After the weekend, all of class 1-A met up at the major train station. Aizawa herded the rambunctious class along. "You all have your costumes?" Everyone held up their numbered briefcases. "Good, now get to your stations. If you miss your train, I'm not driving any of you there." As the class began to move about, Aizawa gave them one last piece of advice, though it was more of a warning. "And mind your manners; if I find out any of you did something to tarnish UA's name, I'll give you hell."
Dokusei took a gulp as he stood next to Ochako and Midoriya. Iida hadn't said a thing about all that's happened to him. "Iida," Midoriya got his attention, "If you need someone to talk to, you can always talk to us." Ochako nodded with him while Dokusei gave him a worried look. "We're friends, after all..."
He turned around to face them. "Sure," was all he said, before turning back around and leaving for his train.
Dokusei let out a sigh. "Come on, we're going to miss our train." He put his briefcase over his shoulder and began walking to his train, Ochako following close behind.
"I wish there was more we could do..." Ochako let out her own sigh.
"Mr. Roboto is stubborn; he's not going to accept help, unless he asks and he's beyond what he thinks he can handle." He looked back at her. "Our best bet is to be there when he does ask."
"Right..." She nodded. "But you seem worried about something."
"I must be losing my grip if you can see it," he tried to joke, but let out another sigh when she kept staring at him. "I think he's going to do something stupid, but I could just be connecting dots that aren't there..."
They got on the train and Dokusei let her have the only seat available. "And what's that?"
Dokusei was quiet for a long moment. "I think... he's going to go after the Hero Killer..." He kept his voice low. Ochako looked like she was about to shout, but Dokusei put his finger on his lips. "I could be wrong; the mention of his name could just send him into fight or flight mode... or I got it on the head and he froze up because of that..." His shoulders dropped with his head. "I just don't really know..."
"What does your gut say?"
"That he's up to something."
Ochako reached out and grabbed his arm. "Well, like you said, we'll be there when he needs us, and hope he'll be ok." Dokusei nodded at that, and the two enjoyed a relatively quiet train ride.
When they got off the train, they met the man himself. He was a very tall, well built man with long silver gray hair that spiked away from his face. He waited for them with a sign with their hero names on it. "Toxic Phantom and Uravity." Gunhead bowed. "Nice to finally meet you."
The two bowed back. "Likewise, sir."
He put out a hand to shake. "David has told me a lot about you, Phantom."
Dokusei took the hand. "All good, I hope."
"And then some." He looked to Ochako. "And you look even better in person; not being covered in burns and soot helps too."
She rubbed the back of her head. "Y-Yeah..."
He waved them along. "Come, let's get you to my agency and settled in." A sidekick came up to them and took their luggage before they entered a car.
The car ride was quick, and they saw his building. It looked like a normal office building, till they saw the entrance that had two artillery cannons sitting outside. "Are those Howitzers real?" Dokusei asked.
"They can't accept real artillery shells, but they do move and we do shoot fireworks out of them on New Year's."
"Oh cool!" Ochako was pressing her face against the window with stars in her eyes.
"Mordy would be geeking out if he was here." Dokusei let out a chuckle as Ochako openly laughed.
The car stopped just outside of the entrance, and they left to go into the building. "I'll show you to your room and get you settled in, before giving you a tour. Then after lunch we'll go over training and what we do here."
Dokusei stopped. "Room? Don't you mean 'rooms,' as in two?"
Gunhead rubbed his neck. "Yes, I would normally do that, but yesterday the room that was going to be Uravity's had a burst a water pipe that quickly flooded the other spares except one..."
"Do we have a separate bed and divider?" Ochako asked.
"Of course, this isn't a love hotel." He then looked back at them suddenly. "Unless you want that."
They both quickly shook their heads as blush grew on both of them. "Nope we're good!"
Gunhead let out a chuckle while covering the part of his mask where his mouth should be with the top of his hand. "Ok, let me know if you change your mind." And he began walking them to their room
Dokusei rubbed the back of his neck. "I knew Master Howl said he likes to tease, but damn, I didn't think he'd go that far..."
"He's really nice though..."
He shrugged. "Don't tell the grape that we technically slept in the same room together, he'll probably explode." He put his hand to his chin. "On second thought..."
Ochako slapped his shoulder. "D-Dokusei!" Her blush grew back and was brighter than before. "Don't say it like that!"
"Yeah... now that I think about it, Mimi would probably kill us both."
"Huh?" Ochako looked up at him.
