Author's Note: Hello everybody. Sorry this took so long to get out. I just do not have nearly as much free time as I used to and likely won't get much more in the future. To make up for the long wait, I made this chapter much longer than I intended to.

Chapter 4: Instincts and a Challenger

Azur Lane/AMF Joint Fleet

It had been a day since the AMF team had joined up with the fleet. They had spent the previous day getting aquatinted with each other, reviewing Godzilla's battle with the Sirens, and learning the unfortunate truth of said kaiju's first reawakening in 1954. Dr. Serizawa was currently setting up equipment to study the swimming leviathan with the help of the Heron pilots. The ship girls learned that their names were Akane Yashiro, Ford Brody, Kiriko Tsujimori, and the commanding officer, Lieutenant Barnes. The kansen got along with all of them pretty fine. They had learned that Ozaki was in charge of keeping Miki and Serizawa safe and that he was part of the mutant special forces branch of the AMF.

Miki Saegusa got along the most with the kansen, but she particularly got along more with Amagi. They had learned Miki had telepathic abilities. Her and Amagi were standing next to each other at the edge of the deck, watching Godzilla swimming. Miki turned to Amagi. "Do you think you could get his permission for me to enter his mind?"

Amagi turned to her. "I can certainly try, but I can't guarantee that he'll agree to it. It took time before he accepted the fact that I was connected to his mind."

Miki nodded in understanding. "I expected as much. I just hope he eventually does let me so that I can help you with trying to stop the AMF from resorting to trying to kill him."

A voice interrupted their conversation from behind. "Ms. Saegusa, something tells me that he won't give us a choice when the time comes."

Ozaki walked up from behind and stood next to Miki as he kept his eyes on the beast. Miki glared a bit. "All of you in the military branch of the AMF think the only way to deal with any kaiju is to kill them. This was their world before it was ours."

Ozaki sighed as he looked to her. "They don't give us much of a choice. If left unchecked, kaiju are more dangerous threats than sirens."

Amagi looked to Ozaki. "You are correct that they're more dangerous than sirens but not all of them are as bad as you think. Some of them watch over and protect us, you just don't know it because they haven't felt the need to in a while."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Amagi smiled a bit. "Take Mothra for example, she brought me back from the dead because she wanted me to help Gojira with a future threat she knows will come."

Ozaki sighed. "That's another thing, what is this threat you say Mothra claims will come?"

"Unfortunately, I was never told what this threat is. All I know is that Gojira is the only one that will be able to stop it when the time comes."

Miki looked back to Gojira. "I hope we can avoid any conflict with him at least until that time comes."

Serizawa and the escort team had finished setting up the equipment. He sat down on a chair, turned on all the machinery, and observed the data he was receiving. He looked in awe and wonder at what the machines had scanned. "This is incredible. It's just like we theorized."

Akane stared curiously. "What is it doctor? What did you find?"

"Gojira's body contains high levels of radiation. It's as if his heart is an organic nuclear reactor."

Z23 gained a serious expression. "That doesn't sound good, if he were to reach a city, he would leave it uninhabitable to humans."

Kiriko agreed. "Which is why we have to make sure he doesn't make landfall in any areas inhabited by humans."

Takao held a questioning gaze. "How exactly are we going to do that, if I may ask? There's nothing we can do to hurt him."

Kiriko looked to her. "It's true we can't repel him by force, but we can lure him away with bait."

"What kind of bait would he go after?", Z23 asked.

"It's simple. Gojira is extremely aggressive, especially when attacked. We either use mass produced ships to attack him and have him give chase, or, since he is specifically hunting them, use captured Siren ships."

Barnes walked up to the group. "We would first need to find Siren ships to capture."

Akane looked confident. "That shouldn't be much of an issue. Now that the AMF is partnering with Azur Lane and Crimson Axis, fighting Sirens should be less difficult."

Prince of Wales looked skeptical. "How is the AMF going to be able to help against the Sirens?"

Kiriko looked to Barnes as if she was asking permission for something. He nodded and Kiriko looked to the kansen. "The AMF specializes in fighting kaiju, so naturally most of our tech is made for that in mind."

Akane continued for her. "The Sirens may have advanced tech, but it's obvious they have yet to design weapons capable of hurting kaiju. Our weapons would make quick work of most Siren ships."

"Not to mention the eggheads in the R and D department are already producing prototypes for more powerful weapons to use against the more powerful kaiju." Ozaki said after he had caught the tail end of the conversation after walking up with Amagi and Miki in toe.

