Nico POV:

We were back at the room of requirement, ready to throw a drachma in the rainbow we made. Two monster attacks in one day, all of them immune to magic. Things didn't seem too good, something was off. "O goddess, accept our offering," Annabeth said, "Show me Chiron at Half-Blood Hill," Soon we were seeing Chiron's image on the rainbow as we did last time. "So soon?" Chiron asked, "What happened?"

"Empousa," I spat, "A whole group of them. The immunity the minotaur had worked for them as well."

"Any details about their attack?"

"They were lead by Kelli," Percy noted.

"They seemed to be unaware we had learnt magic," Annabeth added. "However, they already knew of the wizarding world. At the start, our spells had barely any effect, but at one point suddenly magic started working again. They said they said they had some sort of mission to complete."

"Are these attacks going to happen often?" I asked. "I know Dumbledore said that monsters rarely invaded Hogwarts in the past, however seeing how today turned out, I'm beginning to doubt things."

"That remains to be debated," We turned around. Dumbledore had seemingly arrived behind us in an instant. At the wall of the room was a group of empousa all tied and knocked out.

"Albus," Chiron remarked with a smile. "Good to see you. How have you been?"

"Pretty well, and how are you?" Dumbledore responded, smiling as his eyes twinkled the way they always did.

"The same as any day,"

"Excuse me," Percy said, looking between the two. "But how long have you been standing behind us?"

"Not too long, I had only recently arrived, but I trust you have told Chiron the recent occurrences."

Chiron nodded from the rainbow. "They have some concerns about the situation,"

"You need not worry about the security of Hogwarts, I will do my best so the attacks will not happen, however it may take some time. Your world, and the monsters is a new situation to the school."

"Is there any other news Albus?"

"No, not yet," Dumbledore replied, shaking his head, "Though, so much has happened that it's been more difficult to keep track of things, especially since it seems there is much to do lately."

"We're going to interrogate the empousa, right?" I said.

"Correct," Dumbledore said. "I was considering using Legilimency having it be a more observant way of interrogation, but I believe I should have your opinion."

"The truth serum," I said, automatically. I had read far enough into the books to know what Legilimency was and I would strongly advise against using it on monsters. "Monsters," Annabeth explained, "When they reform, they do it in Tartarus, an awful place to be in for others. Most go mad when going through the pit, I don't think it'll be any better if you see her experience in there." Dumbledore nodded.

We headed over to the group of empousa, our wands out. Their immunity had left them during their attack, so I didn't see how they could easily escape from magic. Dumbledore had brought out the truth serum and opened the mouth of one of the empousa whom we had separated from the group. He forced the potion in which she subconsciously swallowed.

"They may try to use charmspeak though. It's like the imperius curse," Annabeth added before using a spell that woke the empousa.

"Where am I?" She asked, beginning to flail around. "Locomotor Mortis!" Annabeth said. Her legs instantly stopped thrashing about, however, her arms continued to struggle through the bonds she had on when she arrived. Must have been magic, monsters were normally pretty strong. "What did you do?" She hissed.

"What was your mission?" I asked. "and who sent you?" The empousa scowled, but found herself talking, "So far only our leader, Kelli, has been the one to speak with the one who gave us the instructions. We were not given many details as she mentioned that our entry as already being handled. We only had to keep our mission in mind: to invade Hogwarts, to test the abilities of wizards, witches, and the half-bloods. Also to test that thing we ate, the one which gave us the immunity to your pathetic magic."

"Pretty rich coming from you since Hecate is your mistress," I said.

"My mistress governs over all magic, including this ridiculous branch. There are different types of magic, others in my opinion much more useful than this one."

"Do all children of Hecate know about this magical world?" Percy wondered.

"No, especially not the half-bloods. Others, like us, have only heard small whisps and rumours of this world. Only our mistress had known of this world."

"What did you eat?" Chiron asked. "Describe it."

"Some weird thing before we came. It was small, dark coloured, tasted bland. I didn't know what it was,"

"Do you know if your employer is from the mythology world?" Percy asked. "How did you enter Hogwarts?"

"I don't know. We were told to meet Kelli near the school. There, she told us the mission, from then on we just entered with little difficulty."

