Toby Gets The Moth

One evening, Toby and Henrietta had just finished dropping off passengers. "There you go," Toby said. "Yes," Henrietta said. After the passengers got off, Toby took Henrietta back to the yards. "Time for a rest," Toby said to Henrietta. "Yes," Henrietta said, "Thanks for the trip."

"No problem," Toby smiled, "Anyway, that's our last journey for today." "I know," Henrietta said, "Well, good night, Toby." "And good night to you too, Henrietta," Toby said to Henrietta.

Hours later, after the other engines returned from work, Toby and Henrietta fell fast asleep. But what Toby didn't know that night was that he was about to have an unexpected visitor. It is a moth, who flew away from a predator and took shelter in Toby's cab. Toby just kept on sleeping.

The next morning, Toby's crew prepared to start the days work. However, when they both got into Toby's cab, they were in for a surprise. "What the heck?" Toby's driver exclaimed. This woke Toby up immediately. "What on earth?" Toby exclaimed.

"What is it, Toby?" Henrietta asked, waking up as well. Everyone else had woken up, too. "What's up?" Percy asked. "Toby," Thomas said, "What's going on?" "I think we have a visitor," Toby's driver said.

It is the moth that had taken shelter inside Toby's cab last night. It had flown out of the cab and flew right in front of the engines. "A moth?" Toby said. "Wow," Percy said. "I don't believe it," said Daisy.

"Well," Thomas said, "It is a moth and it's flying right in front of us." "Yeah," Toby said. "Hey there it goes," Percy said as the moth flew off into the distance. "Well, that was interesting," Toby said. "Anyway," Thomas' driver said, "Let's get going. We've all got a long days work." "Right," the engines agreed.

And so, the engines left their sheds to start work, including Toby, even thought he kept thinking about the unique visitor for the whole day. "It is a funny little moth," Toby said. "We know," his crew and Henrietta replied.

However, when Toby returned to his sheds that night, he saw a familiar sight. "You again?" Toby said. It is the moth from earlier. "I think we'll let him sleep in for the night," the driver said. "Right," Toby agreed.
