Jocelyn sat down next to Jace and spoke. "She has cancer Jace. She didn't want to tell you because she didn't want you to worry over her. We told her to tell you but she didn't listen." Jocelyn hugged Jace before the doctor came back out and spoke. "She's ok now she is stable it was just the fact that she hasn't been eating anything and the fact that the chemo has taken its toll on her body you can see her though she is not awake yet."

Jace pov

"So can I see her?" I asked Jocelyn she replied by nodding, Luke and Jocelyn showed me to Clary's room. I was hesitant to step into her room but when I did she looked so peaceful but so pale, she had a nasal cannula to help her breathe. We sat down next to her bed and I immediately grabbed her hand.

"Do you want anything Jace?" Luke asked but I just shook my head. Luke and Jocelyn left to go to the canteen or I don't know but they left. I rubbed her hand gently,

"Clary, I love you so much you know that dont you? I will help you when you need me to. Why didn't you tell me? Mi amour?" I brushed one of her locks of hair out the way of her eyes, I miss the colour of her eyes so much her piercing green emerald eyes. She was connected to these wires I dont know what they were but mundane stuff. I gave her a last kiss on her cheek before getting up and walking out to see where Izzy, Magnus and Alec were. I saw Magnus first as he was the easiest to find I mean he's got glitter in his hair but he was upset. Izzy who I had never seen cry until now was crying over the fact that she could lose her best friend.

"Hey Jace, how is she?" Alec said whilst comforting Izzy.

"S. S. She's connected to these machines. Magnus there must be something you can do please?" I asked my voice wavering.

"I'm sorry as much as I want to help biscuit. I can't it's a mundane issue not a demon wound, or a seraph blade wound." He sounded defeated when he spoke.

Alec sighed before saying. "I'm taking Izzy home-" He was cut off by the sounds of beeping. It was coming from Clary's room, nurses and the doctor went running to her room.

"Clary? CLARY!" I yelled running toward her room but two of the nurses stepped in front of me blocking me from going in the room.

"Sir sir you must calm down or I'll have to make you leave the hospital." I sighed before collapsing in a chair outside a room. I dont remember what happened because I must have fallen asleep. I was woken by someone shaking me, I groaned before opening my eyes to see Jocelyn was the one who woke me.

"Clary's in a coma Jace." She was crying her green eyes were filled with tears.

"What happened?" I asked fearing what she would say,

"Her heart stopped they got her back but put her in a medically induced coma." It was when she finished, she started to sob Luke hugged Jocelyn. I didn't know what to do because the love of my life is in a coma and I dont know where Izzy, Alec and Magnus are.

"Luke do you know where Izzy, Alec and Magnus are?" He shook his head at me, "Do you want anything?" I asked Luke and Jocelyn,

"Just two coffees please Jace. Here" He handed me money to pay for the drinks I got 6 coffees. When I came back Alec and Magnus were there sitting next to Jocelyn and Luke.

"Hey, I brought some coffees for you." I handed them all one Magnus had eyes like a panda he obviously hadn't slept yet,

"I took Izzy home Jace." Alec spoke I nodded at him.

"Are we allowed to go in and sit by her Ms Fray?" I asked,

"Jocelyn, Jace not Ms Fray." She laughed a sad laugh but still a laugh and nodded her head. I moved into the room, but it had changed. She no longer had a nasal cannula she was on a ventilator. Her fiery red hair was spread on the pillow. I laughed closing my eyes and thinking of all the times I called her red. She would always laugh then say goldilocks, how I miss her laugh, her smile and her personality. It wasn't until I opened my eyes, I felt the tears coming down. Alec came in after a few minutes with mine and Clary's favourite book tale of two cities.

"Thanks Alec." He nodded before leaving. I sat there reading to her for about a few hours I can't remember what time it was. After a while though I stopped and let exhaustion win a never-ending battle.

Alec's pov

After I had given Jace the book I took Magnus home to sleep. Izzy called me to see if things had changed, I told her about Clary's condition, she said she would like to go get Taki's for everyone in a few hours and I agreed. After I was back at the institute, I went to Clary's room that she uses when she stays here over night. Her bed was made and one of her sketch books were here. I know I shouldn't have but I looked through it I saw pictures of Jace me Magnus Izzy Simon and Max. She hasn't even know Max for long, yet she got him exactly right. I closed the sketch book Izzy was in the kitchen.

"Please dont say your cooking Iz." She glared at me before picking up the phone and ordering Taki's. It came after like 50 minutes of the phone call as it was now 6:50pm. Izzy and I got in the car that mom and dad had gotten us, we drove to Magnus' he got in the back. When we got to the hospital, we gave food to Jocelyn and Luke. Jace had fallen asleep on the chair next to Clary's bed. I put a blanket on him moved the book he was reading. There was a little table in the corner of the room that I used for Jace's food. after I did that I just went outside and sat next to Magnus,

Jace's pov

I woke up after a while, someone had put a blanket on me. There was Taki's in the corner which would happily satisfy the needs of my stomach. I finished my food and picked tales of two cities up I continued to read it to her in hopes that she woke up. I gave up five minutes later instead I whispered in Clary's ear "I miss you Clary." I kissed her forehead as soon as I did her eyes opened, I stuttered out "C. C. Clary?"
