And then...
Laxus gathered a large amount of lightning around one of his fists, he bent his arm then extended his fist forward in a punching motion. A magic seal appeared before him, from which an over-sized version of his fist made of lighting started to fire rapidly towards Lyons henchmen. The attack inflicted damage upon some, for others the electricity stunned them. Laxus cursed himself for turning around to make sure Blondie was ok. He hated that he was caring about some weak mage. He was surprised to see her kicking ass with her whip. He watched her kick someone into a tree as her whip took out 5 people. Damn, first the lightning, now this? Kinky.
"Don't let them scare you! Those who oppose the Cold Emperor must pay!"
The henchmen cheered.
Lucy was beginning to breathe heavy. This was a great arm workout she was getting.
They felt the ground start to move beneath them, Lucy lost her balance as she fell into Laxus. Laxus quickly caught her. "Sorry!"
He grunted. As she got back up, the henchmen around them were trying to stay upright. They heard a deep rumble in the earth. The sound of rocks scraping against one another could be heard.
"What's that sound?" He asked.
Lucy turned around, she gasped. Laxus heard it turning around. "No way!"
Laxus's eyes nearly bulged out of his head. Did that just-no. That couldn't just have happened. Before Laxus's very own eyes, the temple had righted itself. As in it wasn't crooked anymore.
"Laxus, is this normal stuff that happens on S-Class missions?" Lucy asked in disbelief.
"Not stuff like this but yeah crazy stuff can happen. That's why they are S-Class-"
Laxus took advantage of the situation and cast several lightning bolts around him taking out several more henchmen. Lucy gasped, casting her whip it was several inches away from his face. He was shocked, 'what the hell-'
He was about to yell at her when he heard a strangled scream. He turned around to see someone on the ground holding a dagger in their hands. "Thanks." He said wondering at how he didn't notice. For a moment he felt slightly ashamed he was saved by a weakling. Weakling, Laxus took a deep breath, Lucy's words echoed in his head earlier, "why don't you help out others you see as weak. Help them get to the level you want them to be..."
"If I die it's because you didn't teach me real magic." He heard Gray say in his head.
Laxus growled this was not what he wanted to be doing or hearing. But he looked at Blondie again as she kicked another mage this time in the stomach sending him flying into a tree. Damn those are some powerful legs. His mind almost drifted off to another perverse thought...he was proud of himself for not doing so almost..it had something to do with Lucy's thighs around his head.. no! He thought. Now was the time to do something he never thought he would do!
He grabbed Lucy and made her get behind him. She held her whip ready to attack.
"Alright Blondie, teaching moment number 1," Laxus barked.
Lucy was surprised, 'a lesson right now?'
"Have you notice anything about our opponents?"
Lucy was breathing heavy, "they outnumber us but their magic seems weak." She said concentrating but not a hundred percent sure.
Laxus nodded good, so she had noticed. "Yes. It appears there are only five or so genuine wizards." He said summoning a lightning bolt in his hand.
"AW looks like I gotta go easy on them," Happy said preparing to throw a watermelon. Laxus raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.
"Just keep telling yourself that cat." Lucy said.
"Do you think you can handle that?"
"Oh! You betcha!"
Lucy grabbed a key, "Open Gate of the Giant Crab! Cancer!"
Laxus looked behind him what in God's name...Laxus raised an eyebrow. Before them was a giant red man with braids, and multiple crab like appendages and was that scissors in his hands? What is this? Was she being serious at the moment? He was trying to impart knowledge and all that crap they said earlier and she brings out a damn crab hairdresser hybrid?
"Hey baby! What can I do for you?" He asked Lucy. Laxus was slightly annoyed. Baby? He lifted an eyebrow at her, she laughed nervously before taking a deep breath.
And she got annoyed with being called Blondie but not baby? What the actual fuck... He threw his lightning bolt in frustration, taking out more guys.
"Take them down! But don't kill them! Just subdue them."
"Alright baby!"
Laxus was annoyed, again baby!? He growled.
He tried to ignore it. Laxus was surprised when he saw Cancer go to work. Damn, apparently not just the kind of crabs you get from sex and disgusting places could be annoying. He watched Cancer take down all of them with relative ease.
"Do I get to call you baby too Blondie?" He teased watching Cancer take down the enemies. Lucy squeaked and started blushing, she threw her whip back out knocking out a few more guys.
"All done baby! Anything else I can do for you?"
"No, thank you Cancer for all your hard work."
Cancer smiled and nodded, disappearing under a cloud of smoke.
"Excellent work Blondie," Laxus said impressed. "Let's head to the temple now."
"Right!" She nodded. Lucy was mentally cheering! She got Laxus's stamp of approval! Yes! Go me! She thought! Even if he was a jerk he was a strong jerk. Who didn't hand out compliments too much, so she must have done something right?
Laxus and Lucy turned away ready to walk towards the temple.
"No! Wait!" Lucy turned back around to see an old woman holding out her hand, she had tan skin and white hair. Her eyes were brown, and she looked like she was about to fall over, she a intricate head piece on of jewels and metal chains.
"We won't let you interfere with the Cold Emperor!" She cried being held up by a younger man.
Laxus was surprised. 'Holy fuck!' "Those head pieces! You people are from Brago, aren't you?"
Lucy gasped, she stood close to Laxus she tugged on his jacket. He looked down slightly annoyed no one touched the jacket. "Isn't that the same place Gray said he went to go fight Deliora?" She whispered. Laxus nodded. "Don't touch the jacket by the way Blondie." Lucy jumped but nodded. "Sorry! And don't call me that!"
Laxus was annoyed, but baby was ok!? He shook his head.
"You're doing this for revenge aren't you?" Laxus said. Mavis, he thought the job about Bora and his sex slavery ring in Bosco and Hargeon was confusing...It's a small world after all, everyone knows everyone around here. God maybe Gray did need to be here...this was just ridiculous, nothing in life was this coincidental.
The woman was grinding her teeth together. "Yes! And because of that we have to stop you!"
"You're putting all your faith into a guy who you don't even know if he can-" Laxus said but was cut off by a loud scream. It was eardrum splitting.
Lucy screamed holding her ears, Laxus was doing the same.
"My ears are ringing!"
"That doesn't sound too promising!" Laxus snarled.
"Laxus do you think that's-"
The villagers screamed in alarm, "Deliora! He's free!" But Laxus and Lucy didn't hear them over the roar.
Lucy and Laxus looked at one another. "You ready for this Blondie?" He held out his hand.
Lucy nodded, not even bothering to responding as he took her hand and started running towards the temple.
