Teary Sports

Dee had been going to Kevin's practice almost everyday except for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. She was still getting use to actually be dating Kevin. Kevin the one who made fun of her growing up, her bully, but now lover. She watched as a sweaty red head took a sip of his water both their eyes meeting.

"He is so hot," May said as she flipped her hair. She still had long blonde hair, changed to preppy clothes, and was part of the cheer squad

"You know I heard he is single," another girl brought it up as the other girls chimed in.

"Really I heard he cheated on Nazz, and she dumped him," one girl said as she made a disgusted face.

"No I heard she cheated on him with Tom," May said giving side eye.

Dee still didn't understand how girls could be so catty with each other. She spent most of her time with the Eds so she never had that need of being gossipy or catty. She went back to focusing on Kevin practice. His pale skin becoming tan, his muscles more defined since you worked out a lot more, and the way he frowned when the coach would yell at him about paying attention.

"Son you need to stop making them googoo eyes at then girls," a old white man said spitting out tobacco.

"Sorry Coach just one has me distracted is all," Kevin said waving to where Dee was. Of course all the girls waved.

"Drop and give me fifty Barr," the coach said shaking his head as Kevin did fifty push ups. Dee giggled quietly as she watch Kevin still looking at her.

"His talking about me," May said as she flipped her hair

"As if," another girl said rolling her eyes. "He waved at me, he doesn't want a girl with buck teeth."

Sure enough May and the girl started fighting. May socked her in her face as the other girl pulled at May's hair. Out of the blue Lee and Marie Kanker popped up. Lee now much taller, long red curls, and a cheerleading outfit quickly started fighting the other girls. Marie was very different from her sisters. She had short blue hair, combat boots, and dressed as grunge. She had been out as a lesbian since freshmen year, she was dating Sarah. She just stood there her back along the fence when her and Dee locked eyes.

"Well what do we have here," she said slowly climbing the bleachers as she pushed the girls in front of her to get to Dee.

Dee was beginning to look nervous not only because of Marie but because all the girls were fighting. Hair extensions everywhere, slaps being heard, and screams.

"I've never seen you before pretty, what's your name," Marie said winking as she had one arm on the rail and the other fixing her hair.

"I'm D...Dee it's a pleasure to meet you," Dee said feeling herself sweating from her nervous.

"You look so nervous, I don't bite.. much," Marie said slowly wrapping her finger around Dee's hair.

Everyone got quite as Dee watched in horror. All the girls where looking at the tall, tan red head standing behind Marie tying something on his phone as the other guys were trying to stop the girls from fighting.

"How about we get out of here..." before Marie could finish a loud yell was heard.

"Where is that bone head," Sarah said as she ran quickly up to grab Marie by the ear. She still had that fiery spirit. She was still short, but her hair in a ponytail, as she also was part of cheer.

"It's not enough you stoked Kevin from Nazz, you want to steal Marie too," Sarah said getting up in Dee's face.

Dee was feeling uncomfortable she could feel her angry building due to these lies Nazz has been spreading.

"I inform your incorrect Sarah, for I would never do such a thing, perhaps your narrow mind has let you believe in the slander of my good name, but of course only imbeciles would believe that," Dee said as she stood up from the bench. Everyone even the guys were with their mouths open.

"You think your hot shit don't you," Sarah said rolling up her sleeves

"I don't believe I am any better then anyone, but I would prefer you keep your girlfriend on a leash," she said looking at Marie.

"Also Marie, please don't touch me again, at no time nor eternity would I ever reciprocate your feelings." She said with a grin as she looked at Kevin.

Kevin was in shock and disbelief, he had never seen someone stand up to Sarah. He chuckled a little because Sarah was still trying to figure out what the word "reciprocate," means.

"Boys hurry your asses back here, girls go home you all look a mess, cheer tryouts are canceled," a tall thin woman with sport shorts, a Peach Creek t shirt, and a baseball cap said as she tapped her nails on the clip board.

The other girls looked so mad at the Kankers and at Sarah. Some even cried due to them not being involved in the fight. As all the girls ran to the girl coach begging for a tryout. As Dee just sat there watching them.

"Young Lady, I said everyone go home," the coach said chewing her gum. She had the same tendency as her husband chewing.

"I'm sorry to inform you Miss, but I have to wait for Kevin Barr to finish practice. His my ride home." Dee said nervously trying not to upset the coach.

"So your the girl everyone is talking about," she said giggling as she sat next to her. The other girls joining them as the coach looked at them like a hawk.

"Didn't I say..," before the coach could finish Dee interrupted her.

"I'm sorry for being rude by interrupting Miss, but these girls really are the victims here," Dee said looking at the teary girls. "They really deserve a second chance if you could please give it to them." Dee said as she smiled.

The cheer coach stopped her chewing as she gave Dee a grin. "Due to this young lady standing up for you all I'm giving you all a second chance, as for Kankers and Sarah please go home I will judge the tryouts alone." She said standing up as she looked at Dee. The other girls cheering and thanking her as they smiled at Dee. "You should try out too," she said smiling at Dee

"I'm sorry miss but I have to much studying I will be doing," Dee said surprised by what she said.

"If you ever need anything let me know then young lady," she said as she blew her whistle getting the girls in position for tryouts.

Practiced seemed like forever, but once the boys were doing Kevin was the first to enter the locker room and exit the locker room. He was freshly showered, his red wet locks slicked backed by his red cap. He cracked a grin as he eyed Dee by the door.

"You sure are a tough woman," he said walking as he wrapped his arm around her, capturing a quick kiss. Dee pulled away quick.

"Kevin we are on school property," Dee said looking around only seeing other boys coming out the locker room. There girlfriends also waiting for them,

"The guys wanted to eat, but I rather go eat with you," he said still having his arm around her as they walked.

"What would you like me to make us," Dee said smiling with her teeth. Kevin looked at her a laughed softly.

"May I ask what is humorous Kevin ?" Dee said checking her teeth in her reflection.

"Nothing I was just thinking about how you use to have that gap," Kevin said opening the door as he held it open for Dee.

"Shhh Kevin, your making fun of me," Dee said crossing her arms as she walked out the door.

"I'm just teasing is all," Kevin said catching up to her grabbing her by her waist as he kissed her from behind. His rough hands grabbed onto Dee, she could feel how strong his arms have gotten, as she wrapped her hands around his.

"You are just a smooth talker," Dee said as they got to Kevin's motorcycle.

"You never said what you wanted to eat," Dee said getting the helmet Kevin bought for her.

"Since I can't eat you right now.." Kevin said grinning as Dee blushed. "How about some burgers and shakes my treat." He said as he hoped on the motorcycle helping Dee with one arm to get on.

"I can pay Kevin," she said wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Nah, it's a date and plus I rather have kisses as payments," Kevin said winking at her as they started off.