Wales had a stern look. "So all this time we've been struggling to push back the Sirens, you've had the power to be able to match them?"

The other kansen looked toward the AMF members in skepticism or distrust. Barnes let out a sigh. "It wasn't our call to make. If you have issues with it, you'll have to take it up Naval HQ and AMF's top brass."

Before the conversation could continue, they heard a low rumbling growl from Godzilla. They looked towards the beast. He was starting to gain speed and getting ahead of the fleet. Amagi looked into his mind to see what he was doing.

"He senses a siren presence."

Hornet looked towards her. "What!? How!? None of our sensors or radars are picking anything up."

Takao tightened the grip on her katana. "They must be jamming our equipment."

Serizawa nodded. "You might be correct. The sensor is no longer picking up Gojira's radiation signature."

Hornet adjusted her hat. "Alright, guess that means we need to get ready too. Come on girls!"

Hornet summoned her rigging. She was followed by Helena, Laffey, and Javelin all summoning their riggings as well. Z1 looked to Z23. "Should we join them?"

Z23 shrugged. "It is Sirens after all."

They both joined Hornet with their riggings as well. Ayanami looked to Atago and Takao. The former looking to the latter. "Well sister? Shall we?"

Takao shook her head. "I'd rather not risk incurring Gojira's wrath. Besides, Akagi is our flagship."

Akagi smiled in amusement. "You made a wise choice Takao. It would be best to stand back and let the Ocean God deal with the threat, but as a precaution for any stragglers that get by, keep your riggings ready."

Takao nodded. "Understood."

Back with Hornet, they were getting ready to jump onto the water before Wales stopped them.

"Wait. We don't know what we're up against yet, and it would be wise to stay with the fleet so no one gets caught in Godzilla's attacks by mistake."

Hornet turned around to face her. "Then what do we do?"

Wales looked to Godzilla's spines slicing through the water. "We wait on standby around Akagi's rigging to protect the AMF. Destroy any Siren that decides to come after us instead of him."

After that, Wales summoned her rigging and signaled for the others to deploy. One by one, they jumped off the deck and onto the water's surface. Wales and Hornet were the last to jump.

Once they were all on the water, they got into formation with the cruiser and destroyers in the front and Wales and Hornet in the rear.

Back on Akagi's deck, the group was watching Godzilla. Brody looked to Amagi. "What is it he's sensing?"

Amagi didn't take her eyes off the kaiju. "I don't know for sure, and neither does he. But it is most definitely siren in origin."

Godzilla suddenly stopped. Slowly, the top half of his body rose out of the water. He snarled as he looked around, focusing his senses to pinpoint the location of whatever he was sensing. When he was finally able to point it out, he let out a roar. His eyes locked onto the spot in the water and began charging up.

Ford asked in confusion, "What's he aiming at?"

Amagi stared at the same spot Godzilla was. "I'm not sure, all I know is he can sense the presence of something there."

Godzilla opened his maw and the beam shot forward. It reached the spot and stopped in the air as if it had hit something. A second later, the beam pierced through and into the water as several explosions and a fire erupted. A strange device was revealed and upon its destruction, cracks in the air formed as if it were made of glass. Then the cracks dissipated.

Suddenly, there was an entire Siren fleet in front of the kansen and Godzilla. The leviathan let out a roar in challenge and began to charge head on towards the fleet.

Miki, shocked and confused, asked, "What did he just destroy and where did that fleet come from?"

Takao tightened her grip on her katana. "We sailed right into a mirror sea and never noticed. We were almost ambushed."

Akagi let out a short laugh. "No, Takao, while it is true we never detected the trap, it was never meant for us. They're testing their newest and most dangerous enemy."

After hearing this, Serizawa looked in awe at Godzilla yet again. "Remarkable instincts, his senses were telling him something wasn't right and was able to pinpoint the source of the disturbance."

Akagi had a sadistic look on her face. "Yes, doctor, remarkable power indeed. The Sirens' tricks may be able to fool many of us, they, however, will find it next to impossible to fool the Ocean God of Destruction."

Godzilla used his dorsal fins to slice through many Siren ships and stopped in the middle of the fleet. The top half of his body rose from the water and his spines flashed blue. He opened his jaws and the signature blue beam shot forward, impacting and piercing through a Siren cruiser. He then slowly turned clockwise, waving the beam across multiple other ships and destroying them.

Wales and her group were standing by watching for any sirens coming for them while simultaneously watching Godzilla decimate the fleet in front of them. Hornet whistled. "Sure don't get used to seeing the big guy fight, if you could call it that."

