in lettin' your guard down like that." Reno continued nonchalantly. "Now, how 'bout you hand over that case and we can all put ya's right into the cell so the rest of us can go home and get some sleep?"
While the first thief considered in surrendering as he didn't want to die tonight, the second man growled and snapped. "Like hell we will!"
The Turks just grinned as Meowth mockingly said. "Sorry, but you guys ain't got no choice."
At the signal, James then tossed a Pokeball into the air, calling out. "Come on out, Carnivine! Vine whip!"
Carnivine emerged in a flash of light the moment it was released, and the planet-like Pokemon, grinning, used it's attack to capture the two would-be-thieves, tying them up as they cried out in alarm while dropping the case and fell into their butts, grunting and struggling to escape, but it was futile.
"Now, what was that you said about us not being able to catch you?" Jessie mocked, smirking.
Mission Accomplished.
Five minutes later, after calling the authorities who took the two men into custody, Reno held the case in his hands while he, Jessie, James and Meowth watched the thieves being taken away with another mission success. Since arriving in Midgar due to Xehanort sending them away to stop them from interfering with the War, they had been stranded and since they had nowhere else to go, thanks to the red-haired Turk, they had been made members and used their skills as well as listening instructions by going on successful mission after successful mission for the past five months.
"Another day's work. You guys did great today, blockin' them off like that. Ya keep that up, and a raise will be headin' your way in no time flat." Reno praised proudly at his old friends and new co-workers.
"A raise?" Team Rocket asked, not having expected that, given their history of failures when they were criminals themselves. Though they had been growing to be heroes themselves since teaming up with the Sailor Team and now, to their delight, they did much better being good guys and managed to do their job properly.
"Do you know what those lovely words Reno just said means!?" Jessie squealed happily as she and her friends were now excited.
"He's practically saying that we won't be rookies anymore and we've done such a good job!" James said, half-thinking that this was a dream too good to be true.
"All our hard work has finally paid off." Meowth moaned happily.
"Yippee! We're getting a promotion! Yeah!" The trio cheered, just as Wobbuffect emerged from his pokeball randomly, muttering his name.
Reno just laughed, really proud of them. In their short time as Turks, Team Rocket have already proven themselves due to their experiences and already usual skills. He was pleased to have brought them in. As he was smiling, his PHS then went off and he quickly answered.
"Reno speaking..." The redhead responded, and listened in while expecting, to his annoyance, another mid-night job. But what he heard made him lose all proudness and success as he was turning more pale in horror, listening in and exclaimed. "What!? You serious?...Got it. We'll be right there."
The Team Rocket trio heard this and quickly became confused, then grew concerned just as their superior and friend hang up before he went right down to business with a serious yet alarmed expression. "Looks like promotions gonna have to wait. Boss wants us back at HQ ASAP for an emergency."
While none of them had any idea what was going on, each of them knew that it was very urgent that they would get back to HQ immediately. Reno lead Jessie, James and Meowth to the Board Meeting room where Rufus ShinRa himself was already seated, stood by Tseng, the Director of the Turks, Rude, Reno's partner and best friend, holding a brotherly bond, and Elena, the top agent of the Turks and secretly Tseng's lover.
Surprisingly enough, a reborn Reeve Tuesti, the current head of the re-established WRO, was also in the room and from the looks on everyone's faces, the situation was really bad. A projecter and large computer screen were set up waiting.
"Ah, good. You made it." Tseng greeted, relieved to see the rest of his Turks arrive on time, which for Reno, it was for once.
"Boss, what the hell's goin' on?" Reno demanded, already on edge. "You were vague when ya mentioned the "huge disaster" comin' and it's already drivin' me crazy!"
"Our Comissoner Reeve Tuesti has discovered something very alarming, and if he is correct, it poses as a threat to the Realm of Light." Rufus spoke up before the Head Turk could answer, causing everyone to gaze at the President who then turned to Reeve and gestured him. "Please explain."
"Of course, Mr. President." Reeve nodded, going over to the computer and typed down the key strokes which on the projector, an image has shown a huge newly built satellite viewing the Realm of Light itself, while another image is showing a picture of a large asteroid, much to the shock of the Turks. "This is the threat of the Realm of Light. Although it seems nothing more than an average Meteor, it's size is just as large as that as the one Sephiroth summoned a little over 8,000 years ago, and given the unusual readings, it could destroy not just one world should it hit, but also the entire realm as we know it."
