Chapter 20: The Real Hero

Senior watched on the monitor as Kim and Sophie were comforting Shea while Giselle was still lying on the ground unconscious.
"At least, Giselle's plan wasn't a total loss," Senior said without a trace of concern in his voice. "She caused the perfect distraction in more ways than one. Now to activate the failsafe."
Senior pressed a button on the console in front of him and watched as three of the now defunct Bebes suddenly had their eyes glowing red again. The three Bebes then vanished without a trace, but not before taking Giselle with them.
Meanwhile, Bonnie and Junior were standing in a hanger just ten feet away from what looked like a large rocket ship. They were also dressed in purple and black looking spacesuits.
Suddenly, Bonnie's cell phone rang.
"Yes?" Bonnie answered.
"Bonnie, good news," Senior's voice came, "I have Giselle."
Bonnie smirked, "Good. Get my Evil BFF dressed in her space suit and meet us at the hanger."
"Of course," Senior said.
Back at the warehouse Kim, Sophie, and Shea were in the doors burst open as Ron and the others came in.
"KP!" Ron called as he ran over. "What happened?"
"Ron," Kim said. "Shea's hurt."
Ron saw Shea lying on the ground clutching her stomach in pain and gasped, "Oh, my gosh!"
"What happened to Shea?" Tara asked in a worried tone.
"Giselle happened, that's what," Sophie groaned. "She shot a laser that hit Shea's stomach. The laser was meant for me, but Shea stood up and protected me."
Everyone gasped in horror.
Kim looked at Shea in disbelief, "You did that for Sophie?"
Shea grunted through the pain as she spoke, "Hey, you'd do the same for anyone else, Kimmie, we all know it."
"Giselle hit Shea with a laser?!" Felix said in disbelief.
"Ok, that is going way too far!" Monique said in anger.
"Where is she?" Ron demanded in anger as his eyes glowed blue.
"I knocked her out," Kim spoke. "She's right…"
But when she turned around and looked behind her, she saw that Giselle was nowhere to be seen.
"Wait, where did Giselle go?" Kim asked while looking in all directions.
"She's gone," Sophie said in disbelief.
"How could she just disappear like that?" Ron wondered aloud.
"I have no idea," Was all Kim could say.
"She must have thrown in the towel and ran off," Felix speculated.
"I guess she did," Hope added.
"Oh, great!" Sophie groaned in disbelief. "Now we have to worry about her doing something even worse! She could be plotting to destroy us all right now!"
"Woah, easy, Sophie," Christine ran over to comfort her. "There's nothing to worry about. Now that she's gone, we no longer have to deal with her terrorizing the school."
Sophie calmed down and sighed, "I guess you're right."
"We'll have to worry about Giselle later," Kim speculated. "Right now, we're having Wade contact Dr. Director to send a medic for Shea."
Sophie sighed, "Alright, I just hope she'll be ok."
A few minutes later, a GJ medical transport arrived, and Shea was escorted on a gurney by two GJ agents into the transport.
"I just hope they can help Shea," Kim said as she and the others watched as the transport took off.
"Me too," Sophie added.
"Hey, don't worry, Kim," Ron spoke up. "Shea will be in good hands. Besides, she's as steely as they come. She's not gonna let a little thing like an injury keep her down."
Kim chuckled, "True that. And I'm sure Drew will never want to leave Shea's side either."
Just then, Kim's Kimmunicator started beeping.
"Go, Wade," Kim answered.
"Hey, Kim," Wade spoke. "Just wanted to let you know that all of Giselle's hostages have been freed. Dean Princeton and his staff are already working on getting Starlight University back up and running. He's also issuing a restraining order so that Giselle won't be allowed to go within 300 feet of you or Starlight University. And everyone is hailing you as a hero for getting rid of Giselle."
"Spankin'," Kim said with a smile. "And let me know when you find out Giselle or Bonnie's whereabouts. I have a feeling we'll have to deal with both of them again very soon."
"You got it, Kim," Wade said. "Wade out."
After the screen went black, Christine spoke, "Well, Kim, once again, you and your team are heroes. In more ways than one."
"Yeah," Emma agreed. "Not only did you kick Giselle's butt, but now that she's done something like this, she's no longer allowed near the school."
"We should thank you in the biggest way for getting rid of Giselle," Alexa added.
"Not to mention the way you totally played her for a patsy," Jessica chimed in.
"Yeah, watching your hologram fool her was just too hilarious," Crystal added.
"Gee, thanks guys," Kim said in appreciation. "But actually, Sophie's the real hero here."
Sophie pointed to herself in astonishment, "Me?!"
"Yeah," Ron pointed out. "From what we've heard from Shea, you are the one who had the courage to take on Giselle and were responsible for destroying her headband. You and Shea were both just bon-diggity."
"True that," Monique chimed in.
"Yeah, totally," Hope added.
"You and Shea saved us all," Tara pointed out.
"Looks like all those times you said you'd make Giselle's life miserable finally paid off," Chrsitine spoke.
Sophie blushed from embarrassment, "Gee, thanks guys."
"And we'll make sure everyone at Starlight University knows how much of a role you played in Giselle's defeat," Kim assured.
Sophie nodded in appreciation, "Thanks, Kim.
"Oh, hey, Ron," Liz said, getting Ron's attention.
"Yes, Liz," Ron spoke.
"I also just wanted you to know that I'm grateful to you for saving me from being touched by that mask," Liz spoke. "Almost like how you saved us all from that Gill creep years ago back in high school."
Ron waved a hand, "Eh, it was nothing. I do whatever I can for my friends and bon-diggity wife."
Kim took Ron's hands into her own, "That's my Ronnie."
Though Liz was indeed grateful to Ron for saving her, she was still wondering why she thought she had seen his eyes glow blue. She wondered if she should ask him about that one day. She also wondered if Kim or anyone else knew about that as well.
"Well, KP, now that it looks like this sitch is over, what do you wanna do now?" Ron asked.
Kim smirked, "I can think of a few things."
The others chuckled at this.
