Austin Texas

13:30 hours June 14th

"Currently the war is entirely in our favor, we hold complete air dominance. We are performing air raids on known targets that we have been able to identify as the enemies." General Suelzer said.

If Governor Abbot could he would be tapping his foot, but being paralyzed waist down by a tree falling does that to you.

"What about our Naval forces do we have anything that we could use or reactivate?" The Governor asked.

"Yes we do, it's Texas, Governor." Suelzer answered.

"The USS Texas? At Least we have a battleship. Do our remaining naval men have any experience operating battleships as old as her?" Governor asked.

"No, none of the recalled Navy personnel veterans have any experience in operating coal powered ships let alone battleships. Repairs and renovations should be finished in the next couple of weeks. The team behind Texas's repairs have run slightly behind schedule especially with recent events."

"At least we'll have a surface fleet. Call the Senate, we need to discuss some more budgetary issues." Governor Greg Abbot said.

The aforementioned budgetary issues were towards building a future fleet. While the budget of the National Guard was changed from 101 million dollars all the way to up 100 billion dollars. It only covered the Texas National Army Guard, Texas National Air Guard and the Texas National Coast Guard; they needed a genuine Navy as photos of the enemy's ports so what seems to be dreadnought battleships were equivalent to the Texas.

With the National Army guard having a 50 billion dollar budget, National air guard and National Coast Guard each having 25 billion respectively.

Even if they were bombing their Fleets to oblivion and the facilities required to rebuild them. If they found where the actual coast is that would be an issue. They had no major surface fleet of any kind detected near the Panhandle or elsewhere; the Air Force has been making patrols over the ocean and Radar keeps a constant eye out for any aerial anomalies but they needed something that was actually permanently out at sea and could patrol the sea lanes.

Prime ministers cabinet, Leiforia Leifor

25/07/1638

The mood of Prime Minister Vladimir Abdulaev Abisov cabinet was somber, reflecting the gray storm clouds covering Leiforia as the yearly cyclone storms hit the Leiforian coast.

"Currently we've lost every single engagement with the enemy. They hold complete air superiority and we are unable to get our fighters in the air. All of our air bases have been bombed and are unusable. The entire front is in complete retreat." War Minister Gagarin reported.

"What about the Navy? Have they had any success in their missions?" The Prime Minister asked.

"No, not at all naval bases near the front have also been bombed to oblivion, including their ships. All the facilities necessary for a modern navy have also been bombed."

Then almost as if things were timed several naval facilities exploded along with ships.

"What was that!" The Prime Minister asked looking out the large window the bay of Leiforia was now smoking as several dozen contrails of fighters were left in the wake of the explosion. A dozen battleships along with 6 carriers and several dozen destroyers and cruisers of both light and heavy along with Submarines were now smoking ruins as their ammunition exploded. The pride of the Leiforian Navy, the most advanced and best of all the civilized world. One which could rival even the Mirishials were now smoking wrecks as they sank toward the bottom of the bay.

"Even if we could get our fighters and Wyverns in the air their fighters are simply too fast and powerful for us to get close to let alone dogfight." Gagarin reported as people in Leiforia crowded around the docks as soldiers stopped people from getting too close.

"So it confirms that the idea of air superiority and tactically and strategically bombing is needed to win a war has been confirmed by our enemy." Gagarin said as he wrote down some notes.

"Dear god. What have we gotten ourselves into." The Prime Minister said.

1st Infantry Brigade 3rd Infantry Division Texan National Army Guard

June 18th

2 miles south of Rechnoy Kholm 100 miles North of the Texas Border

41 year old Private E1 Joel Maldonado Jr the recalled combat Veteran of the second gulf war silently watched the smoking ruins of the town. The Air National Guard just bombed the coastal town and had a single cruiser in its dockyard and as such it was bombed including any and all fortifications.

The bombings had just ended and the 1st Brigade was preparing to enter. Heavy resistance was to be expected. He fought for America and her interest so his family didn't have to but now he started to believe that his son will eventually have too. Considering the way things are going.

The military convoy moved once the signal was given he knew how to fight even if it's been twenty years since Iraq. He still knew a thing or two about fighting including firing a rifle when needed. But he would rather be home but since his family is in danger he joined the army.

His son was probably on his computer doing nothing or he was doing something great like trying to design a new revolutionary engine. Joel didn't know his son was all over the place like that.

