Generallius: As far as Sonic is aware, there is only more person he needs to save. Two more sections then the ending.

Yeah, I designed these stories to work like a game, because this was a play on a pitch that I heard for Sonic Frontiers, where Sonic's friends were put into Super Badniks. That being said, a lot changed as we actually got basic information about Frontiers. I still wanted each boss to have mechanics like you could code in a reasonable amount of time for a game.

The chapters were shorter, but the first two of every section hover between 2000 and 3000 words. The last chapter of each section is longer because it is the payoff for what the other two were building up for. I'll try to close some plot threads before the end.

Giyuufan: Everyone is scared of Vanilla. Cream is the most powerful character in Sonic lore, and she had learn that from somewhere.

/*-*/

Surge sat in the chair, sitting back and watching Kit run around and chase the little two-tailed freak around the lawn. She saw his smile, an actual smile. The little guy was happy, playing around, like his life hadn't been robbed by some fucking dumbass scientist. He had friends.

Surge saw Tails run over and tag Cream, who then ran after the blue fennec. Surge had no fucking idea why they found it so fun. It was the same thing over and over again. She could have tagged all of them in a split fucking second. It was frustrating how they were having fun with something so stupid.

And yet, Surge didn't want to break it up. Sonic was really making her fucking soft. She couldn't break up Kit having fun. It just… didn't feel right. He was home with these strangers. More than he ever was with her. That stung, even though she knew everything about their relationship was complete fucking hoax.

Surge hated it, she hated feeling alone in these moments. Everyone seemed to be stupid fucking happy, and no one acted like there was a mad doctor out there trying fuck everyone over. And Surge couldn't do anything about it, because they were happy. She cared about Kit, She cared about Sonic, She cared about… Tails… kind of.

She looked inside the house and saw the mother rabbit heating some water. What was her fucking name? It was a spice… Cinnamon? Thyme? Vanilla? That was it. Vanilla had a bag of leaves that she lowered in the steaming water. Surge heard a crash and turned around.

She saw Kit, flat on his face. His little eyes watered as he sat up. Vanilla came out and saw the little Fennec as Surge rushed over.

"Sheesh, droopy, shake it off, its not that bad." Surge growled at him, looking over his knee that was already healed. His tears didn't stop… because he didn't look hurt on his body. He looked embarrassed.

"Come on, don't be a pu- wuss." Surge commanded, a little harsher. The Fennec was still tearing up.

"Come here, baby." Surge turned and saw Vanilla standing there with her arms open. Kit hesitated to go to her, and looked up at Surge. Surge looked back down at him and backed away. The Fennec's eyes still watered, and he ran into Vanilla's legs.

Surge blinked as Vanilla wrapped er arms around the Fennec, and got lower, "Sh-sh-sh… It's ok… it was an accident." She cooed and stroked down Kit's head.

Kit whined, "T-They think I'm stupid now!" The little Fennec cried in her arms.

Vanilla simply kept stroking him, "No they don't… You tripped and fell. These things happen, Tails and Cream don't think any thing less of you. They just want to get back to playing with you."

Surge was thrown off. Kit was never this expressive. He had become so… talkative, and friendly with everyone. He was actually becoming more confident and as Surge watched him run off after the rabbit girl, she found herself wonder what happened to him? He was never this expressive with Surge.

Surge's mind focused on that point. He was expressive with everyone else… which meant Surge was…

She shook her head and zipped back to the table. She was Surge, Kit practically worshipped her. She couldn't be the problem.

"Hello, I want to thank you for saving me, Miss Surge." Vanilla held out a cup of brown tea.

Surge rolled her eyes, "The green purse wouldn't shut up about you. I just wanted some quiet." Surge took the cup and sipped the tea at the table.

"I see. You are one of those characters." Vanilla smiled at Surge with a confidence that made her nervous. This bitch was something else, and Surge could feel it.

"What do you mean by that." Surge growled, defensively.

Vanilla shook her head and bowed, "I did not mean to offend. Mister Sonic has a habit of attracting people with troubles in their lives."

Surge downed the rest of tea, "Cool theory, but I really don't care."

"Of course, you don't. You are too… "Cool" to care. Might I offer you some more tea?" Vanilla offered with that same smirk. That same smirk that made Surge want to beat the shit out of her.

Surge rolled her eyes, "Sure, why not." She sat back at the table while the old lady went back inside. She felt it once again. Surge felt alone.