Wales nodded. "Yes, and it's amazing, yet terrifying, that he was able to detect that we were in a mirror sea."

Helena, with a fearful look, said, "Not even my radar and sensors were able to detect it."

Hornet adjusted her hat. "Something else I've noticed. The Sirens haven't really changed tactics besides using a mirror sea against Godzilla."

Wales' eyes narrowed. "You're right. They should know by now that standard mass produced ships and weapons don't work."

Z23 asked in confusion, "Then what is their goal here?"

Wales replied, "The mirror sea could be just to see how Godzilla reacts to being inside one, but the fleet itself is something else."

Back with Godzilla's slaughter of the sirens, he slammed his tail through the middle of a battleship and clawed his way through a destroyer. Suddenly, he was caught by surprise as several explosions impacted the lower half of his body underwater. He let out a roar of surprise before growling angrily. He dove beneath the water's surface and saw several Siren submarines.

Godzilla snarled in frustration. He had been too focused on the surface fleet to notice the presence of an underwater fleet. He shot forward with great speed. Torpedoes were launched at the charging beast. The resulting explosions did little to slow him down.

On the surface, everyone saw plumes of water launch into sky. Miki, being unfamiliar with naval warfare, asked, "What's going on now?"

Atago answered, "A submarine attack, and by the looks of it, Gojira was so focused on the surface fleet that he failed to notice them."

Takao responded, "And like all other attacks, they will fail."

As if on queue, a Siren submarine was launched out of the water and hit two destroyers, causing several explosions and they all began sinking. Akane shook her head before saying, "That is quite the power, easily tossing a ship like it's nothing."

Out of nowhere, several explosions go off around the Azur Lane fleet. Everyone covered their faces with their arms to keep sea water from getting in their eyes. When the barrage was over, they all looked to the source of the attack.

It was a humanoid siren with rigging that looked similar to a hammerhead shark surrounded by several floating cannons. She had a long ponytail and wore a crop top sailor's shirt, black short shorts, and a head band that made it look like she had black and yellow horns. She was floating in the air above the front of the fleet.

Kaga sneered, "It's Purifier, perhaps the fleet was merely to draw Gojira's attention so she could come after us."

Ozaki and the rest of the AMF personnel pulled out their pistols and aimed at Purifier. Miki and Serizawa instinctively hid behind the group. Takao, Atago, and Ayanami summoned their riggings and aimed at Purifier as well.

Purifier started laughing historically. "Hahahaha, looks like there's humans in this fleet as well, how exciting!"

"What the hell do you want Siren?!", yelled Hornet.

Purifier rolled her eyes. "Oh you know, the usual, gathering data on a new enemy."

Ozaki's eyes narrowed. "Then why take pot shots at us."

Purifier laughed a bit. "Obviously to take out some enemies that I for sure can do damage to. You think I'd be dumb enough to take on the literal King of the Monsters and head of the longest running film franchise in history?"

Everyone just looked confused after that statement. Upon seeing their reactions, Purifier facepalmed. "I forgot, you guys don't have the power for that."

Ozaki groaned. "Alright, I've heard enough."

He fired several shots at the siren's rigging, the rounds bounced off the armor harmlessly. The kansen then began to fire their own weapons. Purifier started dodging and weaving around the shots and used her rigging to shield herself from the AMF's pistol fire. "Oh come on! I wasn't done talking!"

Kaga summoned her rigging and walked to the edge of the deck and looked down to Hornet. "Sister of the Grey Ghost! Let's combine our air power!"

Hornet nodded and replied, "Don't have to tell me twice!"

The two carriers sent a wave of fighters towards Purifier. She used her drones to shoot down the swarm and used her main rigging to target the girls currently in the water. The kansen had no choice but to dodge and weave around the siren's more powerful attacks.

Unfortunately, a few shots hit close enough to deal some damage to a couple of the destroyers. Javelin and Z23 were launched off their feet and hit the water's surface hard. Wales and Z1 yelled out simultaneously.

"Javelin!"

"Nimi!"

They sped towards their downed companions. The rest of the kansen covered them. Wales inspected Javelin for injuries while Z1 did the same for Z23. Wales asked, "What's your status Javelin, Z23?"

Javelin groaned as she rubbed her head. "Other than a bad headache right now and some light damage to my rigging, I think I'm fine."

Z23 was helped up by Z1 as she replied, "Light damage to my rigging as well."

Z1 nodded as she said, "We're very fortunate you two didn't take direct hits."

