Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Prince of Monsters and the Purple Lady. Enjoy the 4200-word chapter. I do not own Kibo, Hasbro and a few others do.
When Kipo saw the beginning of Crimson Bay? She was impressed by how much it reminded her of Las Vista but was different.
Far different as she drew closer and closer and seemed to look at it with some fascination within her for good and with some good reason.
The city was clearly upon the edge of a large ocean that seemed to enclose one side of the city. She noticed ships that seemed to litter the ocean, some working and some smashed to pieces… There were rows and rows of vines and flowers all over the hill upon which they stood. She could also see massive rows of vines and plants covering some of the further buildings as well as a wall of greenery the size of Girus.
"Home sweet home," Zil said, cracking his fingers before he hummed. "I wonder if…" Zil said before a shadow flew overhead.
Zil paused to look at a giant beast, a moth that dwarfed them and was as big if not a small amount bigger than Girus, rainbow-colored scales covered her wings and she looked as fluffy as a pillow. The beast had innocent green eyes which surged with energy as small little dewdrops flowed from her wings, feeding the plants below.
"Great… Mothra." Zil muttered before shaking his head. "Girus? Take Kipo to the HQ, I got to go talk with Ms. 'Lady of the Wind.'" Zil ordered before sliding down the hill and slowly walking towards the hill.
"So… Are most of you guys that big?" Kipo asked as Girus nodded.
"Yep… Zil is the biggest one… His dad is taller, he used to rule Crimson Bay before he went somewhere." Girus stated.
"Hey! Mothra! We need to talk, stop turning our bay into a foam latte!" Zil yelled as the giant moth huffed.
"As regal as ever, Zil," Mothra said in a gentle yet powerful voice.
"This coming from the giant Titan who is taking our airspace… I thought you were with Bara and Goro getting supplies." Zil said as Girus walked past them, Kipo on her shoulder.
"Hi!" Mothra heard from Kipo before it focused on her.
"Hello, human… Mind Zil. He is as powerful as he is annoying." Mothra stated as Zil snorted.
"More powerful than you, Ms. Lady of the Monsters," Zil stated before he crossed his arms. "Back to town. Every Titan, town meeting is called." Zil stated before he rolled his eyes.
"I'll get Bara and Ro… Gojo is busy playing with the Allie-Gators," Mothra said as Zil sighed.
"AGAIN!?" Zil asked, putting a hand to his face. "Fine, long as he does not do anything bad. We trade with them and they protect the oceans, I am not interested in fighting a bunch of mutated alligators to protect my home." Zil stated.
"There are mutes here…." Kipo said as Zil snorted.
"Yes, there are," Zil said before he paused and crossed his arms across his chest.
He sighed, he was utterly tired and willing to end it well and damn good now and not wishing to see anything.
The idea of it seemed to make him more amused with something for now before now while it could be dealt with for now and for good.
"This is where Zil was born," Girus stated before pausing.
"Yes, and it is also where a bunch of Humans and Mutes live… Girus, to the city. Mothra, boats… I hate being in charge." Zil muttered before he sighed and realized that such things would utterly be done.
Girus turned to Kipo who was on his shoulder. He paused to look at Zil who looked between the two titans before nodding.
"Hang on," Girus stated before kneeling and breaking into a gallop.
Kipo was about to say something before a burst of light surrounded Girus as the hybrid slowly began to grow taller and wider, his shell expanding into a massive spiky shape, his hands turning into paws and claws that could shred stone easily, his skin turned darker as the titan transformed fully into his regular form.
Kipo slowly felt herself from straddling the ground to almost hovering in the air, Girus galloped fast enough to keep up with her as a mute.
"Sorry, sometimes I don't carry things so I'd hold on," Girus stated, his voice a rumbling baritone as the titan carried Kipo to the city.
It was as they drew closer that she could see more of it. Some buildings seemed to be far larger, far bigger than what she had seen. Holes and cuts into the stone allowed vegetation that had seemed to be seen, Girus galloped towards a massive skyscraper amid the town which seemed to wrap into the sky like a sword.
