"Cyber Energy Shock."

Chris screamed as the electricity coursed through her entire body. She was sent flying back as she crashed into the wall. A huge monster that was part machine stood over her as her life points dropped to zero.

"Get up." Said a voice. "Duel me again if you want to stop being weak."

Chris shakily stood up. "Yes… I understand…"

"I can't believe you're now with us, Miku!" Hibiki said, hugging her best friend.

"I can't believe it myself." Miku said, returning the hug.

The two of them were sitting in the Sector Two lobby's couches, Tsubasa was sitting by them, watching the two.

"So, how did you get scouted?" Tsubasa asked as they broke the hug.

"Oh um…" Miku rubbed the back of her head, a bit nervous since she was talking to her dueling idol. "It was during the last Noise attack…"

Miku was running for her life. A group of Noise and rogue Duel Monsters were chasing after her. She just wanted to see the meteor shower, why did this have to happen?!

She felt her legs give out as she tripped. She winced as she hit the ground. She scrambled to try and get up, but the monsters were upon her. She closed her eyes, regret seeping in that she didn't get to see the meteor shower with her friend.

Only to hear a clang. The rogue Duel Monster's attack was stopped. She opened her eyes to see a blocky stone warrior guarding her.

"What? What's going on…?"

"After that, I just kept running. The shelter wasn't too far." Miku said. "I was wondering what happened, when I was approached by some people that explained everything to me."

"So you were chosen by the duel spirits as well then." Tsubasa noted.

"I think so?" Miku said. "It's still so confusing. I got that special D-Gazer as well, and all of a sudden my cards changed after I followed the instructions."

Hibiki looked at her friend's deck. "Ooh, they have a neat mirror sheen on the Sun pattern. I can see my face in them!"

"I'm not sure if I'm exactly cut out for this." Miku admitted.

Tsubasa smiled at Miku. "It's alright, it takes time."

Miku shuffled in her seat for a moment, blushing, before pulling out a CD and pen. Tsubasa recognized herself on the cover. "Tsubasa-san, could you… sign my CD?"

"Huh?"

"Oh uh." Hibiki rubbed the back of her head while laughing. "Miku's a really big fan of yours. She was the one that introduced me to Zwei Wing in the first place."

Tsubasa chuckled, but signed the CD for Miku. Miku took it back, and was trying her best to fight down a high-pitched squeal. While she was fangirling over it with Hibiki, Tsubasa received a call.

"Hello? …Ah, I see. Thank you, Ogawa-san." Tsubasa hung up. "Kohinata, could I ask for a favor?"

"Of course!" Miku grinned.

"Why did I agree to this?" Miku said to herself.

She was standing on one end of a Dueling Arena in the center of an empty coliseum, Tsubasa at the other end. Both were in rather elaborate outfits that seemed to be literally sharp and defied the laws of gravity. She really should've just stuck with her school uniform.

"You can do this, Miku!" Hibiki cheered, as the only person in the stadium.

"So um… what are we doing here again?" Miku asked.

"It's a maintenance check." Tsubasa explained. "Ogawa-san's in the control room with some more crewmates, keeping an eye on things to make sure everything's running smoothly for a duel of mine later. We won't be using our D-Gazers for this."

"Okay, but why the outfits?" Miku asked with a sweatdrop.

"Think of it like a literal dress rehearsal, Kohinata." Tsubasa said, placing her deck down on her playing field.

"Well, forgive me for being a bit nervous, Tsubasa-san!" Miku said.

Seriously, she got to personally meet Tsubasa, get her autograph, and now she was dueling her in the same day. The whole time, Hibiki had watched it all unfold. How did this even happen?

"Just relax, Kohinata." Tsubasa said. "Normally Ogawa-san would duel me, but since the opportunity arose, it's only fitting that we duel, no?"

"I guess so." Miku said, placing her deck on her playing field as well. "I won't hold back, Tsubasa-san!"

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Tsubasa said.

"Kick her butt, Miku!" Hibiki cheered.

Tsubasa just stared at Hibiki.

"Erm, I mean… you do your best too, Tsubasa-san!"

"It's fine, Tachibana." Tsubasa chuckled. "You're well within the right to say that since you defeated me."

"Wait, you beat her in a duel, Hibiki?!" Miku called down to her best friend.

"The duel, Kohinata." Tsubasa reminded her.

"Ah-Ah, right!"

"Duel!"

The two drew 5 cards each, and Tsubasa took the first move.

