Fujimoto Hikaru was troubled.

And it didn't go unnoticed by the people around him, especially towards the woman named Himiko, whom was his mother in this second life of his.

The young albino was normally quiet, but somehow, these past few days, he had become more abnormally withdrawn. Rarely speaking and staring at an empty space.

Himiko was worried for her son and quickly made action to the current problem. She knew that her son likes reading books, and so she bought new ones from a nearby bookstore in hopes to get some kind of reaction from the young boy, but instead got silence as a reply and proceeded to be ignored by the boy. Accompanied with the slight struggles concerning the branch family of the Fujimoto, Himiko broke down and cried whilst clinging to her son. Though the boy still dismissed his surroundings.

After Himiko was appeased by a panicking Shunji, the man decided that this really is a serious matter like his wife said and tried several methods to gain the attention on his son. Inviting Hikaru on walks(which the boy rejected seeing that he not so much glanced at his father), the shameless method of buying anything that Hikaru like was dismissed, or the desperate pleads that Shunji will do anything for him as long as he show some kind of reaction.

Looking at how the boy was still in his own world, Shunji was distraught, and like the previous Himiko, he cried and clung onto Hikaru as a desperate mean.

The lackeys, namely, Gozu, Ekoda, and Li, also tried their own methods to somehow bring back the young master.

But so far, no one has been able to get a reaction from the boy.

Hikaru, on the other hand, was stuck in his own thoughts for three whole days, clearly clueless of what was happening to those around him.

He was... thinking of what he should feel after finding out that he was currently in a fictional world. More so, one that he had read and watched from his past life.

Home Tutor Reborn/ Katekyo Hitman Reborn, in simpler terms, this was an anime about mafia but has been slightly colored with flowery explanations and rainbows.

Mafia in some countries of his former world were considered crime syndicates and the ones behind the scenes of several criminal activities. But in this world, the world of mafia was different. Though they still armed guns and other types of weapons, this was a world where something like superpowers exist.

The existence of flames, or something like that.

Really, Hikaru didn't know where to start and wrap his thoughts about first.

These past few days after Hikaru's thinking, he had noticed a small change on the way the people around him acted towards him.

Shunji had spent less time on his office and would always find time to visit Hikaru during his reading hours in their library. Much to Hikaru's dismay since the older man kept bothering him whilst he read. Also Shunji, his father, was really noisy.

Himiko would always smother him during his meal hours. Often, the woman would gush on how adorable he was despite only having a stoic expression. She was also noisy.

Masuki, his grandfather, have been visiting his room frequently. The old man was said to be busy with affairs concerning their family, but had a sudden change and will stay with Hikaru's reading hours for an hour before leaving for his office.

Gozu keep on carrying him every minute when they are in the same space. Not that Hikaru minded, it saved him some time from his own slow walking. But Gozu was noisy and is often shouting(which might be his normal volume when speaking), hurting his ears.

Ekoda... well, the man became even more attentive. As if he could read Hikaru's mind, the things that he would need, before he would say anything else, was brought to him. He was a bit acceptable, since Ekoda is a bit on the quiet side.

Li was a bit weird. The former assassin who would do anything just to not be in the same space as Hikaru, would be found trailing behind the boy whenever he was outside. But he was silent and rarely cause the same noise as the other three, so it was tolerable.

Today might be hopefully his alone time or so he concludes, since for the past few hours after breakfast, nobody had been bothering him in the library.

Well, he thought so until Ekoda arrived.

"You have a guest, young master."

Hikaru blinked, taking a few moments before he registered the words and then stared at Ekoda with a blank look.

Guests have always been something that he had grown to be used to. The Fujimoto is a yakuza family, and his parents and grandfather always had at least four guests a week.

But this was the first time that Hikaru had a guests specifically for him. Just like he had been informed by his grandfather, he will be formally announced outside once he was 18. Not that he really care, or should he since this was some yakuza business, and it can be a bit dangerous.

It seems like Ekoda wouldn't leave as long as Hikaru didn't agree to meet this guest. He carefully closed the book he was holding and gestured Ekoda to lead the way. Though the albino took out a small novel and started to read again.

Hikaru could feel Ekoda halt and he stopped walking before he could collide with the older man.

Ekoda glanced at their young master and saw that he had no interest on the guest, making him laugh inside his head. Making a slight bow to the guest, he gestured them and left Hikaru and the guest alone.

"You said you'll come back. You didn't." The slightly angry and accusing voice was heard by the albino.

Hikaru lightly glanced away from his reading and saw a familiar raven-haired young boy.

This is quite troublesome. He thought and proceeded to read once again, ignoring the other boy.

Kyoya could feel some bubbling anger within him, different from when Tetsuya bothers him. Unlike how he was usually treated, this was the first time that he was ignored deliberately.

