Fairy Tail—The Master and the Dragon
Chapter 21
Natsu and Lucy walked through Magnolia on their way back to Fairy Tail, hand in hand. Their feelings for each other were now realized and they had every intention to let the world know that they were officially together. Both were nervous and excited to tell everyone in the guild about their relationship.
Lucy couldn't help but steal glances at Natsu as they walked down the street, a small smile and a faint blush on her cheeks. After all this time, she finally opened her eyes to see that Natsu was the one for her. She couldn't stop thinking about their first kiss and the tenderness that it held. She felt safe in that moment, like nothing could ever go wrong. She couldn't believe how well she slept being held by Natsu all night, his inhuman warmth relaxing every muscle and soothing her into a calm sleep. She had woken up feeling unbelievably rested and happy as she looked up at Natsu's smiling, sleeping face. When he opened his eyes moments later, he gave her a huge grin and a good morning greeting before craning forward to give her a kiss. They stayed in bed longer than they should have, but they were just too comfortable. Happy's teasing didn't bother them anymore. Normally, when he would say "You liiiiiiiiiiiiike each other", they would get flustered and deny it. However, that morning when Happy saw them and teased them, Natsu just flashed him a huge grin and replied "Yep, I love her." She held him tighter, smiled, and replied "And I love him."
Natsu turned his head slightly to see Lucy looking at him. He gave her a big grin and held her hand tighter. "You're staring."
She giggled. "I know."
Happy flew circles around their heads. "It's about time you two admitted that you liked each other, but why'd you have to do it while I was sleeping? I wanted to see."
"Sorry buddy," Natsu apologized. "But I don't think I would have had the courage to speak if you were awake."
Happy pouted. "That's mean, Natsu. We're family."
Natsu scratched the back of his head with his free hand. "Alright, alright. I'm sorry. But the important thing is that Lucy and I are together."
Lucy nodded. "Yep! Sorry Happy."
"So are you guys gonna tell everyone in the guild?" Happy asked.
"Absolutely! Why would we hide it?" Natsu asked with a big smile on his face. Lucy was fairly certain that Natsu hadn't stopped smiling since last night, except for maybe during the train ride when his motion sickness kicked in.
"Yeah, they should know. We want them all to know," Lucy said. "I am a little nervous, though. What about you, Natsu? Are you nervous to tell them?"
"Not at all. Why would I be? They're family," Natsu said.
Lucy tightened her grip on Natsu's hand. "You're right. There's nothing to be nervous about."
The two kept walking hand and hand and making small talk with Happy until the guild was finally in sight.
"We're home!" Natsu exclaimed and began excitedly running forward. However, he didn't release Lucy's hand, so she was forced to run to catch up.
"Slow down, Natsu!" she said and to her surprise, he did. She blinked at the sudden change in pace. Natsu never slowed down when he was excited. "You…slowed down."
He raised an eyebrow. "You asked me to, didn't you?"
She blushed. "I guess I thought you were too excited to listen."
He smiled. "I'm excited, but this is big for you, too. I wanna make sure you're in as good a mood as I am."
"Natsu…," she said, as she could feel tears in the corner of her eyes. She stopped walking, which forced Natsu to stop as well, and she reached out and wrapped her free arm around his lower back. "Why couldn't I see you this way earlier?"
He wrapped his free arm around her lower back as well and pulled her closer. "Ditto," he said as he leaned in and kissed her lips.
She kissed him back, feeling heat flow through her body. She pulled away after a few seconds and rested her forehead on his. She let out a slow breath. "Wow. I'll never get over that."
He gave her a quick peck on her lips. "Again, ditto."
She pulled him by the hand towards the guild doors. Once there, she stopped. "You ready?"
He nodded. "Let's do it!"
Together, hand in hand, they threw open the guild doors. Everyone turned to see who was entering. Everyone looked to see Natsu and Lucy standing in the doorway holding hands and smiling. And then everyone cheered and ran over to them.
"It's about damn time, Natsu!" Gildarts said while slapping him hard on the back.
"Fire brain actually grew a set," Gray said.