"I activate the spell card, Six Samurai United!"

The continuous spell card flashed onto the field.

"Whenever a Six Samurai monster is normal summoned or special summoned, I can place a Bushido Counter on this card." Tsubasa explained. "Then I'll follow this up by summoning The Six Samurai - Yariza to the field!"

A blue samurai armed with a glaive appeared on the field.

"With that, Six Samurai United gains a Bushido Counter, but that's not all." Tsubasa said. "Using his effect, I summon Legendary Six Samurai - Kizan from my hand!"

A samurai with black and yellow armor materialized, drawing a thin katana.

"Six Samurai United gains a second Bushido Counter." Tsubasa said. "I set one card facedown and end my turn."

"Okay, my turn." Miku said. "Draw!"

She looked at the cards in her hand, then looked at Tsubasa's field. I can't make any real moves, so I'd better play it safe.

"I summon Destiny HERO - Diamond Dude!" Miku said.

A diamond encrusted warrior with a green cape shone onto the field.

Destiny HEROs? Tsubasa thought.

"I activate Diamond Dude's special ability!" Miku said. "I can excavate the top card of my deck. If it's not a normal spell card, I must send it to the bottom of my deck. But if it is a normal spell, I can send it to my graveyard and activate it on my next main phase."

Miku drew the card, smiling.

"I drew Over Destiny!" Miku declared. "Now I'll send it to the graveyard and activate it the next turn!"

"Already planning ahead?" Tsubasa asked.

"I'm not finished. I activate the spell card, Destiny Draw!" Miku said. "I'll discard one Destiny HERO monster in order to draw two cards. I discard Destiny HERO - Malicious!"

Miku put the card in her graveyard and drew two more cards.

"I'll set one card facedown and end my turn." Miku said.

Interesting maneuver. Tsubasa thought. "My turn, draw! I activate Six Samurai United's effect, and send it to the graveyard to draw two cards!"

The card shattered, and Tsubasa pulled two more cards from her deck. She smiled.

"I activate the ritual spell card, Black Luster Ritual!"

Miku gasped, while Hibiki whooped. The stone tablet and pots appeared once more.

"I sacrifice Kizan and Yariza to summon my most trusted partner; the Black Luster Soldier!"

The two samurai were sacrificed, before Black Luster Soldier jumped out of the tablet. Miku had a huge smile on her face.

"I'm actually fighting Tsubasa-san's ace monster…"

"Black Luster Soldier! Attack Destiny HERO - Diamond Dude! Chaos Blade!"

"Ah! I can't daydream!" Miku shouted, quickly flipping up her facedown card. "I activate my trap card, D - Shield!"

Diamond Dude took a knee, before a barrier formed around him and blocked the sword slash.

"D - Shield lets me switch a Destiny HERO monster in attack position to defense position, and by equipping them with this card, they can't be destroyed in battle." Miku said.

"So you avoided Black Luster Soldier's wrath for one round." Tsubasa said. "I end my turn."

"Draw! Now that it's my main phase, Diamond Dude's effect activates!" Miku said. "Using Over Destiny, I special summon Destiny HERO - Disk Commander from my deck!"

A blue and white warrior with CDs for wings and arm blades landed on the field.

"And then I banish Destiny HERO - Malicious from my graveyard, to special summon another copy from my deck!"

A demon-like warrior knelt down onto the field.

"And now I tribute Diamond Dude, Disk Commander and Malicious, to special summon, Destiny HERO - Dogma!"

All three of the monsters went up in purple pillars of light, which converged. The light faded away to reveal a huge winged warrior resembling a devil. It was armed with two sharp wrist blades, which wasn't for show considering it had…

"3400 attack points?!" Tsubasa shouted.

"That's one of Miku's strongest monsters! Go Miku!" Hibiki cheered.

"Then I normal summon Destiny HERO - Fear Monger!" Miku said.

A green jetlike warrior appeared on the field.

"Go! Dogma! Attack Black Luster Soldier!" Miku commanded. "Death Chronicle!"

Dogma charged up energy in front of his chest, before unleashing it straight at Black Luster Soldier, completely obliterating it and lowering Tsubasa's life points to 3600.

"And now, Fear Monger! Attack Tsubasa-san's life points directly! Black of Doom!"

Fear Monger aimed its arm cannon and fired.

"Trap activate! Return of the Six Samurai!" Tsubasa said. "This allows me to special summon one Six Samurai monster from my graveyard, but I must destroy it by the end phase!"

