"So, this is the Happy hotel." Seth remarks while glancing at the entrance of the building. His eyes darting around at the details like the crimson red bricks, and the statues and gargoyles standing high up in the corners of the tower. I notice his curiosity piqued at the giant cruise ship poking out of the right side of the building. "I'm going to need to know the story behind that." He chuckles. We proceed to walk up to the doorstep of the hotel only for Seth to stop dead in his tracks. Seth turns around facing us. A long pause of silence fills the air.
"I suppose it's better if you three go first," he says while gesturing to the door.
"Well, aren't you chivalrous." Vaggie scoffs at his notion. I turn to her with a cautious look.
"It's just more courteous if the owners walk in first." Seth remarks. "Besides, I wouldn't want to cause some kind of disturbance if someone like me walked in alone first."
"If you say so." I reply while opening the doors to the hotel. I noticed Seth's eyes widen taking in all the vibrant colors of the main lobby. "Do you like it?" I ask him while smiling.
"For first impressions, this is quite comforting." Seth replies. He turns his head around, taking in the scenery. "You guys really love the color red, don't you?"
"I mean it is hell, it would be weird if it was green." Angel sarcastically replies. Seth lets out a small chuckle while slightly shaking his head while gazing around the hotel's scenery more. I can see him staring at the small statues and portraits hanging from the walls. He stops looking around and puts his attention on the demon on a ladder. He points at them in confusion. "Who's that and what are they doing?"
"Oooo, who is the new guy?" Nifty asks excitedly as she slides down the ladder. "Is this a new tenant?"
"You could say that, and what's your name?" Seth asks her
"My name's Nifty, I'm the housekeeper of the hotel!" Nifty responds with excitement. "Ooooh, you're a new looking demon, so dark and black and- Oh my goodness you're so dirty!" Nifty gasps. She begins to circle around Seth observing how old, raggedy, and worn out his attire is. "we need to get you some clean clothes!"
"heh, i guess right you're right" Seth chuckles. He proceeds to then lift his pointer finger, making Nifty glow in a violet aura and levitate mid-air, moving her in any direction his finger points.
"Wait, how did you do that?" I questioned him in shock. Seth gently places Nifty on the nearest chair
"Atomic manipulation, basically controlling mass at an atomic level. It's what allows me to also do this." Seth explains while tearing his armored robe off of him. But instead showing him in an under shirt or worse, bare naked; the robe transforms into a violet silk cloth and what's left over becomes a black business suit with a black and white undershirt and purple tie. Seth folds the silk cloth into a handkerchief and neatly places it inside the suit's chest pocket. "So what do ya think?" He asks us while adjusting his neck tie.
The hotel lobby became so quiet and not a single peep came out of anyone's mouth. It was so quiet that the only noise that filled the room was the automated piano music from the overhead speakers for the lobby. "That was amazing!" Nifty squealed. She then proceeds to run towards Seth again observing his new tailor suit. "Ooo, your suit is so clean and freshly ironed, show us more!" Nifty squeals in excitement.
"Wow you're clingy." Seth chuckles. He then picks Nifty up by the back of her shirt and places her on the chair again. "Maybe next time I'll show more of what I can do; but for now, I'm a bit tired, can I check in a room here?" he asks me.
"Oh uhh, sure." I nervously respond. "Come with me." I gesture him to the front desk where I log him into the hotel system and hand him his room card. "Your room is the fourth floor and the eleventh room." I tell seth.
"Huh, four eleven, well thank you Miss Magne." he responds as he walks to the elevators.
"Here let me escort you." Vaggie chimes in while approaching him from behind.
"Uhh, that won't be necessar-'' Seth retorts before being cut off.
"Please, I insist." Vaggie sternly interrupts him.
"Uhhm sweetie, can you come here for one second?" I ask Vaggie. she sighs as she walks over to me.
"Look, I know you don't trust him-" I whisper.
"yeah of course I don't, he said himself he's not from this hell, i don't think he's even a demon, how can you trust him?" she quietly responds in frustration.
"Listen, I don't, but for now he seems pretty friendly, plus he's a wild card and we can use him."
"use him for what?!"
"To get more demons in here, for a short while we've only had angel but with him we can get more customers to stay.
"Honey, are you seriously betting our entire safety on the chance of him helping us get more demons here?"
"For now, yes; look, you don't have to trust him, but if there's a chance of getting the hotel more public approval and helping demons be redeemed, I'm taking that chance." I explain to her. Vaggie sighs.
"ok, but if there's even a slight hint of him harming you, or any of us, I'm taking him down." she concedes. I give her a warm nod of approval. Vaggie then goes and walks Seth to the elevators.
