StacheKing: Haha, you fool, now I have you, you can never leave!
Generalluis: Surge is held together by pure, refined, spite. Starline has forced her to hate Sonic, so she'll help Sonic purely because she hates Starline. That being said, Sonic has an inherent presence that has a habit of changing people.
The Chapter length was designed to be manageable. Larger chapters are harder for me, and this is a side project. That being said… you'll have plenty to look at next chapter, due to my policy of trying to get everything I need in the chapters I need them.

Surge laid back on the bed. She set her quill band on the little desk between the Second bed and laid back. Kit could stay in that fucking room for all Surge cared. Fuck him, She didn't need him. She wasn't hurting in bed because he was attaching to that Fucking Faker more than he was attaching to her.
Surge felt the tingling in her heart. She should try and show a little love to Kit? Give him a mush fucking hug? Bullshit. But that tingling wasn't coming from Kit, she knew that.
Surge tossed the covers around, and curled up. She didn't need a snuggle buddy anyway. Fuck them both.
Surge opened her eyes to a thunderous applause. What the fuck was happening? Why was she in the city? Why was everyone clapping?
Surge just kept walking forward confused as the crowd around her seemed to only cheer louder with each step. Starline was a minor whisper in her head. As Surge walked she saw bear, and several small kittens and puppies cheering for her.
The street seemed to get crowded as a Stage appeared in front of her, with a very large golden trophy at on the center of it. A large Vole stood at the top, with a top hat the doubled his size. There was also…faker boy, but she didn't actually feel like killing him for once.
Surge found herself entranced as she made her way up the wooden stairs to see Faker and the Mayor. She saw Kit standing there with a little red bow tie and a black tux jacket, giving her weak thumbs up and a weaker smile.
"Good afternoon, our cities great protector Surge the Tenrec, or as you were known at birth-" The Mayer proclaimed, but his voice went silent as his lips moved.
"W-What? Who was I?" Surge gasped. Her head started to ache as she blinked clutched it.
Sonic looked concerned, and actually walked over and put a hand on her shoulder, "Hey, are you good?"
"Fuck, no I'm not good, what did you say!" Surge shouted at the Mayor.
The Mayor shook for a moment, before he calmed, "Ah, I see. The sound projection on this stage is meant for the audience, not necessarily for us. I just called you by your real name, -" His voice went silent again as his lips moved.
Surge mumbled, "What the fuck is going on?" Surge blinked and shook her head. Faker boy turned around, and Surge saw the small hand gesture Sonic made.
The Mayor caught it and nodded, "We would like to thank our dearest Tenrec hero for her Service in saving the orphanage, and preventing the flooding of the city park. We present you with the award of the greatest hero!"
Sonic picked up the gold trophy and handed it to Surge. She looked at it still confused as to what happened. Sonic smiled, "Well, there you are, you're better than me." He smiled at her.
She stood up, and picked up the trophy, holding it over her head. She didn't know anything about what was going on.
Surge raised her head, and then she saw them. A green large Tenrec, and her husband, a black Tenrec. They turned around. No way, no fucking way.
Surge lowered the trophy and tried to out shock herself. Surge found herself frozen. She couldn't waste the opportunity. She bolted after the Tenrecs, she ran after them, trying to catch up. But they always seemed to move faster than her.
She kept running, and running. Surge would not be beaten! She picked up the pace, her breath becoming ragged, her legs burning, but it would all be worth it. The distance was closing, their quills were becoming more distinct. She was so close. She could almost touch them.
She felt her heart ready to give out, but Surge wouldn't settle for being anything less. She kept running. She could see the dress fabric from the green one in the wind. Surge stretched out her hand, trying to grab the fabric-
Right as the red rings came around her.
"You really think they would come for you?" Starline's voice rumbled in her ear as the figures, city and everyone around her dissolved into nothing, "You're a freak, a project, a minor tool to be used. A temporary appetizer to simulate a hero, nothing close to the real thing!" Starline's glove pressed to her face as Surge found herself unable to move.
She bolted up out of the bed. She was…terrified. That nightmare, that hell. It was fucking bullshit!
Surge got up and shook her head. That fucking dream. It was already fading. But she knew two things, Surge hated Starline, and she sure as hell didn't trust Faker.