Kizan returned to the field, only to get blasted by Fear Monger's attack.

"I end my turn." Miku said. I can't believe I managed to land a successful attack on Tsubasa-san. I might have a chance!

"Draw!" Tsubasa said.

Before Tsubasa could make a move, Dogma shone with purple energy, which slammed right into her. Tsubasa could feel her life points drop.

"What-?!"

"Dogma's special ability." Miku explained. "Every time it's your standby phase, your life points get halved."

Tsubasa looked to see her life points were at 1800. She frowned, but didn't let it deter her.

"I set a monster facedown, and set another card. I end my turn." Tsubasa said.

"I draw!" Miku said. "I activate my trap card, D - Chain! Whatever monster gets equipped with this card gains 500 attack points, and whenever it destroys a monster in battle, you take 500 points of damage!"

Fear Monger gained a hooked chain, its attack points jumping to 1500.

"Fear Monger! Attack her facedown monster!"

Her monster swung the chain over his head multiple times, before throwing it at the facedown monster. It flipped up to reveal it was a purple ninja… with 1800 defense points.

"Sorry, Kohinata. But Secret Six Samurai - Fuma's defense points are a bit too high for Fear Monger to take out." Tsubasa said with a smirk.

Miku winced, as she lost 300 life points, dropping to 3700. But she kept on pushing through. "Dogma! Death Chronicle!"

Fuma went up in an explosion, but Tsubasa threw her arm forward. "Fuma's special ability! When he's destroyed by battle or card effect, I can special summon one Six Samurai monster from my deck. And I choose Secret Six Samurai - Genba!"

A samurai with belts of dynamite on his body appeared from the smoke.

"Wait, samurai used dynamite?" Hibiki asked.

"I end my turn." Miku said.

"Draw!" Tsubasa shouted.

The azure-haired duelist prepared herself this time, as Dogma's ability dropped her life points to 900.

"I activate my trap card, Double-Edged Sword Technique!" Tsubasa said.

The card flipped up, and Miku raised her brow.

"I special summon Yariza and Kizan from my graveyard."

Miku was still on edge. Double-Edged Sword Technique had a side effect of destroying the summoned monsters if they were still on the field by the end phase, and dealing all of their attack points as life point damage to Tsubasa. She had to be planning something if it was something this risky.

"I activate my spell card, Six Strike - Triple Impact!" Tsubasa shouted.

Miku gasped, as Genba, Yariza and Kizan all raised their weapons.

"Since I control three Six Samurai monsters, I can choose one of the effects. And I choose to destroy all of your monsters!" Tsubasa shouted, pointing right at Miku.

Bolts of energy shot from the three Samurai, annihilating Dogma and Fear Monger. Miku quickly did the math in her head. She had 3700 life points. Combining Tsubasa's three monsters brought the total up to 3300. She was safe from losing, and she still had a facedown.

"I'm tuning my level 2 Genba with my level 3 Yariza!" Tsubasa declared.

"What?!" Miku shouted.

"Synchro Summon?!" Hibiki shouted, eyes sparkling.

"Combining the wills and blades of two Samurai, bring their power as one to slash through the darkness!" Tsubasa chanted. "Synchro Summon! Legendary Six Samurai - Shi En!"

A mighty samurai of red landed on the battlefield, boasting a mighty 2500 attack points.

"Battle!" Tsubasa shouted. "Shi En! Kizan! Attack Kohinata's life points directly!"

The two samurai charged, brandishing their blades. But Miku reacted quickly.

"I activate my trap card! Mirror Force!"

A reflective barrier shone on Miku's side of the field.

"Mirror Force destroys every one of your attack position monsters when you declare an attack!" Miku shouted. "Now both of your monsters-!"

"Shi En's special ability activates!"

"Huh?!"

"Once per turn, when my opponent activates a spell or trap, I can negate and destroy that effect!" Tsubasa declared.

The Mirror Force barrier shattered.

"Continue your attack! Shi En! Kizan! End this duel!" Tsubasa shouted.

Miku held up her arms and shouted as the two samurai slashed, dealing 4300 points of damage and bringing her life points down to zero.

The duel arena pods lowered, and Tsubasa walked over to Miku, who was on her knees.

"You put up a good fight, Kohinata." Tsubasa said, holding out her hand. "You have the makings of a great duelist."

"It's an honor to hear that from you, Tsubasa-san." Miku said, accepting the hand.