Wales helped Javelin up then said, "Good to hear, but we're going to need to come up with a new strategy fast. Nothing we're doing is doing any significant damage to her."

The moment of recovery was short lived as more shots from Purifier started hitting too close for comfort. The group split up in different directions to avoid the incoming fire.

Back with the AMF on Akagi's deck, Ozaki had seen the close call. He turned towards Barnes and said, "At rate we're going, we're gonna suffer some serious casualties. Keep that thing distracted while I go even the playing field."

Barnes nodded and Ozaki turned towards Akagi. "Think you can give a hand with some fighters?"

Akagi grinned sadistically before saying, "Of course I can. I am part of the First Carrier Division after all."

Ozaki, satisfied with the answer, ran off towards the Griffon. Ayanami watched him and looked towards Barnes before asking, "What's he doing?"

Barnes smirked a bit. "He's about to use some of our kaiju fighting power against that siren."

Purifier was steadily growing agitated as she knew the longer the fight was drawn out, the less time she had left before Godzilla would be finished with the fleet and focus his attention towards her. "Alright, as fun as this was, I'm going to have end this now as I'm a little short on time."

Purifier snapped her fingers and several portals made of purple light appeared behind her. A swarm of siren fighters and bombers flew out of them and towards the fleet.

The siren began to laugh maniacally when she saw the horrified expressions of the ship girls in the water. The laughter stopped when half of the swarm was taken out by a volley of golden plasma bolts. The rest of the swarm was targeted by some of Akagi's fighters. The siren looked towards the source of the plasma volley and gasped in excitement.

"Oh my gosh, you humans really know how to make awesome kaiju fighting weapons!", Purifier practically screamed with excitement.

Hovering in front her was the Griffon. Ozaki said over the radio towards the siren, "Yeah, and they excel at turning sirens into scrap."

Purifier cackled at that. "Oh ho ho ho, I like your confidence, human!"

Ozaki prepared to fire until he noticed something behind the siren. He radioed to all the kansen. "Guess it's time to pull back for now, someone else has a bone to pick with the siren."

Ozaki turned the Griffon around and flew back towards Akagi's rigging. Hornet along with the others in the water slowly backed away. Purifier looked confused until she heard the sound of rushing water behind her and a dark shadow appeared above her. The siren visibly gulped with a look of worry as she slowly turned around.

Hornet laughed a bit before shouting towards the siren. "Siren, meet Big-G! Big-G, meet Siren!"

Purifier was staring face to face with an angry Godzilla. He had finished disposing of the ambush fleet and now only one pest remained for him to exterminate. She nervously laughed and waved at the titan. "Heyyyy Big Guy, um, I'm a huge fan of yours."

Godzilla snarled as he slowly inched his head closer and let out a menacing growl. Purifier slowly hovered away as she felt the heat of the titan's breath release from his nostrils. "So I'd love to stay and chat, but I'm kind of short on time."

Godzilla roared as he prepared to lunge at the siren. Before he could, multiple explosions impacted all over his back and he roared in surprise. A swarm of siren bombers flew overhead from behind him. Purifier took advantage of the distraction and flew through a portal that opened up nearby. Wales cursed under her breath before saying, "She summoned more bombers so she could escape."

Hornet kicked at the water. "Damn it! We were so close to taking her out."

Godzilla roared in frustration as explosions continued to impact around his body. His spines flashed blue before he let loose a beam of atomic breath and waved it across the sky to take out the bombers. He roared towards the sky as the flaming remains of siren bombers rained down around him.

Ozaki kept the Griffon hovering above Akagi's rigging as he watched the scene. He decided he'd seen enough and radioed towards the kansen still deployed in the water. "Hey girls, let's stay out of the big guy's way and get back aboard Akagi, but keep those riggings ready in case any other surprises come our way."

Wales looked towards the rest of the ship girls and nodded before responding, "Aye Aye, that would be the best option right now."

As they prepared to head back to Akagi, Helena stopped as she put a hand to her head. "Hold on, I'm picking up another contact."

Wales looked towards the light cruiser in worry. "More sirens?"

Helena shook her head before saying, "It's below the surface but moving almost as fast as Godzilla."

Wales looked confused for a moment before her eyes widened. "We need to get back to Akagi NOW!"

Onboard the Akagi, Miki and Amagi both looked to each other with widened eyes. Amagi was the first to speak, "You feel it too?"

Miki nodded and said, "Yes, it didn't take long for another to appear."