"Lucy, you've gotta tell me all of the details!" Levy squeaked.
"Congratulations," Erza said with a smile.
"Way to brainwash bunny girl," Gajeel joked.
"I'm so happy for you guys!" Wendy exclaimed.
"So are you two finally a couple?" Cana asked.
The two looked at each other and nodded with even bigger grins on their face, evoking yet another loud chorus of cheers and congratulations.
'I'm a little surprised at how excited they all are,' Lucy thought to herself. 'Then again, this is Fairy Tail.'
"You're gonna have to tell Mira when she gets back," Cana said. "She's had you two pegged for a while. She'll be thrilled."
"She's not here?" Lucy asked.
Erza shook her head. "She and Gracie took a mission yesterday. They should be back shortly."
"Alright, we'll be sure to tell her," Lucy said.
Natsu stretched his free arm. "Man I'm itching to fight. That mission was dull."
Lucy giggled. "I figured. Why'd you pick it then?"
"I needed the time to think things through," he said while scratching his cheek sheepishly with his index finger.
"You? Think?" Gray asked incredulously.
Natsu shot him a glare. "Yes think."
"Think about what exactly?" Lucy asked.
Natsu looked back at her with a soft and caring gaze. "After we heard Nikolias' story, I went out to talk to him. One thing led to another and he said that he thought that I liked you. He then asked me a series of questions that I had been thinking about since. Before we left for the mission, I had an idea about how I would answer. I was hoping to use the mission to make sure of my answers to the questions and, if I was right, confront my feelings. As it turned out, my answers were right so I decided I would tell you how I felt."
"Natsu…," Lucy said. "That's beautiful."
"Alright, you two," Makarov said. "While we're all thrilled to see you two together, we still have a fight on our hands. Bloody Moon hasn't attacked yet, but we need to be on our guard. Natsu, I'd like you to go out to the training field with Gajeel and Wendy to work on tactics and coordinate any observations you've all noted. We may very well need your heightened senses in the upcoming battle."
"You got it, gramps!" Natsu said.
"The rest of you stay alert. Spar if you wish, but please avoid serious attacks. We can't lose anyone to injury before things begin. Understood?" Everyone nodded. "Good." He turned around and headed back to his office, but not before giving Natsu and Lucy one more smile.
"Should we go out, Natsu?" Wendy asked.
Natsu nodded. "Sure thing!" He turned to Lucy. "Wanna come?"
Lucy shook her head. "No, go ahead. I'll stay here and talk with people."
He nodded. "Okay," he said while reluctantly releasing his hold of Lucy's hand. "I'll see you later. Let's go!" He ran out the door with Wendy excitedly running after him and Gajeel grumbling in the back of the line.
Lucy watched him walk out the door. The hand he'd been holding felt cold and empty now and it was an uncomfortable feeling. However, they couldn't just stop doing their own things just because they enjoyed the company and touch of the other.
Levy tugged on Lucy's sleeve. "Okay Lucy. Tell me everything."
Lucy blushed slightly. "Okay."
Levy led her to a table. "Go!"
"Well," Lucy began as all of the girls gathered around to hear, "I guess it all started when we finished our mission and went back to the hotel room."
"So what exactly are we supposed to be doing?" Gajeel asked.
Natsu thought. "You know, I'm not actually sure. Gramps said something about observations, right?"
"We can start with that," Wendy said. "What have you guys noticed when fighting Bloody Moon?"
"I can't track their scent accurately," Gajeel grumbled.
"They have crazy abilities," Natsu added.
"I think that's all that I observed, too," Wendy said. "I haven't seen a lot of them."
"Yeah that's true. I think Gajeel has had the most experience facing them," Natsu said.
"So that was pointless," Gajeel said. "What next?"
"Tactics?" Wendy said.
"What kinda tactics are we supposed to come up with?" Gajeel asked. "We know jack shit about these guys."
"Man this is a tough assignment," Natsu said while scratching his head. "Can we really do anything out here?"
"We need to try," Wendy said. "Everyone is counting on us."
