Dokusei had to give the dude credit; Kirishima lasted a lot longer than most. But Bakugo used an inherent weakness against his quirk and exploited it to the extreme.

"He lasted longer than me..." Ochako said as Dokusei got up. "Oh! Good luck, we'll be cheering you on!"

"Thanks, Care Bear." He gave her a smile, before heading down. "This is going to be my toughest fight..." He heard Mic calling for the next match. "Every plan I've come up with... ends with me frozen like a popsicle..." He rounded the corner and heard the crowd going wild. Walking up, he heard Mic doing his announcements, but barely paid any mind. "I'll just have to wing it and hope to God I don't get hit instantly... or I could try that..."

As Dokusei looked at his opponent, he saw something that might give him a chance. "He's distracted...!" He got into his fighting stance. Thinking about it now, he never saw Todoroki return to the stands after his fight with Midoriya. "I didn't see him in the med center... so where was he...?"

"Ready!?" Mic's voice broke Dokusei out of his thoughts. "START!"

Dokusei felt the cold air before the ice reached him, his only warning. He dove to the side as a massive iceberg appeared right where he was standing.

Not wasting any time, Dokusei bolted towards his opponent, but had to dodge away from another mountain of ice sailing towards him. "Damnit..."

"Todoroki is playing keep away with Sumiteru, hoping to ensnare him in his ice, but Sumiteru is light on his feet and closing in!" Present Mic gave the play by play.

Dokusei launched himself to the side as another wave of ice came past; he hid behind a glacier. He broke off a piece of ice, dripped some venom on it, and broke cover. As soon as he saw Todoroki, he threw the shard as hard as he could.

The attack came as a surprise to Todoroki; he barely got his head out of the way. However he felt it cut his cheek, just under his scar. A numbing sensation soon followed, answering the question he was about to ask.

Dokusei wasted no time, rushing his opponent before he realized what happened. He got about halfway there, before he had to move out of the way of another surge of ice, but this didn't stop him.

"Sumiteru managed to use Todoroki's ice against him!" Mic wouldn't shut up. "Will this give the opening that Sumiteru needs!?"

That answer was no. Dokusei was pushed back with another wave. He hid behind it again, and this time, started climbing. Once he reached its peak, he slid down at a fast speed. "I have no real choice... I'll just have to time this right..."

Todoroki sent more ice his way, but Dokusei had a plan. Whether he knew it or not, he was pulling a Midoriya. "Adrenaline Overload!" he yelled out as he sent a kick to the wall of ice, shattering a big enough hole for him to keep flying through.

"DOKUSEI, NO!" Mina shouted in horror as she went to the railing.

"Ashido, what's wrong?" Ochako asked.

"Stop... you have to stop, it almost killed you last time!" She shouted. "The boost isn't worth it!"

Dokusei landed a kick to Todoroki's surprised face, sending him flying, but Todoroki put up an ice wall to keep him from going out of bounds. As Dokusei landed, blood came spewing from his mouth, but he changed anyway, his vision was tunneling, the veins on his face were pure black. "Can't stop..."

"Ashido, what are you talking about?" Ochako asked again, worry filling their whole class.

Mina took a deep breath. "Dokusei just delivered a toxin to himself that affects his adrenal glands, and overloads his body with adrenaline" –tears started to build up in her eyes– "but his body can't handle how much he produces, plus the toxins itself destroys anything in its way as it gets to the glands..." She couldn't take her eyes away from the match, even as the tears fell.

Dokusei reached Todoroki with a fist pulled back but Todoroki moved out of the way as Dokusei's fist embedded into the ice wall. The skin on his arms was peeling away, blood staining his uniform. "Can't stop yet..." Dokusei pulled his arm out. His vision was getting blurry now, everything screamed in pain as he rushed again.

But this time he could barely get a step forward as his face rushed towards the ground. Midnight had removed her sleeve, knocking out Dokusei before he could do more damage to himself. "Dokusei is unfit to continue, Todoroki advances to the final round!" She let out a sigh as the medical bots rushed in, and hauled Dokusei to Recovery Girl.

Midoriya was woken up by the door slamming open and seeing Dokusei being rushed in and set in a bed, while Recovery Girl worked like a mad woman. He looked around, seeing a girl from class B, Kendo. "What happened..." he asked; his voice was fairly hoarse.

"Sumiteru pulled a you," she answered, clearly displeased.

"A what?" he asked, clearly not following.

She let out a sigh, and sat up more. "Sumiteru used a toxin that is very dangerous to him, makes him on par with me in terms of power and doubles his speed." She fixed the rag over her eye. "But it literally destroys his body from the inside out when he uses it. He almost died last time..."

Midoriya could tell she was there the last time Dokusei did this. "Is... he going to be alright...?"

"I don't know..." She let the rag fall; she needed a new one, but it could clearly wait. "Recovery Girl is working fast, so were the other doctors... I can only guess how his parents are feeling right now..."

Midoriya's eyes started to droop down. "You should go back to sleep. He's not going anywhere any time soon," Kendo told him as she laid down.

Even though he was tired, sleep did not come easily. Recovery Girl came up and checked on them, giving Kendo a new rag and replacing his IV bag. "He'll be alright," she told him. "I'll just have to keep an eye on him." With that Midoriya went back to sleep.