She waited there at the table, and wondered why the Faker-boy was taking so long. She tapped her foot against the side of table.

Vanilla came back and sat down with a second cup of tea. Surge picked up her cup and drank it.

The old bitch seemed to look at Surge in a way that made her feel uncomfortable. Surge could feel her very soul being pierced, and it was pissing the tenrec off.

"Alright, What the Fu- what do you want?" Surge balled her fists, and grit her teeth, setting down the cup.

"Simply to pass the time with a new friend. We don't get many visitors, and I suppose that even with everything that has happened lately, I want to enjoy meeting someone new." Vanilla smiled at Surge. Surge growled at her.

"I ain't your fu- your friend." Surge kept her mouth in check, even though this lady was starting to piss her off.

"Well then, I suppose I am simply an old woman prying into your life." Vanilla smiled, sipping her tea with a soft smile at her. Surge frowned, and felt her quills standing up in defense.

"Well stop. I don't want to fucking talk to you." Surge growled feeling herself burning on guard.

Vanilla recoiled slightly, with a harsh frown. Surge didn't get the change of tone.

"Please don't use profanity around my little girl." Vanilla mumbled firmly which made Surge shiver. She couldn't explain her fear from the Rabbit woman. Something about this lady made Surge terrified.

"Sorry, I didn't mean nothing." Surge growled, looking away. She couldn't help that she felt scared.

Vanilla softened, and sipped her tea as the kids ran around once again, " I suppose I don't know how you were raised, even if I can see you're a lost soul."

"You don't know nothing about me!" Surge slammed her fist on the table. She saw heads move to the window, and the kids turned to look at Surge.

Vanilla remained unfazed from Surge's anger. That pissed her off more than anything. Everyone was still looking at Vanilla who simply gave a sad smile, "Sonic has a habit of attracting lost souls. Don't feel embarrassed that he makes you feel special. He has that effect on people."

Surge growled, her teeth grit as the kids when back to playing and the house guests went back to doing whatever they were doing. "I've got things I've got to do. I don't have time for blue-faker-boy."

Vanilla smiled softly, warmly, as if somehow soothing Surge, "You do care about him, don't you?"

Surge shifted, but nodded, "Yeah… I do. I'm supposed to kill him, funny enough. But I do…care about him." Surge felt very uncomfortable with all the mushy shit going around.

"So let yourself be happy. Enjoy these young years with your loved ones." Vanilla smiled, and sipped her tea again, "Don't put yourself on guard so much that you can't enjoy today." Vanilla was all too happy to give her fortune cookie wisdom bullshit.

Surge growled, "I can't, like I said, I've got things to do. I'm looking for my loved ones. Some as- jerk took me away from my family, and I am going to get them back. I can't exactly stay here and do that." Surge growled, before rethinking what she said and continuing, "He took my very personality away. He made me this monster, but I'm going to get my life back!"

Vanilla pursed her lips as Surge's words came to her, before Vanilla sighed, "I see. I understand."

Surge grinned at her admission and drank her tea, "Glad you see things my way."

"No, I don't. I understand your motivation, it's familiar to me. I don't agree with you, however. I don't you'll ever be happy. You will always search for that perfect family. Even if you find your parents, your expectations might be too big for you to ever be satisfied." Vanilla sighed in pity. Surge found herself getting even more pissed off.

This woman dared to pity her? Surge growled, "Oh yeah, screw you. You don't get what I lost, and what I deserve."

Vanilla sighed, and shook her head, "I wasn't wanted by my mother or father."

Surge felt her perfect stance trip up at those words.

Vanilla noticed and nodded, "I came from an orphanage down at South Island. That's why my last name is Rabbit and not Carrotop. I always wanted to find my mother and figure out why she left me. I went searching around the world when I was twelve." Vanilla sighed, in disappointment.

Surge rolled her eyes, hiding how interested she was, "So what? Did you ever find them? Your parents?"

Vanilla left a vague smile on her face. Surge waited for as long as her patience could with stand before asking again, "Did you find your mom?"

Vanilla shook her head with a smile and sighed, "I guess you really want to know?"

Surge realized she had been caught in the spotlight, "N-..No. But if I did really care about what happened, would you tell me?"

Vanilla smiled at the Tenrec, "I did. I found my mother. She didn't want any kids, and she didn't want me, even as I was growing up. That truth destroyed me." Vanilla looked at Surge with some sort of… pity, like she was predicting something about Surge.

