Change
"The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance."
-Alan Watts
A quiet dinner usually involves just him and Itachi. However, as soon as they sat down to eat, Madara entered the dining room looking vexed, his shadow covering the table. It looked as if his long raven hair snaked behind him.
There was a plate already made for him and the others they would be there soon enough unless they were to appear somewhere. The Specter's diet was a simple one which consisted of rice, fish, and leafy vegetables. Madara took a position at the head of the rectangular shape table as soon as he had a seat Sasuke spoke. He did not look at either of them.
"I'm tired, I will have my meal in my room. Thank you." He stood grabbing his plate before stepping out of the dining room. There was no protest by his elders, they believed him.
He had no reason to lie...
As he returned to his room a brief thought passed his mind. What if he got caught? They never said humans were not allowed in here, but he knew it was an unspoken rule and that he was breaking that sacred rule.
Sasuke swiftly lit a lantern on his dresser and then walked over to the closet. He quickly slid the door open to his closet and found what he was looking for. He noticed Naruto was sitting with his knees drawn up to his chest as he embraced them.
His head was down. If his steady breathing was an indication he appeared to be asleep. Sasuke had crouched down to the blonde's eye level.
"Uzumaki..."
"Hmm?"
"You awake?"
"Mmhm." He lifted his head giving Sasuke a heavy-lidded smile.
"I brought you food." He placed the plate under his nose to emphasize his point.
"Oy, you didn't have to do that." He yawned.
"Yes, I did, you are my hostage, for now, my elders are here, and it would be too... Risky to leave now. I'm afraid you're going to have to stay the night."
Their eyes locked.
"I'm sorry Sasuke my curiosity tends to get me into situations like this." He huffed.
"No need to apologize I invited you in, now come and join me on my bed. I'm sure sitting on the floor in my closet was not ideal." He rose to move to the spot, as the blonde climbed out of the closet, stretching his arms over his head as his back started to crack, yeah that floor did suck.
A feeling of nervousness bubbled up inside him as he looked at Sasuke. The two of them would have to share a bed if he slept over here!
"Well, what are you waiting for?" Those crimson pools reflected the light from the lantern making a shiver travel down his spinal cord. While Sasuke moved the plate closer to him, their arms brushed against each other.
He enjoyed the meal. It was refreshing it was up there with ramen which was the meal of choice. He observed Sasuke leave and then return. He watched Sasuke keenly to see if he was annoyed with him it was kinda his fault that he would be staying the night. However, The specter's stoic expression gave no outward sign of annoyance.
"They are still awake; I might have a second pair of Pajamas."
"Cool, where will I sleep?"
"Right here." He patted the bed
"Um, where will you sleep?"
"Right here." He patted the bed again.
"Wait..." It finally clicked what Sasuke said that they would be sharing this single bed together... TOGETHER!
"What!?" Instantly Sasuke placed a hand over Naruto's mouth shushing him.
"Sorry." He said between the gap in those fingers that were cupped over his mouth. Just then the sky roared followed by rain hitting the ground and windowpane, so the snow finally melted. The sound broke the tension that Sasuke didn't even know was there.
"I-I can't!" That dream flashed through his mind.
Sasuke took this as him being nervous about having to sleep next to a Specter. "No, harm will come to you Uzumaki, I promise." ... At least, not right at this moment.
"Call me Naruto," he said in a whisper. He wanted to be on a first-name basis the use of his last name felt impersonal. He felt they were closer than that, at least he thought they were.
"Naruto."
He began to unbutton his white undershirt, but as soon as he started on his belt and pants, he noticed Naruto turn away from him in an attempt for privacy. It made the raven smile.
Should I start removing my clothes also? He felt the weight of the bed shift as Sasuke stood to get their Pajamas. Involuntarily, he turned his head to see the raven's body, which was only clad in black boxer briefs.
In an instant, Sasuke turned back around, while Naruto was still staring at his boxer briefs. The fit was nice and snug in all the right places, who would have thought underneath that school uniform he was hiding a chiseled physic, just then he saw the neatly folded PJs obscuring his view. He glanced up coyly to meet Sasuke's curious gaze.
Naruto blinked, his eyes wide once he realized what he was doing. Oh, my god! Sasuke just caught him ogling his body! He turned his head a second time, but his face was ablaze, closing his eyes in embarrassment and mentally chastising himself.
He heard the clothing flop on the floorboards.
"What was that look," All of a sudden Sasuke was millimeters away from Naruto's face, making it nearly impossible to breathe. For the first time, he felt his heart flutter when he saw that look. There was something he wanted that was hard to describe.
"Tell me." On instincts, he leaned in closer meeting Naruto at eye level while planting both hands on the outside of his thighs.
"S-sorry I didn't mean to," He looked down at his lap as the emotions he felt swirled in his stomach causing fluttering throughout. Immediately, following a digit curling under his chin, his emotions took over, and he allowed his head to be tilted upwards.
"Tell me." His lips brushed against Sasuke's slightly parted mouth so soft and delicate he could feel the warmth emanating from his skin all the while inhaling his breath.
Naruto could not control how he felt, not when they were in such close proximity. Intuitively Naruto leaned forward, capturing his mouth in a deep kiss filled with raw emotions. He wrapped his arms around Sasuke's bare shoulders, pulling him closer. Sasuke's arms which were used to support his upper body and Naruto caved causing both to crash into the mattress.
He flopped on his back on Sasuke's bed with the raven still on top of him and their lips locked in a kiss. There is no doubt that Naruto knew Sasuke's pelvis was pressing against his own, creating friction between them. Sasuke was like a puzzle piece that fitted between Naruto's thighs, jolted him back to reality, and abruptly rolled away from the kiss and the warmth of that body.
In shock, he realized what he had done.
He jumped out of the bed trying to speak but could not find the words. He had no time to think he burst out of Sasuke's room and into the storm, he wasn't sure if he was seen by the others as he left running out the gate, but the shame he felt, he felt ashamed for what he did.
And kept running until he got enough distance to move into a slow shamble, his head tilting up to the rain letting it fall down his face, it was freezing out, but he was on fire. "You damn idiot! Why the hell did you do that!" He screamed.
Shit shit shit!
He should have just gone home instead.
Sasuke stared out his bedroom door at the wet pathway. He took a deep breath and then let it out slowly, trying to calm himself down. He couldn't help but think about what had just happened.
If Naruto hadn't kissed him and ran... And if they would have continued Sasuke knew he wouldn't have stopped it. He didn't know just how much he'd enjoy it even that look and the kissing he wanted it all.
Sasuke felt conflicted when he thought about it.
AN/ Gotta love it when the unexpected happens
