" I've made an unforgivable mistake." Osmond whispered. He let those children go fight that boy. Somehow, while acknowledging the danger, he convinced himself that things would go smoothly. What an idiot. Kirche and Tabitha were foreigners, yes, but he didn't actually believe that made their lives worth less. It simply wouldn't be a big deal if nobles heard that foreigners 'were forced to fight a monster'. Oh how big a deal their deaths would be.

" You are not the only one at fault. When that familiar attacked my students, I should of shown no mercy, held nothing back! I gave him a chance to surrender, and he punished me for it." Colbert was furious. A rage he had long ago sought to master, was burning bright.

" The situation, as we currently understand, is a hostile, bare minimum triangle class threat, is being protected by the girl we suspect to be a void mage. No more excuses, no more mistakes. Colbert, we will do our best to right this wrong. First, we must inform those involved."

" The school grounds will be swarming with nobles, soon enough. Some people might even try to make a name for themselves hunting Sasuke down. The issue, is that by his account, he was his country's definition of a line mage. Can you imagine what will happen if an army of people stronger than him marched on our lands? What his people's definition of a square class should be capable of?" Colbert was pacing.

" We have no reason to believe we will ever interact with his country. Even if we do, we can likely avoid such a scenario." Osmond had doubts Sasuke even originated From this world.

" I might have to put off that heist. The last thing I need are rumors that I was associated with Louise and her Familiar when the news about student deaths breakout. I suppose I can still stick around?" Matilda wondered.

Siesta was on schedule to collect Professor Colbert's laundry. He was a strange man, almost nice. As nice as any noble could be. He liked to ramble to himself so often all the common folk on campus knew about it. A lot of his ranting was useless to Siesta, so she was polite, and ignored it, today was different.

" How different from magic can chakra really be?" Colbert could be heard just as Siesta was about to ask for mission to enter.

The servant girl froze, horrified.

[ How does he know what chakra is? And for how long? And how much trouble am I in?]

Siesta was on the verge of a freakout. She had never had a good excuse to touch Colbert's bare flesh. She was fast and loose with a few unfortunate students, especially the boys. It had earned her docked pay and punishments, but the few fools she touched, were marked with her seals. The teachers of the academy were a completely different issue. She only had three of them marked, and one of them wasn't even on campus anymore.

Naturally, she never dared try to touch the headmaster. And her most recent attempt to mark someone wasn't even a student. That brat Valliere's familiar. Somehow, he was always positioned to where she knew it would be odd to touch him. Clearly the antisocial sort, despite his eagerness to walk around with her.

" Could the appropriate usage of wind magic rob Sasuke of his ability to fly? Or would his own chakra abilities keep him afloat." Colbert let out a massive sigh.

Sasuke, the new noble? The familiar noble, who had ran, Louise soon to follow? Colbert believed him to have chakra?

[ This is too much, but I'm apparently in the clear. I need to corner Guiche next time he is alone, command as much information from his as I can. I simply thought Sasuke was some demon shapeshifter, but if he uses chakra...] Siesta walked off to call in a favor from one of the other working girls, to have them handle Colbert's laundry today, she had important work to do.

Over the past week, Sasuke taught Louise the most basic of survival and medical lessons. In turn, Louise filled Sasuke in on every piece of information about her country and local landscape as she could. Currently, Sasuke was showing Louise some of his jutsu.

" Wow, you look exactly like headmaster Osmond." Louise felt justified to have been refereeing to Sasuke as a shapeshifter in her mind.

Sasuke returned to looking like himself.

" And with the explanation I gave you, you remain positive that practically no one will see through my disguise?" Sasuke walks to a bush.

" I'm certain. We are not used to dealing with powers like that, Sasuke." Louise watched as Sasuke picked up a small stick.

" Good. You remember when I said we would be changing routine today?" Sasuke threw the stick onto the ground between them. Louise frowned.

" Try to use your fireball spell, then try to use levitate." Sasuke started juggling sticks while watching her expectantly. Louise rolled her eyes, but bit her tongue.

[ I'm strong, I know that now. Surely using a real spell is within my reach?]

Louise took a deep breathe, pointed her wand, and shouted.

" Fireball!" the stick exploded, with not a single spark, somehow. Louise deflated.

" Try to use levitate. Walk me through what you are feeling, and how you envision it." Sasuke continued to juggle sticks.

" Sasuke, can you describe how one of your jutsu feel?" Louise asked.

" I'll give you a description for fireball jutsu. My chakra is my power, I can feel it coursing through me. It is molded by my will, and I must force it to be warm, hot, to be fire. I gather it in my chest from the rest of my body. My chest feels heavy, but not in a physical way. From there, I force that warm pressure to escape from my throat, to let loose and expand." Sasuke juggles the sticks, while doing a hand seal, burning one of the sticks in the air.

It was not the most elaborate expression of how it feels to wield energy, but it was a start.

" My magic is in my core, I point my wand, grasp it. Focus, I want to gently lift that stick. My magic is crawling, at the ready. Magic is in my wand, stable. Levitate!" Louise shouts. Yet another stick explodes. Louise looks embarrassed.

" We have all day, again." Sasuke adds more sticks to his juggling.

I will show more of Sasuke and Louise just chilling, really. Training, learning, surviving, and the like. Alongside that, I will be showing the reactions of other characters. It will be at least 3 chapters before They interact with any important names.

I didn't want to dive right back into Louise suffering, you will see more of her mental damage later.
