Chapter 3

''I hereby call this meeting to order'' said Sarge banging a gavel on one of the tables, they were all gathered in the mess hall for this meeting, a couple of times to focus the others attention on him ''listen up Cupcakes, we arrived in Vale a couple of days ago, as Wash has told us this is where shit hits the fan and everything starts to go wrong, fortunately for us we have a year and a half to at least minimise the damage''

Normally it would have taken a week to travel from Mistral to Vale by airship, but for the Reds and Blues it had taken a month and that was because while they were on there way to Vale the Reds and Blues had stopped several times to help villages that were under attack by Grimm and while it had taken them a little longer they found it to be worth it, besides as Wash had pointed out they had a year and a half before the villains started making serious moves, so they had plenty of time.

''Now we're gonna here from Simmons and Wash since they have some important stuff to tell us and since Wash offered Simmons is gonna go first'' stated Sarge, banging the gavel down.

Simmons quickly got up and made his way to the front ''ok everyone listen up, we're sort of in a situation we've never been in before, usually we have someone supplying us with weapons and ammo, Project Freelancer, the UNSC, Chorus, we've always had someone to provide us with supplies, but now we don't'' stated Simmons ''now I've done some tests with this worlds ammo to see if we need to do any modifications to our weapons, fortunately the ammo of this world is safe for our weapons to take so we don't need to worry about that''

''So what's our problem?'' Grif asked.

''Weren't you paying attention dumbass, the problem is we don't have anyone to supply us with ammo, our guns aren't like the vehicles they don't have infinite ammo'' stated Simmons ''currently we have enough to last us a few months but yeah it won't last us forever, we need a way to get more ammo and for that we need money''

''But we don't have any money'' said Donut.

''Yeah, that's what I was getting to'' said Simmons ''I've been looking through our inventory to see if their's anything we could sell, I think we can sell the guns we found on this ship along with mines that we scavenged from the crashed UNSC ship''

''Are those the mines that sit on top of the ground with glowing blinking little red warning lights?'' Grif asked.

''Yeah they're the ones that don't really make sense'' said Simmons ''anyways, we don't really have any use for those so unless anyone has any objections we might as well sell them'' to which nobody spoke up to object.

''Is there anything else Simmons?'' Sarge asked.

''Just one last thing'' replied Simmons ''as I've said we don't have the UNSC or Chorus anymore and that means we don't have anyone to provide us with replacement armour incase ours gets damaged, now we did scavenge a few suits from the crashed ship, but like with our ammo it won't last indefinitely, so if our armour does break we're gonna have to try and fix it before jumping to replace it''

''Alright, thank you Simmons, you can sit back down now'' said Sarge ''now then Wash it's your turn'' Sarge banged down his gavel and Wash made his way to the front ''but first of all, you've finished that CCT transmitter thing, the thing that makes our radios work here right?''

''Yes I have'' replied Wash.

''Have you managed to make contact with Carolina?'' Sarge asked.

''No I haven't'' Wash stated ''which could mean she's dead, but it could also mean transmitter has a limited range or that her radio is simply not turned on or even broken''

Sarge nodded ''alrighty then I guess all we can do is hope, sorry for interrupting you go on''

''I don't have all the details alright, so I'm not sure how helpful this will be'' said Wash.

''That's fine, just tell us what you know we'll damage those parts of her plan which should hopefully effect other parts of her plan'' said Tucker.

''Ok then here's what I know in order, Cinder attacked the previous Fall Maiden to get her powers but wasn't able to get all of the power, she teamed up with Roman Torchwick, downloaded some kind of virus to control the Atlesian Knights, she joined up with the White Fang I think she threatened them, she caused a friend of mine to kill someone which sparked a Grimm Attack, she followed us to where they were keeping the injured Fall Maiden and then killed her and took all the power, she killed Ozpin and then… a friend of mine'' explained Wash his voice getting hollower and hollower as he went over Cinder's plan, to which Tucker placed a firm hand on his shoulder and Caboose hugged him to try and cheer him up.