The first thing Dokusei noticed when he woke up was pain. A lot of pain, every nerve, every muscle, even breathing brought pain. "Fuck..." Mina was on one side of the bed and both his folks on the other. Both Mina and his mother were holding his hands. "What time is it...?" He tried to look around but he couldn't see a clock and turning his head brought a lot of pain. "It looks like I'm back in Recovery Girl's office in the main building..." He could tell that the lighting of the room was dark. "So I guess I missed the rest of the festival..." He let out a pain filled sigh.

Mina began to stir awake; she was still in her PE uniform, but there were two bags near her, probably full with their clothes. The moment she saw Dokusei awake, she tackled him in a hug, despite his grunt of pain. This caused his parents to wake up as well.. "You promised..." she whispered as she buried her face into his shoulder.

"I know..." he whispered back.

His parents didn't say anything, but knew these two needed to be alone, so they stepped outside to inform someone at this late hour.

"Then why?" She pulled away.

"Pokéball was too strong for me, and I thought I could handle it..." He looked away.

"And you thought it was a good idea to try...?!" Yeah she was angry now, and Dokusei had nowhere to hide.

"No, I knew it was a horrible idea." He finally looked back at her, seeing tears running down her face, but also anger. "I had to do something if it meant I could win."

"And if you did win, you would have been disqualified by not being able to continue!" Both of their voices were beginning to raise. "It's five in the morning right now! How would you be able to compete if you did win?!"

"I didn't think of the aftermath, just the there and now..." Dokusei's voice went quiet at that.

Mina backed away and sat in her seat. "Uraraka was worried." Dokusei just raised an eyebrow. "Iida had a family emergency, Midoriya destroyed his body against Todoroki, and then you nearly got yourself killed." She rubbed her face. "She was a worried wreck, and Recovery Girl wouldn't let us in; by the time your parents came, she already left." She let her hands fall onto the bed. "I tried to keep her from leaving, but she either didn't hear or wouldn't..."

Dokusei just looked up at the ceiling, and let out a sigh. "I am such a dick."

Mina fought back a snort. "Yeah you can be." She then started to get nervous about something. "Do... do you like her...?"

"Oh shit..." Dokusei immediately knew what she meant. He tried to take a deep breath, only getting about half of what he wanted, before the pain was too much. "She is attractive, very sweet and kind. But I don't know if I like her in that way..." He put his hand to his arm. "Besides... She into Mordy... not me... not a villain reject..." he unknowingly said this aloud.

Mina saw the defeated look on his face, before she sighed and grabbed his hand again. "Well it's her loss if she can't see it." Dokusei was kind of questioning her then he realized he said his thoughts out loud.

"Yeah..." He rubbed his face, fatigue still there. "Is it really five in the morning?"

She checked her phone. "It's more like midnight, but you get what I was saying."

Dokusei let out a sigh. "Whelp, got my ass chewed out by you, next is mom, Recovery Girl, and maybe Aizawa."

"Well you did scare a lot of people pulling that stunt."

"I blame Mordy; he's setting a bad example for all of us." The two let out a laugh, though Dokusei stopped just as quickly as it arrived, the pain getting too much for any form of laughter. "Ugh... this sucks..."

"Well, if you didn't use a toxin that makes every other toxin in your body go absolutely crazy. You wouldn't be in this position." Recovery Girl made her way in with Dokusei's parents right behind her.

Dokusei gave her an uneasy smile. "And here I thought you were heartless." He didn't even flinch when he saw her cane coming towards his head, with a bone rattling WACK. "Yep... I deserved that..." he said as he rubbed his head.

"Ma'am, I know our son pulled a stupid stupid stunt, but I don't think hitting him will help his condition," Robun spoke up.

He quickly shut up when Recovery Girl gave him a fierce look. Making him hide behind Higa, who was giving an equally fierce look to her son.

Recovery Girl looked back at Dokusei. "You're lucky I was able to get to you as fast as I did, any longer and you might not have any movement in your body."

"Right..." Dokusei sighed. "I need to figure out what's causing that deadly chain reaction..."

"If it were up to me, I would forbid you from using that blasted toxin all together."

"Aizawa will say otherwise..." If he could see the potential, his teacher most definitely will.

She sighed and pinched her brow. "Yes, I know..." She looked at him and patted his hand. "Just keep the dosage as small as possible."

"That was a small dosage."

"How much did you use?" his mother asked.

"Quarter of an ounce... the first time, I used a full ounce." Dokusei rattled his head a bit, trying to remember the first time.

"So it's not the amount you're using..." Recovery put her hand to her chin.

"It's everything else," he finished for her. "I even used my neutralizing compound with it, but even with that, I nearly keeled over."

"So you have to make everything from scratch," Mina added.

"Yep."

Recovery Girl shook her head before going over Dokusei's medical procedures, asking what he was feeling and how well he was. It was mostly just muscle pain similar to an extreme workout. "You'll be discharged in the morning if you don't do anything stupid beforehand." She flipped through a clipboard. "I recommend you stay here for the night, but I do understand if you want to be discharged early and go home."

"I think it's best you stay here; never know with this stuff," his father commented.

Higa nodded along. "As much as I want to bring my baby home, I don't want anything else happening for a while."

Dokusei sighed. "Looks like you're stuck with me, Doc."

"How tragic," she replied, quick as a whip.
