Kido, after the events of the anime, was suggested to write in a diary to vent out emotionally when she didn't want to talk to anyone else. even after the snakes plans were stopped, strange things had been happening and no one knows why. it's like reading her diary first hand with everything described from how they were seen, ranging from everyday life to the off happenings

Chapter 13: Kano behaving strange

Date: 23rd December 20XX

Time: 10:45pm roughly

Dear diary

We heard from the police and the posters of her as a missing person have been put around the town for people to see. Action is finally being taken and the likely hood of us finding her should be increased. Keeping hopes up is getting more difficult, on top of the no results on the search on our end but theres also the dream I had. It still haunts me to this day, everything felt then was so real and I wonder if any of the others had similar experiences the last 3 weeks roughly.

Most days during that time I find myself being comforted and emotionally supported by Kano. While I'm worrying about everyone else, it seems like he's worrying over me as though I can't. lately he's been staying close by my side, like whenever it was my turn to do the house chores, Kano would be there with me and helping me with them. Every time I ask him, he just smiles his usual smile and replies that he just feels like it. Help with the chores is always appreciated yet while we're doing the chores together, I catch a glimpse of his smile and it seems different. Its hard to explain how it is, but its just not the same kind of smile that's always on his face. Usually I can tell the difference between him smiling out of joy or smiling when he lies, so this confuses me.

Today was Momo and Marie's turn to go grocery shopping and they selected a range of meals we can prepare together. Ayano seemed especially happy and suggested game to play while we wait for the cooking to be done.
