The campers were now at at the stand waiting for the 2 finalists and soon enough there was Lincoln coming by dressed in his swimming trunks followed by Dawn in her swimsuit. They stood side by side waiting for Chris as Lincoln caught Dawn staring at him while Edward was playing by himself in the water. "Checking me out; are you?" Lincoln asked amused as Dawn made no visible reaction to his comment as she stood there.
"Is that so wrong for me to check out my boyfriend when he is shirtless? Gosh are you just wishing that I was in a bikini so we could check eachother out together?" Dawn asked in response as there were the sounds of the campers being amused by that as Lincoln just looked away with his arms folded before turning back and smiling.
"You look great as you do now in a normal swimsuit; wouldn't mind a different swimsuit but..." Lincoln said only for Chris to give a whistle as there were groans from the campers about him interrupting them while Chef Hatchet tossed them some surfboards to them.
"Once again this is a challenge that sounds a lot more simple and easier than it actually is; this is just you out there surfing and catching some gnarly waves as they say. The aim of this round is to basically just stay on your board the water the longest; first one to fall off and into the water loses." Chris explained as Lincoln and Dawn took a deep breath.
"Lucky; this challenge sounds more our style, doesn't it Bridgette?" Geoff asked as Bridgette was starting to cheer out for Lincoln.
"Come on Lincoln; remember my lessons and your practice and you will do great!" Bridgette shouted out and Lincoln smiled at the direction of his ex-Killer Bass teammate, friend and mentor in the art of surfing. Dawn looked slightly unsure but when Chris called out for them to start; she along with Lincoln ran to the water and got on the surfboards with Edward getting out of the way to watch.
The crowd was cheering them on and Lincoln was doing pretty well; "Keep it steady Dawn and you will do fine!" Lincoln called out to Dawn in worry; noticing that she was having trouble balancing on the surfboard and there was dolphins, fish and sharks coming up to help her.
"Thanks Lincoln but you are giving advice to your opponent" Dawn laughed and she was still struggling to keep balanced and Lincoln doing better when a wave came and Lincoln managed to ride it but Dawn's sea life friends weren't able to help as Dawn ended up being taken by the water.
"DAWN!" Lincoln screamed going to his stomach on the surfboard and managed to make the best act of strength in his life as he pushed to grab Dawn by the waist and picked her up bridal style as he rode the surfboard back to shore with most of the campers getting off the stand in concern. Lincoln put Dawn on the beach with Edward coming over for worry as he checked on her.
"Dawn; are you alright... Should I do mouth to mouth..." Lincoln asked checking on her but saw her smiling and gave a look and Dawn ended up getting up. "Were you trying to act like you were unconscious at that moment?" Lincoln playfully accused helping her up and Dawn giggled with Edward hugging her leg and sighs of relief from the campers.
"I was able to use my chi to stabilise myself in the water but some dolphins suggested that I pretend for some CPR from my brave hero but you saw through my act..." Dawn explained and Lincoln laughed.
"You need to get better at acting; sorry Dawn..." Lincoln laughed.
A fully dressed Dawn later sighed in the confessional; "I really should have tried harder in drama class at my school..." Dawn muttered.
"Before you both dry off and get changed; Lincoln wins this 2nd round in a row and thus it's 2-1 in his favour!" Chris said making it official with the campers cheering for him. "I must point this out to Dawn but if you want any chance of winning this all then the next round is a must win for you. 3 wins means that Lincoln is the winner; do you remember?" Chris decided to bring up and Lincoln and Dawn realised how much pressure on the both of them would be in the next round.
Dawn nodded as winning and the money wasn't important for her but Lincoln and her agreed to split the money and so her half would be used to help nature and animal causes; plus she owed it to Lincoln for them both getting eachother this far to give it her all. She would play on with all her might and effort.
"Good luck Dawn." Lincoln told Dawn patting her on the back and ended up staring at how cute she looked with her wet hair. "Who is staring now Lincoln?" Dawn playfully asked as Lincoln chuckled weakly with snickers from the campers as they both went to their changing rooms to dry off and get dressed.