"Waah, Miku! You were so close!" Hibiki said, running over.

"I know." Miku said. "I just need to train more."

"I'm sure you'll be able to beat Tsubasa-san in no time!" Hibiki said.

"I welcome that day." Tsubasa says with a nod.

"By the way… how did you beat her, Hibiki?" Miku asked.

Both Hibiki and Tsubasa suddenly looked a bit awkward.

"Let's not open that can of worms right now, ha ha…" Hibiki rubbed the back of her head. "Oh wait, Tsubasa-san, are you free right now?"

"Not for the rest of today, but I do have tomorrow off why?"

Hibiki and Miku shared a brief look and nod.

"Then let's go on a date!"

"Eh?"

Tsubasa looked at her watch. She was at the meetup spot, dressed in civilian clothes that hid her identity, but both Hibiki and Miku were absent. It was nearly thirty minutes past the time they had agreed upon. She frowned, did they forget?

Ah, no they didn't. They just rounded a corner, completely out of breath.

"Sorry, Tsubasa-san!" Hibiki apologized.

"We overslept, sorry." Miku said, bowing her head.

"We shouldn't waste time. Let's hurry." Tsubasa said, turning away to walk.

"Looks like she was really looking forward to it." Hibiki noted, catching her breath.

Tsubasa looked back with a blush. "I just want to get back the time we lost because certain people here were late!"

"Sorry, sorry!" Hibiki said, holding up her hands.

Normally, one would expect that on a girls day out, they'd go clothes shopping, correct?

Not for these three, as their first stop was a different sort of store.

"The weekend sale is on!" Hibiki was zipping around the Duel Monsters card displays like a kid in a toy store (which she basically was).

"Is she always like this?" Tsubasa asked. "She's acting like the other children present here."

Miku nodded with a laugh.

"What exactly do you do here?" Tsubasa asked.

"Wait, you never bought cards before?" Miku said, raising a brow.

"No, Ogawa-san does all my card shopping for me." Tsubasa said. "I usually do research myself online, before asking him to get the cards I require."

"Well, we make it a bi-weekly tradition to stop by here." Miku said. "We don't often purchase cards though, and focus more on window-shopping. We occasionally use the random card machine though."

She pointed at the large machine in the corner. Tsubasa saw there was a debit/credit card scanner, saying it was 200 yen per card. Curious, she walked over and pulled out her wallet.

"You're gonna pull for something, Tsubasa-san?" Hibiki asked, as she rejoined the two.

Tsubasa nodded, as she paid the machine. It rumbled and shook, making several beeps and boops before it stuck a Duel Monsters card out of a slot, face-down. She drew it carefully, before flipping it face-up.

There was a distinct shine, as Hibiki and Miku's eyes widened and their jaws dropped.

"C-Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End?!" Miku nearly shouted.

"That card will go great in your deck, Tsubasa-san!" Hibiki said.

Tsubasa smirked, but was still surprised at how good her pull was. It's been a while since luck was in her favor.

"I'm gonna try now!" Hibiki grinned, as she paid as well.

"Don't spend too much money, Hibiki." Miku said in a stern voice. "The last time you spent too much yen."

"50000 yen is not that much!"

The next stop was another unique one; the Duel Monsters Museum. It was a popular attraction that attracted duelists and non-duelists alike, as they looked at the history of how much Duel Monsters had changed the world. There were statues of both legendary duelists, as well as their ace monsters. Footage of iconic duels were playing on multiple screens throughout the exhibit. One of them was playing the legendary duel between Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba during Battle City.

"Nice try, Yugi. But you're no longer the top ranked duelist! What?! It's Red-Eyes Black Dragon! Where did that come from?!"

"If you recall, you used your Flute of Summoning Dragon to summon your Blue-Eyes to the field. But you may have forgotten your flute works on MY hand as well! So I owe you a thank you, for bringing out this card, which is a gift from a very close friend of mine, Kaiba!"

"So cool…" Hibiki said in awe.

"Do you look up to any legendary duelists, Tsubasa-san?" Miku asked.

Tsubasa looked at the various duelist statues as they walked along, before stopping at the statues of Team 5Ds. "Them."

"All of Team 5Ds?" Miku asked, curious.

"Seeing how several of them built themselves up from nothing is impressive." Tsubasa said. "I even modeled my own D-Wheel after Yusei Fudo's."

"I look up to Yusei as well." Hibiki grinned. "It's why I started using Synchro monsters."

