A/N: I just want to thank everyone for all the very detailed suggestions I received! In the end though, I've decided to stick to the original plan- it will let Albedo spend more time with Suzuki and for now, Suzuki's goals don't ally with founding a country. However, there is a way that I can plan to incorporate that in the story far earlier than I originally thought was possible, so if you were more for plan B, it will be coming around soon.

I should also note that this is the point in the series where we will be diverging from what's been established in the canon by a huge margin- but I will try to stick to what I think is reasonably possible in Overlord, as well as some info from the Evileye side story. I will answer some queries though in the reviews which I thought were interesting.

For a spell that sees karma, I can't really see that working out. I think only serial killers would have very low karma values, and most people would be neutral or only slightly evil.

I don't plan on raising the level cap for Suzuki or making him vastly overpowered.

Suzuki Satoru sighed. Very little was going his way right now.

He had talked to Osk, and though the man didn't explicitly say so, Suzuki could tell that he would be quite disappointed if the Martial Lord was killed. As such, Suzuki knew that he wouldn't get any XP from this battle.

Still, Suzuki could still gain a bit of cash and a lot of reputation from this fight, so this wasn't too big of a setback.

What really set his mood off was remembering his meeting with the Emperor.

Suzuki, after mulling over what they should do, realized that forming a country was in direct opposition to his plans for the moment. It was easy enough to try and convince Albedo of the fact- he just told her that it would limit the time he could spend with her and she immediately changed her position on the matter.

The Emperor however... Albedo had been right about what he was going to suggest. Suzuki had turned down the man, but it was clear that the Emperor was not happy.

It was probably best for all of them to leave this country as soon as possible.

The entrance before the arena was eerily similar to the one on the sixth floor of Nazarick, and that sent a pang of nostalgia through him. Suzuki was standing besides Albedo and Fluder.

"Teacher, are you sure you don't want my assistance?" Fluder asked. When Fluder had seen that Suzuki was able to use the ninth tier of magic, it looked as if Fluder was about to have a migraine. After he regained his composure however, his demeanor towards Suzuki had changed considerably. As a matter of fact, his devotion had almost reached Albedo levels of creepy. If Fluder had had any misgivings or second thoughts about joining Suzuki, they all seemed to have vanished.

Fluder had managed to get all of the required ingredients for the ritual, and once this match was over, they would perform it and hightail it out of this country as fast as they could. Suzuki could only hope that the ritual would work.

"No, Fluder," Suzuki said. "The goal of this match is to demonstrate our prowess and increase our reputation as adventurers. If you were to join the fight, everyone would just assume that we won because the famed magic caster was on our side."

"Ah, of course, forgive this one's foolishness," Fluder said and bowed his head apologetically.

"Please raise your head," Suzuki said. Great, now there were two people basically worshipping the ground he walked on. "Albedo, let's go!"

It was quite rare for someone to challenge the Martial Lord. As such, the arena was packed.

Even the Blood-Emperor himself was present for this match- though it was not simply to entertain himself.

Alongside him were two of the Four Imperial Nights, Nazami and Nimble. Along with the two was the magic caster Jircniv had chosen to replace Fluder.

Fluder Pradyne, in terms of raw firepower, could theoretically be replaced by enough of his disciples. Eight fourth tier magic casters could rival Fluder's damage output, theoretically at least.

Practically though they would still fall quite short. It was harder for Jircniv to try and control eight different people, and an enemy could pick them off one by one. Not to mention none of them could use the spell Teleportation to escape with Jircniv if the situation called for it.

That said, it was the best that Jircniv was going to get.

"That is the magic caster I want you to tell me about," Jircniv said as Suzuki walked into the arena. Trailing behind him was a warrior in black armor.

Jircniv had been surprised by many things when he had met the magic caster. For one, while Suzuki was dressed up in the best clothes that money could buy, the woman with him had been dressed far more magnificently than either he or even Jircniv himself. That woman, Albedo, was more beautiful than any other woman Jircniv had seen, and he realized then and there that it was a foolish thing to try and prepare honeypots for the man.