Surge gulped, feeling a cold anger coming from the Rabbit. The woman had this crazy fucking aura around her that made her terrifying. Surge still had to ask, "What did you do?"

Vanilla's anger vanished, and took another sip of her tea, before sighing, "I did what any girl who had been rejected by her family would do. I wallowed in self-hatred, then I became rebellious and chased every boy I could. Eventually, I made a mistake with one that I couldn't undo."

Surge followed her eyes to little rabbit girl who was now chasing the blue fennec.

Vanilla sighed, "I decided I wasn't going to be my mother. I would raise my daughter with everything I had, even if I had to do it alone. And then I met people. A blue Hedgehog, a yellow fox, a green Crocodile." Vanilla smiled as she looked inside.

Surge felt like there were points she should have connected, but the bitch was being so vague she couldn't link them.

Vanilla finally sighed, "And as I celebrated so many adventures with them, I realized that I had a family. We didn't share blood, but we love each other, and look after one and other." She smiled.

Surge looked down, and slammed her tea, before setting the cup down on the tray, "So what's your point?"

Vanilla shook her head, as if Surge was a child. Surge was getting really tired of Vanilla looking down at her. But then Vanilla gave off a warmth that Surge wasn't familiar with, "My point is, if you want to pursue your quest to find your family, that is fine. Please consider, however, that you don't have to forget the ones you love." She looked up at the woods and hills.

Surge saw the blue streak speeding by the trees and over the hills. Surge knew he was back.

"Because you may find they love you back, and that is a better family than any blood can give." Vanilla smiled down at Surge.

What the fuck was she looking at? And what the hell was slapping her back? Surge looked around and saw her small tail wagging aggressively, threating to fly off. Surge growled at herself to get herself under control.

Sonic skidded to a halt, kicking up dust as he landed at the porch door step with bags in tow. Sonic held up the bags, "I got everything. Tomatoes, onions, Peppers, sausage, eggplant."

"Come put it on the counter, dear and I'll get started." Vanilla smiled and opened the door. Sonic zipped inside and set the bags on the counter, and Vanilla called out, "Kids, Come on in and help me with dinner!"

The three children playing outside turned and ran towards the house.

Vanilla went inside. After a few second Sonic came out with a cup of tea and sat down. Surge steeled her tail and reclined back in the chair.

The kids were inside, and Surge could hear hands getting washed. Sonic smiled at Surge, "So, how's it been?"

KILL SONIC! YOU NEED TO KILL SONIC!

"Been fucking interrogated by the rabbit's mom." Surge whispered, and then shuddered she saw the ears perk up from the rabbit mother inside, "Don't know why we needed to come here. I'm craving something greasy."

"Oh you haven't lived until Vanilla made you something to eat." Sonic smiled at her, taking a sip of his tea.

Surge rolled her eyes and looked out onto the hill where the kids were playing. She could feel Sonic's eyes still on her. She turned back to him and he looked away for a moment, "What's going on? Why are you fu-looking at me."

Sonic sighed, looking up at the ceiling, "Can we make a promise to always be honest with each other? I don't lie to you and you don't lie to me."

Surge frowned and thought about it for a moment. Did she really have something to hide? Surge gave Sonic a nod, "Fine, I promise I won't lie to you."

Sonic nodded back at her, and pierced her eyes with a smile, "And I promise I won't lie to you. So… can we talk about what you and Tails have been doing."

Surge felt her head come to screeching stop. She looked back at the hedgehog and realized that he already knew. She groaned, "It wasn't my idea. He just sort of took over, and showed me that he could find out where Starline was keeping anything on me. You can't blame for this."

Sonic held up his hands, and reached across the table, and held her hands, " I don't. I can't tell you what to think or how to act. I'm just saying that you didn't have to lie to me, or go behind my back."

Surge growled, feeling attacked, "Bullshit." She whispered harshly, ignoring the momma rabbit that was probably going to fuck her up.

Sonic sighed and shook his head, "I know you want to know more about yourself, but I don't want you to be disappointed with what you find."

He really didn't fucking understand. Surge growled, "Do you want me to stay like this? Are you happy that Starline twisted me into this monster?"

KILL SONIC! KILL SONIC!

Sonic sighed and Surge sat back. Then Sonic shook her with his words, "Yeah… I'm happy that Starline made you who you are. I don't like that you are suffering, but if he hadn't done that, I wouldn't have really met you and got to know you." Sonic sighed with shame. Surge knew it.

