Sasuke being the complex character he is, I'm fully aware I'm going to fail along the way. No idea where I'm taking this short? Medium? Long? story...but Sasuke stories sort of require good writing, or to be a cheap bastard and use the most boring, complete, or just young versions of Sasuke. Sasuke right after he gets tortured? Pretty easy. Sasuke In boruto? Why would you even? There are more interesting characters to use in the boruto era, than a dude who has pretty much completed his development. Like my other failures, or non finished projects, some that will never be published on any site...this is a learning experience.

"That was needlessly dangerous!" Colbert yelled. He had maintained his composure for as long as he could. Louise was not in the mood to take it.

"He is my familiar! I did what I had to!"

"You could of been harmed. Or killed, miss Louise." Headmaster Osmond reasoned.

"If I didn't complete the summoning ritual, I would of wanted to die any way!" Louise screamed.

There was a pause. The seriousness of the full situation not missed by any of the three. Louise looked ashamed, embarrassed, but not regretful.

" I did what I had to. When he was hurt from whatever he did to himself, he went out of his way to protect me. I think he was just scared."

"I'm glad you completed the ritual, Louise. I simply wished you didn't believe the risk worth your life. He seemed very hostile. Nonetheless, what's done is done." Colbert seemed to change tunes. A spark in his eyes.

"Yes, that really only leaves us with waiting for him to awake. Again, our apologies for having to confine him. His first action was to take hostage one of our students." Osmond apologized.

Louise shook her head. "I completely understand, headmaster. He is my responsibility, and I'd hate for him to hurt anyone. I still...well, we'll work on his hostility."

The accomplished and wise men had a feeling she doubted if she could actually control the young boy, given her history.

"I have so many questions! Is he human? What allows him to shapeshift? You say you saw markings over his body? Perhaps he ran afoul some nasty spirits? Or he might just be a rather convincing humanoid. He flew, did he not? Perhaps you are a wind mage, Louise!" Colbert was in full study mode. Louise couldn't help but smile.

"Calm, Colbert. Usually a familiar would be your own duty, Vallière, but given the circumstances, when he wakes, we will call for you here."

I'm going to hurt that girl. I'm confined in freaking rock. It is not comfortable. The man from earlier is here, but someone older is also present. Old enough to have white hair. This room looks important, like an office, but not a cell. Hardly where you should keep a prisoner.

"Can you understand me?" The old man asks.

I consider acting ignorant, but for some reason, I can understand him now. It might be best to cooperate a bit.

"Yes, I can understand you. I'm assuming this goes both ways?" The younger man nods. The old one smiles.

"Welcome to the Tristain academy of magic, within the country of Tristain on Halkeginia. How are you feeling?" Oldy greets.

I have no idea where I am, but he doesn't need to know that.

"I feel fine. Why am I here?"

"Our 2nd years were performing their familiar summoning rituals. Miss Louise de la Vallière, your former hostage, summoned you." He was not fond of me. No matter what his face and tone tried to convey. I'm not stupid.

"I don't know you people, I was outnumbered, and the man over there seemed ready to attack me. I didn't harm her."

"So you were afraid? That is fair." This cocky old man.

"I am headmaster Osmond, this is Professor Colbert. May I have the pleasure of your name?"

No way I was telling them my name. Shit, I had my sharingan on earlier. I wasn't thinking straight. Hopefully no one...I have the uchiha symbol on my fucking clothes. How was I supposed to know I was going to be in this situation?

"Sasuke Uchiha..." I might need to push some weight around here. "...Last Uchiha of the mighty Konohagakure of the Land of Fire." That wasn't true anymore. But I can't expect Orochimaru's name to mean anything good to these ppl.

They frowned.

"Last Uchiha?" Colbert questioned.

"Konohagakure?" Osmond questioned.

Had I overspoke? Did these two not know who I was? Who the Uchiha were? What happened? About the whole damn leaf village? Where am I?

"You spoke of a summoning ritual earlier. I don't know your curriculum, but how does a girl summon a person via the summoning Justu? And why name your school after magic?"

"Why don't we answer a question, and you answer one of ours? When things are settled here, we can re-introduce you to Louise. You will be her responsibility. As for your 1st answer, It is unheard of for anyone to summon a person as their familiar. But she did the ritual, she apparently used an off script chant, but still. She asked for a powerful, smart, beautiful, and loyal servant. Colbert remembered every word. Her peers got animals, like frogs, dogs, salamanders and one dragon. Your turn." Osmond explained.

What did he mean by servant?

"I am one of the last members of my clan. And the last one loyal to my country." That poor girl. "What do you mean by servant?"

"Familiars are meant to serve their masters. Which usually isn't an issue. Even the ones with human intellect are never actually human. Are you truly a human being? You looked monstrous when you arrived."

"I am human, what you saw was the result of a curse seal. It makes me stronger. Magic?"

"We teach magic here. So we are a magic academy. Konohagakure?"

No, these people are stupid.

"You can't actually believe you have magic. Konohagakure, otherwise known as the village hidden in the leaves. Home to the Uchiha, Hyuuga, Sarutobi, and Inuzuka clans." No way they don't recognize those names.

The old man raises his staff, and I stiffen in my rock prison, a gust of wind blows across my face. I scoff.

"Seal less, D-rank, wind justu isn't magic. I don't need seals to make weak flames either. Do it again, I'll prove it to you." I already showed them my seal, and told them my name. Let's copy a stupid wind just to make these crazies shut up about magic.

The headmaster laughs.

"Let Colbert release you from the rock first. Then, I'll show you a wind trick."

I see no chakra anywhere, not in the rock, not in these men, just nothing. Did the seal mess up my eyes? Colbert sets me free and I can't help but show my confusion.

"I show you my wind trick, and you show me a fire trick?" Osmond asked, while raising his staff and pointing it at his desk. Items twirl in a tiny tornado, eventually falling properly back into place. Not a hint of chakra. God, please, no.

I try to keep my composure as I set a small flame on my hand.

"Detect magic." Osmond and Colbert both say. They have the same reaction.

"It's...something. But can we call that magic?" Colbert questions.

"If it isn't magic, what is it?" He seems to be talking to Colbert, but I think answering is in everyone's interest.

"Chakra, I use chakra. It is a combination of physical and spiritual energy. There are different types of chakra. And it can be used for just about everything. Boosted physical ability, the basic elements, fire, lighting, water, earth, and wind. Healing, summoning, seals, so on. My eyes are a chakra mutation, a genetic trait of my clan. We can see chakra. I can't see any chakra in you two. And I'm assuming you didn't find what you were looking for when you tried to detect magic in me. " My life might just be the biggest joke in existence.
