The Revival of Mobian Television
Television had started to grow stale in Mobius. All of the new shows being aired did not pull in the interest of the classics, and even the classics started to grow stale and lose their audiences. And it wasn't just one form of television; sitcoms, dramas, and even Brodown Showdown were slipping in the ratings. Television networks around Mobius were looking for a breakthrough show to bring the world of television back.
Finally, Mobius 1 had found it, an high-budget, high-energy game show from early 2000's. It had the drama, the excitement, and (of course) the money. However, putting a small fortune is a huge risk, even for the biggest television network in Mobius. It would be the biggest show on TV in years, and could easily put the network under if it were to fail, but it was the last hope for the network which once was such a big company to redeem their glory, the popularity, and the television industry entirely. The game show that they selected, with crazy contestants, briefcases filled with cash, and just one question, was Deal or No Deal.
Beginning with the host, the world-renowned rock star Mina Mongoose would be put front and center, encouraging the contestants to show every inch of their personality and make them the true stars of the show. She would also act as the briefcase model and an executive producer on the show, to guarantee she could put together a show as exciting as her concerts, with all the drama, energy, and excitement she wanted, while allowing enough room for things to be a bit more spontaneous.
Secondly, the set had to look ritzy. Taking inspiration from several different former versions, the set would be gold colored with a miniscule red tint to add to the dramatic feel. Even more lights, similar to those found on Who Wants to be a Millionaire are contained in the set, able to be swung wildly in celebration or to beam down on one point for dramatic effect. Lastly, the twenty cases would be bright white with large, pitch black numerals on the front. And the prizes contained inside? A top prize of 1,000 rings available for anybody with the fortune and the fortitude to push their luck all the way to the very end.
As television continued its slow demise, construction on the set for the new show took place. Casting took place, sponsors lined up, and ads for the new show were plastered on the screen at all hours of the day, until finally, the day of the first episode arrived…