Surge walked outside her room to find Sonic already in the hall, a plate of Bacon and toast sitting resting in his hand.
"Hey, sleep well?" Faker asked, sounding a little worried for her. Had that bitch been spying on her?
"Fucking Fantastic." Surge grumbled, snatching the plate from Sonic, feeling the burning within her heart as she was ready to go and Find more Starline Bases.
Sonic scowled at her, "You're welcome I guess."
They finished up, and Sonic threw the Warp Ring onto the continent. The two stepped just outside the mountain base that had collapsed.
Sonic pressed his finger to his ear.
Kill Sonic! Kill Sonic! KILL SONIC!
Surge grit her teeth as her headache seemed to hurt a thousand times as bad as usual.
Sonic nodded, "Alright, Let's check out a Starline base….Yeah I'm sure, check out the map. I know it looks old but try to find something!"
Surge was more surprised that Faker-bitch was actually being selfless for her. Then again Sonic was the goodie-two-shoes. He would be good until the time came to chose between himself and her. She was waiting for that time.
Sonic nodded into the ear piece, "Alright, north, let's go." He turned to her, and Surge nodded.
But instead of just rushing off… Surge stopped. She saw Drippy who was looking at Sonic. Faker had a smug smile, because he knew what was coming, but Surge was going to ask it any, "Hey, Drippy, want a ride?"
Kit turned to her and his eyes lit up with Glee. She wasn't sure he could move so fast, but Kit jumped into her arms, "YES MA'AM, THANK YOU MA'AM." She wrapped her arms around him, Sighing, but not denying that his hugs felt amazing. Surge could feel his ears rubbing up against her neck, as if making sure she was still herself.
Faker kept his smirk, but cleared his throat, "Alright, are you ready, apparently he's got a base straight north. You want to go?"
"Shut the fuck up." Surge growled, but she took off. Of Course, he ran along side her, and passed her. Arrogant prick.
Surge felt herself mentally freeze over that. She… she didn't really have a reason to hate him, outside of the fact that he was pathetically good. Starline wanted her to hate him, but what did she want? The idea of a friend sounded… actually pretty nice. Someone to distract her from the voices in her head.
They kept running until the dirt turned to concrete. Surge felt herself slow down. It was apparently an abandoned Egg Base. Surge was a little surprised to see it so deserted.
Then, a laser fired into the ground in front of Faker boy.
He leapt out of the way, and Surge saw what looked like a mushroom with a star on it next to the turret the fired at him. He jumped on it and sprang into the air, before curling into a ball and smashing into said turret.
Surge saw another turret appear on the other of the street. She set down Kit, who seemed to understand the seriousness of the situation because he wasn't fucking stupid, and got his pack ready.
Surge Ran over and smashed the turret by jumping on the spring. Honestly, Surge was surprised at how little defenses there were. She and Sonic followed the trail of destroyed turrets to the large building at the center of the city.
The doors were sealed. That meant nothing to a hedgehog and tenrec who could punch through steel. They zipped forward and Surge was about to curl into a spin dash, when Sonic held out a hand with a grin. She caught on. She took his hand and they leapt into the air.
Surge pulled Sonic as he pulled her, and the spun in the air until Faker let go of her. Surge went hurtling towards the steel doors and Curled into a ball, smashing through the feeble defenses, and tearing the metal doors off their hinges.
When she was inside, Surge saw a massive screen and keyboard sitting at the center of the room. Sonic and Kit came in, "So, this the place?"
"I think so." Surge grumbled, before glaring at her Fennec, "Alright Kit, Do your thing." He approached the keyboard, and his water tendrils came out. As soon as the screen started up a woman screaming blared out the speakers.
WOOOHOAAAAH
Surge shouted, "Turn that shit off!"
Kit scrambled with some buttons and the music stopped.
Surge finally cleared her ears, "Alright, now get looking Drippy. Any shit on us. Find stuff and We'll call it a good day." She put her hands on her hips as Kit went to work.
Faker sat against the wall, looking around the room. He was bored, but fuck him. He actually looked like he was on guard.
"What's got you so fucked up?" Surge asked, getting annoyed at his stance and scowl.
"There are cameras, I wonder if Starline is watching us?" Sonic grumbled as he continued to scan the room.