"And judging from the fact that you use Destiny HERO cards, you look up to Edo Phoenix, don't you, Kohinata?" Tsubasa asked.

Miku nodded, looking at the statue of Edo. "Of all of Judai Yuki's rivals, he was my personal favorite. He used cards that contrasted the Elemental HEROs that belong to him, and he fought fate despite the types of cards he used."

"I see…"

They stopped at another one of the statues. It was of a young man, and behind him was the Red-Eyes Black Dragon.

"Katsuya Jonouchi." Miku recognized.

"...Kanade looked up to him as a duelist." Tsubasa said.

"She did?" Miku looked over.

Tsubasa let out a small sigh. "She admired how, despite the odds being stacked against him, with Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba always ahead, he never stopped. He was the underdog you'd always root for. His hard work paid off, and he's still recognized as the third greatest duelist in history."

Hibiki pulled out the Red-Eyes Black Dragon from her deck, looking at it as the sun pattern shone.

"I believe she saw potential like that in you, Tachibana." Tsubasa said. "Which is why she entrusted you with those cards."

Hibiki stared at the card, wondering if she was a worthy duelist to be Kanade's successor. She would've probably stared at it for the whole day, if not for her stomach grumbling.

"Oh uh…" She blushed, rubbing the back of her head.

"Come on Hibiki." Miku laughed. "Let's get something to eat."

Tsubasa rolled her eyes as she followed them. Her eyes briefly looked at the statue of Kaito Tenjo, with Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon at his side. They were facing down Yuma Tsukumo, who had Number 39: Utopia slashing forward.

They found themselves sitting at a food court. Miku had excused herself to the bathroom, leaving Hibiki and Tsubasa at the table. While eating her own salad, Tsubasa noticed Hibiki wasn't eating, and was just shuffling through her deck.

"Is something wrong?" Tsubasa asked.

"No, it's just…" Hibiki looked towards the washrooms, where Miku had gone. "I'm just worried."

"About…?"

Hibiki was fidgeting in her seat. "Miku joining us."

"Really?" Tsubasa said. "You seemed quite happy that your friend would be helping us. You looked like you had a huge weight lifted off your shoulders."

"Yeah, I am relieved, but… I'm worried about Miku." Hibiki said.

"She's a powerful duelist." Tsubasa said. "I'd imagine she'd manage to handle herself well."

"But-"

"Tachibana." Tsubasa reached forward, placing her hand on Hibiki's. "Being worried is a natural process, but it won't help. If you kept worrying, to the point that you don't pay attention to yourself, what happens when you slip up in a duel that means life or death?"

"I…"

"That's something Kanade told me once." Tsubasa said. "And I believe she'd say the same to you if she were here with us."

The Red-Eyes Black Dragon seemed to shine as Tsubasa's words reached Hibiki.

"Okay… I'll try. Thank you, Tsubasa-san."

Tsubasa nodded, and took her hand off Hibiki before Miku came back. "Besides, we still have a full day ahead of us, don't we? Show me more of the world you and Kohinata dueled in."

Hibiki smiled. "Of course!"

In a secluded mansion, a blonde figure walked through the halls, before noticing a certain door was open. Raising a brow, she walked in, to see there was broken glass all over the floor.

Looking into the glass case, the card she left there was gone.

She chuckled to herself, knowing who took it. There was no point in crying over it; she could easily recover it without much issue.

Hibiki and Miku were walking through a park. It had been a few days since their day out with Tsubasa. Hibiki was telling Miku about the time she dueled Tsubasa.

"So that's how you won." Miku said, as Hibiki finished the recap.

"Yeah." Hibiki rubbed the back of her head. "Not how I expected my first duel with Tsubasa-san to go, but that's how it happened."

"Do you think you can do it again?" Miku asked.

"No way!" Hibiki laughed. "That was when Tsubasa-san wasn't focusing and was using old cards. Now that she's back on the right track and has a better deck, I don't stand a chance!"

"I almost won." Miku reminded her.

"But Tsubasa-san still pulled an amazing comeback victory." Hibiki said. "You still lost."

"Are you rooting for me, or against me?" Miku pouted.

"Wait!" Hibiki started waving her arms around. "I didn't mean it like that! I mean… I meant… uh…"

All the worry disappeared as Miku smiled, indicating she had been merely teasing her. The two of them laughed together, as Miku calmed down first.