The signal was given and the armored vehicles moved forward towards the town. They experienced almost no resistance as the town's defenders surrendered when the bombers destroyed all of the artillery and pillboxes.

People were hiding in their houses as the armored column moved through the town. They all got out of their armored vehicles and orders were given to fortify the town and make sure the enemy didn't take their town back. While MPs raided the houses for anything of use, maps, books, newspapers anything with literature on them.

The soldiers kept quiet; they were merely following orders, and just wanted to go home. The sooner this war is over the sooner everybody can go home. The sound of whistle was heard as hundreds of troops charged towards the town as artillery fired as close as they could towards their positions.

The towed artillery soon responded to fire at a much higher rate than the Leiforians. The enemy troops charged through the lines as they cut down the entire battalion's worth of Leiforians. The Leiforian tanks rolled towards the town as heavy machine gun fire opened up onto them destroying them within minutes but they were able to get a couple shots off before being destroyed.

Within less than ten minutes the engagement was over as the Leiforians surrendered en masse. They rounded the Leiforian troops up as they set up camp near the town.

The next morning the Army continued their trip towards Leiforia the capital as 150000 Texan troops split over the front as the Leiforian lines broke under the overwhelming Texan Air Superiority.

El Paso Radio Observation Station, 5 miles east of El Paso

16:42 June 15th

Inside the El Paso Radio Observation Station a person shifted through the radio spectrum on his computer as his large radio antennae picked up an unidentified radio signal.

Retired 70 year old Lieutenant Franklin Caswell before who's retirement he was heavily interested in radio. When he was in the military he was a radio operator and that assignment followed him into retirement. Now he was a hobbyist radio operator.

Five days after the "event" he was recruited by the military to detect and intercept any radio waves that are picked up by his antennae. He was also given the latest decryption technology to figure out what messages were being sent by Radio if they were encrypted at all.

Looking at his screen when suddenly the radio spectrum exploded with frequencies.

"What the hell?" Franklin said, his computer showing all of the detectable radio waves on his screen. He turned into a random frequency and what showed was a black and white video? Calm orchestral music was playing in the background, the audio was crunchy like it was a video from the 50s.

"In ferner Vergangenheit, vor dem Krieg, lebte eine Prinzessin. Ihr Name war Valka. Ihr Vater war ein grausamer Mann, der ihr Zimmer abschloss, wenn sie etwas tat, was ihm nicht gefiel" A narrator said in german.

.

(In the distant past, before the war, there lived a name was Valka. Her father was a cruel man who locked her room whenever she did something that didn't please him.)

"What the hell is this?" Franklin asked back when he was in the military he was stationed in west Germany. As such understood every word that was said but what confused him was who was airing this. He saw a lot of German movies from the 50s during his deployment but never this one.

He then changed the radio frequency before the intro finished and picked up something else, an encrypted signal. It was garbled and unintelligible at first but soon afterwards it became clearer as the multimillion dollar decryption Algorithm automatically got work. In less than a minute the voices were understandable. To someone who knew German of course.

"Was zur Hölle ist los?!" (What the hell is going on?!)

"Wir haben den Kontakt zu unseren Kolonien verloren!" (We have lost contact with our colonies!)

"Die südliche Grenze ist weg!" (The southern border it's gone!)

Soon a flurry of voices came in as very panicked voices filled this frequency. He changed the frequency back towards the story of the princess. At that moment in time to be interrupted by a new anchor of sorts with a well dressed man sitting at a desk.

"Wir entschuldigen uns für die Unterbrechung dieser Sendung, aber es ist etwas passiert. Ein helles Licht erschien über Ragna und anderen Städten im ganzen Imperium. Wir lernen nur, was gerade passiert, aber nach dem, was wir wissen, haben wir den Kontakt zu unseren Kolonien verloren. Wir werden Updates bereitstellen, sobald neue Informationen veröffentlicht werden."

(We apologize for interrupting this broadcast, but something happened. A bright light appeared over Ragna and other cities across the Empire. We're only learning what's happening right now but from what we know we've lost contact with our colonies. We'll provide updates as new information is released.)

Franklin was confused. Empire? Ragna? What was going on? He sent a message to the military that he found something was happening just like their own transfer. He didn't know where it was but one thing for sure it was close.
