Nico POV:
Dumbledore had given us each a schedule of classes he thought we'd enjoy, however, Defence against the Dark Arts and Care of Magical Creatures were the only classes we all had together. This is what happens when Chiron gave us the news so late, no time to prepare for anything, but then again we couldn't blame him too much. Some events were happening recently that made little time for others.
We put back our schedules after comparing as more students began entering the classroom. "We should find a way to contact one another in case of situations-" Annabeth stopped as Hermione sat at the seats behind us joined by Ron Weasley and Harry Potter. "What situations?" Hermione asked. Annabeth chuckled, "Percy he was just telling us about his Divination class,"
"Oh," Hermione said, seeming convinced. "Divination,"
"Hermione dropped out of Divination in our third year," Ron said, "She didn't have the sight or something,"
"Well then again, Hermione did a lot of classes in our third year," Harry added. Hermione whacked Harry and Ron on the head when a new face joined, sitting next to me, Draco Malfoy. I bit part of my lip. He was constantly nagging me at the feast. Talking, and talking, and talking, but I thought it'd be good if I was closer to him. After all, he seemed like the leader of most Slytherins. "Di Angelo," Draco said, looking around me to see Percy, Annabeth, and the others. "Why do you insist on sitting with them?"
"They're my friends from CHB, why not?"
"I suppose they are okay, but I meant..." He cocked his head to the side where Harry Potter and his friends were sitting, bringing out an obvious frown as if just looking at them gave him distaste, their mere presence ruining his day. "them,"
"I didn't ask them to sit here," Draco patted me on the shoulder. "I knew you wouldn't do something like socialize with Potter, Weasley, and the Muggleborn," I could tell he would have said something different than muggle, but the word still held so much loathing. He turned to face Percy and Annabeth shaking each of their hands as he flashed a smile. "I'm Draco Malfoy, Nico's friend, and you two are?"
"Percy Jackson,"
"Annabeth Chase,"
"Well, Chase, Jackson, why do you sit with people like them?" Before they could answer the teacher came in. He had a hooked nose and greasy black hair that matched his robes, Severus Snape. "Dumbledore wants us to start easy. In the next few days, we'll be reviewing certain spells. As this is a review, I expect you all to know the answers. Today, we'll be reviewing spells which are incredibly powerful or will be used when attacking people. Can anyone name some?"
Most students had their hands up in the air, I didn't bother, continuing to write with a quill on parchment. Draco had given me a lot of information concerning the battle of Hogwarts. If I wasn't able to speak with Percy and Annabeth, then I'd just send them a note with the information.
"Mr. Di Angelo?"
"Avada Kedavra," I answered, barely looking up from the paper. Chiron hadn't only packed the textbooks we needed for classes, but some extras he thought would've been useful. Annabeth had probably read most of them, but I was only partly through the first. Not knowing too many spells, I hoped it was the right answer. Despite all the talk about Snape and Dumbledore coming back from the dead, there were some rumours that he was a strict teacher, but nicer to students from the Slytherin house.
"A correct answer, a point to Slytherin," Snape kept asking other students, avoiding the hands of Hermione, Harry, and Ron, the two boys giving up soon. "Now, let's go out of the classroom. Each of you will duel one another, I want to see if you all remember how to,"
We headed through the halls following Snape down the corridors. I walked side by side with Annabeth and Percy, whispering to each other in Greek after letting ourselves fall behind. "Then the snake Nagini was killed and so was Voldemort," I said, finishing explaining what I knew about the battle of Hogwarts, slipping the parchment I had written in case they wanted further analysis or a reference.
"So Chiron should have gotten us updated history book copies," Percy said.
"I think we should speak with Dumbledore," Annabeth said, "Chiron mentioned that the battle wasn't finished as Dumbledore thought, so maybe he has some speculations that could help us,"
"The guy is probably bombarded with questions, I think it'll be difficult to see him, but if any of us get the chance to see him, ask for a way for us to see each other, talking in-between classes isn't exactly easy,"
Ron POV:
"I could have sworn those Americans were talking about you-know-who," I told Harry and Hermione as we headed to our next class. "After Malfoy began bugging us, I fell behind and I couldn't hear them too well, but I could make out that they said he-who-must-not-be-named,"
"Anything else?" Hermione asked.
"Yeah! They mentioned Dumbledore and Nagini,"
"Voldemort's snake?" Harry said.
"Yes, and also Ron! They were talking about me when I came over!"
"Do you think they could be Death Eaters?" Hermione asked, lowering her voice. "I mean, I'm not sure if the Americans were here for the battle of Hogwarts."
"They could be loyal to you-know-who and trying to bring him back!" I said, stating the obvious.
"When Snape asked Nico, the first spell he said was the killing curse, out of all spells," Hermione mused. "And Nagini was one of the Horcruxes,"
"So is Harry!" I said, "Do you think they're going to harm you, Harry?"
"If so, I think we can take them. I mean, we've dealt with Death Eaters before, and there's only three of them,"
"Wait. The Horcruxes are gone, how can they use them to resurrect him?"
"They must be using some other way! There's a lot of weird magic out there!" I said, "Maybe the burning food is some sort of ritual to help-"
"You three are sure chatty, what's going on?" We turned around to see Percy walking behind us. "Percy!" I exclaimed. Of course, one of the probably-Death Eaters was in our house. Most of our classes would be with him, he could have the chance easily to try and harm us. "Oh, we were just chatting about you-know-who,"
"Who? Oh, yeah Molde Short, I mean Voldemort,"
"You know of him?" Hermione asked.
"Yeah, but not Horcruxes. What are they?" We looked at each other, unsure of what to say. Bloody Hell. I thought.