"Hey." Kyoya called, his words having and underlying anger.

But he was met with the unchanging stoic face of the other.

Being involved with a one of the main characters of reborn, and one who was really troublesome to deal with, Hikaru had no time to do so. Though it looks like the famous Hibari Kyoya's line 'Im gonna bite you' is nonexistent when he was a child. It was a good thing, since dealing with a tonfa-weilding battle addict is the last thing that Hikaru wants to deal with. And Hibari Kyoya was considered one of the most quiet characters in KHR, he cannot imagine what he will do once he meets noisy ones like Ryohei or Squalo.

When two silently inclined children where put in the same place, one with an indifferent nature and the other with so much pride, an hour of waiting for each other to start a conversation will happenー more likely, it already happened since Kyoya has been waiting for an hour for Hikaru to speak.

Turning the last page of the book, and reaching the ending, Hikaru closed the book lightly and placed it inside the pocket of his jacket. He stared at the other boy and did a small sigh.

"So. What do you want?" Kyoya blinked at the sudden question.

"You said you'll help me escape. It's been three days." It was a sentence that can be interpreted differently if heard by civilians.

"Well, you manage to get out of your compound by visiting me. So count this as indirectly helping you." Kyoya blinked and stared at Hikaru, his glare gone.

Hikaru reminded Kyoya of his father. They always use hard to understand words. He didn't manage to get what indirectly means, but it looks like Hikaru will help him.

The albino on the other hand, noticed that Kyoya had made no movement indicating that he would leave any sooner, then sighed once again. He decided to just go with this boy for the day and get this problem done. It's not like he'll meet another troublesome character if he goes out for the day.

Hikaru grabbed Kyoya's wrist and dragged him, making his way towards his father's office. This might also be a good thing, since it looks like his parents and the others are worried that he had not been taking his usual walks. This should stop them from complaining.

The door of Shunji's office swung open, surprising the working man inside.

"What is it, Hikaru?" Shunji put on his usual smile as his son still stood outside of the room. He further noticed the raven-haired boy that stood behind Hikaru and noted that this was the young master of the Hibari's.

Hikaru didn't want his father making another fuss and clinging onto him again because he visited him, and summarized everything else.

"We're going for a walk. Bye." With those words, the albino closed the door and left. He was sure that they would send somebody to follow then.

He had long gotten used on being followed, more so he was grateful since it seems like his ability to sense when there are people following him have improved. He was especially aware when the one following him is someone he doesn't know so this could help him in the near future.

"Front entrance. Good?" Hikaru always used a weird way of asking things.

Surprisingly, Kyoya had understood what the other meant and shook his head.

"Kusakabe is there." The man was the one who was always assigned to look after him, and was also the person who accompanied him to visit Hikaru.

Hikaru stopped and turned around a corner. He knew that if he exited the front door then Kyoya might bear a grudge to him for bringing Kusakabe-san along.

They stopped when they arrived in the garden and Hikaru let go of Kyoya's wrist. He walked close to a wall.

"Can you climb trees?"

Hikaru also had his share of escaping since there were days where he was bored. And so, he somehow learned to climb a tree.

He saw Kyoya nod and wasted no time to scale the tree, and jumped off of it, and landed on top of the wall.

Kyoya did the same, and they both jumped down, managing to slip through Kusakabe who was still waiting in the entrance of the Fujimoto household.

Li was disgruntled.

He had been lounging usually at the lobby of the Fujimoto household when he was suddenly called by Ekoda saying that he was being summoned by Shunji. While om the way to the office of the current Fujimoto head, he was warned by Ekoda to be careful since their boss looked to be in a bad mood.

Turns out, it was true.

The moment he entered the room, he was greeted by a grim-faced Shunji. He almost had a recollection of the times where Shunji stood in front at battles. Compared to those times, the Shunji now was more calm, very different as he now took on a face of a father.

Yet here he was faced with a boss that looked ready to go to war.

"You called, boss."

Shunji rested his throbbing forehead in his heads, letting out a long sigh.

"We have trouble... It seems like Hikaru had done one of his strolls once again, and even took Hibari Kyoya with him. Kusakabe has been panicking and I am too since I might face a very livid Himiko once she comes back from her business in Kyoto."

Hearing this, Li was not surprised anymore. That little kid was a terror in more ways than one. He thought that the only thing he should be worried about was how the child is a genius for his age, concerning his love for books, but then he had gone and inherited his mother's fearsome genes of having an abnormal strength.

"Also I don't know if that child had brought his umbrella with him. Please bring one just in case." Li slightly bowed and waited for Shunji to dismiss him.

"Find then as soon as possible. That's all." Li receded his bow and went out of the room. With quick strides he grabbed the brat's umbrella and decided to track the two children.

They're kids, they couldn't have gone that far.

