Tyson(narrating): 1185. Nearly five years have passed since the fall of Elysium, and war continues to plague the lands of Me-Hador. Yet I have found the cure for this injustice, and I intend to use every bit of it!

Camilla(sighs): Why am I even here? I know they won't come, but here I am anyway. How has it already been five years? Time stops for no one, I suppose. Huh? It's- It's you! What are you doing here?

Tyson: I came here for you.

Camilla: For me? Highly doubtful. So, you were alive. What have you been doing all this time?

Tyson: Let's just say, I had a little help getting back on my feet.

Camilla: Oh. That is beautiful, and I highly acknowledge that. All that matters is this: Will you return to the Empire with me?

Tyson: I'm sorry, but I can't.

Camilla: As expected. I knew your answer before I had even asked the question. That means... we're enemies now, you and I. Mr. Tyson, the time for discussion has come to an end.

Tyson: You took the very words from my mouth, just like you took my brother!

Camilla: Ha, I must admit, you are getting quite experienced with that Scythe. Even though our swords may cross as they do now-there's no denying that our chosen paths never will.

Tyson: Sorry, but mine is just getting started, Camilla!

Camilla: Camilla? Now, hang on there, scythe holder. Whoever said I was the real Camilla.('She' laughs)

Spelligan: No, that was a mere illusion. A sort of...parlor trick, if you would call it. Mr. Tyson, I am Spelligan, a master of illusion.

(Tyson gasps)

Spelligan: Aw, what's the matter? Not what you wanted, am I? Unfortunately, that's the end of this act! When next we meet, one of us will breathe their last.

Sampson: Who is it?! Is that- It's you!

Tyson: Hey! It's been a long time.

Sampson: Yes, it has been! But this is no time for casual chatter! After you disappeared five years ago, do you have any idea how dire the church's situation became? Where were you, and what were you doing all of those years? Then again, if that Scythe has anything to go by. Hmm, I too, am a little disappointed that we caught an impostor.

Tyson: And a good one at that, now that he's in control of Embarr.

Sampson: Well, right now, our pest problem needs some attention!

Tyson(narrating): The world I returned to seems to be in worse shape than I thought. In the Holy Kingdom of Kalos, Imperialist loyalist Madame Grisha has subdued all regions of the former royal house of Blaiddyd to prevent further revolt. Prince Kenneth has been sentenced. Now, the backbone of the former Kingdom–Houses Gautier and Fraldarius–struggle to continue the resistance. Grisha–operating out of the royal palace–has accepted the support of the Empire to build an army and plots to wipe out all remaining Kingdom forces. In the Evo Alliance, House Riegan leads an anti-Imperial faction, while House Gloucester directs the Empire's supporters. Despite the undeniable threat of fracture, the Alliance's adept new leader, Braddock, deftly maintains the outward appearance of a unified front. In Enbarr, the Imperial Capital of the Essena Empire, after his escape, Spelligan and his Blacklight Beasts have been tearing up uprising after uprising, and don't intend to stop In the meantime, the Knights of Seiros have been dispatched to find Archbishop Rhea, who remains missing despite their searching. Left unattended, Elysium has fallen to ruin…and become a haven for thieves.

Sampson: Looters deserve no forgiveness! After them!

Pax: What the… Intruders! Protect the goods!

Sampson: Stop the thieves! Retrieve our stolen goods!

(As the men dispose of a few warriors, Tyson notices some familiar faces)

Magna: We had no place to go so we came here. But then - Huh? Tyson?

Astro: Looks like there's a fight! I'm ready to join the battle!

Magna: Crytas, you were right. It is confirmed that Tyson is still alive. I will be...cooperating.

Drift: Tyson... You're alive after all. Well then, I am quite pleased with my choice to come here.

Archer: Kandan?! Never mind... We have to focus on winning this fight!

Crytas: Are we to stand around and watch or are we going to evict some bothersome bandits?

Forge: Sir, yes sir!

Sampson: Lend us a hand! Let's beat them back!

Crytas: Hold your pants on, dude. We're the best at what we do, and nobody slings mud on our reputation!

Pax: No! I'm not the one you want! Gah! I guess I've got no choice.

Gina: Got 'im!

Pax: Yes, the decoy worked! But, uh... It isn't looking good for us. Should we retreat?

Sampson: He has some treasure from the monastery too! Do not let him escape!

Crytas, Gina, and the Five Sentinels: On it!

Pax: Ah, you should yield me a tidy profit!

Gina: I'm no one's prize!

Pax: I thought it would be easy money… Maybe it wasn't…meant to be…

Sampson: That man used to be a merchant here at the monastery. He must have fallen on hard times to take up with those thieves... It seems we were able to expel the bandits who were hiding here. How fortuitous that you lot should gather at the monastery like this...

Magna: Tyson helped us with our work, so we're helping him here.

Crytas: Yeah. In fact, why don't you dudes come to Holy Haven with us.

Sampson: Of course. But first... Rhonda, look! The professor has returned to us!

Rhonda: Hm? What do you mean... Oh! Goodness! It really IS you, Professor! I cannot believe you are still of this world! We were so worried we would never see you again.

Tyson: What are you doing here?

Rhonda: I forgot something important at the Holy Mausoleum... I told my brother I had to go back for it no matter what, and so here I am...

Sampson: After we finished here, we were going to continue our search for Irma. But now that you are here, things have changed. We must not waste this opportunity.

Crytas: Allright. Okey-dokey! Let's get this show on the road! Astro, get the bags!

Astro: You got it.