"Big fucking deal, let Star-bitch watch. He can't stop me. Fuck him." Surge threw her hands up. Sonic seemed to smile at her, that smug, punchable face.
Sonic's face then frowned at her. What, was there something on her face?
"What? What's got you looking like a little bitch?" Surge growled.
"You really want to find out about your past?" Sonic asked with a wincing eye.
Surge growled, "Oh, this shit again? Yeah, I need to know what happened!"
"No you don't." He sounded almost sad. Surge was really getting pissed off by him.
"I do! I don't care about this "Re-invent yourself" Bullshit! I want to know what happened to me, and no fucking security is going to stop me!" Surge snarled, balling a fist.
Faker-bitch shook his head, "You're Surge the Tenrec. That's who you are."
Surge rolled her eyes, "Just shut the fuck up." She turned back to Kit, "Alright, Drippy find anything?"
Kit shook his head, "Nothing on us, although, I found something called "Main-Hub". It seems to be Starline's library, if we found it, there might be something there."
Surge was about to tell him to get a move on, when speakers boomed, "Nosey children get punished."
Surge looked around and saw the security cameras were focused on her, "Fuck you."
"Quant." Starline sounded so fucking bored. Surge would happily fix that if he was close by.
Kit jumped up, "We got a missile coming in!" Surge turned and saw the large red glowing dot on the screen. It was moving way too slow for her.
Surge turned to the Camera, "Hey Starline, Thanks."
The Camera seemed to zoom in on her, "Oh. Have you finally realized just how much I made your life better?"
"Surge, we don't have time for this!" Sonic growled as the red dot was getting closer to their little spot.
"I wanted to say thanks, because I was probably nothing before you did what ever you did to me. But you gave me a lot of fucking power. So you made it that much easier for me to fucking pummel you. You're nothing and when you get here, I'm going to make you shit your pants!" Surge growled, balling a fist at her "creator".
She then turned as Drippy jumped into Sonic's arms, they bolted out. Going up the mountain they had passed.
They kept climbing, all the way to the peak. The large came down on the old base, and flattened the small city.
Sonic looked smug, which he should have because there was no way that was going to do them in.
Sonic tapped his ear, "Alright, Vector, take us to Tails."
Surge frowned. That bitch had destroyed an entire base for being so petty.
"What do you mean? I'm right here, there's nothing." Sonic groaned.
As he said that, a shadow passed overhead. Surge and Sonic looked up to find a flying fortress overhead.
Sonic sighed, "Never mind."
Surge grinned. This was easy, all she had to do was climb two thousand feet of air and they could be done, "Alright Drippy, throw us up!"
Kit looked at her nervous, but nodded, "Yes ma'am." She felt his water tentacle wrap around her, and pull back. He launched her into the air so fast she couldn't hear Sonic's bitching.
She climbed, higher, and higher. It was getting closer… where did the wind go?
Surge realized she had lost a lot of momentum on the climb, about three quarters of the way up. Which meant if she wasn't going up…
Surge watched the ground quickly approach. She curled into a ball and began to spin to try and get the side of the mountain, unfortunately, Surge over compensated, drilling a fucking hole into the mountain, feeling her back bent and contort.
IT HURT LIKE A BITCH!
Surge saw water tendril pick her, "Are you ok?" Kit asked, concerned, and Sonic ran to her side.
Surge groaned, it would take a moment, and her spine would snap into place. Surge waited, and waited. It still fucking hurt.
Finally, she felt her back moving, and she stood up, "Well, shit, It looks like we won't be getting anywhere, fuck. Oh well, your friend is going to have to wait."
Sonic shifted uncomfortably. Surge wasn't blind.
"Alright, what the fuck are you hiding." Surge growled.
"I have…a way up. I don't know if I want to try though." Sonic grumbled.
Surge growled, "Well I don't give a shit, let's go and get this done!"
Sonic seemed to clench up, but he nodded, "Alright." He took out a warp ring, and threw it. They were back at his house.
He zipped inside while Surge waited. She tapped her foot, while kit flopped on the ground.
She was waiting.
Suddenly, Surgeh heard a small explosion. She saw a door off in the garage open up, with the puttering of an Engine. A bright red bi-plane came out, with the white words "Sonic" plastered on the side.