And yet she didn't feel angry. She felt warm with those words. Surge knew that Sonic was right. She wouldn't have met him if Starline hadn't done what he had done what he had to her. Still Surge… maybe it really didn't matter.

She looked down at her feet, "I know… I want to know more. I know you're probably right, that I'll be fu- not happy with what ever I find. But I need my family, I need someone who can tell me who I am."

Sonic smiled at her with that same smile he always gave, and Surge knew what he was going to say, "We both know who you are. You're Surge, the awesome, tough Tenrec who burst into my life."

Surge nodded, "Yeah… Maybe you're right." She sighed, feeling her will die down.

Kill Sonic… Kill Sonic.

Sonic sighed back at her, "Look, if you want to keep looking for this stuff, just say it, and I'll help you however I can. But… maybe try to consider sticking around with us. You mean a lot to me, and Kit is fitting in really well." Sonic smiled at her weakly.

Surge felt her chest tighten at those words. She nodded at him, before shaking her head, "So… got any weird stories to pass the time? Or you want to race?"

Sonic laughed, as if she just said something funny, before explaining, "Last time I had a race here, I tore up Vanilla's lawn. I think we'll stick to story time."

Surge reclined back, "Well, I think you know that I don't exactly have a lot of stories, so fill me in on your fu- messed up life."

Sonic sighed and nodded. They talked for what was probably a couple hours. Sonic, being a hero, had apparently saved the world like ten times. He'd saved Vanilla from Eggman apparently three times or something like that.

Surge actually enjoyed a couple jokes and jabs Eggman. Some of the stuff seemed crazy. Twice getting teleported in a story book? That was fucking stupid, but he insisted on it.

The time did come when the door opened as Sonic and Surge were laughing about apparently a time where Eggman supposedly imprisoned Sonic in another dimension, only for Sonic to run out of the dimension with his friend a few seconds later.

"You literally out ran a dimension?" Surge chuckled, bending her head down.

"I know, it sounds crazy, but it's true." Sonic laughed with her, setting his cup down.

She had really missed one hell of a fight. Then again, she was probably there at one point. Just… not her. Surge felt herself get mildly pissed at that thought.

Cream stood in the doorway, "Dinner is ready."

Surge stood up, "About time." She was hungry. She had sat down to listen to Sonic but that didn't mean she was distracted from needing food. She stood up and walked inside. There, by the window on the other side of the house was a table, with several seats.

Surge was about to rush over to the table, when Vanilla called out, "Surge, please wash your hands."

Surge turned and saw Sonic run his hands under water, and joined him. He smirked as she washed her hands over his, before going to sit down.

Surge pushed in her chair and looked at Sonic as bowls were delivered to the table. The red contents of the bowl had weird fucking triangles that made them stand out.

KILL HIM NOW!

Surge was about to dig in when Sonic poked her with his elbow. Surge looked at Sonic and saw him shaking his head.

Once the table was set and the food was delivered, Vanilla sat down and looked at everyone who had come, "Thank you all, for everything you have done. Thank you to our newest friends, who came and helped me and my daughter when we needed it the most. And thank you to Mister Sonic, who brought all of us together."

Sonic shifted with a bit of nervousness and pride. Surge realized that she was also thanking her and Kit. Surge shifted, "Y-yeah, well, don't make a habit of it." Surge growled at the rabbit.

Vanilla gave Surge a soft, forgiving smile that was very different from the other looks that she was getting. Surge could tell Kit felt uncomfortable as he sat between Tails and Cream. He had the opportunity to be a kid with them.

Surge realized everyone was looking at her, Sonic included. She looked around, not making eye contact with Faker-boy, "What, ya'll wanna fight?" Surge balled her fist.

"Try the food." Sonic whispered next to her.

Surge shuddered, looking down at the food. She picked up her fork and stabbed one of the triangles, dripping with sauce. Surge raised up the triangle, "Sheesh, you're acting like it'll change my life." Surge groaned and put the triangle in her mouth.

Something happened. The warm burst of flavor in her mouth. She dropped the fork.

"Mama!"

"Sh-sh-sh little Kiwi, it'll heal."

Surge shook her head, panting. She saw Kit locked up in his chair, his eyes wide and his shoulders locked up. What the hell was that?

Sonic and the others all starting fucking laughed, "Yep, first taste will do that to you." Then he squinted down at Surge, "Are you alright."

Surge couldn't explain why she was so panicked. She looked up at him, "What the hell was that?"

