I'm on vacation. :)

No idea how, but apparently I fumbled. I want to make it clear that it does not matter if Sasuke and Louise killed Tabitha and Kirche on purpose or not. Sylphid was an eye witness. Sasuke attacked, Louise defended, 2 people died. Sylphid tried to kill Sasuke, and Louise defended him, on top of that, Louise is Sasuke's master. She is responsible for anything he does, especially if she doesn't help fight him. If Louise and Sasuke talked to Osmond, and fully explained the situation, they would still be criminals, and would be asked to turn themselves in. Louise originally was going to do this. She changed her mind before defending Sasuke from Sylphid.

- Had a death in the family, we rarely met, but it threw me off from writing about a story that is now very much wrapped up in death. On that note, the B and U events should also throw me off, but have appeared to do the opposite.

It was late at night and Siesta was in the forest. She activated her storage seal to get a copy of her family's journal. Siesta never cared much about the history of her powers, only what they could get her, what they would help her and her family achieve. This sentiment was shared by most of her relatives. Her grandfather was an exception.

[ Yeah, yeah, Uzumaki...Senju..Uchiha!] Siesta pumped her fist. It wasn't like the Uchiha were a hard to find mention in the journal, Siesta was simply the type of girl who only cared about what she could use for the future. Decades of effort had been made, and her family had a nice thing going. They still needed to appear like powerless commoners, but not for long. Siesta believed by the time she was 30, that her family's many slave sealed nobles could be put to real use. Have them use their absurd magic against each other, establish a better order in Tristania. Grandfather preached about the benefit of making their lives better from the shadows, but her uncle and father never agreed.

[ I shouldn't look down on my own gifts, but this would be so much easier if all I had to do was look the nobles in the eyes. I'd be touched so much less.] Siesta was glad that there wasn't a lot of information about the Uchiha. Not because more info would hurt, but because if there isn't much info to be read, she can't be deemed lazy for not reading it.

" Valliere really summoned someone from one of the two founding clans of Konohagakure? I don't know how this affects me." Siesta mumbled. The best of the Senju and Uchiha clans were supposed to be god like. World shaking figures. Sasuke was a child, and yet, apparently killed two nobles.

[ They really were ruthless in our ancestral land, huh?] Siesta grew bored of the reading, and headed back to the academy.

Every night, Louise's sleeping form was pitiful to look at. She tossed, turn, cried, and groaned. Occasionally, she'd wake up, her eyes open, but unresponsive. Sleep Paralysis. On those nights, she would have a freak episode. Pitiful. Sasuke was not without empathy. He could recognize her condition as pitiful, while also wanting her mental wounds to recover. He was no stranger to a fractured mind. Louise had it lucky. She was even luckier for not understanding that she was lucky.

The pinkette wasn't foolish enough to act tough after she would awake. But throughout their daily activities, one could almost believe she wasn't tormented.

Sasuke was constantly disgruntled. His only support was traumatized and had overly specific talents. He lacked a teacher, or some other useful means of getting stronger. He was painfully familiar with making his own training regime, and the lack of stores that could cater to his needs wasn't even that big a deal. Admittedly, the curse mark and familiar rune likely gave him more power than 2 years worth of training ever would. Sasuke knew that wouldn't be enough, however. He needed to learn new jutsu, learn new tactics, develop better skills, not just strengthen his muscles.

Louise was too much of a novice at using her magic for this to be a helpful thought, for now, but eventually, Sasuke wondered if she could channel her mystical power into physical prowess?

Sighing, the Uchiha began to walk towards the river they had set camp by. He spotted a deer, far up stream. Sasuke threw a shuriken out to his prey. A thud can be heard, as the weapon strikes true.

" Ow!" Louise was not happy. Sasuke insisted that she needed to be able to run. Any time he thought she was slacking, he threw a rock at her. Her back probably looked like it was attacked by bees. Louise did not like all of this running.

" Pay attention." Sasuke ordered. Louise growled. On top of running, she was supposed to be increasing her situational awareness. " Fireball!" A small, yet still to big, blast occurred in the river. Louise was to blow up every green fish, as one of the local green creatures were unsuited for humans consumption. The species also looked far too similar to the other 2 green fish species, so Sasuke decided all 3 were a fine starting point for her to practice on. Control, awareness, and cardio, all in one. Louise was starting to hate Sasuke.

" Ow! The explosion wasn't even that big!" Louise complained. Sasuke threw another rock, punishment for her volume.

Deep breath.

You're a coward

Hold.

Why did I waste so many years, waiting on you

Exhale

Louise, just turn yourself in, don't embarrass me any further

Rouge shinobi aren't too uncommon, in Sasuke's country. A lot of them are stupid. But some of them are so strong, it's best to leave them alone.

That's the goal. We'll get so strong, that everyone not only leaves us alone, but bends to our will. Sasuke likes that idea a lot, in his own way. I hate it. I don't want to be feared. I want to be loved, adored, respected, like a proper noble.

"I've been thinking." Sasuke said

"Hm?" There's a lot he could be thinking about.

"How positive are you, that you aren't a void mage?" Sasuke gives me a piercing stare.

I lower my wand. My body trembles.

"Everyone wants to be strong. A void mage. But it's something completely different. It's so far beyond what anyone else can do. And the mere idea that someone like me could be one, is blasphemy." My teeth grit. Sasuke scoffs.

"I'm so far beyond what you people have shown me. And I've always felt like Osmond and Colbert knew more than they were leading on. I think you have a bigger issue than just having too much magic, too little control. I think you are operating on different rules than everyone else."

"You are wrong!" Sasuke wouldn't understand. The clans of his country seem to all be far more unique than made any sense. Their 'chakra' far too divers in it's abilities.

"Listen, Louise, just try something. Your magic has a lot to do with your mental state. So don't think flame. Think void, whatever that means. Whatever it means to you, in particular. Do it, aim far away from our camp and this stream."

Sasuke won't budge until I show him how dumb this is. Void. Void magic is all encompassing. All mighty, every lasting, Holy, Godly. More pure than royalty. It is righteous and good.

"Explosion!" I scream, pointing at as far away into the forest as I could imagine. And the biggest explosion I've ever made in my life resulted in Sasuke tackling me to the ground. The sound was anything but Holy.

Originally, Siesta was supposed to be an ally turned enemy, as a respected and revered Void Mage, Louise would never allow her to have her way. Outlaw Explosion Terrorist Louise, might still have beef with the peasant rebellion. I already gave Siesta chakra, so I'm not changing that. And while she would make a crappy ninja, not even genin level, I still want to use her.