They looked towards Godzilla and noticed he was looking in another direction with a snarl and letting out a menacing growl, his muscles tensing up in anticipation. Barnes asked in confusion, "What is it now, more sirens?"

Amagi replied as she looked in the same direction Godzilla was looking. "No, the first challenger since his awakening is approaching."

Akagi laughed in excitement. "Yes, now we can see how our mighty God of Destruction earned the title King of the Monsters!"

Akane and Kiriko both looked at the crazed kitsune with concern. Kaga sighed when she noticed and said quietly as she leaned towards them, "She's always been like this, it's gotten worse since Gojira arrived."

The group that was in the water hopped on the deck one at a time with Hornet and Wales being the last ones aboard. Laffey and Z1 helped Javelin and Z23 move towards the AMF group as the fatigue and pain from their injuries set in. The group watched as Godzilla roared out in challenge at whatever he was sensing.

The sea in front of the leviathan began to rise as a dark shadow appeared in the water. The water burst open and the creature responsible rose from the water. An ear piercing shriek followed.

"EERRRRRRNT!"

The beast that dared challenge Godzilla was a giant crustacean. It was similar to a mix of a lobster and crawfish. It had a dark red spiky carapace with large, long, sharp pincer claws and big soulless black eyes. It was only slightly smaller than Godzilla. It waved its claws around in front of it and let out another shriek.

Godzilla snorted before slamming his tail through the water and roared in challenge. He showed no signs of fear or backing down, for he was familiar with this species.

Meanwhile, the AMF and Azur Lane were watching in anticipation for battle soon to commence. Hornet stepped next to Serizawa. "So Doc, got a name for this overgrown lobster?"

The doctor was cut off by Amagi before he could respond. "Ebirah, the Sea Terror. From what I am understanding in his memories he is showing me, Gojira has experience in fighting him."

Takao placed her sheathed katana point down and rested her hands on top of the hilt. "In other words, this battle may be a short one."

Serizawa nodded, "Yes, many studies and artifacts we have found tell stories of Gojira fighting many other kaiju to keep his reign as an alpha. Ebirah has been shown as one of the few to challenge him on many occasions."

Kaga never took her eyes off the two sea monsters, keeping her usual stoic expression but was giddy with excitement for watching a fight between titanic warriors. "I must give some respect to the bug, it takes a lot of courage to face a foe that has repeatedly bested you."

Back to the stare down, Godzilla waited patiently. He decided he would let Ebirah have the first move this time. The lobster's impatience gave him exactly that. Ebirah let out a shriek and charged forward with a claw raised. Godzilla roared and moved to meet the attack. He caught the claw with both hands and prepared to throw him, but Ebirah anticipated it and slammed the other claw against his head. Godzilla reared back as he let go of the claw and roared in annoyance.

Ebirah lunged forward and wrapped his right claw around Godzilla's neck. Godzilla grabbed both sides of the claw with both arms and shot a short blast of atomic breath into the crustacean's face. Ebirah let out a pained shriek as he shook from side to and loosened his grip on Godzilla. The leviathan took the opportunity to pull the claw off his neck and used the claw to slowly start swinging Ebirah around.

The crustacean shrieked in surprise as he felt himself being swung around and steadily gaining momentum. He started to use his other claw like a club to bash against Godzilla out of desperation. If Godzilla was feeling pain from the blows, he didn't show it because he continued to swing Ebirah around.

Hornet couldn't believe what she was seeing. "There's no way he's going to throw that thing while being half submerged in water with no leverage to stand on!"

Before anyone else could reply, Godzilla made a full 360 rotation and forcefully pulled himself the other way as the shoulder joint of Ebirah's claw gave out and tore apart. The crustacean shrieked in pain as he flew through the air and away a few miles. Godzilla was still holding the severed claw arm and let out a roar in triumph.

Amagi didn't take her eyes off the leviathan as she said, "It may have seemed to be an impossible feat to accomplish, but he did it with sheer strength and willpower."

Wales nodded in agreement as she commented, "And to the victor, go the spoils."

As the royal battleship said this, they witnessed Godzilla bite down the middle of the the claw and crack open the carapace. He spat out the pieces of shell he ripped off with his mouth and began to dig into the meat inside the shell. He would rip out huge chunks and swallow them whole. Serizawa sat down in a chair and looked at the screens of his scanners. He looked back up at Godzilla and said, "He has had low energy reserves due to his long hibernation and has since used some of those reserves since his awakening. This is simply a snack to tide him over until he finds a better source of energy to consume or absorb."