"We can try as much as we want, small fry," Gajeel said, "but the fact of the matter is we don't know enough to come up with any tactics. Everything about these guys is mysterious."
"I may know something," Wendy said.
Natsu raised an eyebrow. "Really? What?"
Gajeel sighed. "Why didn't you mention it earlier when we were talkin' about observations?"
"Because it's not an observation," Wendy said. "When I was healing Nikolias, he mentioned that he believed that the Bloody Moon guild got their hands on that Red Eye virus that he got infected with and fused their magic with it to make them stronger."
"That's big information. You kept this to yourself why?" Gajeel asked.
"It was just a theory Nikolias had. I'm not sure how credible it is," Wendy defended.
"Well at least we know now," Natsu said. "But is there anything we can actually do with that information?"
"Probably not," Gajeel said. "We don't know much about the Red Eye, either. All we know is that it kills dragons and buffs humans."
Natsu crossed his arms. "This is hard."
"No shit," Gajeel said with a small laugh.
"Hey you three."
The three Dragon Slayers turned to see Nikolias and Lisanna walking up to them.
"Hey, you're back!" Natsu said.
Nikolias nodded. "Yup, mission accomplished. What are you guys doing?"
"Master told us to combine our knowledge and come up with tactics for fighting the Bloody Moon guild," Wendy explained. "But we can't really do anything because we don't know enough."
"I can see how that'd be tough," Lisanna said. "Nikolias, I'll head back to the guild. Why don't you see if you can help them out?"
Nikolias nodded. "Good idea. Mind telling Master Makarov that I'm out here?"
Lisanna nodded. "Sure thing." She walked back to the guild.
Nikolias sighed. "Alright, Bloody Moon intel, huh?"
"We've covered our inability to track them, their weird abilities, and the stuff that you told me yesterday," Wendy said.
"Okay. The big thing there is the stuff I told you yesterday, granted I'm right about it. Assuming that I am, you need to be extremely cautious when fighting them. The Red Eye is nothing to laugh off," Nikolias said.
"Yeah, we will. Is there anything else you can tell us?" Natsu asked.
He shook his head. "Unfortunately, I know as much as you guys. While the Red Eye is something that I'm familiar with, the Bloody Moon guild is new to me."
"Damn," Natsu said. "Well you're the only one to fight one of them successfully. Can you at least show us moves that could help us?"
Nikolias scratched his head. "We're on this again? I told you already that showing you moves is difficult since none of you have the same power element as me. Similarities are scarce."
"C'mon, there has to be something!" Natsu begged.
Nikolias sighed. "Fine, let me think for a second." The three Dragon Slayers let him think in silence. After about a minute, he sighed again before speaking. "Alright, I've come up with a move for each of you that could help. However, I don't recommend using them too much in the battle since you won't have practiced them and they take a lot of energy to use." They all nodded. "Man this is a pain. Alright Gajeel, I'm starting with you."
Gajeel smirked. "Geehee. Sounds like a plan."
"Alright, give me a lot of space for this guys," Nikolias said and the three obeyed. "Now I call this move Shadow Dragon Twister. However, my friend Baron called it Iron Dragon Drill. For this move, you jump high into the air and when you hit the peak of your jump, you begin to spin. When you start to spin, turn your body while spinning so that you're facing head down when you begin your descent. Also, as soon as you start spinning, activate your power. Does that make sense?"
"I guess," Gajeel mumbled.
Nikolias laughed. "I know it's complicated. Here, I'll demonstrate without my wings so you can have a good idea." He then proceeded to jump high into the air. Once he went as high as he could, he began to spin his body slowly at first and then began to spin more and more rapidly. He then positioned his body so that his head was facing the ground while spinning. "SHADOW DRAGON TWISTER!" Shadows began swirling around Nikolias' body like thick, wide, black banners. As he descended towards the ground, both he and the shadows spun at intense speeds, creating the appearance of a massive black tornado that tore through the air. He then collided with the earth with incredible power, sending a thick cloud of dust and rocks into the air.
"Whoa!" Natsu exclaimed while shielding his face from debris.