As a matter of fact, nothing he offered Suzuki managed to move his heart. Jircniv had nearly lost his composure at the time, but he regained it soon enough so that he felt that no one had noticed.

"Him, Your Excellency?" the acolyte asked.

"Yes," Jircniv said. He wanted to see Suzuki's power for himself. "He is an eighth tier magic caster."

The acolyte laughed, but his smile withered away upon seeing Jircniv's stern expression. Nimble's hand moved to the hilt of his sword and the acolyte gulped. Unlike Fluder, there was no way he could take on one of these knights, and the acolyte knew he was far more expendable. The ruler standing before him had not been given the moniker Blood-Emperor for nothing.

Jircniv leaned forward and began speaking as if he was trying to educate a small child. "Fluder Paradyne has agreed to leave his position just to be that man's apprentice. He himself told me that that man could use magic of that tier."

The acolyte's eyes widened. "F-Forgive me, Your Excellency. It's just that magic of that level is the stuff of legends only, but if Fluder-sama has decided to become that man's student..." He trailed off, it was probably only a seventh or eighth tier caster who could convince Fluder to become his/her student.

"Not only that," Jircniv said. "That man managed to tame the monster that dwells in the depths of the Ministry of Magic."

The acolyte's face paled. Jircniv had decided to gift the Death Knight, which was technically property of the government, to Suzuki Satoru. This was not out of kindness- without Fluder, having that thing sitting in the Ministry was the equivalent of sitting on a minefield, and there were not enough magic casters that even the Empire could spare to guard over it constantly just in case it escaped. If it ever did, it was doubtful that they could subdue it again without Fluder's help.

The noise in the arena reached a feverous pitch as the Martial Lord himself walked out. Jircniv knew that the Four Imperial Knights couldn't beat that warrior even if they banded together. As such, he wanted to see how Suzuki Satoru would do.

"What is your prediction on how Suzuki will do?" Jircniv asked the acolyte.

"I do not know the power of the eighth tier," the acolyte responded. "But based on what I can guess, a single eighth tier spell should be able to finish off the Martial Lord in one hit."

Both Nazami and Nimble did a double-take, but Jircniv had expected such an answer. He wanted to take the opinion of a second magic caster and didn't want to rely solely on Fluder's opinion.

The match began and Suzuki opened up with a spell called Electrosphere. The spell shot out a brilliant ball of lightning which sparkled and struck the Martial Lord- though it didn't seem to have dealt much damage.

Suzuki then followed up with Summon Undead 5th to bring out a Skeletal Cavalryman. Since the spell technically summoned two monsters- the horseman and the horse, this undead was not as strong as a normal undead typically summoned by a fifth tier spell, but Suzuki thought that it might be able to hold its own against the Martial Lord for a while.

While the Skeletal Cavalryman intercepted the Martial Lord as he charged towards Suzuki, Suzuki followed up with another spell. Demoralize was a fifth tier spell which dealt a debuff to the target, much like Suzuki's passive ability as an Overlord. He then followed this up with Cloud of Despair, a sixth tier spell which shot out a dark fog towards the Martial Lord. It was an area of effect debuff spell and also had the ability to blind the enemy. Suzuki followed up with Crystal Lance, which shone with prismatic brilliance and cut through the fog. Since Suzuki's Skeletal Cavalryman had a mental link with its owner, and also its vision wasn't obstructed by the fog, it was able to get out of the way as the attack struck the Martial Lord.

The crowd cheered, but Jircniv frowned. This was not what he had been expecting. "Are those powerful spells?"

"As far as I know, he is using spells of the third, fourth, and fifth tier," the acolyte said.

"Then why is he..." Jircniv's puzzled expression turned into a crooked smile. "I see. He's holding back."

Nimble and Nazami both took a step away from the arena subconsciously. It was frightening to think that there was someone who could beat the Martial Lord, scarier still to think of someone who could finish him off in a single spell, and downright terrifying to think of someone so powerful they could afford to play around while fighting the Martial Lord.

