Harry POV:

It seemed as almost all of the students were immobilized, standing there unmoving. "Are those Veela?" Ron mumbled, trying to pry his gaze from them. Veela were creatures that had a lot of charm and could draw attention due to their looks. Seeing these circumstances, it was highly likely they were Veela, if not for the other parts of their body.

"Does anyone want a kiss?" The leader said seductively. "You all want one." Suddenly I felt a nagging in my mind. It was like an imperius curse, but different in a way. I suddenly wanted to do all I could to please her. I needed to. Most of the students seemed to be in a trance, leaning closer, or looking longingly at them. The Americans seemed ill-affected though, rather they looked worried, or nervous.

"What a feast," One of them said, "Are we allowed to drink?"

"No," the leader said, "Not yet," She inhaled a large gulp of air, "They're here, in this room. I smell it," Her red eyes roamed around the room looking over each of the people in the hall. She licked her lips. "Excuse me," I said, "But who are you?" There was a lot more I could have asked and wanted to, but that question was the one I wanted answers to first.

Her eyes directed towards me. "You. Harry Potter, come here." There was something when she spoke, those two words, come here, had so much power in it that I found myself taking a few steps forward before restraining myself to stop. "No," I said firmly.

"What?" The leader said surprised, but her shocked expression didn't stay long. She smiled, nodding her head. "I see," She said, starting to raise her voice, the group with her, speaking in sync. "Attack each other, all of you, and for those of you who can - use the killing curse."

Uh oh.

Most students had their wands already drawn and started firing spells at each other, if not for that they didn't have much experience firing the killing curse most would probably be dead. "Protego!" I cried, after dodging a few loose spells.

"Stupefy!" I swivelled around hearing Percy, Annabeth, and Nico's voice calling out the stunning spell. I turned around and took a small second to marvel in shock by their skill. The Americans were dodging any spell fired. Arching their backs, leaping, it was if they had spent years dodging attacks. "The half-bloods!" The leader exclaimed, she turned around quickly, her voice urgent. "Go!" Most of the girls - I didn't even know what to call them - went over to Percy and his friends while the rest began attacking the students who had fully or partially fought off their imperio.

Percy POV:

The moment they stepped into the great hall I thought: Oh, and now the empousa are here. How wonderful. Empousa were vampire-like offspring of Hecate, the goddess of magic. They could also charmspeak, when the user talks and everything's super convincing, most just go along and obey what the user says. I had a few encounters with them in the past, and now here they were at Hogwarts, just like the minotaur. Kelli, one of the first empousa I met, and more than a few times I can say, was leading the group. It seemed we still smelled like rotten eggs.

"Protego!" I cried, casting the shield charm, I see Annabeth and Nico doing the same. A shield charm, now I'm happy I read through more books. I knew it wouldn't do any good against the killing curse. "Magic now?" Kelli asked as she and some other empousa clawed at our shields trying to break through, "No matter, you're soo going down." She turned to a wizard, "You," she said, charmspeak in her voice, "Fire the killing curse at the d-"

"Flipendo!" I heard Annabeth cry. Kelli was hit by a flash of magic, and now she couldn't speak for the time being. I still had the nerve to chuckle, despite the empousa still attacking my weakening shield, "Nice one Annabeth!" Through her own shield, I saw Annabeth smile at me.

"Stupefy!" I cried, firing a spell. The blast hit an empousa square in the chest stunning her, but like the minotaur, after a matter of moments, she returned to scratching at my shield like the others. I wondered how long Kelli would remain silent, probably not long. Fortunately, the stunning spells seemed to work fine against the students.

"What is going on here?" I heard Snape's voice, but didn't look as I continued to fire spells. My shield was weakening, I didn't think it would last much longer. I heard more the blasts of more magic, more voices, more footsteps, the screeches of empousa as they were hit. Some of the empousa began bursting into flames, their way of teleporting, which only a select number of empousa could do. Most empousa were still here though attacking the faculty. I didn't know what happened, but suddenly our spells were once again working.

Harry POV:

I got up groggily to see the blurry image of the hospital wing. I put my hand on the nightstand finding my glasses. I was sitting on one of the beds, Ron, Hermione in the ones next to mine. "Hello Harry, how are you?"

I clutched my chest, "Hello Professor, I'm doing fine."

"I'm sorry if I startled you. I just wanted to see how you were all doing," Dumbledore was sitting in a nearby seat. I looked around the hospital wing, frantic, "How is everyone? Ron, Hermione, are they okay?"

"Everyone is mostly well. Some of the younger students suffered from heavy injuries which Madam Pomfrey is attending to, while the elder of the students, the ones who took part in the war are mostly fine."

"How about-"

"Percy, Annabeth, and Nico only sustained minor injuries." Dumbledore always knew what was on your mind, what you were going to say, "They left earlier, I think they wanted some time alone." I understood what he meant. They probably thought there was something wrong with the school, not a week they had been at Hogwarts and they had been attacked by a minotaur and Veela things. "What happened to the attackers?"

"Some of them escaped, but for the ones we captured will be interrogated. For now, I suggest you rest, things are under control."
