"Its power is becoming far too great! We won't be able to contain it much longer!"

"Just hold out! She can do it!"

"Attack with Burst Stream of Destruction!"

"SERENA!"

Maria Cadenzavna Eve opened her eyes. She must have nodded off during that time earlier.

Looking around, she saw the various stagehands getting ready for the performance. Several of them were working to make sure that the systems were up and running for the performance later tonight.

She pulled out her deck, looking at the cards that were within. She slipped them back into her pocket, before looking at the card themed pendant around her neck.

I need to do this… for Serena.

If there was one thing that was always impressive, it was the evolution of Duel Monsters. Those in this day and age were lucky enough to live through seeing how Zwei Wing had changed it.

The Action Duel that Kanade Amou had created had set the stage for the future. The rules were changed, as the life point counter doubled to 8000 for the Master Duel format. The development of the new Solid Vision system meant that the arenas no longer had to be manually built, making the way for all sorts of incredible locations for the duels.

But that wasn't the big change; the Action Duel had kicked off a new wave of duelists, known as Entertainment Duelists. These Duelists would entertain their audiences in whatever manner fit their style. Zwei Wing were the first of the Idol Duelists, using music to enhance their duels in the newest form of Sound Duels. There were Dueltainers, bringing the flashy show and style of the circus to a duel. And Charisma Duelists that hid their presence with an online avatar. Dozens of different Entertainment Duelist styles continued to show up, bringing a new twist to dueling. This new style had changed the outlook for those that used holographic cards, with everyone switching back to the classic card format for nostalgic reasons.

Yet despite this, the new era wasn't without problems. While their appearances have been far fewer, the Noise and rogue Duel Monsters continued to keep showing up. Even with the battle against Finé giving the duelists the ability to defend themselves, and even attack the Noise directly, there have been unfortunate reports of duelists being sent to the Shadow Realm.

Which is why a certain duo of duelists were currently on their way to make sure that wouldn't happen as often.

"Why am I the one carrying this again?!"

Chris was standing on the back of Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, her D-Gazer and Duel Disk active. In her arms was a large metal case that contained Solomon's Duel Disk. They were flying through a tunnel, with a certain other duelist nearby.

"Because you have the most experience with the thing, duh!" Hibiki said, flying next to her on the back of Clear Wing Synchro Dragon. "Oh, and incoming!"

Chris turned around to see several Noise chasing after them, having summoned rogue Duel Monsters to assist them. Both she and Hibiki pulled out a few cards to join the fight.

"Junk Warrior!"

"Number 39: Utopia!"

The two warrior monsters appeared in a burst of light.

"Hope Sword Slash!" Chris commanded.

Her monster slashed apart one of the Noise, also causing one of the monsters to shatter.

"So glad we can just attack those freaks now." Chris said. "The only good thing that damn woman did."

"Scrap Fist!"

Junk Warrior slammed his fist straight into one of the larger monsters, creating a massive explosion that obliterated a lot of the small fry.

"Show off." Chris muttered.

"Look alive, Chris-chan! There's still more!"

Hibiki pointed forward, where there was a crowd of Noise and rogue Duel Monsters waiting for them. They pulled out more cards.

"Let's go, Road Warrior!"

"Go, Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon!"

"So, you got the special tickets we sent you?"

Kanade was walking down the hall with a phone to her ear. The preparations were going around her as she talked.

"Yes, I got all of them. Everyone's really excited." Miku's voice said. "Do you think Hibiki and Chris-chan will make it though?"

"Eh, I'd hope so." Kanade said. "If not, I guess they can see the replay or something."

"But still, Maria Cadenzavna Eve might be a challenge for Tsubasa-san." Miku said. "I've seen her duels, she's a prodigy. She never uses the same deck twice, and this is supposedly the night she uses her true deck."

"Basa's gonna be fine." Kanade said. "I mean, she beat me."

"If you say so, Kanade-san." Miku said. "Again, can't wait!"