Mothra seemed to head to it, flying to the roof where a giant flower awaited, dozens of shattered windows above allowed her to enter it hopefully soon enough.
"You better not wreck Titan Tower!" Zil's voice shouted as another voice cut in. "Snapjaw, we need to talk about what you are charging people… We had a deal." Zil stated, the end of his voice sounding like a deep hiss.
"Zil, don't transform, remember what happened last time, bud," Girus stated to which Zil sighed.
"I do not need to power up to deal with him. go tell Mothra to start her 'monthly recap.'" Zil stated before he sighed and walked off.
"Ok, Ms. Kipo… Goji usually has us drop people in the living rooms below… But I suppose you can see one of our monthly meetings." Girus stated before he seemed to relax.
There were a few seconds of silence as Girus slowly shrank, his body transforming similarly to how she'd been in mute form.
"Anguirus? Does she want me to fly her to the meeting room?" Mothra questioned, pausing to look downwards.
"It is up to her, Mot. She is new here; I have never seen a purple lady here." Girus stated before tilting his head.
"Well, I have some friends showing up and I think they might want to see the meeting?" Kipo stated before Girus shrugged.
"Not my call, Ms. Kipo. It is Zil's. This is his home and he and his father ruled this land before now." Girus stated before there was a pause.
Girus led her up several flights of stairs, pausing only to think for a second about what was going on. Kipo noticed the stone was cracked but it was held together better than any building she had seen before.
"Attention all residents of Crimson Bay," Mothra stated through a speaker. "This is Lady Mot of the Titan Kaiju council… A meeting is being called, please meet in the town square as Prince Gojira will be speaking." Mothra stated before Zil's voice screamed out.
"ZIL! MY NAME IS ZIL OR ZILLA! DAMN IT, MOTHRA!" Zil stated before he sighed.
Kipo was led up a giant staircase, dozens of dozens of stairs awaited and he slowly carried her up them.
"Girus?" Zil asked before he looked at the titan who served as his second in command. "We have elevators, you know," Zil stated before he slowly strode towards one, pausing only to look at Kipo.
"Sorry, forgot. Kinda a rush, Zil." Zil heard as he shrugged.
Kipo watched as a limb tapped a button on the elevator, she paused to watch a muscular tail that looked like it could crush steel within it jut from Zil's back. He crossed his arms before an elevator opened and he stepped inside, pausing, turning, and smacking the button again with the limb.
"See you guys up," Zil stated before the doors slid closed.
"So… Zil is BIGGER than you and Mot?" Kipo asked to which Girus nodded.
"He is taller than me and Mothra… He has also got better control of his changes than me. His tail usually does not come out unless he is fighting. I haven't seen Zil angry in a while, it must be the humans who attacked last time." Girus stated.
Kipo frowned. She thought without Emila, humans all over the place were friendly and acting nice. The idea they were not and were still fighting people bothered her. She curled her fist and instinctively it turned into her jaguar hand.
This, however, did not go unnoticed by Girus who beamed at the sight.
"YOU'RE A TITAN TOO!?" Girus yelled, making Kipo blink as she realized they now knew she was a mute.
(With Zil and Mot)
"Do you constantly have to make it sound like the most ridiculously over the top?" Zil questioned before he paused, raising an eyebrow.
"I thought as king of the Titans and as ruler of Crimson Bay? It would have been different." Mot said innocently as Zil sighed.
"You are an evil woman, Mot," Zil muttered before he sighed. "Where are Bara and the others? I thought all of us agreed to meet back here when we escaped from Apex and their last attempt to destroy us." Zil stated as Mot hummed.
"Some are still coming… The last time they sent the beast after us…" Mot stated as Zil's eyes glanced with energy.
"I will kill the hidden one if it comes back… Or if its friends find us, Mot," Zil said before he sighed. "Get the meeting started, we're done with this," Zil stated before he paused, relaxing for now as he seemed to try and pause.