''Hey I just thought of something'' said Doc, up until now he had been sitting quietly clutching his head ''I think if we save the Fall Maiden we might take care of most of the problems all at once, I mean think about it if she doesn't have the Fall Maiden powers she can't threaten the White Fang, if she can't threaten the White Fang, so she loses a sizeable force and… ok maybe it doesn't fix as much as I thought it did, but still it'll fix some of the problems right, I think we should start there''

''Yeah I'm with Doc, that sounds like a good idea'' said Tucker.

''So do I, the problem is I don't know anything about the Fall Maiden, just her name Amber'' said Wash ''and that's assuming Cinder hasn't already taken the Fall Maiden powers''

''Hmm, I might have an idea on how to find this Amber woman'' Simmons mused ''but I'll need to borrow your CCT transmitter''

''Sure, if it'll help use it, just don't break it I finished that thing recently I don't want it destroyed so soon'' stated Wash.

''Of course, give me some time and I'll see if it works'' said Simmons walking out of the room.

''Alright then, I guess we'll have to wait and see what Simmons's plan is until then this meeting is adorned'' said Sarge banging the gavel down.

''You know I still can't believe this was a thing they decided to add into the helmet'' said Tucker.

''Yeah, it is a bit absurd when you think about it'' said Wash.

The two were sat in the mess hall having a couple of beers and conversing between one another, they were drinking with their helmets on whenever they lifted the bottle up to there helmet the mouth piece would slide open revealing a hole, they would then put the bottle in the hole and the beer was funnelled through into their mouths.

''You know I don't really think about this much but we're in the past right?'' Tucker said ''that means that there is a chance we might meet a younger version of you''

''Yeah I guess there is'' said Wash.

''You said you we're trying to be a huntsman right? Before you went through the gateway you wanted to be a huntsman right, so do you have an Aura or a Semblance?'' Tucker asked.

''I use to, I tired to activate them when we got here and I couldn't, my only guess is that time away from Remnant sealed them back up'' stated Wash.

''Well that's a shame'' Tucker sighed ''so how old should you be now?''

Wash let out a sigh as he thought it over ''I think I'm sixteen around this time coming up to seventeen''

''Hmm, so what we're you like?'' Tucker asked ''I mean you must have been different when you we're younger, so what we're you like?''

''Yeah, yeah I was pretty different than I was now'' said Wash.

''So what we're you like?'' Tucker asked.

Wash was trying to think how to answer this question, but fortunately he didn't have to as the loud speak echoed through the halls with Simmons voice ''alright get your asses up to the bridge here I got it!''

''Well, I guess we better go see what that is'' said Wash getting up from the table, he was quite relieved to hear the loud speaker turning on, if Wash was bring honest he didn't want to discuss his that point of his life, he knew he was going to have to eventually, but he wanted to put it off for as long as possible, but he also didn't want the others and Tucker especially to learn that he had several sisters, he could imagine all the comments and jokes they would make about it and as for Tucker while he had defiantly improved he was still a bit of a skirt chaser so to Wash having multiple sisters was something Tucker must never find out.

Wash and Tucker arrived at the bridge at the same time as the other guys did ''oh you guys got here quick'' said Simmons as they arrived ''alright lets just get to it, I found a way to find the Fall Maiden''

''Yeah we kinda figured'' said Grif.

''So you found her?'' Doc asked.

''Yes and no, let me explain'' said Simmons walking to a monitor and starting to type ''you know how the government can track people with their phones, well I thought maybe the governments on Remnant do the same thing with scrolls, so using Wash's CCT Radio adapter transmitter I managed hack into the system so we can track her, but we have a problem since we only know Amber is her first name that means we have to go through every Amber and their are a total of 3125 Amber's on Remnant, it'll be more than likely that bitch Cinder got to her before we can find her''

Wash mused to himself for a moment before a sudden idea came into his head from somewhere, he didn't know where but it came from somewhere ''Simmons do you mind if I try something? He asked.

''Huh, oh sure go ahead'' said Simmons stepping away from the monitor.

Wash stepped up to the monitor and typed in the name Amber Autumn before pressing enter, to his surprise their was one result clicking on it, which opened up to reveal a profile with a picture of Amber ''you have got to be fucking kidding me''

''Wait what, that's not her right, I mean there's no way that's her name'' said Tucker in disbelief at what he was hearing.

''N-no t- that's her'' said Wash.