"But why though?" Jircniv said out loud as his mind began working overtime. Was it because he wanted to hide his power from Jircniv? It was odd if the man was going out of his way just for that. But, just as a poker player would try to hide his hand- a person would like to keep the extent of his full power a secret. Still, Jircniv had not made any hostile movements to the man, so this sort of a play would be quite odd.

And then Jircniv saw how the crowd was reacting. They were all being worked up into a frenzy- come to think of it, though the spells might not have been powerful, but they were quite dazzling to behold.

Suzuki was doing this purely for the spectacle then? It would make sense- the crowd did come here to watch a show and not a one-sided slaughter, after all. They would be upset if the fight was over too fast.

The Martial Lord looked as if he was being pushed back, only to then suddenly strike the Skeletal Cavalryman and finish him off with a clean blow that cut through both rider and mount simultaneously. It was probably some form of martial art- but Suzuki had been ready for this.

It was time for him to try a higher tier spell. Summon Undead 6th brought about a Death Warrior. Suzuki then used the spell Acid Splash. Trolls had excellent regenerative abilities, but poison and fire attacks did damage that was difficult for even them to heal. Suzuki could learn more powerful spells than the fourth tier one he had just used, but the thing was that he saw them as wastes of spell slots. Soon, he would be able to summon monsters that could use a variety of spells for him, so he had no need to devote spell slots to higher tier spells just to have wide elemental coverage.

The Death Warrior was able to quickly overpower the Martial Lord, especially with Suzuki throwing out the occasional spell at the Martial Lord. Suzuki even made his summon pretend to falter a little before pinning the Martial Lord down.

With that, the match was called in Suuzki's favor, and the crowd roared with approval, throwing coins into the arena. Ah yes, by the contract, a good portion of those coins would belong to Suzuki. In that way, this operation had been hugely successful- even more so given that everyone would see he had won without Albedo's help at all.

"That monster he summoned- it looked similar to the Death Knight," the acolyte said.

"I don't think we could beat that thing," Nazami said. "Not even all four of us." He was referring to all Four Imperial Knights.

Jircniv stroked his chin. Suzuki had not shown his full power yet, but it was clear that even a fraction of that was immense. It didn't look like he was going to get any more information from this, but given that he had heard that Suzuki planned to go to the Draconic Kingdom, it might instead be worth his while to plant spies there.

"My liege," Nazami said as they all turned to leave the special box made for the Emperor. "Would it be possible to hire the Iljaniya to finish Suzuki off?"

The idea was that with Suzuki dead, Fluder would probably return to his post.

"No," Jircniv said. While it was theoretically possible that an assassin could bypass the strength of much stronger foe using techniques such as poison and the like, the fact was that Jircniv doubted that even the most skilled of that assassin order could finish off Fluder, let alone someone much stronger. There was always the possibility that Fluder might find out no matter how carefully Jircniv would weave the scheme, and the ultimate fact remained that death was not the end in this world. It was highly likely that Suzuki was friends or at least knew that woman of Blue Roses who could bring back the dead.

Also, this did not even factor in that woman's strength. If she had made it to the rank of Admantite, she was certainly no weakling.

"For now, we will keep an eye on him, but will make no aggressive moves until we have a better grasp of his abilities," Jircniv said. For now, he had to deal with trying to keep the country together given that news of Fluder's resignation would certainly spread like wildfire.

Suzuki examined the regents that Fluder had assembled- they were worth at least twenty thousand gold pieces by his reckoning. When he pointed this out to Fluder, Fluder waved his hand and said that it was nothing- just money he had saved over the years.

The dragon heart was so big that they had to move to another room in order to perform the ritual. The way it worked was that Suzuki would sit in the middle of a circle with the regents scattered around him in a specific pattern.

Fluder then began chanting. By using a combination of spiritual, divine, and arcane magic, he was able to invoke a ritual that would in theory grant immortality according to his calculations. Unfortunately, it had not worked out the last time he had tried it for some reason he had not yet figured out. Suzuki however, was willing to take the risk that this would all amount to nothing.

The regents began to melt, and Suzuki didn't feel as if anything had changed initially his despair deepened- but something did as a matter of fact change.

