If you're re-reading after some time, I added stuff to the end of Chapter 8. If you're new here, then ignore what I just said.

Finally! The chapter where Vulcan is saved!

Also TMI regarding Scotty:His quirk was originally Cloud, the power to generate clouds that are dense enough to be touched and carry a relatively large amount of weight. But then a freak lab accident resulted in his quirk becoming heavily mutated, and he ended up with the Warp Gate quirk he has now.

"Prepare the red matter." Nero ordered, and sent Ayel a suggestive smirk.

"Yes, sir." replied Ayel, and hurried over to the Vulcan jellyfish. There, he extracted a small portion of red matter and loaded it into the drill platform apparatus.

Back aboard the Enterprise, the ship's conscious said "Doctor Puri, report."

"It's McCoy. Doctor Puri was on deck six. He's dead." said a gruff, yet sorrowful voice.

"Very well." replied the Enterprise. "Then you have just inherited his responsibility as Chief Medical Officer."

Meanwhile, Spock had just beamed down near the location of the drill. He levitated himself using electricity, and fired two super-charged electric spears from his palms at the drill, followed by one super-charged electric orb, hoping his full power could be enough.

His gaze briefly turned upwards to the Narada. Would Captain Pike, Cadet Kirk, and his entourage survive?

And sure enough, Pike and co. were having plan time aboard the accursed ship. "Everyone, the way I see you, it would be best if you form a chain of two. Lucero, you're with Kirk. Kuze, you're with...what's your name?" asked the captain.

"Klingon Lady." said Lady.

"Alright, Lady, you and Kuze are a team. Bright, you're with Hydros. I will talk with Nero as planned, and Mr. Sulu will come with me in case things go south. The rest of you, find the prisoner, and buy Spock as much time as possible. Any hostile you encounter, you may use lethal force if you wish." said Pike. "Also, Jim, I don't know about you, but as you are the son of my ex, please be safe."

"WHAT?!" said Kirk, dumbfounded.

"I'll tell you later." said Pike. "Just get going."

"Sir, yes, sir!" replied the little group, before parting ways with Pike and Sulu.

"Oh yeah. I can't wait to kick some Romulan ass. Right?" Lydia exclaimed.

"Right." Lady agreed, a shadow bat'leth forming in her hands.

"I don't know you, but I like you already." said Lydia.

"But first, we need to locate the prisoner." said Sherman. "I have an idea."

A Few Moments Later...

A Romulan suffocated in a swirling orb of water—the preferred interrogation method of the Number Three Pro Hero, Hydros. "OK, buddy, I believe that's enough." said Kirk.

At an instant, the orb dissipated, the water making splashing sounds as it hit the ground. "Will you speak now?" asked Sherman.

The officer coughed, water spewing from his mouth, then he took large gulping breaths, and pointed westwards. "There. Straight ahead." he said.

"You may go." Sherman replied.

"Thank you, sir!" said the officer, and ran off to get reinforcements.

"OK, fellas, there must be a reason the captain made us work in pairs." said Kirk. "Miss Lucero, what's your quirk?"

"Me quirk? It be called Whirlwind. I be controllin' the air wi' it." said Lynne.

"Sweet!" Kirk exclaimed. "Mine's Hellflame. I can make fire, and do a lot of things with it."

"I been all round da universe, and I been knew what me quirk can do when it meets fire." said Lynne. "What say you, Mister Kirk? Can ye work wi' me? Timing has t' be precise, though."

"I'll try." Kirk nodded.

"Goodness, Jim, you're surprisingly mature today." said Bethany. "As for me, I have Frost. With it, I can create ice and also control it. Combined with Mr. Hydros's water quirk, who knows what can happen!"

"Miss Bethany Bright, was it?" asked Sherman. "I look forward to working with you."

"My quirk is called Dark Matter. I can make things out of shadows, but I work best with weapons, especially sharp ones. See the bat'leth in my hand?" said Lady.

"Yeah, I see it alright." said Kirk.

"Mine's Slice!" Lydia said excitedly. "I have killer hair."

They all huddled together and shared strategies for exactly thirty seconds before they had masses of disruptors and blades and longcoats and pointy ears and fiery fury set upon them, all with an intent to stop the team from reaching the prisoner, but what they hadn't expected was the small group of six to fight back.

~cue Here by Yuly~

Lydia went first. Needles of sharpened hair were sent flying towards the assailants, impaling them like miniature spears, leaving a quarter of them whimpering in pain.

Kirk and Lynne nodded at each other, and sent streams of fire and wind at the Romulans. They met in the middle, and grew into a flaming tornado that swallowed up many enemies.

Sherman turned his body into water, which Bethany froze into dozens of ice spikes that she flung at the enemies. After knocking down lots of them, the spikes melted and morphed back into a single shape.

Both Lady and Lydia grinned sharply, and readied their weapons. They cut down the remaining enemies, becoming a deadly storm of hair and shadows.

The team advanced, clearing the path for each other, leaving nothing but carnage in their wake as they made their way to the prisoner.

Meanwhile, down on Vulcan, Spock continued to focus his attacks on the drill. He had to make sure it did not reach Vulcan's core, but would his power be enough?

What he didn't expect, however, was for two more streams of lightning to join his own, except they were yellow in color. He looked aside to see his mother, wearing her Hero Costume, floating alongside him.

"Need some help, son?" asked Amanda Grayson.

"I am gratified, Electoplant." replied Spock. Oh, how he hoped his childhood bullies were seeing this right now.

With the combined effort of two powerful quirk users, the drill soon began to give way. It sputtered, spewing out sparks and smoke as the beam kept flickering on and off before stopping altogether.