"Surprisingly, Mimi gets really jealous when I get close to any girls; Mom's antics don't help..."
"So that's why she's been giving people death glares!" She suddenly dropped her shoulders. "Now I feel really bad for her..."
Dokusei sighed. "Yeah it doesn't help that I don't return her feelings." They turned a corner to a hallway with an elevator at the end. "I hope she moves on soon."
"Yeah..."
They entered the elevator and went up about four floors before it stopped. The hallway had a lot of yellow 'don't cross' tape on many of the doors, all except the one at the very end of the hall. "Here's your room, make yourself comfortable." It was a nice two bed apartment, spacious, with a divider between the two beds, a night stand on the opposite sides of the beds, a footlocker at the end of the beds, a large TV facing the beds, and a bathroom door next to a large window showing the city landscape.
Dokusei took the bed closest to the door. "Get changed into your Hero costumes and meet me on the dojo one floor up; you can't miss it." Gunhead closed the door, and left the two students alone.
"You can either pull the divider open or use the bathroom to change; I'll stay out here." Dokusei began to open his briefcase, and lay out his costume, while Ochako went to the bathroom.
A few minutes later, they met up with Gunhead at the dojo, which was the whole floor. Gunhead waved his arms around. "This is the dojo where you'll both be spending a majority of your time here." He pointed to a set of doors that had male and female stick figures on either door. "Those are the restrooms, and over here we also have weights and other exercise equipment." He pointed to the other side of the room that had rows of bench presses, legs presses, pulleys, dumbbells, and treadmills. "Please rack your weights when you're done with them."
He then began to walk back to the elevator. "Next floor has the kitchen and lunch room; we make most of our own meals, but it's understandable if you two want take-out." And so began the rest of the tour.
After nearly an hour of the tour, they sat in the lunchroom eating. Ochako had mochi after her main dish, a bowl of curry. Dokusei was having teriyaki chicken and a crunchy roll.
Gunhead put his mask back on. "Now that was filling!" He leaned back a bit in his seat. "Now, on to the training schedule." This got their attention if he didn't have it already. "Today is mostly getting you guys settled in, but tomorrow we'll be going at it!" He raised his fist into the air. He then broke down on what they were doing, for how long, and who's doing what. "For you, Uravity, we'll be mostly focusing on the basics, then work our way up from there. Ideally we have months together to do this, but you seem like a fast learner, so I'll speed things up a bit."
Ochako nodded. "Right!"
"If you're having trouble with something, we'll take a step back, and break it down further." He looked at Dokusei. "Now for you, we'll be going over what David usually does and make improvements as we go, nothing crazy at first. I want to see if what David says is true or not."
"Understandable," Dokusei agreed as he finished his last roll.
Gunhead pulled out a notebook and showed them their work out schedule for the week. "If you want to use the weights tonight, go ahead, just please put them back once you're done."
After all that the two students went back into their room to finish unpacking. "Oh I'm so excited!" Ochako said as she seemed to vibrate about.
"I think that mochi had more sugar than normal..." Dokusei chuckled at her antics. He pulled out his sleep wear and some casual clothes. These briefcases had a lot of room; how else would they be able to fit Bakugo's giant gauntlets? "Wonder how everyone else's Work Studies are going?"
"Should we check up on them?"
"I can check on Mimi; you check on Mordy and Roboto." Dokusei pulled out his phone and looked through his contacts.
Dokusei: "Hey, how's your work studies going?"
Mina: "Hey! It's going! The place I chose could have been worse! What about you?"
Dokusei: "Me and Care Bear are just settling in. Gunhead is being pretty lenient on us for today, but tomorrow is when the real fun starts. Pray for Ochako; she'll need it."
Mina: "XD, will do! Anyway I got to get going, ttyl!"
Dokusei: "bye o/"
Dokusei put his phone away and looked at Ochako. "Deku is working hard with the Hero he's at, but neither of us could get a hold of Iida..." She held her phone close in her hand.
"God, I hope I'm wrong..." He sat down on his bed with his hands interlocking in front of his face.
"We all do..." She sat with him, putting a hand on his shoulder.
Dokusei shook his head. "Worrying about it isn't going to help us." He got up and rolled his neck. "I'm going to do a light workout." He began to walk to the door, but stopped as he grabbed the handle. "You're welcome to join me; it's always good to have a spotter." He looked over his shoulder at her.
"Sure!" She got up and quickly followed him, "Sounds like fun!"
Oh... if only she knew...
