Chapter 11

Lucy decided to wear her new skirt and off the shoulder shirt she had bought earlier that day. She called out Cancer, to do some beach waves. Once she was finished, she decided to go downstairs and see if Freed was ready. She was excited to have an indoor picnic with him.

Freed was sitting in the living room waiting for Lucy. He was ecstatic about having the indoor picnic, it felt more intimate. He had moved his coffee table out of the way and set up a blanket on the living room floor. He also set up the food that they had picked up on the way home. He would help her in any way he could to get through the ordeal she had gone through. I would do anything for her. He was brought out of his thoughts by Lucy walking down the stairs. His eyes widened with how beautiful she looked.

"Lucy, you look beautiful!" Freed got off the couch and walked over to her. "I have everything set up for us."

"Thank you Freed; you look handsome as always."

"Would you like to watch tv or a movie while we eat, or wait until after?"

"That sounds good to me. I hope you enjoy your dinner. The Alfredo pasta is one of my favorites."

"It smells amazing." She said and took a bite of her food. "Oh wow! This is some of the best Alfredo I've ever had!"

"I'm glad you like it." Freed said and took a bite of his food. "What other types of food do you like?"

"I really like Thai food. The flavors they have are amazing. I also like anything with strawberries. What about you?"

"What types of books do you like to read?"

"Books on history, lore, lost magics, and fantasy."

"I really enjoy fantasy, smut, and mystery/thrillers. We should read a book together and talk about it. Would you want to do that with me?"

"I would like that." He smiled. They finished eating in a comfortable silence. "Lucy, would you like to become my partner and join the Thunder Legion? I wanted to ask you before speaking to Laxus about it."

"You would really want me for a partner and to join Thunder Legion? I'm not as strong as you all are."

"Lucy you are strong. I was also thinking that if you would like, we could all help train you in hand-to-hand combat. Bickslow would be able to teach you some acrobatic things that could help you get away if needed."

Lucy smiled, "I would love to be your partner and join Thunder Legion, but only if the others agree as well. I like the idea of training. Let's talk to them about it tomorrow?" Freed nodded.

They continued to talk about anything and everything they could think of. Freed told Lucy how his magic was learned, much like hers was. The more they talked Lucy found out that he was sweet, caring, and had a sense of humor. Lucy told him about all the keys she had, and how Aquarius was her first spirit, and got it from her mother.

Freed got up to grab their desserts out of the fridge. They both got cheesecake, Lucy's had strawberries on it. Freed's was just plain. After they ate desserts, they decided to change into their pajamas, and watch a movie. Lucy put on a pair of dark green sleep shorts that stopped just below her butt, changed her bra for a sports bra, and a dark green tank top. She put her hair up in a messy bun and put on a pair of fuzzy socks. She looked in the mirror and hated seeing the scars on her legs and arms, but she wanted to get through what happened and accept her scars. She headed downstairs to the living room, feeling shy. She was nervous that he would look at her in disgust. He turned to when he heard her come into the room, he could only stare at her. She is so breath taking. Freed you are a lucky guy, to have someone as sweet and gorgeous as her. Lucy blushed when he kept staring at her.

"Should I change? I don't want to make you uncomfortable." Lucy whispered.

Freed shook his head, "You don't need to change, I was just thinking how beautiful you look like that. Come sit with me, I have everything ready, just tell me what movie you would like to watch."

"Would you watch the new Beauty and the Beast movie with me?" she asked shyly.

"Of course. It's the live version, right?" Freed said with a smile. Lucy smiled back, and she noticed that he looked good in sweatpants and a t-shirt. Once the movie started, they decided to curl up on the couch to watch the movie.

"Thank you for today Freed. I'm sorry that I couldn't handle going out to eat with you."

"You're welcome, Lucy. It's okay, I really enjoyed this." They continued to watch the movie, and Lucy started to sing along to a song;

"Lucy, your voice is amazing." Freed was very surprised with her voice and would have to get her to sing again sometime. Lucy blushed at the complement. She looked to see that he was looking at her with admiration in his eyes. She couldn't help but smile. She leaned in and kissed his cheek. He was shocked, but quickly got over it and gave her a soft kiss on the lips. She blushed but smiled at him.

"Thank you for watching the movie with me. I've seen it before but have been wanting to watch it again. You really think my voice is amazing? I was always told I sounded horrible."

"I was actually surprised with how good it was." Lucy and Freed cleaned up the dishes from their dessert, and then decided they should get some sleep with how late it was. They said good night to each other, and both went to sleep with smiles on their faces.