... Oh, how he was so wrong with that thought.

( ・ ิ ω ・ิ )

Hikaru had reprimanded himself that despite having eidetic memory, he once again forgot to bring his umbrella with him and was stuck to using the hood of his jacket.

Too much exposure to the sun can be bad for him. Also, the child Kyoya was a bit slower than he had expected.

After scaling walls and running through streets that they don't recognize, the two gazed at where they were currently at.

Shops lined up next to each other, adults and children alike walked the streets and went out of the way whenever a vehicle passed by. They have arrived at a market.

"You know this place?" Hikaru asked

"No." Was the quick reply of Kyoya.

"Any money."

"None."

( ・ ิ ω ・ิ )

Okay, he admits that he was wrong and had underestimated the two brats.

Li traced the places at which Hikaru and Kyoya had been to. When he reached three blocks away from the house, he thought he would fins them still running those streets but he was wrong.

Then, he arrived at the park which was quite a distance and still didn't find the two.

The moment he was going to the road leading to town did he realize that Hikaru and Kyoya managed to easily get to a thirty minute walk market in just eighteen minutes.

But this was no time to be marvelling at the accomplishment of two three year old kids. He was more concerned if the two get into unnecessary trouble, especially Hikaru.

The moment he arrived at the market, he didn't even need to look for the two.

Just right there, sitting on one of the benches in front of an ice cream shop was the two brats that he have been searching for.

Completely unfazed at the stares they were receiving as they ate ice cream like they didn't just ran away without any chaperon.

When he was close enough, he could hear the conversation of the two.

"They're kind of nice."

"Un."

"They gave us ice cream."

"Yeah."

"For free." The two said at the same time, as two stoic faces stared at each other, though the Hibari still had that child-like ecxitedness in him.

Hikaru finished his cone and then held out his hand.

"Li. Umbrella."

In all honesty, Li wasn't that surprised anymore, he had gotten used to this weird kid. If he didn't confirm his abilities with Shunji, then he might've concluded that he was getting rusty, getting noticed by a kid and all. Asking about it might give him more headache than he already has, so he decided to just let it be.

"Seriously, you should quit going out without any escort, one of these days, the miss might find out and we will all get a hearing." Li said.

It was no joke, an angry Himiko was scarier than Shunji. He had no problem getting away from the earful, but he can't say the same to the other lackeys, especially the new ones.

"Sounds amusing." Hikaru lightly said as he got up and opened up his umbrella. This way, he could finally take off this hood.

"There's also problems concerning the branch family so really, quit it with your escapes just this month." Li and Hikaru made eye contact.

It was true that Hikaru had been hearing whispers about how the branch family of the Fujimoto has been active lately. A few of their lackeys had been spotted outside Namimori. They had been a bit quiet for about four years, so Shunji and Himiko, even Masuki has been watching their move, or so he had heard.

"Okay, this'll be the last time." Hikaru said with a bit of sincerity this time. If not for Kyoya, then he wouldn't have gone out, but if he didn't then this skylark might bear a grudge and bite him in the near future.

"Who's the old man?" Kyoya approached them, curious to who Hikaru was talking to.

"Li." And then Kyoya nodded as if that was enough of an explanation from Hikaru. This earned a sigh from the man, and he introduced himself enough for a child to understand who he was and what was his connection to Hikaru.

While this happened, as Hikaru lightly twirled the umbrella in his hands. He made himself look like a child curious of his surroundings to sweep through the area with his eyes.

He caught four suspicious-looking men, all wearing black shades, and keeps whispering to what seems to be an earpiece. They might've thought they were being sneaky, but seriously, wearing all black and going to a market with civilians, they stood out.

"Li." The man who had just finished his introduction to the Hibari turned his attention to Hikaru who called him.

"We should go back." Was all he said, and Lee did one glance at the market to know why the sudden order to go home.

"Don't wanna." Kyoya said with a bit of a glare and made Hikaru pause from his action of getting carried by Li.

The albino stared at the skylark and saw that this is really different from the Hibari Kyoya that he knew. It is acceptable since this is just a bratty three year old Kyoya, but he had no time to dawdle since they might be placed in a troublesome kidnapping case concerning two children of yakuza families. It will surely be the headlines if that happens.

Hikaru placed himself in Li's right arm.

"Grab him." He ordered Li, and the man did as he was told and carried a reluctant Hibari like a sack in his other side.

"You traitor, Hikaru, traitor, traitorr!!!"

"Put me down, old man!!!"

Ahh, he really was different from the Kyoya he knew.

With those thoughts, Hikaru decided to borrow Li's phone and snapped a few pictures of Kyoya that he could use in the future.

What a perfect blackmail material.

A/N:

• Himiko has super strength or something like that.

• The Fujimoto household decided that Hikaru is a genius and just let him be.