"And to get your excitement up even more, I got a card for you." Kanade said. "Consider it a gift from me to you."

Kanade quickly moved her phone away from her ear to avoid the shriek of excitement.

"Now I REALLY can't wait! See you soon, Kanade-san!"

"See ya." The call ended, and Kanade chuckled before slipping her phone away. "Man, Miku sounded like she was bouncing on her seat or something. Guess that's what happens when you become friends with an idol-oop!"

Kanade bumped into a young woman with pink hair, nearly falling over. Thankfully, they managed to stay standing.

"Sorry about that, didn't see where I was going." Kanade said, before noticing who it was. "Wait, you're-"

Maria brushed her shoulder. "Watch where you're going next time, Kanade Amou."

"So you already know me, huh?" Kanade said, eyeing the girl up and down.

"Of course, it would be insulting to not remember your name, considering your reputation." Maria said. "Part of Zwei Wing, one of the 5 heroes of the Duel Monsters, and the creator of Action Duels."

"Ah hell, they're calling us the 5 heroes of Duel Monsters now?" Kanade rubbed the back of her head. "How corny can you get?"

"It's a shame that I won't be dueling you tonight, though I do suppose your partner is a worthy opponent in her own right." Maria said.

"Heh, don't underestimate Basa, alright?" Kanade said. "Just because you're a looker, doesn't mean she'll let her guard down."

"I appreciate the advice but- wait, what." Maria looked up at Kanade, a blush forming.

Kanade chuckled. "Sorry, sorry. But you are a looker. If Basa wasn't my girlfriend already, I'd scoop you into my arms."

Maria didn't really have a response as Kanade walked past her.

"Good luck." Kanade waved behind her. "You're gonna need a lot of it."

Maria was glued to the spot until Kanade left. She let out a breath, before briefly rubbing her temples.

"Don't get worked up before this… you have a job to do. Don't let her distract you." She told herself as she walked off.

Road Warrior and Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon destroyed the last of the Noise and monsters, letting Hibiki and Chris have a free path once they got to the storage facility, where several government agents were waiting for them.

"Welcome, heroes of the Duel Monsters!" A man with glasses and a labcoat greeted. "I'm John Wayne Vercingetorix. Simply call me Dr. Ver."

"I hate that title." Chris grumbled as she and Hibiki landed with their monsters.

"You two are both assets and great heroes to the world." Dr. Ver said. "It's an honor to meet both of you."

"It was no big deal." Hibiki said. "But if you want to keep up the praise, go on ahead-"

Chris smacked Hibiki on the head. "Be humble, dummy."

While Junk Warrior and Road Warrior kept their arms crossed, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon let out a roar that sounded oddly like a laugh.

"So you're the guy that we hand this thing to?" Chris said. "Alright, be careful with it."

Chris tossed the suitcase, and he barely caught it. "Don't say "be careful with it" and then throw it!"

Chris shrugged. While Utopia put a hand over his face, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon and Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon followed Clear Wing's example.

Dr. Ver looked at both Dark Rebellion and Clear Wing with interest, before clearing his throat.

"Well, I should get this into the max security storage." Dr. Ver rubbed the back of his head. "I'm sure your ride should be here anytime now."

He walked into the facility with the government agents.

"Remind me why we have to wait for a ride when we have dragons?" Hibiki asked Chris.

"Are you really gonna make your monsters go for a second trip back?" Chris asked.

"Then wanna hop on my D-Wheel with me?" Hibiki suggested.

"First of all, you don't have it with you. Second of all, you won't catch me dead on one of those things; especially since you only got your license half a month ago!"

"These really are the best seats in the house!"

Yumi looked down at the stage with a sparkle in her eye. Miku, Kuriyo and Shiori all walked in behind her to take their seats. They were on a balcony that had a perfect view of the duel to come below.

"And it's all thanks to Miku being one of the 5 heroes that we get these seats!" Yumi whooped.

