1. This Is Where It All Begins

Inside a small cozy office room, a tall white man with a hefty build sat back in a brown leather office chair and instinctively typed away on his computer. His eyes were hazel and they glistened with the reflective light of his computer screen. A strand of his short but thick black hair flopped over his forehead. The man brushed it away, clicking through with his mouse after.

All of a sudden, the phone rang and the man immediately picked it up. "This is John Peralta, may I ask who is speaking?" he said, his voice charming and nice. He furrowed his bushy eyebrows as he listened carefully to what was being told to him. "So you're saying the networks are on board?"

John listened some more as he slowly grew a big smile, revealing his cleanly kept teeth. "Alright, that's awesome," he beamed. "I can't wait to get this show on the road. Season two of the Peralta Challenges will be all set... Thanks and you have a good day too."

With much enthusiasm, John hung up the phone feeling giddy. "Time for another fun summer," he said to himself, looking around his office before quickly going back to his computer. He clicked away some pages and opened up a document file. He typed up the first words: The Peralta Challenges Application Form...

Hey everyone, welcome to the start of a new SYOC story that I'm making. For those that do not know, The Peralta Challenges is a spin-off of Total Drama hosted by the man you just read, John Peralta. As also mentioned, this will be season two. Where's season one? Well that's a story with just my own OCs. So I thought as a fun idea for a sequel, I'd let others share theirs.

The premise is simple; The Peralta Challenges takes place on Bennington Island. A small island with a summer camp in Lake Michigan, just a few miles away from the city of Milwaukee. It's hosted by John Peralta and his family helps out a lot with the camp duties. The idea is that this is a more realistic take on the Total Drama formula, aiming to make this a legitimate summer camp experience with the competition as the driving factor for a lot of conflict.

So ideally, I want more realistic characters for this story. Nothing too cartoony or outlandish but big, bright personalities are welcomed. There are eighteen slots available for this and I'm not setting a particular gender quota or anything. Just as long as it isn't too lopsided, I'll accept whatever works best for this story. I will accept the first nine within the coming week and then set a deadline after, allowing enough time for those who haven't sent an app yet to do so. Last time, I was a little too quick with the accepting process and unfortunately some people barely missed out. I hope to give everyone an opportunity this time.

Also as a side note, this doesn't take place within the same universe as Metamorphia. So if you have a character in that and wish to send it again, you can. But I will say that I'd prefer it if you sent a different character instead.