"Why the dead are returning in the wizarding world?" Dumbledore asked.

"The dead are rising just because they are, I don't know."

"Are there any reasons why specific people had been resurrected? Do you know how they are coming back to life?" Annabeth asked.

"I barely know any witches or wizards who has been brought back from the dead, so I can't help you there. As for how, I don't know either," The empousa drawled, a smug grin on her face. I suspected 'I don't know' would be the answer to most of our other questions. "Why don't you ask Mr. Sulking over there," She continued, tilting her head in my direction. "His daddy is the god of the underworld after all,"

"Is there anything else you know about your employer?" I snapped.

"Nothing else. Try questioning the others you captured if you wish, but let me tell you, if you wanted answers it would have been better to capture Kelli. Of course, you were too incompetent to do that."

"What do you know about the message to Percy?" Annabeth demanded. "What do you know about that?"

"Actually, Kelli did mention that," The empousa purred. "Remember - that was the message, right?" We nodded. "Kelli said that woman, Bellatrix, had delivered it in the wrong way. The message is meant for all of you, the demigods at Hogwarts. She was given descriptions of each of you. However, she only managed to hear Percy's before she ran off closer to Hogwarts after she caught view of the, what do you call it, oh yes - the Squib." From what I've heard Squibs were someone who was born to at least one parent who was a witch or wizard, but they were unable to do magic themselves.

"Bellatrix was informed of it near Hogwarts?" Annabeth said.

"Well, unlike most of us, she has means of communicating to the one behind this all. They'd never even have to step foot near Hogwarts, but still could communicate with her. Rather than what I've told you, I have nothing else." Annabeth opened her mouth to say something else but was interrupted by Dumbledore who had been standing quietly behind us. "It's all right. I'll question the other empousa, just in case. You have done enough. I can handle the rest."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." Dumbledore insisted before turning to the rainbow where Chiron remained looking like he was deep in thought from the interrogation. "Is there anything you want to ask her?"

"No," Chiron said. "But Dumbledore is right, go ahead. Try visiting some of your fellow students, after all, it would be best if you became friends with others at Hogwarts."

We clasped the glass crests on the bracelets we wore, concentrating on the thought of leaving the room of requirement. Dumbledore had informed us that it would bring us to the initial place where we were before we went to the room of requirement. However, so that it seemed we didn't appear out of thin air to everyone Dumbledore had cast Disillusionment charms on each of us, informing us how to reappear to others later. Soon, I felt a tugging and the room of requirement was leaving my vision, Dumbledore and Chiron smiling kindly as we left.

"How are you feeling?" I asked, sitting in the bed next to Draco. We took Chiron's suggestion of visiting the other students, though I felt that he and Dumbledore were still discussing something, a plan probably. Although I had my doubts, I trusted them. "Much better," Draco said, sitting up, "You seemed to have retained minimal damage." I shrugged my shoulders.

"This is what happens when Potter is left in charge." Draco continued, bringing up one of his favourite topics to discuss. "I don't what Snape was thinking, Potter wasn't even a prefect back when Dumbledore still had them. As soon as he's left to lead us, weird things come and attack us!" Any conversation with Draco so far had always turned into a rant that could stretch as long as River Styx.

"Wait 'til my father hears about this! This school was bad before, but now it's turning even worse!" Draco continued. He often complained about things, but I felt that he had decided to return to Hogwarts for a reason, my thought was that he secretly enjoyed it. "I don't even see Dumbledore's point of 'settle things down'. I much rather have my position back. I think I'd be selected for Head boy if we still had that this year as well, I wonder if those will be given out in the eighth year now that he's including that." He stopped for a moment and looked around the hospital wing. In the bed farthest from his, there were a few younger students, which seemed like the main age range for the infirmary at that time. "You were pretty good during the attack you know, and I rarely give compliments." Draco added, "CHB must have been a great school. Dodging and firing spells, it was like you lived in battle."

"Wasn't there a war in some of your years at Hogwarts?" I said.

"It's different," Draco responded. "Besides, I feel like something strange is happening. I've seen a lot, but I didn't know what those things were or why our spells didn't work. Some sort of dark magic maybe, what do you think?" I shrugged my shoulders again.