"Are you just using my status to get a good seat…?" Miku asked. "And don't call me that. It's an embarrassing title."

"Yeah, Hina's already got enough stress as is." Kuriyo said.

"I dunno, I like it myself, though celebrity status isn't something new for me."

They turned at the voice to see Kanade walking up with a wave.

"See you guys are doing well. Oh, and as I promised, Miku, here's the card."

Kanade tossed a card to Miku, who caught it and widened her eyes.

"T-This card… are you sure I can have it?" Miku said.

"Well, you're the only person I know that uses Destiny HERO monsters, so…" Kanade shrugged.

"I'll be sure to treasure it and wield it well, Kanade-san!" Miku said with a bow, before slipping it away into her deck.

"What are you doing here?" Shiori asked. "I thought you'd be down there with-"

"This one is Tsubasa's show." Kanade said. "And it's a regular duel over an entertainment one, so there's no point in me going down there. Might as well use the best seats in the house, yeah?"

Kanade then proceeded to sit down in a way that let her take two of the seats at once.

"...are you serious?" Yumi asked.

"Shh, it's starting." Kanade said as the lights started to dim.

As Hibiki and Chris were being flown back home, they managed to catch the duel on the helicopter's TV.

"Let's go, Tsubasa-san!" Hibiki whooped.

"She isn't even on the screen yet, dummy." Chris reminded her.

The flames lit up around the stage, before dying down to reveal someone standing in the center.

Maria was dressed in a rather fashionable white dress, but what stood out was her jacket; a long silver long coat that went down to her ankles, yet worn like a cape. She pulled out a mic and spoke into it.

"I'm sure I need no introduction at all, but for those that do not know, I am Maria Cadenzavna Eve!" She shouted. "I've fought 99 different duelists, but none of them have provided any sort of challenge for me! Is there anyone here that can prove themselves as a worthy opponent?!"

"99?" Kuriyo asked.

"I remember reading about it." Shiori said. "Maria got popular as an Idol Duelists by not just singing, but also thanks to her skill. She's currently undefeated."

"And she's apparently using what she considers her "true deck" tonight." Miku added. "I think Tsubasa-san is in for a challenge."

"Well, I hope she doesn't throw a fit once Tsubasa kicks her ass." Kanade said. "Oh, and speaking of which…"

They all heard the rev of an engine, as a familiar duelist garbed in light blue Riding Duel gear zoomed out onto the stage on her blue D-Wheel. She swerved to a stop right next to Maria, before taking off her helmet.

"Perhaps I can be that challenger." Tsubasa said. "I challenge you to a duel, Maria Cadenzavna Eve!"

Maria chuckled. "Very well, but don't expect any mercy from me!"

"I wouldn't have it any other way!" Tsubasa shouted. "Action Field on!"

Action Field: The World's Stage

The arena around them sparkled, changing in appearance. When it settled, the two of them were standing on a multi-platform stage connected by stairs, with fountains of water decorating the place.

"Duelists, locked in battle!" Tsubasa shouted, running forward.

"Kicking the earth and dancing in the air alongside their monsters!" Maria called, running past Tsubasa.

"They storm through this field!" Tsubasa shouted, as she and Maria went back to back.

"Behold! This is the newest and greatest evolution of Dueling!" Maria called.

They jumped away from one another, activating their Duel Disks as they readied themselves. While Tsubasa's was the familiar wing shape, Maria's was a single-edged parallelogram, with a silver body and white-blue blade.

"Action!"

They both drew five cards.

"DUEL!" They both shouted.

(Play: Fushichō no Flamme - Senki Zesshō Symphogear G)

"The first move is mine!" Tsubasa said. "And I'll start by summoning Legendary Six Samurai - Enishi in attack mode!"

The green and yellow samurai with a katana landed, brandishing 1700 attack points.

"And then because I control a Six Samurai monster, I can special summon Legendary Six Samurai - Kizan from my hand!"

Tsubasa summoned the samurai in black armor in defense mode, with a measly 500.