Zil hummed before he sighed and relaxed more and more, utterly unsure of what to try and deal with for now. it seemed to be bothering him before he looked at the Titan Hybrid.
"We were worried when Apex caught you. We thought you were dead." Mot stated before Zil hummed.
"I told you to run, I was going to handle it…. And I did, you know what I can do when I don't hold back." Zil stated before leaning on the wall.
"It does not mean turning yourself into the bait," Mot stated before she sighed and leaned on the wall. "I know what happened to your father… Are you still blaming yourself for that?" Mot stated before she turned to Zil.
Zil was going to speak only for the elevator to open, Girus carrying Kipo in his hands.
"SHE'S PART TITAN!" Girus yelled loudly enough the window almost shattered and both alpha Titans winced.
The table, already cracked and the trunk of a fallen tree, cracked further with bits of stone and rubble flying out the windows, stone, and plaster rained down but the tower did not break.
"Ow," Zil stated before he paused and rubbed at his ears. "Girus? What do you mean she's a titan? What does that mean?" Zil questioned before he raised an eyebrow.
"Show him your power, Kipo!" Girus yelled, setting her down.
"Uh…." Kipo stated before holding out her hands which transformed into giant paws, claws extended.
"Wha…?" Zil asked as Mot slowly yet surely flew over to her.
"Hmm, she is not entirely human. I can sense SOMETHING in her." Mot stated to which Zil blinked, his tail swishing back and forth.
"I mean, her skin is purple and pink so I guess I should have sensed something," Zil said before he blinked.
"Uh, I'm part jaguar?" Kipo stated as both Titans looked at her.
"I sense a bit more than that inside you, dear," Mot stated before she paused.
"She isn't fully human…" Zil stated, muttering the last bit. "Well, that is new," Zil said before Mot rolled her eyes.
"Do you ever stop disliking humans?" Mot stated before Zil paused and looked to the side.
"You know why I dislike humans for what they did to us, Mot," Zil said before he turned to Kipo. "You are not fully human? I don't smell titan in your blood, and yet? I smell something that ain't human or mute in you." Zil said before crossing his arms.
"Forgive Gojira, he's still busy nursing a dislike for his past," Mot stated before she paused. "If she is ANYTHING like us, Apex is going to come after her, they want people to like us and she is special," Mot stated before Zil sighed.
"Maybe we can discuss this after we aren't busy deciding on if a war is coming," Zil stated before he sighed and looked to the ground, pausing for a moment to yawn.
He looked at the ground, his blue eyes pulsing with energy. Kipo couldn't even tell if he was mute but it was clear without a single glance he was beyond human with his scaly skin and blue glowing eyes.
"I am guessing you aren't going to go into the 'humans hurt titans so I don't like humans?' speech?" Mot asked as Zil sighed.
"She is welcome to stay if she's going to be a pain to Apex… But we should talk about our powers AFTER I handle something." Zil said before he paused.
He walked to the shattered windows, gripping the speaker from before in his clawed hands and thumbing the power button for now.
"I know your all listening, all of you listen when we show up because we're big and strong," Zil stated, walking to the edge. "Anyone who isn't a newbie? Apex is coming and like I ALWAYS do? I am going to fight them. The humans who shoot me constantly and make more guns with my home to shoot me with." Zil stated before he seemed to relax more and more.
"If this is going to be a war? You are going to fight, you are living in my father's home, using my father's resources… Anyone who doesn't want to help is welcome to leave… And for those new mutes? Please report to Mot, she will give you things to do." Zil said before Girus frowned.
"Well, if humans aren't happy with us…" Girus started to say before Zil paused to look.
"They can be mad if they want, Girus. We're at war and we don't have time to play nice." Zil started to say as Mot hummed.
"I get humans tried to kill us, but we don't need to constantly lock heads with them," Mot said before Girus hummed.
"To be fair? Zil constantly keeps fighting for them even if he says that… But you can't blame him for being a little grumpy, Mot." Girus stated before Zil sighed.