In truth, though Fluder hadn't realized it, his ritual was a way to convert a level into the specific job class of Immortal, much like how the Orb of Death could function as a substitute for a Book of the Dead. Since Fluder at the time did not have any extra levels left, the spell merely converted some of his extra equivalent XP into slowing down his aging process.

In a way, Fluder had led Suzuki to a treasure that Fluder could not possess.

Immortal

The job class appeared in Suzuki's mind, and he eagerly spent his extra level into the job class. It was a good thing that he had left one extra for a situation like this.

Once this was done, the regents were gone, and the room was back to normal.

Fluder looked a bit puzzled, but Suzuki was happy.

"Thank you, Fluder-san. This ritual has let me obtain eternal life," Suzuki said.

"Did it work, Suzuki-sama?" Albedo asked, a worried look on her face.

"Indeed, I know it did," Suzuki said. Of course, no one else could see his level allocation. With the new level, he was also able to add the spell Create Greater Item to his repertoire. It was a seventh tier spell, but it was par for course as to how Suzuki was unlocking spells up till this point. When he would reach the level of unlocking a new tier, he'd get one spell of that tier, followed by several levels of lesser spells before he might be able to get a second spell of the max tier he was at.

His character sheet was now as follows:

Mage 15 lv

Battle Mage 10 lv

Sorcerer 9 lv

Necromancer 10 lv

Umbramancer 6 lv

True Necromancer 5 lv

Master of the Dark Arts 2 lv

Immortal 1 lv

Total: 0 racial + 58 job = 58 levels

"Alright then, let's head out!" Suzuki said.

Over the next few days, Fluder Paradyne began to learn a lot more about his teacher.

For one, the man had not been lying when he said he had no talent for teaching- but in spite of that Fluder had come to learn quite a lot. For example, the fact that there was a tier about the tenth tier of magic, which his teacher called Super Tier magic.

"I can't use it right now, the next step for me right now is the tenth tier, and after that I'll reach that peak," Suzuki said.

Fluder would've laughed at someone saying such a thing, but if there was anyone who could reach that pinnacle of the tenth tier, or if there was something beyond, it would be this person.

At this point, Fluder had just figured that Suzuki had some extremely overpowered talent which let him learn magic at an extremely rapid rate.

Suzuki also showed Fluder a variety of seventh, eighth, and ninth tier spells which Fluder was overjoyed with. The only real way that Suzuki could find to teach Fluder though was to show him a sixth tier spell over and over and hope that Fluder could reverse engineer a way to cast that spell. Right now, Fluder was trying to learn the spell Dark Barrier of the sixth tier. It was a spell to block magical damage, but it was only a spell which had the defensive capabilities of a fourth tier spell. The upside was that it blocked nearly all forms of magical attacks, and even if an attack was not blocked completely its damage would still be reduced.

Up till now though, Fluder still had not learned any new spells.

He noticed that although his teacher was extremely knowledgeable about certain things such as magic and monsters, he seemed to be even more ignorant that Fluder in matters such as noble etiquette and other things that a normal person would know. Fluder could only surmise that his teacher must have lived as a hermit somewhere for most of his life.

Regarding the woman named Albedo, Fluder could tell that she thought he was unwanted but put up with him anyway. He noticed that the two of them would often use Greater Teleportation to go somewhere without him, and he had a pretty good idea of what the two of them were doing during this alone time. He did not however, think that Albedo's horns or wings were magic items as Suzuki often told other people, but rather that she was some sort of demihuman- but he kept this to himself.

It also seemed odd that Albedo and Suzuki seemed to have more of a master-servant relationship rather than that of those between lovers. It was made even stranger by the fact that it seemed that Albedo had far better equipment and clothing than Suzuki, and the fact that she carried herself with the air worthy of a queen, while Suzuki was much more like your average joe.

The strangest thing though was that his teacher seemed to go out of his way to fight and kill as many monsters as possible. Whenever there was even the remotest danger of goblins being near a village, Suzuki would go out of his way to clear out the nest, even though the Imperial Knights would've handled it within a week. Suzuki did so repeatedly- and during these times both he and Albedo would forbid Fluder from helping out in any way, not even letting Fluder kill a single monster.