"Anyways, Hibiki-"

BWOOM

The two of them felt the ground shake, as smoke rose in the distance. Roars of Duel Monsters filled the air. They quickly put on their earpieces and contacted Sector Two.

"What's going on?" Hibiki asked.

"It's another Noise attack." Genjuro said. "The readings indicate it's the Nehushtan Duel Disk."

"Then that means…" Hibiki's eyes widened.

"Tsubasa is on her way. You two need to hold down the fort until then."

"Roger!" Hibiki said, as the comm link ended. "Miku, can you handle the Noise? I'll go stop Chris-chan."

Miku nodded. "You can count on me. Be careful, Hibiki."

They pressed their earpieces, as they shifted into the full D-Gazer headpiece. Hibiki stifled a laugh.

"What?"

"You… you kind of look like a stag beetle, Miku." Hibiki said with a smile.

Miku raised a brow, before tapping the virtual screen to see herself. Sure enough, there were two large purple horns on the side of her head, and a square visor that resembled jaws on her face.

"...I need to talk to Sector Two about the design." Miku said, without amusement in her voice.

Hibiki chuckled, before tapping the virtual screen and summoning Speed Warrior.

"Well, stay safe, Miku!" Hibiki said, as she hopped onto her monster's back and sped towards the explosion.

Miku sighed, before she pulled up the virtual screen again. She tapped three cards, just the Noise arrived with the rogue Duel Monsters.

"This'll be my first real fight against you…"

She tapped three cards, as the jaw-like design on her D-Gazer slammed shut.

"Come on! Drilldark! Celestial! Decider!" Miku shouted.

The three Destiny HEROs were summoned to her side. Drilldark, as his name implied, had drills all over his body. Celestial was a black and red warrior, with a holy appearance to it. Decider resembled a humanoid Loch Ness Monster.

"We'll survive this together!" Miku threw her arm forward. "Go!"

Her warriors all nodded, as they ran forward, fighting off the enemy Duel Monsters and tearing through the Noise. Miku looked towards the smoke.

Please be careful, Hibiki.

Speed Warrior ran through the trees, expertly dodging all of the monsters and Noise. Eventually, they came into a clearing by a small pond. They saw the smoke rising from a charred crater nearby.

"So this is where it was." Speed Warrior let Hibiki off him. "But where is she-?"

"You're pathetically predictable. Like a moth to the flame."

Hibiki whipped around to see Chris leaning against a tree, seemingly quite bored as she tossed her outdated D-Gazer in her hand.

"Chris-chan, just call off the Noise." Hibiki tried to plead. "We don't have to-"

"Shut up. And don't call me that. We're not friends." Chris said.

"We're not friends yet!" Hibiki said. "My name is Hibiki, age seventeen! My birthday is September 13th! I just had my height measured, and it was 157 cm! My weight is... I'll tell you when we're better friends! My hobby is helping others, and I love food and more food! Also, I've never been in a relationship in my life!"

Chris just stared at her. What the hell is wrong with this girl?

"But if words don't work…" Hibiki held up her Duel Disk as Speed Warrior disappeared. "We can speak through the cards! Get ready to sing!"

"Now you're speaking my language." Chris said. "Oh, and I got a bit of an upgrade."

She put on what Hibiki had assumed was an outdated D-Gazer. Her eyes widened as she saw it morph to form a red headpiece, with dark pink ear covers.

"How did you-?!"

"I know some people." Chris chuckled. "And now I'm taking you down!"

They each pressed the buttons on their earpieces, as the eye scanner formed.

"D-Gazer, set!" They both shouted.

They set their decks into their duel disks, as they shuffled and summoned the blade.

"Duel!"

A/N: Didn't think I'd be back with a new chapter so quick. I helps that I have a co-author writing the duels.

Bet you didn't expect Miku to use Destiny HEROs, did ya? I like to keep some surprises instead of the obvious ones.

So for the record, I will be using the original Japanese names for the Yu-Gi-Oh characters, since this does take place in Japan. It might be a bit inconsistent, since I'm using the dub names for the cards themselves, but it makes more sense than them questioning why people with Japanese heritage, born in Japan, have American names. YGOTAS makes enough fun of this already. I'll also not be adding additional letters (such as Yugi Mutou, Yusei Fudou, etc.) at the end of some of their names. Keep it simpler and more recognizable since those names don't change much for the dub.

With that said, next time! Chris vs Hibiki! Who will come out on top in this clash?

Feel free to leave a review. See you all next time.