Back aboard the Narada, an officer reported to Nero "Sir, the drill's been sabotaged. If we ignite it again now, it could be destroyed completely."

"Did we reach the core?" Nero growled.

"No, sir." said the officer.

Frustrated, Nero face-palmed. Things were not working out for him.

On the Enterprise's bridge, Uhura reported to the ship's conscious "The jamming signal is gone. Transport abilities are reestablished."

"He did it." the humanoid mumbled, and turned to Chekov. "Reengage transporter control. Run gravitational sensor, and I want to know what they are doing on the planet."

"Aye, ser." said Chekov, and soon enough, Spock's voice came from the comms.

"Lieutenant 1701, the mission ended in success." said Spock. "I am with my mother, Lady Amanda Grayson. Could you please beam us up?"

"Duly noted, commander." the Enterprise smiled.

On the Enterprise, Spock, Uhura and Amanda were on the turbolift. "Ahem. Nice to meet you, ma'am. Lady Amanda. Miss Electoplant. Spock told me so much about you." said Uhura.

"My, aren't you a dear!" said Amanda. "So, who are you to my son?"

Before Uhura could speak, Spock cut in. "She is my romantic partner." He then kissed Uhura on the lips. Amanda was ignored as quickly as she'd been eager to follow her son into the turbolift, and Uhura asked her boyfriend "What do you need? Tell me. Tell me."

"I need everyone to continue performing admirably." said Spock.

"OK." Uhura replied, and they kissed some more.

Meanwhile, aboard the Narada, a team of six, all fired up from fighting(especially a human woman with Klingon DNA, and another human woman with killer hair), stopped in front of a no longer heavily guarded cell. "Can any of you open this?" asked Kirk.

"Leave it to me." said Lydia, and used her hair-blades to slice the door open. They piled inside the cell to find an old Vulcan.

The old Vulcan gazed wistfully at Kirk, and at the lingering flames on his arms. "James T. Kirk." he muttered. "You are on fire. Did any of the Romulans do this to you?"

"No, sir." said the blonde. "It's...it's just my quirk. It's called Hellflame."

"Fascinating." said the old Vulcan. "I wished someone would save me, but I did not expect it to be you, of all people."

"How do you know my name?" asked Kirk.

The old Vulcan smiled. "I have been, and always shall be, yours."

"Wha... oh, look... uh, I don't know you." said Kirk.

"I am Spock." the old Vulcan replied calmly.

"What."

"It is remarkably pleasing to see you again, ashayam. Especially after the events of today, although I never anticipated that you would suddenly develop an affinity to fire." said Old Spock. "Those quirks you speak of, they are very fascinating indeed."

"You mean, where you come from, humans don't have quirks?" said Kirk.

"I do not believe so." said Old Spock.

"OK, sir, let's get some things straight. If you were Spock, you would know that we're not together. You hate me, you have a loving girlfriend." said Kirk.

"Girlfriend?" asked Old Spock.

"Yeah. Some hot African chick named Nyota Uhura. I don't understand it at all, you came at me as if you had feelings for me, and then...Also, I don't understand any of this captain shit. I'm not the captain, Captain Pike is. He's taken hostage." said Kirk.

"By Nero." Old Spock muttered.

"What do you know about him?" asked Kirk. Then Old Spock placed a hand on his head, and he cried "Whoah, whoah. What are you doin'?"

"Our minds. One and together." said Old Spock, and began transferring memories to the blonde.

One hundred twenty-nine years from now, a star will explode, and threaten to destroy the galaxy. That is where I'm from, Jim. The future. The star went supernova...consuming everything in its path. I promised the Romulans that I would save their planet. We outfitted our fastest ship. Using red matter, I would create a black hole, which would absorb the exploding star. I was en route, when the unthinkable happened. The supernova destroyed Romulus. I had little time. I had to extract the red matter, and shoot it into the supernova. As I began my return trip, I was intercepted. He called himself Nero. Last of the Romulan Empire. In my attempt to escape, both of us were pulled into the black hole. Nero went through first. He was the first to arrive. Nero spent the next twenty-five years awaiting my arrival. But what was years for Nero, was only seconds for me. I went through the black hole. Nero was waiting for me. He held me responsible for the loss of his world. He captured my vessel, and spared my life for one reason. So that I would know his pain. He beamed me here, so that I could observe his vengeance. As he was helpless to save his planet, I would be helpless to save mine. Billions of lives at stake, because of me, Jim. Because, I failed.

The meld ended, and Kirk was sweaty, with tears in his eyes. "Forgive me. Emotional transferrance is an effect of the mind meld." said Old Spock.

"So you do feel?" asked Kirk.

"Yes." Old Spock nodded.

"Going back in time, you changed all our lives." said Kirk. "Where you came from, did I know my father?"

"Yes. You often spoke of him as being your inspiration for joining Starfleet. He proudly lived to see you become captain of the Enterprise." said Old Spock.

"Captain?" Kirk asked.

"A ship we must return you to as soon as possible." said Old Spock.

"I'm not leaving without Captain Pike." said Kirk.

"You must." said Old Spock. "You have to regroup, and then, you can save him. To stop Nero, you alone must take command of your ship."

"How? Over your dead body?" asked Kirk.

"Preferably not. However, there is Starfleet regulation six-one-nine. Six-one-nine states that any command officer who's emotionally compromised by the mission at hand, must resign said command." Old Spock declared.

"So, so you're saying that I have to emotionally compromise you guys?" Kirk asked.

"Jim, my planet is in peril. I can tell you, I am emotionally compromised. What you must do is get me to show it." said Old Spock.