Akane looked towards the doctor. "What are you implying when you say it like that, doctor?"

Serizawa pushed the glasses up on his face as he said with a serious expression, "Radiation. If he feels himself running low on energy, he will hunt down the nearest source of it or something else he could use as a substitute."

Amagi clarified on what the doctor was saying, "He's saying Gojira will go to the closest nuclear power plant or possibly the closest Siren power facility to feed on the pure forms of energy."

Ozaki walked up to the group as he had landed the Griffon once the titan battle was over and overheard their conversation. "That means we need to figure out if a nuclear plant is the closest source of energy to us. We will need to evacuate that area and prepare a defense force to repel him."

Akagi glared in anger as she locked eyes with Ozaki. "You would dare deny our god and savior his sustenance."

Akane stood next to Ozaki and said, "Gojira isn't the kind of god you think he is."

Amagi stepped in to keep the tension from rising any further. "Akagi, stand down. I don't like the thought of it just as much as you, but there are innocent lives that don't deserve the wrath of Gojira."

Akagi's expression turned to a pleading look. "But Sister, he saved u-"

The carrier was cut-off by her elder sister. "Saving everyone from the sirens was not his intention. Gojira cares little for the lives of others with very few exceptions. His current focus is the extermination of all sirens, and he will go through anyone and anything to complete that mission."

Akagi looked as if she still didn't want to back down, but she relented and sighed in defeat. Without saying anything else, the kitsune turned around and walked off with a noticable droop in her fox ears. Kaga turned to Amagi and said, "You know she still isn't convinced, she more than likely doesn't care if Gojira kills innocents to complete his goals."

Amagi sighed deeply before replying, "Yes, that is something I'm going to work on her with, and most definitely try to work on with Gojira as well, no matter how hard it will be."

Before the conversation could continue, a low rumbling growl could be heard. Javelin had a fearful look as she pointed a shaky finger. "Um, he's looking right at us."

Everyone turned to look at the leviathan to see that Godzilla was indeed looking at them. However, Amagi knew who he was specifically staring at as she made eye contact. When Godzilla saw he had the kitsune's attention, he let out a low, short roar. Amagi sighed as she knew what his message was.

Amagi stepped away from the group and towards the edge of the deck. She turned towards them as they all had confused expressions. "I am deeply sorry, but this is where we part ways. Gojira wishes to leave and make haste to his next destination."

Ozaki stepped forward and asked, "What is his intended target?"

Amagi shook her head as she replied, "I do not know, he will not tell, and I doubt he even knows other than what his senses tell him."

Akagi and Kaga both moved close to their elder sister. Akagi hugged her tightly. "Please don't leave me again."

Amagi smiled softly as she returned the hug and motioned for Kaga to join them. The latter hesitantly did so. Amagi patted both of them on the back. "I'm sorry you two, but I have no choice, without Gojira's presence here, I would not be able to maintain this physical form. It was good seeing you again, and I don't foresee this being the last time."

Amagi pulled away from the embrace and jumped off the side and landed on the water's surface. She instantly started to speed towards the waiting form of Godzilla. Once she was close enough, the beast turned away and slowly dove forward. Amagi then dissipated her physical form in a bright, blue light and entered Godzilla's mind. Godzilla then picked up speed as he fully submerged himself beneath the waves.

Barnes looked to Kiriko and said, "Contact HighCom, and let them know we lost Godzilla and he's on the move."

Kiriko nodded and ran off towards her heron. Barnes looked to the kansen. "I know he's moving too fast for us to keep up, but let's at least head in the same direction he went."

With that, the kansen had all unequipped their riggings and the full forms of the ships appeared around Akagi's rigging. The fleet then pushed for full speed in the same direction Godzilla had left. Kiriko ran back to the group. She had a serious look as she said, "He's headed straight for Sendai, and we all know there's only one reason he'd be headed there."

Meanwhile, at the Sendai Nuclear Plant

Two reactor operators were on their work break. They stood outside on a scaffolding overlooking the ground below and had a view of the sea. They could see dark clouds forming together and moving towards land. One of them said, "Looks like a nasty storm forming."

The other said, "Yeah, and I don't like the feeling I'm getting from it"

A low rumbling of thunder sounded. They could not know the storm would hide the presence of a far more destructive force of nature.

Author's Note: Seems things are getting more serious for Azur Lane and AMF. Also I hope you liked my pick for the first kaiju fight of the story.

Next update may or may not take as long. It all depends on when I get free time or I don't get distracted playing games during said free time.