Fluder concluded that Suzuki had some strange sexual fetish related to killing monsters- it would explain quite a lot actually. Like his eagerness to engage with the beastmen violating the Draconic Kingdom's borders despite more fruitful opportunities elsewhere.

Once they reached the border of the Draconic Kingdom and explained to the border patrol that they wanted to help with the beastmen invasion, all of them were practically dragged all the way to the capital at full speed. Everything- their food, housing in the best hotels- was all paid for. When people heard that they had come to help, their downcast eyes would light up with hope.

Clearly the Draconic Kingdom was desperate for aid given that the three of them were granted an audience with the queen, Draudillon Oriculus, the very next day after they arrived at the capital.

The queen looked like a little girl, but Fluder had told Suzuki all about her secrets. The three of them bowed but were quickly told to raise their heads. Next to the queen was the Prime Minister, a man who gazed at them with curiosity. The queen gave them an annoyingly cloying greeting with extremely exaggerated facial expressions. She was clearly a well-versed actress at least in this role- Suzuki had to hand that to her.

If Peroroncino were here, Suzuki thought, he would've no doubt attempted to flirt with her.

"Well met again, Your Highness," Fluder said. "Perhaps it would be better if we drop this pretense and you were to greet us as you truly are?"

Another person might've been offended if they had been in her position, but the queen was hardly in a situation to be a hard bargainer. Her demeanor rapidly changed- it was odd to see such a surly expression on a child. "I won't be taking that form, if you're wondering. I have another meeting after this and it takes too long to change."

"Understood," Fluder said. As the trio had discussed earlier, Fluder would be the one who's do most of the introductions. "These are Adamantite adventurers, Suzuki Satoru and Albedo. Suzuki Satoru is also my teacher- I have left my post with the Empire of Baharuth to become his apprentice. He is at least a dozen times more powerful than me."

Draudillon and the Prime Minister were quite taken aback- Fluder was famous in the neighboring countries as a man who rivalled the strength of an entire Admantite team. If what he was saying was true, than this man was the equivalent of over twelve Admantite ranked teams. It was difficult to imagine that someone of such strength existed, but the news that Fluder had resigned his post had made waves in the surrounding nations. Also, the Prime Minister had heard the two Admantites had beaten the Martial Lord, leading her to believe that even if they weren't unbelievably strong- they were at the least very powerful nonetheless.

Suzuki maintained a neutral expression but was quite pleased- clearly, there was a benefit to having Fluder with them- people would take Suzuki far more seriously with Fluder around.

As such, though it had been a consideration to Suzuki that he could simply renege on his offer to teach Fluder, the fact remained that Suzuki was quite satisfied with the ritual's results, and he wasn't the kind of person to cheat someone out of a fairly made deal.

Of course, if Suzuki and Albedo were royalty from another nation, it would lessen the need for them to have someone like Fluder to strengthen their credibility. It would've also made dealing with the ruler of another country far easier- no doubt there had been merits to Albedo's original idea.

Now, however, it was Suzuki's turn to speak given that Fluder was done. "Greetings, Your Highness. Albedo and I would no doubt love to help you with the invading beastmen- however, the only issue is payment." Suzuki gazed intensely at the queen. "We wished to be paid in something other than common gold."

Reflexively, Draudillon covered her body with her arms. 'Not another lolicon!' she thought.

"I wished to learn Wild Magic from you," Suzuki said.

"Ah, well, that's not possible I'm afraid. You have to have the blood of a True Dragon Lord," Draudillon replied. She would've agreed if that was all he wanted- but there was no way for her to satisfy that request.

"Understandable. In that case, we would like to be paid with powerful magic items- perhaps even some of the national treasures of this country," Suzuki said.

Draudillon tapped her chin. "What exactly do you want?"

Suzuki almost faltered- he didn't know what the national treasures of this kingdom were, so he couldn't really give an exact answer. However, something calmed him down and allowed him to respond appropriately. "We have no exact item in mind. If possible, we would like to view the royal treasury and pick things from there."