''What the fuck!'' Grif cried.

''You've gotta be kidding me!'' Simmons cried.

''T-that's not her real name right, there's no way that's her real name'' said Doc.

''Of course that's not her real name!'' Tucker shouted ''but what the Fuck! Cinder- Cinder I understand she planned to target the Fall Maiden, but- but this, does she just want people who know about the Maidens to target her''

''To be fair there is a Winter Maiden named Winter and that was before she got her Maiden Powers'' said Wash.

''Yeah, but- but-'' Tucker sputtered.

''Ah quit it with yer bellyaching over her name, all that matters is we can locate her now'' said Sarge.

''Sarge is right we can talk about her name later'' said Donut.

''At least you've got your priorities straight Pinkie Pie'' said Sarge ''Simmons can you put this on the main screen?''

''Yeah should be easy'' said Simmons walking back over to the monitor, after typing a few keys it appeared on the main screen.

''Lopez change head for that location'' ordered Sarge.

''[On it'' replied Lopez.

''Alright I think I'm missing something here, cause what is the plan?'' Grif asked ''what are we just gonna stalk this woman while waiting for her to be under attack?''

''If it's the best way to save her we're gonna have to'' said Wash ''look we'll think of something ok, but we're going to need to move quick, I don't know exactly when Amber was attacked so every minute she's out there is one that's leading up to Cinder's attack, with that said would you guys come with me to the mess hall''

''O-ok sure I don't think any of use are doing anything right now, but why?'' Donut asked.

''Because Agent Washington's going to tell us how to fight the mean lady and her friends, Colonel Cupcake'' said Caboose.

''Damn right I am'' said Wash grinning under his helmet.

-A Month Later-

Amber Autumn bit back a groan of pain as two of her assailants held her by her arms, the arrow in her back was a constant throbbing pain, she looked up to see the main assailant approaching her, this was nothing new to Amber she had been attacked several times sometimes by bandits because of her job as a Huntress and other times by Salems forces which she assume was what was happening now, but why keep her alive, why not kill her?

The main assailant smirked at her and reached to do something, when suddenly something flew out of nowhere and hit the main assailant in the side of the face and stuck there, it looked like a little ball of blue fire it was followed by a sudden cry.

''Three points ya dirty whore!''

That caused Amber's eyes to widen as she realised what it was, the assailants seemed to realise what it was as well because the female assailant rushed up to the main assailant and grabbed the fiery sphere, only to get her hand stuck as well, while the male assailant backed away dragging her with him and then…

Boom!

The small ball of blue flames exploded, though the explosion was small only blasting the two women and sending them flying, they hit the ground with their aura's shimmering, the explosion was soon followed by several gunshots which caused the male assailant to drop her and back off, with the arrow still causing her pain Amber turned the best she could to see who it was and couldn't believe it, it was the Reds and Blues.

Amber had heard about the Reds and Blues a few weeks ago, they had been gaining quite the reputation, Amber had heard that they were a group of supposedly Atlesian ex-soldiers all with different coloured armour who had saved many villages from Grimm attacks as well as getting refugees to safety, thought surprisingly almost half of them didn't have Red or Blue armour since three of them were wearing brown, purple and gold armour, as well as one wearing grey armour with yellow markings.

Nobody really knew anything about them, though they're were a few theories, like that they were actually a type of super advanced Altesian Knights who had somehow gained consciousness and escaped vowing to protect people or the theory that they were an Atlesian clone experiment, Amber didn't really believe any of these theories, though she could see how some of them started, their colourful armour defiantly looked Atlesian by design.

The Reds and Blues rushed in front of her while firing at the assailants, Amber noticed that two of them we're missing from what she had heard there group consisted of Red, Blue, Maroon, Teal, Gold, Pink, Purple, Brown and Grey, which is what they had come to be known as by the rumours since they didn't tell anyone they saved what their names were, Pink and Brown were missing from the group.

All of them except for Red and Gold were wielding rifles and was she hearing things or was Blue's rifle talking? Purple didn't seem to have a weapon though as he knelt next to her and said ''are you alright ma'am?''