"And because I control two Six Samurai monsters, I can special summon Great Shogun Shien from my hand!"

A tall and foreboding Samurai in red armor stood next to the other two, resting his blade on the ground. He boasted an impressive 2500 attack points.

"And with that, I'll end my turn." Tsubasa said. "It's your move."

While Miku's friends were all going nuts, she and Kanade were looking at it more analytically.

"A strong defense from the start." Miku said. "But no facedowns?"

"Could be that she doesn't have anything on hand at the moment." Kanade shrugged. "Anyways, let's see what miss 99 streak'll respond with."

"Draw!" Maria shouted. "I'll start by activating Polymerization!"

A Fusion summon on the first turn. Tsubasa noted, as she prepared herself.

"I'll fuse the Alexandrite Dragon and Luster Dragon in my hand!" Maria declared. "Fusion Summon! Descend, First of the Dragons!"

A massive, leviathan-like dragon that rivaled Slifer in length, descended onto the battlefield and roared. It had 2700 attack points, the most on the field.

First of the Dragons? Tsubasa said, widening her eyes. That's an incredibly powerful card already.

"First of the Dragons!" Maria ordered. "Attack Great Shogun Shien! Primal Roar!"

First of the Dragons threw back its head, before unleashing a sonic shout from its mouth. Moving quickly, Tsubasa jumped onto the blade of Shien, who launched her to a higher platform. "Shien's ability! If he were to be destroyed, I can destroy another Six Samurai monster instead!"

"But you'll still take the damage!" Maria reminded her.

Shien held up his sword, being pushed back by the shockwave as Enishi shattered. Tsubasa winced as her life points trickled down to 7800.

Tch, I should have attacked Enishi and dealt more damage. Shien also limits me to using a single spell or trap per turn. Maria thought. I need to get rid of him as soon as I can. "I end my turn."

"It's my turn! I draw!"

Tsubasa pulled out the card, before placing it on her Duel Disk. "I summon Silent Swordsman LV3!"

A kid swordsman stood next to the samurai, with a basic 1000 attack points.

"I'll then switch Great Shogun Shien into defense mode!"

Shien sat down, legs crossed as he kept his sword at the ready.

"I'll set a card face down and end my turn."

"Looks like Tsubasa-san is in trouble." Miku said.

"Why? What's so bad about First of the Dragons?" Kuriyo asked.

Yumi looked up the card on her Duel Disk, before crying out seeing the effect. "First of the Dragons is immune to monster effects and can only be destroyed in battle by a normal monster!"

"Wait… does Tsubasa-san even have any in her deck?" Shiori asked.

"No." Kanade said. "She took out Curse of Dragon and the original Gaia the Fierce Knight for some of their retrained versions."

"But… if the only way you can get rid of First of the Dragons is by battle with a normal monster, how can you get rid of it?!" Yumi practically yelled.

"...did you read the card properly?" Miku said, having pulled up the details for herself.

"Yes, I did and-"

"Then you'll see that the destruction immunity only applies to monster effects and battle with non-normal monsters." Miku said. "This means that spells and traps are still options for Tsubasa."

"Yeah, exactly it." Kanade said. "And I'm sure Basa already figured that out too."

"Draw!" Maria said. "First of the Dragons, attack Silent Swordsman LV3! Primal Roar!"

First of the Dragons and prepared to unleash another shockwave of power at the young swordsman.

"I activate my trap card, Fiendish Chain!" Tsubasa shouted.

The card flipped up and shot several chains and ensnared the massive dragon.

"What?!" Maria shouted.

"Fiendish Chain prevents your monster from attacking and negates your monster's effects." Tsubasa explained. "Your dragon isn't that invincible anymore."

Maria frowned. "I'll set a monster and end my turn."

"Then it's my turn. I draw!"

(Play: Gekkō no Tsurugi - Senki Zesshō Symphogear G)

Tsubasa pulled a card from her deck and smiled. "I activate Silent Swordsman LV3's ability! I tribute him to special summon Silent Swordsman LV5 from my deck!"

