Dangerzone
Today on the Island of Sodor, the engines were expecting a new arrival. "This engine is the last one of her kind," the Fat Controller announced, "Please make her feel welcome." "Yes, sir," agreed the engines.
Soon enough, the new engine arrived. "Hello," the new engine said. She had eight driving wheels with two leading and trailing each. She has a purple coat of paint and on her tender, the letters, "LNER" were imprinted.
"Wow," said Duck. "I agree," said Neville. "My name is Satsuki," the new engine introduced herself, "I'm happy to be here." The engines greeted Satsuki with cheers and whistles.
"Thanks," smiled Satsuki. "We're glad that you're here," Henry said, puffing up to Satsuki. The first job that Satsuki had been given was to pull a goods trains to Vicarstown.
Satsuki had to shunt the truck herself, but she didn't complain. At first, the trucks played tricks on her, but they soon find out that playing tricks on Satsuki was a big mistake.
In 20 minutes, Satsuki set off with her train. On her way, Satsuki passed by a certain part of the mainline. From the track that lead to a nearby woods, Duck puffed out from it. "Hello, Duck," said Satsuki.
"Hey, Satsuki," Duck replied, "Glad that you're doing a job right now." "It's a simple job," Satsuki replied. "Be careful down this line," Duck warned, "This particular shortcut to the Mainland isn't stable. I got to tell everyone of this!"
"All right," Satsuki said, "Thanks for telling me!" As Satsuki left with her train, Duck returned to the yards. Satsuki returned to the yards as well after she delivered her goods train to Vicarstown.
That night, it was Thomas' turn to take a goods train to the Mainland. "This will be a piece of cake," Thomas said. In a few minutes, Thomas left with the goods train just as Satsuki puffed in urgently.
"Thomas!" she called out, but she was too late. "Be careful!" Satsuki called out, "The shortcut tracks to the Mainland aren't stable!" But Thomas was too far away to hear Satsuki. He was running along nicely. "Must get there, must get there, must get there," puffed Thomas. "Steady now, Thomas," his driver called out, "Steady."
"I will," Thomas said, "So let's take the shortcut." So they did, but consequences will occur. For a moment, Thomas was steaming through a quiet woodland area.
"Nothing to it," Thomas said when disaster happened. The track that Thomas was on started to shake. Then they broke completely and Thomas ended up driving off the rails and into a mud pond. "OOOOERR!" cried Thomas as he dove into the muddy pond.
No one had been hurt, but Thomas was a muddy mess. "At least I didn't dive into the ocean like Henry did once," Thomas bubbled through the mud. "We'll, go get help," Thomas' driver said.
Thomas' driver left to get help while the firemen and guard protected the train that is still on the rails.
The next morning, Satsuki brought Rocky to help Thomas. First, they cleared away the goods train. Then Terence pulled Thomas out of the mud, bringing him closer to the railway line.
"Hah!" Terrence said, "First, I pulled you out of a snow bank, now I'm pulling you out of a mud pool! What a coincidence!" "I know," groaned Thomas.
"Never mind," Satsuki said. Terrence pulled Thomas close enough for Rocky to lift Thomas onto a flatbed. "This is my fault," Satsuki said, "I should have warned you about this part of the line earlier before you left."
"It's okay," Thomas said, "Don't blame yourself. I shouldn't have taken this line in the first place."
Duck arrived to take Thomas to the works. "Sorry, Thomas," Duck said, "It was my fault. I should have told you about this line, but I couldn't find you in time." "I understand," sighed Thomas as Duck took Thomas to the works.
A few days later, Thomas had been repaired and was back at work. First, he met Satsuki and Duck.
"Sorry about my mistake," Thomas said. "No problem," said Duck. "Duck, thanks for looking after Annie and Clarabel again," Thomas said. "I know," smiled Duck. "So can we be friends?" Thomas asked Satsuki. "Yes, let's," replied Satsuki. So that's what they all did.