Faker boy sat in the cockpit, and gestured for Surge to get on. She ran up to the plane, "Oh this it? Fuck, we could have used this earlier! To get to the continent."
Sonic shook his head, "You'll see."
Kit jumped on one wing, and Surge jumped on the other. Faker leaned up and handed Surge a warp ring, "Remember to-"
"Yeah, yeah, top of the mountain, let's go." Surge groaned and the engine began to sputter. They started going… kind of fast, but Surge could definitely out run the plane.
Surge tossed the ring and it opened out side the top of the mountain right as the plane left the ground. They flew through, and Surge cheered, "FUCK YEAH! THIS IS AWESOME!"
Yeah, she could outrun the plane, but to fly this high off the ground was fucking fantastic. Surge saw Kit clutching the wing for dear life.
"Yeah, It's a lot of fun." Faker shouted at her. Then, she heard a beeping as they rose to the flying fortress.
"What the fuck is that?" Surge shouted, slightly confused.
"That's a "Hold on" Sound, GRAB A WING!" Faker shouted at her. The way he sounded, she didn't really question it. It must have been serious.
Surge saw hundreds of rockets fly out of the sides of the flat fortress. She tightened her grip as Sonic called out, "HOLD ON!"
Surge braced as the bi-plane spun to its right, and Surge clung to the wing as she spun upside down. The plane completed its loop as several missiles flew past them, before the plane shot upward, avoiding even more missiles.
Surge finally lifted her head and called out, "Damn, faker, next time tell me before you take me for a ride!" She was laughing. Surge tried to stifle it, but that was fucking fun. She then saw the missiles curve and turn around, "uh-uh, SHIT!"
Sonic turned around and reached into his cock pit. The missiles were getting closer. Surge did not feel like falling from another bullshit height, "FAKER!"
He stopped reaching down, and then pulled out a large gun with a disk magazine. He then shouted, "Kit, Keep us steady!"
The Fennec perked up, and his water tentacles went to grab the control stick. Sonic turned around and pulled the trigger. The gun fired back, hitting some of the pursuing rockets, which caused a chain reaction with like five missiles.
Surge watched his controlled bursts, "YOU HAVE A GUN AND WE STILL HAVE TO DEAL WITH EGGMAN? BULLSHIT!"
"I Don't use it for killing, just to shoot down missiles…and the occasional pest at our house." Sonic shouted back. He fired another burst and struck a couple more missiles. He then turned around as a set of missiles were getting really close.
Surge jerked around and gripped the wing as they dove down and avoided the missiles. The plane was going pretty fast in the dive, but Sonic pulled up. Surge was having a blast as they were so close to the fortress.
Rockets flew out of their wings and hit the pods of missiles on the side. They were several rockets on this plane too?
Surge was having a hard time registering everything this plane could do, but as the missiles crashed into the flying ship, she didn't see a need to look further, "Alright, let's bring her in for a landing and fuck shit up!"
Sonic called out, "He-he, about that?"
Surge jerked around as she came to the realization. As the plane turned around and leveled out, she ran across the wings and grabbed Kit, "We got to go!"
They ran and jumped onto the platform. Kit landed on his belly, but Surge rolled and landed on her feet. She then turned and saw the plane turning to land on top of the flying base.
He was coming in too low. Surge began to raise her hands trying to tell him to go up. Unfortunately, he didn't listen too well, and the wheels hit the edge of the fortress.
The plane caught and flipped spinning around before slamming down, skidding all the way to large control tower at the end, past Surge.
She ran over to the wreckage, and actually felt…worried? Of course she was fucking worried, he had her only way off the stupid base.
As she got closer, Surge heard a click, and saw Sonic drop down on his head, and groan, "Uh… what happened?"
Smoke was rising from the engine, meaning the thing probably couldn't fly. They'd figure it out.

I totaled the tornado.
Alright, next chapter is coming tomorrow. I guess I timed this story perfectly for the Surge…well surge. Or maybe the section uploading system is good. I don't know, might require more experimentation.
Alright, you can review and I'll respond in the next chapter, or you can private message me and I might respond a little faster, or not.
If you have criticism, and you don't want to necessarily share it with the world, you can private message me and it will stay in the private message. I know some people are worried they will come across as jerks for saying they don't like something about a story.
