Annabeth POV:

It wasn't abnormal for demigods to have trouble sleeping, several of us had nightmares all the time. However, I had none, yet I just couldn't sleep, remaining wide awake in my bed with no reason for it. I enjoyed Hogwarts so far, it was a great school, the books Chiron provided were really useful. Since I couldn't visit Percy nor Nico, I spent most of my time reading and memorizing. Thank gods, Chiron had the copies printed in Greek, it made things so much easier. I wondered how Seaweed Brain was doing with all this magic revelation.

I was visiting some family before all this, Magnus Chase, a cousin of mine. When I came back, I found that Apollo, the god of the sun, music, poetry, archery, and more, was cast down to earth as a teenager named Lester Papadopoulos by his father: Zeus, King of the gods. I suppose that's what happens when you're a demigod. Something is always happening. A battle against the titan of time who had taken over the body of one of your close friends. Finding out about the existence of Egyptian Magicians. A war with the Earth Goddess who had awoken with the blood of you and your boyfriend. Trying to find your cousin who had died once you arrived looking for him. Now this, sent off to a magical school you didn't know existed where you learn magic and are trying to find a threat with basically no information and leads whatsoever. Of course, there were some pros about the situation we were in at the moment. For one I got to see the beauty of the school and learn a whole new set of abilities.

I was a bit concerned about the situation though. Mere weeks ago, Percy had met my cousin Magnus, helping prepare him for a threat there. Earlier, Percy told me about the Apollo situation. Now, there was a possibility of another threat, it seemed these things never seemed to cease. There was a small sound near the outer parts of the dormitories. Strange. Students shouldn't have been up after curfew. Was it Percy? Was he sneaking out to see me? More sounds, most likely whoever was coming had already got into the dormitories. Probably not Percy then, you had to answer a riddle to get into the Ravenclaw common room. A shadow crept closer to the dormitories, creaking open the door. There were spells in place that prevented males from entering the female dormitories. I gripped the blanket, I felt my muscles flex in anticipation of an enemy and a fight.

The face of the person came into few from a small Lumos, it was Professor McGonagall. I let out a quiet sigh of relief. It'd be weird if it were a monster or whatnot, then my roommates would wake up to see me slaying something they probably didn't know existed. What would I say? How would Chiron react when I spilled the secret so early in our stay? It was fortunate, it was only a professor, however, I was still a bit disconcerted, why was the head of the Gryffindor house in the dormitories of Ravenclaw? She neared my bed. Did she need to tell me something? Could Percy-? I held in a breath.

Professor McGonagall gently tapped me on the shoulder, "Annabeth," She said, her voice so quiet it was almost silent. "Please, come. Dumbledore requested to meet with you and the other students from CHB,"

"Is Percy-"

"He and Nico are waiting outside for us," Professor McGonagall responded, clearly a bit surprised at my energetic state. She probably had thought I was asleep by now.

Percy POV:

"Seaweed brain!" Annabeth cried as she exited the Ravenclaw common room, her arms wrapping around me. I returned the embrace giving her a kiss on the cheek, "Hey Wise Girl,"

"Ahem," We turned over to where Professor McGonagall stood, a fist at her mouth as she pretended to cough. We both turned beet red. "We're allowed to do that Hogwarts, right?"

"I read the rules," I replied, "We're allowed to kiss," I gave a small chuckle. I had heard a few years ago, there had been a faculty member who made up so many ridiculous rules for students to follow, including one about more intimate interactions. Good thing we came to Hogwarts after she left.

"That is correct, but please be mindful about doing it," She said, "Now, follow me to Dumbledore's office,"

"How about you?" Professor McGonagall asked as we continued to walk to Dumbledore's office. She turned her head back briefly, making eye contact with Nico, "Do you have an intimate someone? A friend from CHB? Or myabe you've found a student at Hogwarts?" To most people, it'd look like Nico was still keeping a straight face as he answered, but for those like me and Annabeth, we knew him better. "Yes, I do." He said with affection in his voice, a smile tugging at his lips.

"How about you professor?" Annabeth asked, "Anyone special for you?"

"I did have a spouse once, it's been a while now."

We stopped in front of an elaborate part of the wall that resembled a griffin. After Professor McGonagall said, "Lemon tart," The griffin unfurled in a way making a door that led to a spiral staircase. The door closed behind us as we entered, Professor McGonagall following us to Dumbledore.

The headmaster sat in a comfortable looking chair, his chin rested on his fingers which were intertwined with one another. His white beard flowed over his hands onto the desk in front of it. He smiled as we entered, "Welcome,"

"Dumbledore," Professor McGonagall said, stepping forward, "Percy says that you can explain why he seemed so interested about Death Eaters, Horcruxes, Bellatrix, and all this he-who-must-not-be-named propaganda,"

"Is he now?" Dumbledore chuckled, "We had an unfortunate run-in you see, and Percy, not being from England was simply curious," I nodded my head. Of course, I was curious, why couldn't I have said that before? It worked for the Gryffindor students, why not the head of the house? I thought about the idea again, if Harry and his friends didn't believe me, maybe using the same reason on Professor McGonagall wouldn't be the best idea after all. "I will elaborate further later, Minerva, but for now I must have a private conversation with these students." Professor McGonagall gave a subtle nod, and left the room, leaving only us 4 alone, finally.

"We have a chance to speak to each other in private without any interruptions, at last." Dumbledore remarked, leaning back in his chair.

"Do you have a way for us to meet together?" I asked.

"Yes, of course, but first I feel that Percy has something to tell you now that your professor is gone," Their eyes all fluttered over to me. I pursed my lips for a moment before telling them about the encounter with Bellatrix, explaining what else I had learned, like how Death Eaters were followers of Voldemort. My eyes flickered over to Dumbledore for a few moments, waiting and watching for the headmaster to add anything, we both knew that he knew more than I did and could explain it better, but Dumbledore remained silent, letting me speak without interruptions.