"Mot? You said you sensed something?" Zil stated before he paused and looked downwards at the ground.
"Yes… Kipo, you aren't fully human at the time being?" Mothra asked before she paused and looked at Kipo.
"Uh… Kinda?" Kipo stated before Zil hummed.
"Well, I've never heard partly mute and partly human," Zil said, rubbing at his chin as he did so.
"Well, we have not gone outside the city, Zil," Mothra stated before she paused to yawn.
"Maybe… But Kipo doing that reminds me like this." Zil said before he grew his tail, his claws jutting out of his hands.
"Why do you guys call yourself titans anyway? What's a titan?" Kipo asked before Zil hummed.
"Giant monsters, ones as you saw with me and Girus, dear… A level above Mutes, a creature that will surpass mutes several times. I think you might be close to one." Mot stated before Zil rubbed at his nose.
"Maybe, but we haven't seen another titan in several years since we were younger, Mot," Zil stated before he paused to look out the window.
"Maybe, but we don't know what is going on everywhere else is from… Kipo? Where are you from?" Kipo paused to look downwards at the ground.
Zil paused and hummed to relax… He paused, looking at the window before looking at Kipo. He wanted to relax and he could not care for now.
She didn't know him, he didn't know her, neither was focused on the other and yet he acted as best he could. He would not wish to rest until he found the depths of his power. Yet? he could tell she was not fully human, the pink skin and eyes and the fact she moved faster and stronger than most humans clued him in.
However, this meant trying to find something out… Something to see and to do, something to relax and find peace within. An idea that he seemed to keep growing more and more as he paused to look downwards at the time being.
There was a LOT more to see and understand before he paused to seem to keep relaxing for now. There was just something else to keep growing more and more with each little idea.
She paused to keep cutting through such ideas before she paused to keep growing for now… A lot more chaotic to try and deal with for now.
"Are you ok?" Zil heard from Girus before he sighed and fell back into the chair next to him.
"No. I don't know what to try and deal with for now." Zil stated before he sighed. "Mot? You explain the titan science stuff, I've got to think about what to do when Apex shows up on our front door and I have far more soldiers to fight than we have on our side." Zil stated before he rolled the chair away.
"Aw, I forgot the spin chairs!" Girus stated before he slammed down into a chair which almost snapped.
"Relax, Girus," Zil said before he rubbed at his temples. "Mot? You're the nature science expert of the team… What do you mean she smells different." Zil stated before he hummed.
"Yes, she is," Zil stated before he sighed and then seemed to keep growing tired with it all.
Mot turned to look at Kipo, guessing that she was far nicer than most people. Zil was not as grumpy to her before now and it was clear the prince of the city and titans was worn down by the task of trying to be two things he was not.
Mot saw at least part of the heart he pretended to believe didn't exist was showing itself. He didn't like people living in Crimson Bay but he defended it for the best and that meant defending the rest of the people in here, this wasn't going to be done at the time.
He would be dealt with it for now, he paused and he kept growing more and more with each little turn upon them for now as it seemed to cut at the moment before he cracked his fingers.
This made him now wish to keep growing in power and control for now at that time before relaxing as he cracked his fingers before he looked downwards.
They would not be done with for now and he paused to keep thinking about what to try and figure something out. He sighed and then looked downwards before he cracked his fingers, pausing to himself and smiling, and then looked upwards and into the sky.
He yawned, looking upwards and into the sky, utterly thrown to the side before he relaxed and leaned back in his chair. He rubbed at his temples and then leaned back, almost collapsing into the ground.
Kipo looked at him, noticing his eyes were filled with energy from before. She paused to fall silent, utterly relaxed and utterly thrown off for now, and now he was just too damn tired and too relaxed for now.
He turned away from her, glancing out into the sunset before he relaxed, calming himself for a few seconds and he felt tired and utterly relaxed.
"Hmm. I am convinced she is rather fascinating." Mot said before Zil rolled his eyes.
