Dokusei waited at the station for Mina, not having the confidence to face her at her home, but she was cutting it close. The train was about to arrive.

He pulled out his phone to make sure he hadn't missed any new texts, but nothing new showed up. "Hey..." he heard her very hesitant voice from behind. "Sorry for being a little late..." Mina looked alright on the outside, but it was clear she was still hurting.

"You're fine, Mimi." He put up his phone. "Train is almost here." The sound of the train stopping was soon heard. "And there it is!"

The two hopped aboard and sat in an uncomfortable silence. Barely any words were said, even when Uraraka hopped aboard. "Hey, guys!" She walked up to the two of them.

"Hey, Care Bear." Dokusei got up and offered his seat to her.

"Thanks!" She took it and sat with Mina. "Man, USJ was crazy, huh!?" She pulled out her flip phone and pulled up a news feed. "It's still going on, and look, you can see our class!" She showed a picture of all of class 1-A, and it showed nearly everyone. Minus Midoriya.

"I don't remember getting our picture taken?" Dokusei looked closer at the picture. Many of them were clearly unaware of the camera, either being interviewed by police or being treated by paramedics. He saw himself being put in an ambulance. Mina was being interviewed but was looking at Dokusei being taken away.

"Not the most flattering picture of us..." Mina spoke up as Uraraka showed her.

Uraraka looked between the two. They were clearly uncomfortable with each other. Dokusei looked racked with guilt while Mina was filled with disappointment. "Are you two going to be ok?"

"Of course, those villains gave us a scare, but nothing we can't handle!" Mina was clearly trying to force her positive attitude onto the situation.

"She knows, Mina..." Dokusei said. "And we're working on it, Care Bear." He leaned on a pole. "Hopefully..." He muttered that last part.

The three of them were soon at UA, wondering who was going to teach them. "Who do you think is going to teach us today?" Tsuyu asked.

"Who knows, could still be Aizawa," Dokusei rattled off.

"Morning." Aizawa walked in, his arms and head more mummy than man.

Everyone was shocked and a couple looked at Dokusei. "I knew he was stubborn, but damn."

"Sir, are you alright?" Tsuyu asked, while Uraraka chimed in about him not looking alright.

"Don't concern yourself over me." He stood in front of the podium. "Besides, your fight has yet to finish."

The whole class became worried by what he meant, worrying about more villains. While Dokusei put some thoughts out. "Wait... isn't the..."

"The school's Sports Festival is fast approaching."

Dokusei snapped his fingers. "There it is!" Everyone else was realizing that UA was still a school.

As everybody got over that fact, Aizawa put to bed a question about the villains infiltrating the event. "With the school giving the green light, security has increased by five times and heros will be on duty patrolling the grounds of the stadium." He stared down at his students. "What you all should be worried about is taking this opportunity to push forward your hero career; we're not letting any villains stop that."

Mineta was shaking in his seat. "B-but can we stop it if villains do invade?"

Midoriya turned around. "Mineta, have you not seen the UA Sports Festival?"

"O-Of course I've seen it! It's just... I-"

"The UA Sports Festival is the biggest event in Japan," Aizawa interrupted him. "If not the world. Heroes all over the country will use this event to scout you all and give you internships, which depending on the hero, will help boost your career and help you gain the experience you desperately need."

The class began to talk among themselves, about the festival and its opportunities, while Dokusei leaned back in his chair and thought to himself. "I've never really decided what kind of hero I wanted to be..." Just as the bell for homeroom ended, he let another thought pass by. "Either way, I want to do my best and at least make my parents proud."

Lunch break arrived before anyone knew it. Dokusei was putting some things away and was off in his own little world. He barely heard Uraraka say his name. "Sumiteru... Deku... Iida..." The three looked at her. "Let's crush this sports festival!" She gave them the most determined, frightening, un-Uraraka-like face they had ever laid eyes on.

Dokusei let out a smile as he punched his fist into his palm. "Hell yeah! Didn't know you were so competitive, Care Bear!" As he said that, he failed to notice the strong look Mina was giving them.

Dokusei was walking to lunch with his friends when Midoriya asked Uraraka something. "Uraraka, why did you want to become a hero?"

Uraraka started rubbing the side of her head. "Umm... well to put it plainly, for the money..."

"Well... that's not what I expected..." Dokusei nearly tripped on his own two feet. "There's got to be more to that."

She put her hand to her face, "Man, sorry. I know it sounds lame. Like I'm not some pure hero..!" Her face became more red as she went on. "Iida especially is doing it for high-minded principles and stuff. I'm so embarrassed!"

"Don't be! There's nothing wrong with making sure you have a comfortable life!" Iida tried to reassure her with Midoriya agreeing.

"There's more to it, isn't there?" Dokusei spoke up.

"Y-Yeah... my parents own a construction company, but due to the market being as it is, we're flat broke... and..." She went quiet for a moment, remembering something, then suddenly looked at them with pure convention. "I'm going to become a hero and earn money without fail, and I'm going to give it to my mom and dad so they can live a comfortable life they deserve!"

Iida and Midoriya were speechless while Dokusei simply smiled at her. "Care Bear." He got her full attention. "That's one of the most noble things I've seen." He put his hand on her shoulder and smiled brightly at her

"Uraraka, bravo!" Iida clapped along.

"Ah ha! There you are!" All Might suddenly appeared. "Young Midoriya!" He pulled out a lunch box. "Care to have lunch with me?"