When the dust finally cleared, the three Dragon Slayers could see Nikolias standing in a wide and deep crater in the earth with a smile on his face as he looked up at them. "Did that help, Gajeel?"
Gajeel smirked. "Yeah, I got it."
"You wanna give it a shot?"
He nodded. "You know I do."
Nikolias leapt out of the crater. "Alright, let's see what you got."
Gajeel cracked his knuckles before leaping into the air. Once he went as high as he could, he began to spin his body at an ever increasing pace as he positioned his body towards the earth. "IRON DRAGON DRILL!" Metal pieces began to spin around Gajeel as he spun. As he descended, the metal began to spin faster and faster until Gajeel disappeared in a spinning cyclone of metal shards that represented a cone-shaped drill. Gajeel collided with the earth with intense power that sent dirt and stone everywhere. However, no thick dust cloud appeared, so the three bystanders could see that, while impressive, Gajeel's Iron Dragon Drill didn't even come close to Nikolias' Shadow Dragon Twister.
Nikolias nodded in approval. "Very good for your first time. I didn't expect you to have the spin down so quickly."
Gajeel stood while rubbing his head. "That kinda hurt."
"Well it's a risky move when you don't know exactly how to do it. If done improperly, it could cause a lot of serious self-inflicted damage."
"I bet."
"Keep at it. I think that you could get it down," Nikolias said before turning to Wendy. "Alright Wendy, it's your turn."
"I'm not great with fighting moves," Wendy warned, "but I'll try my best to learn whatever you try to teach me!"
Nikolias smiled at her. "Well then I guess it's a good thing that I won't be teaching you a fighting move. I'm going to teach you a healing move."
"You know a healing move?" Wendy asked.
He nodded. "I learned it from Chloe. It can be extremely helpful when you're a designated medic with a lot of energy. I think that with practice, you could put this move to good use."
Wendy's face lit up. "I'll do my best! What is it?"
"My name for it is Shadow Aura, but Chloe, who was a Wind Half-Dragon, called it Heaven's Aura."
"Heaven's Aura…I like the name," Wendy said with a cute smile.
"Yeah I like it too."
"What's it do?" she asked.
"First, a word of warning. Everything with this move requires a lot of energy. Use it too often and you'll be so drained that you won't be able to use anymore magic for a while."
"That sounds like a big drawback," Natsu commented.
Nikolias nodded. "That's why I'm warning you. I'm aware that you guys don't have the same energy reserves as Half-Dragons, so while I may be teaching you these moves, that doesn't mean I'm encouraging you to use them."
"There has to be some good that comes from it, right?" Wendy asked.
"Of course," Nikolias replied with a smile. "Huge benefits. By using Heaven's Aura, you can use your magic to create a barrier around yourself or an ally. However, if you have the opportunity to focus completely on the Aura without any internal or external distractions, it can be used to quickly and effectively heal any wound."
"That's great! How fast is fast?" Wendy asked.
"I'd say in a matter of minutes, maybe less if you're as skilled as I think you are. Severity of injury factors in as well."
"That sounds like the drawbacks are totally worth it!" Wendy exclaimed. "But if you knew this move, why didn't you heal yourself yesterday?"
"That's the other drawback. Unless you have absolute focus, you can't use the move to heal. That means getting distracted by pain or blood pouring out of you would render the ability useless. Some people can focus through the pain, but for me, the pain angers me too much and I can't focus on my healing. Still, it helps when healing others."
"Okay, teach it to me please," Wendy said.
"If you're sure. Alright, for this, I need you to generate magic in your hands." Wendy did as she was told as her hands began to glow a soft, light blue. "Good job." He then lifted his arm to his mouth, elongated his teeth into fangs, and bit down. Blood spurted from the wound as everyone watched with wide eyes.
"What the fuck?" Gajeel shouted.
"Are you crazy?" Natsu asked.
"Guys, relax," Nikolias said with a laugh as blood ran from his arm. "I'm just giving Wendy something to heal. I have 100% confidence that she can do it."