The Prime Minister interjected, "Surely as adventurers gold will suffice? Is that not how the guild operates?"

"Normal adventurers could be bought with gold yes, but we are far from normal ones," Suzuki said. "Not to mention clearly few others are willing to help you- fighting beastmen is not what adventurers look forward to or what many would agree to. Not to mention we have better opportunities to earn gold elsewhere- powerful treasures is what we really seek. Also, we could simply leave if we were given a quest which we did not wish to take."

"In that case," Draudillon said, frowning. "There are some conditions. I can award those items to you in exchange for great service to my country- but they will be paid after your work is done. Also, they are contingent on the fact that you must make a great contribution to our cause."

"Understandable," Suzuki said. "I have heard the city of Camelot is currently under siege and about to be taken. Freeing it should be a good start, no?"

The beastmen were attacking on three fronts. One was the city of Camelot, the other was the fortress of Vrael, and the third was the city of Blackthorn. One of the Empire's legions was stationed near Vrael, and the majority of the Draconic Kingdom's forces were assembled near Blackthorn. Camelot as such was guarded only by draftees and was close to being taken. Once Camelot was safe, Suzuki planned to free the other two locations before liberating the remaining cities which had already been taken.

"You have a deal," Draudillon said and hopped off her throne. "The treasury has security measures and needs me to open it."

They all followed her out of the throne room through a long corridor to a large door which had no lock on it. Draudillon stroked the door gently and it opened.

"If a normal person tried that, they would be sucked inside," the Prime Minister explained.

"Do you check to see if there's anyone inside?" Suzuki asked.

"Once every seven years or so," the Prime Mininster said.

The treasury was well stocked, but it was nothing compared to Nazarick's, of course.

Suzuki wandered around, appraising the magical items inside. Some of them did pique his interest. There was one of the four swords wielded by the Black Knight of the 13 Heroes, but Suzuki had little use for such a weapon and it was weaker than the ones that Albedo had. Same deal with the set of Admantite armor he saw- he could make one using his most recently used spell, though it would lack the enchantments on this set. There was even a Horn of the Goblin General, which strengthened his conviction that there must be other Players in this world, but of course he did not want to take such a trash item.

One thing did catch his eye though- the Crown of the Vampire Lord. Much like the spell Undeath Form this item allowed one to gain the properties of a true vampire as long as they wore it- as such there was no need to cast a spell continuously to maintain it. There was another property of it that made Suzuki want it- it could stack with Create Undead to form a lesser vampire instead of a zombie like was normal. That could have certain practical uses in some specific circumstances.

The second thing he thought that was worth his time was a Wand of Resurrection that contained several uses of the spell Raise Dead- given that Suzuki couldn't use resurrections magic and neither could anyone on his team, having that would no doubt be useful.

The third item was a staff that let one cast a fifth tier magic spell that one knew thrice a day with no mana cost. In addition, it would expand one's mana pool by two mana points.

"These three," Suzuki said, pointing to them.

"You ask for quite a lot," Draudillon said.

Truth be told, she was not in a favorable position to say no, but she still felt that she should try to haggle down.

As it was, the city of Camelot was originally going to be reinforced with troops from the Slane Theocracy- but the Theocracy had withdrawn their aid to the Draconic Kingdom while saying that they were overextended after the loss of one of their scriptures.

In a similar vein, Draudillon had the sinking feeling that the Blood-Emperor would soon withdraw his legion from the country. The loss of Fluder Paradyne would embolden dissenters in his country, and he would most likely want the extra military power that an extra legion would provide to strengthen his position. Draudillon had actually been expecting an envoy from the Baharuth Empire announcing such any day now.

These two acts were rather short-sighted given the fact that it would allow the beastmen to advance close to the Empire's and eventually Theocracy's borders, but the two other nations probably felt that it was more important to secure their own borders for the time being. Humans, as a species, should have banded together in a moment like this- at least, the queen felt so- but it was clear that the other two countries did not consider the beastmen to be an immediate threat.