Everyone let out a horrified gasp. A Meteor capable of destroying the entire Realm!? How was that possible? Reno, Rude, Elena, Jessie, James and Meowth all shared terrified and concerned looks, wondering how this could have happened and how anyone could stop that thing.
"That's not good." James murmured, terrified.
"Since when are meteors ever good?" Meowth pointed out, worriedly.
"This is worse than that stupid Keyblade War that old jerk Xehanort caused." Jessie murmured, rubbing her arms while feeling goose bumps run along her arms and spine.
"Where is it heading?" Tseng questioned.
"Well, while it's no where near us, it has a direct point to a world where it has strong readings that could be the very source that will make the most damage." Reeve explained, before fiddling around the controls and the images changed to view three planets which two seem to be nearly invisble as he continued. "While these two worlds are invisible to the human eye within the one in the middle, which we know is Earth, these two worlds are still linked to it. The one the Meteor is heading towards to has readings of life of not just humans, animals or Pokemon, but magic that isn't Materia directed or even fully linked to Kingdom Hearts."
As the group gazed solely at the image, Team Rocket instantly recognized them and gasped loudly in shock before racing over to the projector, realizing where the Meteor was heading towards to as their hearts dropped into their stomachs.
"Hey, wait a second! I know that planet!" Jessie exclaimed.
"It's the Fairytale World!" James cried out.
"Where the Sailor Twerps live!" Meowth added, before becoming uncertain as he lowered his gaze. "Or used to live if they died after beatin' Xehanort and Chaos."
Even that they had ended up in Midgar before Sailor Moon and her friends could defeat Master Xehanort and the back-up power of Chaos within his heart, while given they were all still alive and all worlds were still intact, Team Rocket had been very worried about their former enemies. So much so that despite that the war was obviously won, as Serena had the power of Cosmos within her heart and the Silver Crystal, they were not certain if she and other members of the Guardians of Light were still alive. Especially since they had witnessed the 'deaths' of Kairi and Tuxedo Mask and thus fully unaware of what really happened.
"Wait. You actually been there?" Elena asked, surprised.
Flinching as the trio realized they still had yet to reveal all of their encounters in the last two years, Team Rocket looked back at their superiors and colleuges, embarrassed over the slip with sweat drops.
"Well, the thing is..." Jessie began, sheepishly.
"We kinda accidentally discovered it with the Twerps almost three years ago." James explained, also sheepish.
"And since then, it's been kinda like a second home to us before Xehanort sent us here. Thing is, we're not sure if the Sailor Twerps are still there or not since that old guy sent us before they could beat 'im." Meowth concluded sheepishly.
Reno groaned, becoming annoyed and frustrated over this. "Great. So we don't have a damn clue if they're aware of that giant rock headin' their way or not. I mean, sure those kids have been lucky in the past, but it's like you guys said; Bhuni-whatever-his-name-is was just as dangerous as Omega and Sephiroth put together."
"Even with the power of Cosmos, there's no guarantee on Sailor Moon's survival." Rude added grimly.
"I do not believe we should come to that conclusion." Tseng pointed out firmly. "Sailor Moon and Cloud have been killed in the past but were brought back to life within the Lifestream by Aerith and Zack. Unless we know for certain, there must be a way to inform them of the danger or at the very least confirm whether they and their allies are alive or not."
"Easier said than done, sir." Jessie grumbled.
"Our Gummiphones the King gave us have been smashed into pieces." James groaned.
"And our new phones ain't Universal-Network type either." Meowth shrugged while holding up his PHS from his pockets to show the obvious.
"And we don't have a clue on how to get back there either." The blue-haired man added.
"The only way to do that is the Sailor Twerps which again brings us right back to square one." The pink-haired woman concluded, folding her arms.
"Perhaps there is a way." Reeve spoke up, after a moment of silence, which caused everyone else to look up at him in confusion.
"What do you mean?" Rufus asked, curiously.
"I sent out Cait Sith the other day to investigate Midgar Ruins when there were readings of some sort of unusual activity within the old ShinRa Building and come acrossed with an usual readings that may be a portal to another world. I do not know if it will help in locating the "Fairytale World" but perhaps it may at least give us a start." The Commissoner explained.
"Do you think it can work?" Elena asked, a bit of hope rising in her voice.
James though was still not optimistic about this. "Uh, not to be a pessimist, but what if it just takes us to a random world and we find ourselves stuck there?"
Even Reno was in agreement with the idea. "Yeah, that kinda just screams a one-way-trip if ya' ask me. I sure as hell never been to another world before. No offense and I know that Cloud and Tifa do it constantly, but that sort of adventure is scary to me."