Before she could answer though Grey barked out some orders ''Doc get her to safety we've got this!'' Purple, now named Doc, no dded back to Grey, he quickly picked Amber up in a fireman's hold and ran off leaving the others to fight, he put her down a little bit away from the battle, after setting her down he held his head and let out a groan.

''Are you alright?'' Amber asked.

''Y-yeah, I'm fine, I'm fine'' he said ''now let me get that out of you'' his hand wrapped around the arrow in his back ''this is gonna hurt a little ok'' she nodded and he started to pull, but then for a second it felt like he was trying to push the arrow into her, but then he corrected himself and started pulling again, eventually pulling it out, she gave a cry of pain as he did so and doubled over ''you alright? Sorry stupid question''

''I'm fine thank you'' said Amber sitting back up.

''Alright then, let me take a look at that'' said Doc and as he did Amber watched the battle between her assailants and the Reds and Blues.

The Reds and Blues were standing their ground and firing on the group of assailants who had to dodge out of the way not only from the shots in front of them but from sniper fire that was coming from a distance as well as grenades which were being lobbed at them from a distance, it seemed like the female assailant was trying to use her semblance to avoid the shots, but Blue's shots kept hitting her indicating that he was unaffected and eventually her aura broke with a blast from a nearby grenade knocking throwing her to the ground knocking her out.

The male assailant charged forwards dodging gunfire and the grenades lobbed at them and drop kicked Maroon, knocking him to the ground and seemingly knocking him out, breaking the line and forcing the Reds and Blues to scatter with Grey and Red fighting the main assailant, while Teal, Blue and Gold we're focused on the male assailant.

Teal put his rifle on his back and grabbed something from his side, Amber couldn't see what it was as she looked down when Doc applied something to her wound which stung like crazy, but as she looked down she heard a sort of shink sound, when she looked back up she saw he was holding some kind of energy sword now, which caused her jaw to drop, she had no idea a weapon like that existed on Remnant.

The Male assailant seemed surprised by it too, before trying to shake it off and act cool, she quickly jumped forwards and kicked at Gold, probably because Gold was the biggest and thus the easiest target, but Gold used his bladed grande launcher to block, but the force still knocked him to the ground, Teal then ran in and slashed at the male assailant but the male assailant dodged, Teal then began to slash at the assailant over and over again, he then leapt over Teal as Gold fired a grenade at him and tried to use a downwards kick on Blue, but Blue grabbed the oncoming attack and to Amber's surprise crushed and then started to slam him into the ground over and over again, like he was a rag doll, before throwing him.

Meanwhile Grey and Red were fighting the main assailant, she was using that trick with dust to attack them, fortunately their armour was too hard and the glass broke on impact, forcing her to use her bow which she used to fire shots, which they dodged, the main assailant was also dodging sniper fire and looking out for any grenades to be thrown, Grey then fired a burst from his rifle, the main assailant dodged but then Red ran up to her and blasted her with his shotgun knocking her back, to which Marron then acted, sitting up quickly revealing he was just pretending to be knocked out he pulled out some kind of weird looking pistol, but the design soon made sense as what Amber had assumed was the barrel launched itself onto the main assailant attacking to her leg before exploding, she quite exhaustedly pushed herself back up and was about to ready her bow to fire another shot.

When all of a sudden a familiar figure rushed in pulling out a sword, to Amber's relief it was Qrow, the main assailant let out a growl as the male assailant quickly rushed over to the down female assailant and picked her up before the main assailant threw something at the Reds and Blues and Qrow, it exploded which covered their escape, Amber let out a sigh as she felt Doc wrapping a bandage around her wounded area while the Reds and Blues and Qrow approached, they may not have captured her assailants, but at least she was alive.

So that was the chapter, I hope you enjoyed it, don't worry Tucker is not going to lose the development he got on Chorus, I want Tucker to still have his development but still a bit of a skirt chaser because taking that away feels like taking something vital from his character.

By the way I'm sure you know this but Amber's last name is not Autumn I don't know what it is nobody does, but I've heard people call her Amber Autumn so I just went with that and tired to make a joke out of it.

Oh and I don't know when Carolina is going to show up in the story, I know I want her to be here but I don't know when, oh and I think I've come up with an idea for Cardin which I'm probably not going to do because I think its stupid.