Given all of this, Draudillon really had little choice when offered help from people who seemed to be as strong as Fluder Paradyne- but part of her strength as queen was the image of power she could project, so she felt that she couldn't concede so easily.

"You don't need to give me all three," Suzuki said. "How about you promise two of the three, and the third if you are satisfied with our performance? Say, for example, if we were to kill forty thousand beastmen."

To a salaryman such as Suzuki, such a plan made perfect sense, and performance bonuses for reaching, say, a sales quota, were quite commonplace. Even if many times back in Suzuki's world, the companies would find an excuse not to pay them out once the goal was reached citing some loophole, or would set the targets to be unreasonably high.

However, he was sure that the queen would honor their bargain- and if she didn't, it would open up a precedent for Suzuki and Albedo to simply steal away those treasures, though Suzuki doubted it would come to that.

"Forty thousand!?" the Prime Minister exclaimed.

The invading beastmen forces were estimated to number between seventy and one hundred thousand- in other words, this man was saying that he could kill around half of them.

Even Draudillon was shocked, but as she considered it, it wasn't inconceivable that someone who was as strong as Fluder could eventually kill that many beastmen by casting powerful area of effect spells, teleporting away to recuperate his mana, and repeating the process again.

"Which two do you want?" Draudillon asked. She would much rather prefer giving these treasures away rather than having to sell her body to that pervert adventurer.

"The wand and the crown," Suzuki answered. The staff was nice, but not as useful as the other two in his opinion.

"Alright then," Draudillon said. "I can agree to those terms. When can you begin?"

"Immediately," Suzuki answered.

Since the three of them could reach Camelot via teleportation magic, they had the rest of the afternoon to prepare and would go there next morning.

Suzuki noticed something quite different about this country's capital- the mood was far more morose than that of the Empire and the Re-Estize Kingdom. Whispers constantly floated around about the invading beastmen hordes. A good portion of the city's inhabitants had fled to cities further away, as such, the city also appeared far emptier than it would have otherwise.

Suzuki had received a scroll from the queen which he would hand over to Camelot's governor, which he pocketed into his inventory.

As was usual, they booked two rooms at the finest hotel in the city, with Suzuki and Albedo staying together while Fluder got a smaller but private room.

Suzuki sunk into a nearby sofa as soon as Albedo shut the door. He had cast the spell Undeath Form on himself, as he found that while under its influence his emotions were regulated to a certain degree- something that was quite useful when meeting up with people such as Emperor Jircniv or the Draconic Queen. Otherwise, without it, Suzuki was sure that he would begin sweating bullets when exposed to authority like the kind such people possessed.

That said though, Suzuki had been working on training himself for such situations. If, at some point in the future, he would become a ruler as Albedo suggested, he needed to be ready for the role. He had tried to get Albedo to teach him some things about administration, but most of her lessons, even the most basic, flew over his head. Now, he thought it might be better to perhaps ask Fluder for some tips on how a ruler should act.

He would also usually spend time trying to create new spells, but he had had no such luck up till now. It appeared that his breakthrough when faced with the Death Knight was something of a fluke. Suzuki had gotten nowhere when he asked Fluder how to create a new spell- everything the man said went over Suzuki's head, and it was clear that it was because Fluder's school of thought regarding casting magic was far removed from Suzuki's own.

But, all of these things could be done later.

Suzuki and Albedo used this time to teleport back to his hideout (Albedo and Suzuki had chosen to keep it a secret from Fluder for the time being) and make some things with Create Greater Item, now filling what Suzuki called New Nazarick with some furniture. It even had the magical equivalent of a fridge and a space heater as well, which they had purchased in the markets of the Empire. It was now turning into quite a nice place, with the second floor now almost finished with the new addition of the Death Knight to their forces.

Suzuki and Albedo then came back, and then Suzuki spent the night resting.

"How many do you think there are?" Suzuki asked Fluder.

"About twenty thousand or so," Fluder said.

"So few?" Suzuki muttered to himself.

Suzuki had cleared the walls of Camelot of the sieging beastmen with Dragon Chain Lightning and was watching the rest of the enemy forces gather. Given that their initial siege had failed, they were probably considering whether or not it was better to press forward, to retreat, or to stay put for the time being.