"The scariest place you really don't wanna go to is the Realm of Darkness and the Keyblade Graveyard is the second scariest." Meowth pointed out, shuddering over the memories of said two places which he hoped to never go back to ever again, even in his nine lives.
"Well, either way, I believe it should be investigated." Rufus decided, knowing that time was already running out and unless they had another solution, there were no other optains left. He turned to his Director and ordered. "Tseng, I want you and the Turks to go see where it leads. I will accompany you along the way."
While Tseng had been expecting to investigate via orders, he and everyone else did not expect the President to accompany them to a place that could be potentially dangerous.
"Sir?" The Wutaiian Turk questioned.
"I refuse to stand by and hide like a coward and while I do not know how useful I will be, there must be something to be done at least." The blonde haired man said firmly, standing up as unlike his cowardly and lazy father, he was trained to defend himself and be on the move when necessary. He believed that a leader should not only give out orders, but also take part in action in certain events.
Despite that his Turks were all uncertain as the President's safety was their number one priority, given his voice had 'and that's final' tone, they knew better than to argue.
"Yes, sir." Tseng nodded, before turning to all six of his Turks and ordered. "Be ready to depart in fifteen minutes and board the helicopter."
"Yes, sir." The Turks responded smartly.
"Reeve, I will leave you to safeguard Headquarters until we return." Rufus informed the Commissioner, knowing that Tuesti is the man to be trusted given his loyalty to his allies with good hearts, especially the young heroes in the past who have saved the Realm of Light many times.
"Consider it done." Reeve promised.
With that thought in mind, the President and the seven Turks headed out the door to begin their new mission.
Half an hour later in the darkness of night and landing the helicopter just near the original ShinRa HQ building, Rufus, Tseng, Reno, Rude, Elena, Jessie, James and Meowth, with flash-lights in hand, all slowly and carefully crept into the fern covered building over the years of greenery growth both within and outside of the building.
"This place keeps gettin' creepier everytime I come here." Reno whispered, already on guard.
"It's like how a jungle grew within the large house in that Jumanji movie." James whispered, nervously.
"Be alert." Tseng firmly ordered, and the other Turks nodded, and slowly and carefully looked around for clues on the so called portal that Reeve told them about.
The place was worse than a dump. The entrance and stairs were slowly being rotten away and covered with plants, moss and leaves, insects and other creepy crawlies crept silently, rats scattered along as everyone carefully stepped their way around, slowly heading towards the elevator.
"Are we sure Reeve's little cat robot didn't have a glitch or something?" Jessie asked, skeptically as she couldn't find anything that looked like a portal.
"I'm starting to have my doubts too." Elena muttered in agreement.
"Cait Sith has had an upgrade last week, so I doubt that's the case." Rufus thought differently.
As the humans on the first floor were still searching around, Meowth had wandered up to the second where the two broken elevators were with the doors smashed open. Noticing something mysteriously glowing in green, the feline Pokemon frowned and decided to take a look.
"Maybe in here...?" He thought to himself, peering through to see.
All of the sudden as he got close, he saw something that, to his shock, could only describe as a portal, green like Lifestream, as though sensing his presence, suddenly began to suck Meowth in, causing him to scream in confusion and alarm.
"Huh?! H-hey, what's goin' on!? Help!" He cried out, causing his human friends and superiors to notice and gasped in shock, before they all quickly hurried to try and pull him out.
"Meowth!" The human Turks exclaimed.
"Hurry, grab him!" Jessie shouted.
"Hold on, Meowth!" James cried out, grabbing hold of his friend, while Jessie, Reno, Rude, Elena, Tseng and Rufus all grabbed onto James and each other to try and pull Meowth out without being sucked in themselves.
"Help me!" Meowth pleaded, terrified and not wanting to die so soon, or end up stranded on another world.
"What the hell is that thing!?" Reno grunted as he and the others struggled to hold on, which was, to their dismay, becoming a losing battle as the portal was too strong for them.
"I-I can't hold on!" Elena cried out, struggling.
Unfortunately, none of them could pull Meowth to safety, and instead were all pulled right into the portal as they screamed helplessly before vanishing into it, leaving behind the world of Midgar.
Wherever they would end up could be anyone's guess.
A/N: The next chapter will return to the Guardians of Light as they survey the damage, reunite with old friends and allies and will learn about the fate of the Realm of Light.
See you in the next chapter!
