Nica was excited for this opportunity. She knew that it wasn't a done deal. That it was just an interview. She just wanted to have the chance to get the job. She had to be optimistic about things though.

She had her file ready for him. With all her credentials inside.

She would admit, he was even more handsome in person. But he looked so tired. She had heard about the death of Ana Grey. Nica felt so bad for him and the children.

Nica smiled as she handed Christian her file. Allowing him to look at her credentials in peace. Watching him as he looked it over. "You're CPR certified?" He asked as he saw it in the file. "Yes I am." She told him.

She sat with her back straight, as he kept reading threw the file she handed him. "How long have you lived here in the US?" He asked her. "One year and three months." She answered. She was so nervous. She needed this job.

After a quiet and tensed moment, he closed her file and looked her in the eyes. "So. Why should I hire you?" He asked. "Why does anyone apply for a job. They either need the money or really love what they are applying for." Nica said bluntly. She turned red and cleared her throat.

"I'm sorry. I tend to be rather blunt." She told him, cursing herself mentally. Christian couldn't help but feel amused by her bluntness. "And what is YOUR reason for being here Miss James?" He asked her with a slight head tilt.

"Do you need the money? Or do you like being a nanny?" He continued. "And please. Be as blunt as you want to be." He told her. She looked over at Grace, who gave her a small nod to continue, and then Nica looked back at Christian.

"Well. Who doesn't need the money? A lot of people need more money to survive. But I applied mainly for the reason of the children. While yes, I am in need of money, I care more about the children, and helping them get ready for the world out there." Nica explained.

Christian felt the truth in her words. She was telling the truth. She liked taking care of kids.

"I will give it some thought. And I will get back to you within the week." He told her. She nodded. "Of course. Thank you for seeing me today. I will leave you to go back to your work." She stood and held a hand out for him.

Christian stood as well, and took her hand. Nica giving him a firm handshake. "Let me walk you to your car dear." Grace told her, and walked her away from Christian.

Christian looked at his hand and the spot where Nica was just sitting. He hasn't felt this strange feeling since Ana. But it can't be. It's to soon to move on. He couldn't be. He didn't want to yet.

He clenched his fist and closed his eyes as he took some deep breaths.

"What did you think?" Grace asked when she returned. "I think she would be a good person for the job." She continued. "She looks similar to Ana." He mumbled. Grace gave a small frown at his words. While she could see the similarities Nica James had compared to Anastasia Grey. Nica wasn't Ana.

No one was Ana. No one can replace Ana.

But the kids need a motherly figure in their lives.

"You think on it." Grace said going to her son. She placed a hand on his back. "I will take the kids with me from daycare." She told him, before leaving him there to decide on Nica's future carrier.