The kid Silent Swordsman shattered as an older version of the swordsman landed on the field, brandishing his blade.

"But I'm not finished! I activate the spell card Level Up!" Tsubasa added. "This further enhances my swordsman, as I sacrifice him for Silent Swordsman LV7!"

There was another flash, causing a new swordsman to appear, this one with an even bigger coat and bigger blade. He had 2800 attack points, the most on the field.

"Now, I'll switch Great Shogun Shien into attack mode!"

The shogun stood up, his blade ready.

"Why didn't she switch Kizan into attack mode?" Yumi asked, seeing the samurai still in defense mode.

"She's probably being cautious." Miku said. "Tsubasa-san doesn't have a full grasp of her opponent's deck yet."

"Silent Swordsman LV7! Attack First of the Dragons! Silent Sword!"

Silent Swordsman LV7 rushed up, before jumping and slashing the dragon in half. Maria's life points fell to 7900.

"And Great Shogun Shien will attack your face down monster!"

Shien smashed his blade down on the card, to reveal some odd white stone that shattered. Maria smirked.

"I end my turn." Tsubasa said.

"A foolish move!" Maria shouted. "Because you activated my monster's effect that way; The White Stone of Ancients!"

"What?!" Tsubasa yelled.

"The White Stone of Ancients's effect lets me special summon a certain monster from my deck." Maria said, pulling the card out. "And I don't think it's a monster that needs an introduction. Come forth!"

The card slammed down onto her Duel Disk, as a beam of light shot out behind her. The light faded, and the crowd went wild seeing the monster Maria had summoned. It was a fearsome dragon of white with shining blue eyes, with an incredible 3000 attack points.

"I-Impossible…" Tsubasa muttered. "That's…"

"Blue-Eyes White Dragon?!"

Both Hibiki and Chris were shocked at seeing the legendary dragon of Seto Kaiba's take the stage.

Miku's friends were all in awe at seeing the classic monster take flight. Miku and Kanade's reactions were a bit different.

"Wait, how is that possible?!" Miku said. "I thought there were only 3 copies of Blue-Eyes White Dragon in the world!"

Long ago, Seto Kaiba had written it into his will that no Blue-Eyes White Dragons should ever be reprinted, even after his passing. He made it so that the system would only register his Blue-Eyes White Dragons, to prevent anyone from using fakes. So the fact that Maria had one was unbelievable, because the Blue-Eyes White Dragons were apparently lost to time. Many even thought the cards were a myth now, as ridiculous as that sounded.

"Is it a fake…?" Kanade wondered. "No, it worked in the Duel Disk system, so it's got to be the actual thing. But how…?"

"My turn! I draw!" Maria shouted. "Battle! Blue-Eyes White Dragon! Attack Silent Swordsman LV7! Burst Stream of Destruction!"

Blue-Eyes White Dragon threw its head back and unleashed the stream of energy, obliterating Tsubasa's swordsman and causing her life points to fall to 7600.

"And because your Silent Swordsman negated spell effects, now I'm free to activate this spell, Raigeki!" Maria shouted.

"What?!"

A storm of lightning tore across the field, shredding Tsubasa's monsters apart. While Tsubasa was recovering, Maria turned to the crowd.

"I see you're all entertained by seeing a classic monster take the stage!"

The crowd roared in agreement.

"Then how about I add another?" Maria suggested. "I activate the spell card, Ancient Rules! This allows me to special summon any normal monster that's level 5 or higher. And I choose… THIS!"

She placed a card onto her Duel Disk, stunning everyone even further. It was a magician in purple and blue robes, with indigo hair and blue eyes. In his hand was a green magical staff.

"The Dark Magician!" Maria declared. "A card given to me by a dear friend!"