Suzuki intended to finish them off before they could make that decision.

The drafted soldiers gave the three of them a large berth as Suzuki had told them to maintain their distance- friendly fire was active in this world after all. No one wanted to be caught in the crossfire of Suzuki's magic.

At least, that had been the reason Suzuki had given the soldiers to stay away. In reality, he didn't want them around since he was afraid some of them might attack him while he was distracted- and he wasn't sure about how well Albedo or Fluder could protect him in an area as wide and open as this. The chance was slim, but he felt it was better to be safe. As he wasn't undead, he was still weak to critical hits, which he assumed were fatal in this world to someone such as him.

"Let me finish them then," Suzuki said, once again declining any of Fluder's offers to help. Suzuki didn't want anyone stealing his precious XP points. "Summon Undead 9th!"

Suzuki's summon was a Banshee Queen. According to Yggdrasil lore, banshees would arise from woman who had died violent deaths- usually after being sexually assaulted or suffering miscarriages. Based on what Fluder told him, it was much the same in this world, though such creatures were generally not too strong and could usually be slain by even Gold Ranked Adventurers.

This level sixty-one Banshee Queen though was a cut above such weak undead. She had a powerful area of effect instant death cry, much akin to the spell Cry of the Banshee. However, she was weaker in both range and power compared to what that spell would've been had Suzuki cast it as Momonga or even as a normal necromancer, but still, anything lower than level thirty in its range was certainly going to die, and the advantage was that this skill did not require any mana and could be used repeatedly over and over.

It was the best summon Suzuki could currently use in order to clear out vast swathes of weak enemies as fast as possible- though perhaps it would have been better for Suzuki to summon multiple Soul Eaters. But, he wanted to test out the pinnacle of his power just this once.

The Banshee Queen had the appearance akin to Samara from the Ring, save for the fact that she had the body of an adult woman and not of a child, and had a glowing dark crown atop of her head. She floated a foot above the ground and a dark red aura cloaked her. She carried a black staff in her left hand which radiated a malevolent green glow.

It teleported away and towards the mass of beastmen. When she was thirty feet away, she unhinged her lower jaw and opened it far further than a normal human could, unleashing its skill upon the invaders. Masses of beastmen fell like flies as she started flying and continued to use the skill on them. On the rare occasion that it seemed a Lord or King amongst them appeared who could withstand the Banshee Queen's cry the Banshee Queen lashed out with the eighth tier spell Death to finish them off. While she was not as strong in 1v1 as she was in dealing with large groups of enemies, there was a massive level difference between her and even the strongest of her targets.

In the span of fifteen minutes the enemy army was completely annihilated.

"Excellent!" Fluder said, and he began applauding. "So that is the power of a ninth tier spell! Truly, I am grateful to witness such a display of raw magical power!"

The captain of the guard walked over to Suzuki once Suzuki told him that it was safe to approach.

"Suzuki-dono, shall we sally out to kill them now?" the man asked him.

"They're already dead," Suzuki said, puzzled.

"A-Ah," the man said as a cold bead of sweat trickled down his forehead. He had assumed that Suzuki had managed to cast a very powerful spell to lull the enemy asleep- the thought that Suzuki was able to actually kill a force which could easily take this city eight times over in such a short time had never occurred to him, but as he saw that the beastmen were not rising, he realized it was fact.

"I-Impossible!"

"Monster!"

"Idiot! He can hear you!"

Such shouts came from the surrounding soldiers.

"Ah, do please tell Her Majesty that I've completed about, ah, half of my quota, would you?" Suzuki told the dumbfounded captain. "Also, I am assuming there is nothing you want with the corpses of the beastmen? No? Good, my subordinates will pick them clean and transport them somewhere else. I have some use for them."

Suzuki then took a look around. "I think our work here is done, captain."

A/N: Alright! So I hope you enjoy the direction this story is taking, I once again decided to invent some undead because we rarely are shown some of the others. This turned out way longer than I thought it would- but I kept on adding more details and stuff and it became this long.
