Harry POV:

"Headmaster!" Hermione cried, looking over to Dumbledore. "Wizards can't apparate at Hogwarts!"

"They can't," Dumbledore confirmed, "I suspect she had help escaping from her associate."

"We shouldn't have let her talk!" I grunted, frustrated that we let the murderur of Sirius escape. "She would never give any information away. We should've just-"

"Harry, don't be upset. We have a difficult situation right now, I will continue to investigate. Yet so far nothing is of certain, we should continue our daily lives,"

"But Bellatrix, she-"

"I know she's out there, but like me, her powers are only starting to regain,"

"Dumbledore!" Ron cried, "She's going to be after my family. How can we just stand here doing nothing?"

"She's been told to hold back,"

"When would Bellatrix ever listen to someone?"

"She'd listen to Voldemort," A silence hung itself in the air, as we all considered the idea. The possibility of it was crushing. We worked so hard, sacrificed so much, and yet none of it was good enough. He'd just be back again like a book that didn't allow you to close it no matter what you tried. Hermione was right, just because we thought he was dead didn't mean he was. Voldemort could be breathing right now, waiting for his powers to return then prepare once again his advance on Hogwarts.

"Listen. You've spent your fair share worrying about troubles like this. Now, when the situation isn't dire yet. I suggest you take the chance to relax, I can handle this," Dumbledore let out a breath, and began walking back to Hogwarts. "It's late. You should all go back to bed, you still have classes tomorrow. As for you Percy, a professor will come to fetch you, Nico and Annabeth. I must speak with the three of you." I looked to Percy who had already begun following Dumbledore back to Hogwarts. then over to Ron and Hermione, we locked eyes with understanding. Something was going on with the Americans, and we were going to find out. If we couldn't go after Bellatrix, we'd investigate the person she gave a message to.

When we arrived back at the common room, everyone else had turned in. It was only Hermione, Ron, Percy and I. Professor McGonagall came in a few moments later. She looked tired but didn't consult us. "Percy Jackson," She said, "Come, we're going to fetch your American friends. The rest of you, get to sleep immediately. No points are taken this time, however, the curfew is important and you are known to disregard this rule. He-who-must-not-be-named is gone and you have no reason to break any more rules," Without another word she spun back to the door, Percy following her out. No reason to? If she knew what was happening.

Percy POV:

Professor McGonagall and I walked through the halls. Apparently, The Slytherin dormitories along with their common room were down in the dungeons. "How is your experience at Hogwarts, so far?" Professor McGonagall asked.

"Oh, it's-it's nice. I like it," No one in Hogwarts but Dumbledore knew we were demigods, Chiron warned us to keep it that way. After all, we didn't know what would happen if we were discovered. Although most people at Hogwarts seemed nice enough, I didn't know who would do what. There might still be dark wizards around who could find out our secret and exploit it, I wouldn't want anything to endanger the lives of other demigods. Annabeth would probably scold me or worse if I did anything that helped reveal our identities. I laughed, remembering what happened when she saw at the Roman demigod camp, Camp Jupiter, after months of no communication between us. The first thing she did was flip me over her shoulder. Being in different houses was difficult. Gods, I missed her.

"What's funny?" Professor McGonagall asked.

"Oh, no, it's just some memories I have with Annabeth,"

"You two have known each for a long time?"

"Yeah, several years. We've been through a lot together,"

"I taught her transfiguration today. She's a bright one,"

"I wished I could see her more often though. Gryffindor is a great house, but I can't help but want to see her. Nico too,"

"Perhaps Dumbledore can arrange something. He is headmaster, and you three... are a special case."

"I certainly hope so,"

"We're here," She said, stopping. She left me in the corridor as she went to fetch Nico, I suppose that was because I couldn't know the password, but then again, couldn't they just switch it? I suppose it made them feel more secure, it wouldn't be fair if I was able to see their common rooms and dormitories yet they couldn't see ours.

Moments later, Professor McGonagall emerged with a tired-looking Nico behind her. "Percy," He regarded me with his barely opened eyes.

"Hey, Zombie Dude!" I said, hugging him. Nico squirmed in my grasp before I let go. He looked up at me, "What are we doing now?"

"Well, Dumbledore asked to see us,"

"And Annabeth?"

"Yeah, we're getting her now," Professor McGonagall had already begun walking away, I grabbed Nico's wrist and rushed to catch up. "How's Slytherin?" I asked as we walked behind McGonagall. We both knew we couldn't discuss anything too important around here so we might as well make small talk.

"It's fine, I suppose. There's that ghost," I nodded, listening to Nico mutter under his breath. In the first few years when I realized I was a demigod, Nico had been proclaimed the Ghost King after a scandal with King Minos. It was natural that he had certain thoughts about the ghosts that probably shouldn't have been at Hogwarts at all. Plus, his dad was the god of the underworld.

"Did you find anything about Horcruxes?" I asked. Nico shook his head. Suddenly, Professor McGonagall stopped. She turned a 180-degree turn, now facing us, her eyes wide, her lips a straight line. "What did you say?"

Oops.

Wasn't I the one who just reminded myself minutes ago that I couldn't discuss anything too important?

"Horcruxes," I responded, "I heard Harry, Hermione, and Ron talking about it and Death Eaters. They explained to me what a Death Eater was, but they didn't tell me about Horcruxes. So I thought I'd ask Nico," Professor McGonagall placed a hand at the side of her forehead, shaking her head, "These students. Always getting into some sort of trouble. For so many years they sneak around when they have suspicions or want something. Don't do the same. It isn't important. After all, the battle is over now." She sounded like she was trying to convince herself, did she know about what happened with Bellatrix?

"Professor, who is Bellatrix?"

"Bellatrix? She was a faithful Death Eater to Voldemort, she died when battling Molly Weasley," I think the Professor didn't know about earlier. How the Death Eater who was dead, wasn't. I wondered about the message Bellatrix gave me. "How come you're so interested in all this he-who-must-not-be-named propaganda?" Professor McGonagall asked, her brow furrowing. I looked to Nico who shrugged his shoulders. I put a hand through my dark hair, "Ha, you see. Well, I think others can explain better,"

"Others?"

"Yeah, like Dumbledore or Hermione or Harry or Ron. They all were there," Professor gave a grudging nod, and pivoted back forward continuing heading west to the Ravenclaw dormitories. Nico glanced at me, I mouthed to him With Dumbledore. He nodded.
