It happened again, another nightmare that left me in a pool of sweat. And it was the same dream again. The dream being of that thing, or person. A shadowy figure with a hooded cloak wrapped around its shoulders. The being emanates a dark purple aura around its body that consumes any heat around it. And a black dragon behind it with violet eyes emanating that same aura. Its mere remembrance gives me the chills despite being in my warm sheets in the hot climate of hell. At first, I think nothing of it, just somehow it being a coincidence of having the same nightmare three nights in a row. I stretched my body and let out a huge yawn and planned to go about my usual business at the Happy Hotel. But something stops me dead in my tracks.

As I lay up from my bed, I notice an unusual piece of metal on my countertop. I have no idea how I didn't notice it sooner. The metal piece is the only thing in my bedroom that isn't a variation of red making it stick out like a sore thumb. The metal is a rectangular block almost completely covered in black that bounces light off it like a crystal. On the front is a violet texture with a dragon on it, with two different phrases scraped into it, "descending dragon" and the larger intriguing one "ability: destroy".

It is at this point that the recurring nightmares don't feel like a coincidence anymore. Too many things are lining up that are too close for comfort. The color violet and the dragon from both the dreams and the piece of metal almost being one in the same raises so many questions. Questions like how did this get here, who is the man in the dreams, why am I experiencing this?

"Charlie!" I hear Vaggie while banging on the door to my bedroom. The slams bring me out of my internal thoughts. "Wake up, you're late for work!" she screams.

"I'm changing wait a minute." I reply. I quickly get into my work clothes and after a quick pause, I stuff the metal thing into my jacket's pocket. I open my room's doors only to be met with a minor shock from both Vaggie and Angel Dust.

"Wow your hair looks like shit" Angel remarks before getting an elbow to the gut from Vaggie.

"Is everything ok?" Vaggie asks me

"I don't want to talk about it" I respond with a stern look. "Now let's go."

As we leave my house and head to the happy hotel, I proceed to rapidly brush my hair inside the limo, so I don't look like I'm hungover while at work. After a couple of minutes, I finished putting my hair into my regular hairstyle. I then notice the unusual expressions on both Vaggie and Angel.

"So do you want to talk about what happened this morning?" Vaggie asks curiously.

"I told you I don't want to talk about it." I respond annoyingly. I would've left there but then I notice Vaggie having a small worried look on her face. I sighed and decided to tell the truth. "Look, the only reason I don't want to talk about it is because I don't really know what's going on, but here goes. For the past three days, I've been experiencing nightmares of this dark figure that's always accompanied by a black dragon, and this morning I found this thing in my room" I explain as I pull out the object out of my jacket. The metal brick piques both Vaggie's and Angel's curiosity.

"So, what is it?" Vaggie asks as she holds the objects in her hands.

"I don't know," I respond. "I have no idea what it's made of, who made it, or who brought it. All I know is that I didn't have it last night, and it was in my room this morning."

"How do you know it's not someone messing with you?" Angel asks while looking out the limo.

"That's a good question, but I don't know any demon who can mess with other demons' dreams."

"That's weird, almost as weird as the weather outside." Angel says as he points out the limo's windows.

"Wait what?" both Vaggie and I respond. We both lean towards the door window and look outside. We were then met with an unusually large cloud over the nearest radio tower. Normally the dark clouds would be high above the red sky made from a black hue. But this one is abnormally low with a hint of a violet color. In my 140 years of being in hell, I've never seen anything like this, I could even see some imps and demons on the sidewalk near the street talking about it. I tell the driver to pull over and unlock the doors. As we step outside, we see a more detailed look of the cloud. It is pulsating violet and purple colors like a strobe light with the shape of a circle directly over the tower.

"Do you think this has anything to do with that thing?" Vaggie asks while pointing at the object.

"No doubt about it." I reply worriedly "it's not a coincidence that all of this is happen-" I say before being cut off mid- sentence with a huge headache. The headache is so strong that I collapse on the floor. That wasn't the worst of it. The nightmares I've had of that figure started coming back to me in rapid segments, along with the black dragon.

"Charlie what's wrong?!" Vaggie frantically asks as she picks me up from the floor. I rub my forehead trying to relieve the headache before the realization hit me like a truck.

"It's coming" I say before being interrupted by the sound of thunder. As we look above, we notice the cloud starts moving in a circular direction while a large chunk of it changes into the shape of a dragon head. Things escalate as the violet color of the clouds starts glowing brighter as it spins faster. Looking closer I notice a ball of violet and black energy forming inside the cloud growing bigger inside as each second passes. In an instant, a beam of energy flashes down from the ball to the ground while the dragon head from the cloud spirals down towards the ground before colliding into the floor. After a few intense seconds, the entire formation collapses in on itself before exploding with a huge gust of wind almost knocking everyone to their knees. In the center of it all was a small crater, and inside of that was a hooded figure unlike any imp or demon I've ever met. There was no question to it, it was the figure from my nightmares.