The crowd went beyond wild seeing this. Dark Magician wasn't subject to the same reprint ban like Blue-Eyes White Dragon, but the incredible fact that they were seeing the two ace cards of Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba, side-by-side, was might as well be a miracle; a miracle created by Maria Cadenzavna Eve.

"I end my turn." Maria said. "Now then, come at me!"

Tsubasa frowned, seeing her field was empty. "I draw!"

She looked at the card she just drew, smirking as it gave her a chance.

"I activate Pot of Avarice!" Tsubasa said. "I'll return 5 monsters from my graveyard to my deck to draw 2 cards!"

She slot all three of the Silent Swordsmen, Enishi and Kizan to her deck, letting it shuffle before she drew two cards.

"I activate Monster Reborn to bring back Great Shogun Shien!" Tsubasa said.

The mighty shogun took to the field once more.

"I'll equip him with Axe of Despair, to raise his attack points by 1000!"

The shogun raised his free hand, catching a mighty axe, as his attack points jumped to 3500.

"Go! Great Shogun Shien! Attack Blue-Eyes White Dragon!" Tsubasa called.

The shogun clashed his weapons together, before slashing in a cross pattern and taking out the dragon. Maria winced as her life points fell to 7400.

"I end my turn." Tsubasa said.

"It's time."

Maria heard the voice in her earpiece before whispering back. "Mom?"

"Finish this duel, Maria. I've already sent Kirika and Shirabe ahead."

"I got it, Mom." The line ended. "Draw!"

Maria pulled the card from her hand, before smiling.

"Tsubasa Kazanari, you are a strong duelist." Maria complimented. "But this duel is over."

"Strong words." Tsubasa said. "But can you back it up?"

"Oh, I can, quite easily in fact." Maria said. "With a card I think you're quite familiar with."

Tsubasa raised a brow in caution, before her heart stopped when she saw the card.

"I activate Red-Eyes Fusion!"

"WHAT?!" Hibiki and Chris yelled in shock, echoing the thoughts of their friends.

Kanade's eyes just about jumped out of her head as Maria declared the card.

(Play: Ressō Gungnir - Senki Zesshō Symphogear G)

"With this, I'll fuse the Red-Eyes Black Dragon in my deck with the Dark Magician on my field!"

The black dragon appeared and roared, before it entered a swirling portal with Dark Magician.

"You're fusing Dark Magician and Red-Eyes Black Dragon?!" Tsubasa yelled.

"Black Dragon with eyes of Red, bestow your power upon the Magician of Dark Magic, and become a monster of unparalleled might!" Maria chanted. "Fusion Summon! Appear now, Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon!"

Descending from the portal was an enhanced version of Dark Magician, carrying fearsome bladed staff. His robes had transformed into draconic armor based on Red-Eyes Black Dragon, complete with wings and a tail. It raised its weapon, brandishing 3000 attack points.

"Red-Eyes… Dark Dragoon…" Tsubasa muttered.

"Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon's ability!" Maria declared. "I can choose one of your monsters and destroy it, and deal damage to you equal to its original attack points!"

"What?!"

Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon charged up a ball of energy in his free hand, before launching it at Shien. The monster was sent up in an explosion, and Tsubasa's life points fell to 5300.

"And now, Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon attacks your life points directly!" Maria declared. "Go! Black Dragon Magic Slash!"

Red-Eyes Dark Dragon swung his weapon, unleashing a slash of dark energy that struck Tsubasa dead-on, dramatically dropping her life points all the way to 2300. Tsubasa was sent skidding back from the attack, but was still standing.

"Turn end." Maria said.

"I draw!" Tsubasa pulled the card. Perfect! "I activate Advanced Ritual Art! This will allow me to special summon-!"

"I activate Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon's ability!" Maria shouted. "I can negate a card activation and destroy it!"

The ritual spell shattered in Tsubasa's hand.

"And with it, Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon gains 1000 attack points!"

Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon's attack points jumped to 4000.

"I…" Tsubasa swallowed. "I end my turn."