Vanilla stood up and Surge shrunk a bit, "Young lady, there is no call for that kind of language!"

Surge frowned. Why did she care? This bitch wasn't her… anything. She was just some friend of Sonic's. Sonic gave her a look, asking her to apologize. Damn, she was really getting soft.

Kill Sonic now! Kill him Now!

Surge groaned, "Sorry, dang it."

Vanilla didn't look particularly happy, but to hell with her. The rest of the table looked shocked, including Kit, but Surge really couldn't care.

She took another bite, and every went to eating their food. It was mellow, and sweet and something about just… stirred some shit inside Surge she couldn't understand.

They ate their food, and Sonic occasionally bumped her to answer some stupid question that the little shit had. Sonic would also bump her occasion with a playful grin. Surge return the bumps and couldn't help her chuckling.

The food wasn't explosively awesome, but it was awesome in its own way. Surge couldn't explain it. Still, the place was starting to get chummy as everyone joked around the table, and told tales that Surge had no memory of.

Finally after an hour, she gave Sonic a different kind of bump. Sonic read it, and nodded, "Well, I'd love to stay and chat Vanilla, but we have a bit of work to do tomorrow."

Vanilla raised an eye brow at him, "You still have to save Amy, correct?"

"Yeah, and I got a feeling that will be a tough one." Sonic stood up.

Surge nodded and stood up, "Come on, Drippy, let's go."

Kit looked up at her sadly, but he got out of the chair and walked over to her. He held up his tiny little arms, and Surge leaned down and picked him up.

Vanilla sighed, "Sonic, I would advise you be careful about girls' hearts. If you aren't careful, girls might get the wrong message from you."

Surge wasn't sure she liked the implication, with Vanilla starring straight at her.

Sonic smiled and laughed, "Come on, I'm not the guy to play around with hearts."

"You may not know that you're doing it." Vanilla sighed, before smiling, "Thank you for coming and helping us, once again."

Sonic nodded, "Any time."

Sonic and Tails went with Surge to the door. They waved everyone off and ran back to the house, this time without using a warp ring.

Turns out, it was a long run, but Sonic and Surge got to enjoy the run. Surge really liked Sonic, outside of the fact that she had to hate him. A shitty way to have your head messed with, and Surge partially hated herself for it.

She looked at Kit, who had made plenty of friends, and was fading in and out of sleep on her back. His life was good. Surge… wasn't used to caring about others, but Kit… she could see his life was better… without her. She was an anchor, and he'd follow her to the ends of the Earth.

They got back to the house, and Surge laid Kit in bed. Sonic started to go upstairs.

"Hey, asshole, where are you going?" Surge demanded, turning on the console.

Sonic stopped, "You want to sing?"

Surge felt the blood rushing to her cheeks. Right… Sonic was usually the one to start these things. Oh what the hell, "Yeah, Come on faker-bitch, show me some punk rock you got in you." Surge challenged.

Sonic stopped and laughed, "Alright… You think I got punk rock in me?"

"Shit, you'd have to if you beat me. No pussy could stand a chance against me." Surge growled, raising a fist to her own face.

Sonic smiled, and nodded, before zipping over and grabbing the controller, "Alright, if you think you can keep up with me." Sonic grinned at her, turning on his mic.

Surge did the same, turning on her mic as she won their playful bump match earlier with one last hit. She always got the last hit in.

Sonic rolled his eyes, and picked a song, pushing the mic to his lip, "I remembered black skies, The lightning all around me."

Surge shifted as Sonic grinned her way, continuing the lyrics that appeared on the screen, " I remembered each flash, As time began to blur."

Surge put the mic to her lips as she took the next part, " Like a startling sign, That fate had finally found me."

Sonic leaned in, "And your voice was all I heard, That I get what I deserve."

Surge saw the lyrics coming and seized them raising her voice in a cry, "So give me reason, To prove me wrong, To wash this memory clean!"

Sonic stepped in front of her, not even looking at the screen, "Let the floods cross, The distance in your eyes."

Surge took her spot, stepping to Sonic's side, where he followed and stepped next to her, "Give me reason, to fill this hole; Connect this space between!"

Sonic and Surge both arched their necks and sang into their mics, "Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies… across this new divide!"

Sonic continued to dance around her despite the coffee table in the way. Surge decided to play along, and the two seemed to move around each other in a circle.

Surge then saw the lyrics back on the screen, and leaned in, "There was nothing in sight, the memories left abandoned."