"She ain't a science project, Mot," Zil said, planting a hand on his temples as he did so. "Sorry, Kip. She's rather silly when it comes down to it, she acts a lot like a mom and a guardian when it comes to it." Zil stated to which he crossed his arms.
He felt tired, exhausted, and ready to collapse from a long day and he wished to be like this. He would not want to be like this, he wanted to be taken care of it and he knew it at this moment.
"And I'm sorry Zil is acting silly when it came to it," Mot said as Zil rolled his eyes. "There is a lot to go through, maybe I should take you where you can wait for your friends? The harbor? I'll greet them, Zil will spend most of that time tired." Mot put in.
Kipo paused to look at Zil who had his back on her. He took a deep breath and then turned.
"Let her and her friends stay in the guest rooms for now. I still have to wait for the others to show up and relax. I can't do anything with this damn headache I have and I'm too tired to go anywhere right now." Zil said before Mot chuckled.
"See, you do have a heart," Mot responded as Zil paused.
"Very funny, Mot," Zil said and turned to Girus. "There's a lot of things on my brain, I don't want to relax before it's finished," Zil stated before he sighed.
"I will handle it," Mot said before Zil crossed his arms.
"If she's like us? We have a LOT to talk about." Zil said before he gestured behind him. "The others aren't even here yet," Zil stated before he closed his eyes and looked downwards at the ground.
He was unsure of what to keep dealing with and he wanted to keep growing, keeping getting more and more powerful with each second, he lived for now and for it all to keep growing again and again.
Zil pondered if there was anything funny to be had with the new information. He had a war on his hands, this odd human woman, and a massive litany of problems knocking at his door.
"Still have to talk to the Alley-Gators," Girus said as Zil nodded.
"Then you and I can deal with that," Zil stated before he paused to relax before he hummed.
"I want to see the Alley-Gators!" Kipo yelled as Zil chuckled, amused.
"Sure, you can meet the giant alligator and crocodile mutes that scare people half to death," Zil said before he paused to look over at Mothra. "Like I said, guest rooms… Kipo? How many buddies are you going to have?" Zil stated before he sighed.
"I'll deal with it," Mot stated. "Can you send the others to talk with me when I get down?" Mot asked as Zil hummed.
"Yes. I have to talk to Girus about what to do next." Zil stated before he leaned back on the wall.
Mot nodded and then led Kipo towards the elevator, Zil sighed and then looked over to Girus before he blinked. "You think she's a titan, Girus? I've never heard of a half mute lady." Zil stated before he yawned and looked to the ground.
"There's a lot more stuff we got to find out, I guess," Zil stated before he clicked his tongue.
"You think she's the lady from that weird painting?" Girus asked.
Zil remained silent, his thoughts turning to the idea while he blinked to look downwards.
(With Mot and Kipo)
Mot fell silent, utterly relaxed around Kipo who blinked, rubbing at his arms.
"So, he doesn't like humans," Kipo stated.
"Titans and humans have a LOT of bad blood before the world fell apart, Zil is the son of one who got hurt a LOT by humans," Mot said before she hummed. "He's a lot nicer than he looks if he wasn't? He would have forced every person out of the world." Mot said.
Kipo blinked before Kipo hummed and she looked downwards before Mot coughed.
"There is a lot more to the story than you think." Mot paused before she seemed to keep speaking.
"I have 2 friends coming," Kipo stated as Zil nodded before she looked downwards at the ground. "I do want to see the Alley-Gators," Kipo stated before she sighed to keep looking downwards.
Mot paused to guess while she seemed to keep growing more and more with something else. This woman was something else before she hummed and relaxed again and again before she seemed to grow more and more tired with something to deal with.
Mot paused to keep growing for now as she would. She wanted to be done and dusted before she kept moving, cutting through the bile and waste… Whatever would be done was going to be over and it would end… Just as all things would and could happen.
She just did not see how it would all click into place, not without a struggle or plan.