"Draw!" Maria declared. "Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon! Attack with Black Dragon Magic Slash and end this duel!"

Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon held up his weapon, before slashing once more. Tsubasa's life points dropped to zero. The attack knocked Tsubasa off the platform she was on, as she fell down a flight of stairs and painfully hit the floor of the main stage.

"Tsubasa!" Kanade yelled.

"Tsubasa-san!" Hibiki shouted.

"That was a nasty fall…" Chris muttered.

"And that makes win number 100." Maria said, before turning back to the crowd, who were cheering. "And now that I have all your attention…"

The cheers turned into cries of terror, as Noise materialized around the stadium.

"Noise?! Here?!" Miku shouted.

"Oi, you three!" Kanade said to Miku's friends. "You're on standby! Miku, with me! We got to regroup with Tsubasa!"

"Right!"

Kanade jumped over her seat, with Miku running right behind her.

"Don't panic!" Maria announced. "We hold control over the Noise, so we'll ask this now; turn over the rulership of all countries to us! Because I… We are Finé! We are the ones named "the end!""

"What…? Finé?" Hibiki muttered.

"No… no damn way…" Chris grit her teeth.

The lone figure in golden Riding Duel gear watched from atop the highest point in the stadium. "And so it's begun…"

Kanade and Miku were running down the halls of the stadium, though Kanade was rushing a bit faster than Miku was.

"Kanade-san?" Miku asked. "Are you-?"

"If you were gonna ask me if I'm okay; no! I'm not!" Kanade said. "I don't give a damn now if that Maria's a pretty face. Cause I'm gonna throw down with her; and not in Duel Monsters!"

"We can't let you do that, dess!"

Stepping in their way were two girls. The first girl was blonde with green clothes, while the latter had darker hair and pink highlights on her outfit that resembled Riding Duel gear. Both of them were a bit younger in comparison.

"You'll have to get past us first." The dark-haired girl said, holding up a Duel Disk.

"They're working with her?" Miku realized.

"I don't have time for this." Kanade said. "You two'd better get out of the way before-!"

The blonde girl held up her hand, before they heard the tearing of metal. To their shock, the steel walls had ripped apart, pulling together to block them from leaving behind. It was the same behind the other two girls.

"Now you do, dess!" The girl grinned.

Kanade looked at the torn walls. That's not Solid Vision. How the hell did this girl pull that off?

"Kanade-san, I don't think we have any other option." Miku said. "Let's end this quickly."

"Fine by me." Kanade said.

"It'll be a tag duel." Shirabe said. "The two of us against the two of you."

"So all four of us in one duel instead of two separate ones, huh." Kanade said.

"Can we get your names so we know who we're dueling?" Miku asked.

"Shirabe Tsukuyomi." The black-haired girl said.

"And Kirika Akatsuki!" Said the blonde girl. "Get set to get decked, dess!"

The two pulled out something that surprised both Kanade and Miku; D-Gazers.

"Where did you get those?!" Kanade demanded.

"I thought you wanted to make this duel quick, dess?" Kirika asked.

"Rrgh, forget it." Kanade said, as she and Miku pulled out their own D-Gazers. Kanade's sclera turned black.

"D-Gazer, set!" They all called.

Shirabe's D-Gazer morphed into a rather large one, resembling massive pigtails that reached the ground behind her. Kirika's took a different approach, creating a sharp hat-like shape. Both of their Duel Disks were crescent shapes, facing away from them.

"Let's duel! (Dess!)"

A/N: And we are back, and already with a duel! With how fight focused G was, that means we'll be getting plenty of duels for this season!

And to start off, we had Tsubasa vs Maria. Unlike how their fight was interrupted in canon, here Maria ends up giving Tsubasa a rather humiliating defeat, with one of the most broken cards in recent history (at least at the time of writing), as well as several other classic cards.

And next time, we have a tag duel! Miku and Kanade vs Kirika and Shirabe! Who will be the victors of this new clash?

Feel free to leave a review. See you all next time.