Sonic shook his head and lowered his chin into the mic, "There was nowhere to hide, the ashes fell like snow."

Surge leaned and gave a sigh, "And the ground caved in, between where we were standing."

Surge remembered falling, "And your voice was all I heard, and I get what I deserve!"

Sonic jumped in front of her and screamed into his mic, his voice sounding almost angry at her, "So give me reason, to prove me wrong, to wash this memory clean!" He arced his back once again, letting the rhythm take control, "Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes, across this new divide!"

Surge listened to the guitar take over the sound track as the two continued to challenge each other with firm and demanding gazes.

Kill him! Kill him now!

Sonic finally softened, and patted her shoulder.

Surge smiled, and picked up her mic, "And every loss, and every lie-"

Sonic jumped in as the two seemed to invigorate each other in a fucking cycling storm, "-And every truth that you'd denied!"

Surge jumped back in, "And each regret, and each goodbye, Was a mistake too great to hide!" She screamed into the mic.

Sonic joined her for the final chorus, "And your voice was all I heard, and I get what I deserve"

Surge took the lead, but got lower with her voice, letting every bottled up somber note out, "So give me reason, To prove me wrong, To wash this memory clean."

Sonic shook his head softly, "Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes."

Surge immediately hardened herself, "Give me reason, To fill this hole, Connect this space between!"

Sonic and Surge both screamed into their mics arching their backs, "Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies!"

Sonic took the next line, smiling at Surge, "Across this new divide."

Surge leaned lower into her mic, "Across this new divide."

They took that last line together, "Across this new divide…"

The two spikey rodents watched the screen fade to black. Then it burst up with lights as their score quickly tallied up. 99%. One fucking word.

Surge… laughed. She couldn't explain it, but she felt fine, enthusiastic. And so She laughed. She heard Sonic laughing too.

The two grinned at each other. Sonic got serious, and sighed, "Look… I'm sorry about everything that happened to you. I didn't know you and Kit have your lives taken away."

Surge recoiled from that, before groaned, "Oh shut the fuck up. It wasn't like you did this to me. Fuck Starline. I'll fuck him up next time we meet."

Sonic smiled at her and the two once again stared at each other. It was hard to imagine, a week ago, Surge was ready to kill him. Now… they were friends… or something like that.

"Hey… don't… leave me behind like that!" Tails' voice shouted angrily at them, panting.

The two jerked their heads at the fox. Tails blinked at them.

Sonic coughed, "Well. I'm going to take a shower, and get to bed." He ran up stairs.

Surge blinked. That was weird. Something felt off about everything.

Tails held up his yellow pad, "I found something."

Surge blinked at him, "Well, what did you find?"

"Starline will be on the continent in three days. All his information goes to the main hub, which is located under the mountain." Tails pulled up a map on his yellow pad.

Surge saw the pinging location. Surge growled, "Well, great! Just grab the stuff and send it over. Do your techy shit or something."

Tails slumped down a little, "It's not that simple. I tried to pull files from the main hub, but it was locked. I think that there are either hard copies, or it's a one way channel."

Surge blinked, "So I have to go there in person?"

Tails frowned and nodded, "It looks like it."

Surge sighed and nodded, before turning around. Sonic was glad that this stuff happened to her. If she found out, would it matter? Surge looked at her hands, then to her elbow as she flexed her arms. The metal bones were still there. Would answers really fix anything?

Surge growled, "You know what? Fuck it. I don't care anymore. I'm done being controlled by Starline. If we get to it, great, another L for the loser, but I'm not letting that bitch get another second of my life!" Surge balled her fist.

Tails recoiled, and blinked, "Are you sure?"

Surge thought for a moment, "Yeah… I'm sure." She'd just have to convince herself. It shouldn't be too hard.

/*-*/

Wow, that lunch turned into dinner, but you can't rush good food.

Surge has convinced herself for a second time that she doesn't need to find her family. Sonic and she are certainly getting closer, although it is still vague about their exact feelings about each other. I don't know if I want to leave it vague before the endings though. It feels weak for not giving a decisive answer about how the two feel about each other. I don't know, you guys tell me if you want a clear answer within the main story or if being open to interpretation is fine. The next section will be fun regardless.

Alright, so, leave a review and it will be answered when the next chapter is posted. If you want a question answered faster, or kept private, send a Private message, and I will respond hopefully by the end of the week.

Alright, Till next Section.