"Pfft! You sound like a schoolgirl!" Uraraka suddenly started laughing.

"Sure." Midoriya, like the rest of them, was confused.

As Dokusei and they stood in line for food, they started wondering about Midoriya. "What's going on with Deku?" Uraraka asked.

"Properly going to get scolded by him for what he did at USJ, just before Iida arrived. He jumped at the two villains while All Might was just standing there."

"Oh! Or it might be because his quirk is similar to All Might's!?" She slapped her first to her palm. "Just like Tsu said!"

"It's a stretch..." Dokusei shrugged as the line moved forward. "We'll find out afterwards." None of them noticed Todoroki eavesdropping on them.

School finally let out, but 1-A had a small problem. "What..." Uraraka stood in front of the doorway. "What the heck is going on!?" A mass of students were located in the hall, just outside of the classroom.

"Well now..." Dokusei looked at the mass. "I guess they are curious about us?"

"They're crowding the exit!" Mineta said. "What are they here for?"

"They're scoping out the competition, dumbass." Bakugo walked by with a little annoyance. "They want to see the class that fought off the villain attack." He walked up to the doorway. "You're in my way, so fuck off you damn extras!"

Dokusei facepalmed while Midoriya went into full shock, and Iida tried to "correct" Bakugo's behavior. "Stop calling people extras just because you don't know them!"

"So this is the hero course, huh?" A voice from the crowd spoke up. "I'll admit, I was curious about you kids, but I never thought you'd be so arrogant." Dokusei squinted his eyes as a boy pushed his way through. "Are all the kids in the hero course like this? Or is it just 1-A?" When he made it to the front, he was a boy of average height, purple hair so wild it defied the laws of gravity more than Uraraka's quirk, and purple eyes with bags under them that were only rivaled by Aizawa.

"What!?" Bakugo gave the boy an instant glare. Dokusei had to give the kid credit, he did not back down one bit.

"I'm a bit confused." He rubbed the back of his neck in disbelief. "This is it?"

"I'm not aiming to impress..." Dokusei muttered.

"A lot of the kids who failed to get in the hero course ended up in general studies or other departments." His disbelief slowly faded to a more serious glare, almost to Bakugo's level. "And depending on how the Sports Festival goes, people can come under review to transfer, and the reverse can happen as well."

Dokusei slowly walked up. "This guy..." He held his fists so tight, he was almost breaking his claws. "Thinks that all my hard work can be thrown out like trash..." He caught the last of the boy's speech.

"Consider this a declaration of war."

"Funny..." He wasn't laughing. "You think this is a game?" Dokusei got his attention as well. "That you can say all our hard work was for not?" He gave a dry chuckle. "Well news flash, buddy, there will always be someone better than you, in many ways." He walked up to the boy's face; blue and purple stared down each other. "If you want to beat them, better push yourself beyond what you have; that's the school's motto, isn't it? 'Go beyond, plus ultra!'" He gave him a smile. "So are you going to show me what you got, or is this all hot air, Bed Head?"

Everyone, even Bakugo, were taken back by Dokusei. If there was one way to set the boy off, besides threatening his friends, it would be to insult his progress and all he's accomplished.

"Hey! Hey!" another voice called out, further down the hall. He jumped into a student, showing off his gray hair and with tan (eyelashes?) things around his black eyes. "I'm from class B next door! And I came here to see the real deal, not some snot nosed brat-"

"Tetsutetsu, get off of them!" a female voice shouted at the class 1-B boy, as a giant hand grabbed his head and pulled him down.

The crowd of students parted like the red sea, showing a female student manhandling Tetsutetsu. She was just below average height, ginger hair in a high ponytail off to her left, and teal green eyes. She saw the crowd shifting and her eyes widened as she recognised someone. "Dokusei Sumiteru!"

He was still having a staring contest with the boy from gen-studies when his name was called. He looked towards the girl and instantly recognised her. "Itsuka Kendo!"

The two walked toward each other, then bowed with a first in their palm just in front of their heads. They both got out of the bow and shook hands. "Should have known you'd be here," Kendo spoke. "You have a fire I've rarely seen."

"I should be saying that." Dokusei let out a laugh. "It never occurred to me that you'd be at UA!" He gave her a smirk. "Ready to settle the score?"

She answered with her own smirk. "Oh, you know it!"

The two fist bumped and began catching up. All the while Mina grumbled at the sight.

"Ashido, are you ok?" Uraraka asked.

"Yeah. Totally fine," she replied bitterly. She wasn't jealous of Kendo, nope! Not at all. Dokusei could talk to any girl he wanted and befriend them. Totally normal. Even when he whispered something in her ear and she nodded along. TOTALLY NORMAL!

"Dammit... I got it bad..." she thought as her shoulders dropped.

The next day was the first day of Dokusei's two week prep for the Sports Festival. He was at Master Howl's new dojo, wearing his gi and doing some light stretching, waiting for something.

"Hey." And that something arrived.

"Didn't think you'd come." He got up and turned around, seeing Kendo in her own gi.

"And pass up the chance of beating you?" She smiled as she cocked her hip.

"Alright then." He walked over to a mat for sparing. "No quirks, if that's all right?" He stopped suddenly. "You did your stretching?"

She smiled. "Yes and yes," she said as she joined him on the mat. The two spared each other every day till the Sports Festival.