Wendy gulped. "Alright, I'll do my best."
Nikolias offered her his arm. "Now focus on nothing but the wound. Visualize the wound closing while pouring your magic into the wound. Not too much magic, though, or else the wound will only grow."
Wendy nodded slowly, feeling a little unsure of herself. "O…Okay."
"Just relax and clear your mind," Nikolias said in a soothing voice. "Have confidence in yourself. I know you can do it."
Wendy hovered her hands over the wound. "Here I go." She narrowed her eyes at the wound as her hands glowed a little brighter. "HEAVEN'S AURA!" Light blue streams crept towards Nikolias' arm and entered his wound. Nikolias said nothing as he watched her work. Soon, Nikolias' wound began to glow a pale blue.
Natsu and Gajeel watched in amazement as Nikolias' bite marks began to slowly close. After about a minute, the wound was gone completely, almost as if nothing had ever happened.
Wendy ceased her magic and let her arms hang by her sides as she panted heavily. "I did it…," she whispered.
Nikolias observed his arm. "Excellent! I knew you could do it, Wendy."
She gave a tired smile. "Thank you, Nikolias."
"Rest up. Now you can see how taxing these moves are," Nikolias said.
"Yeah, I'm pretty tired," Wendy agreed as she made her way to a nearby tree to sit and rest.
Nikolias then turned to Natsu. "Alright Natsu, you're up."
Natsu pumped his fist. "Alright! What are you gonna show me?"
"Natsu, I've seen what you can do and I truly believe that you can handle this move."
Natsu was about to explode from excitement. "What is it? What is it? What is it? What is it? What is it?"
Nikolias smiled. "Natsu, I'm going to teach you the Fire Dragon Haze."
Natsu's eyes widened. "Really? Kick ass!"
"I thought you might like that," Nikolias said with a laugh.
"Fire Dragon Haze? The hell is that?" Gajeel asked.
"It's a move that inflicts serious burns and also destroys someone's insides if inhaled," Nikolias explained before turning to Natsu. "Natsu, by teaching you this move, I'm expecting you to follow certain rules."
"Rules?" Natsu asked curiously.
"Yes, three major rules. Rule number one should be obvious; this move is NEVER to be used on allies during sparring. There's no light version of this. This move is designed to seriously injure if not kill."
Natsu nodded. "That is obvious. I got that one, no worries."
Nikolias chuckled. "I figured. Now, the next two aren't so obvious, so I really need you to remember them." Natsu nodded his understanding. "Okay, rule number two; always monitor the Haze. If it spreads out of control, bad things will happen. If it starts to get out of control, inhale it back into your body like you would any other fire."
"Easy enough to remember," Natsu assured. "What's rule number three?"
"Okay, rule number three is more of a personal rule, but I ask you to follow it." He moved in closer to emphasize his next point. "Only use this move if you truly wish to cause suffering. This move causes pain that you wouldn't believe. Only the truly wicked should ever experience it."
Natsu nodded. "I remember you saying that on our mission to Freesia Town."
Nikolias thought. "Oh yeah, I guess it did come up then, didn't it? Well then, I guess I really have nothing to worry about. You ready?"
Natsu gave a wide grin. "Absolutely!"
"Alright. For this move, you need to gather your element in your lungs. Just a warning; this may be extremely uncomfortable the first few times," Nikolias began.
Natsu took a deep inhale and focused on filling his lungs with fire. He winced at the new feeling, but overall wasn't too bothered by it. He then nodded to indicate he was ready for the next step.
Nikolias nodded his understanding. "Okay Gajeel, we should move." Gajeel and Nikolias backed up. "Now Natsu, I want you to slowly exhale that breath while at the same time forcibly removing it from your lungs."
Natsu nodded and did as he was told. He slowly yet forcibly expelled the fire from his lungs. From his mouth, a thick, hot, red and orange haze began to cover the field. Gajeel and even Natsu watched with amazement as the grass that was touched was immediately turned to ash. Gajeel even had to remove sweat that had already begun to heavily accumulate on his body.
"Very nice, Natsu," Nikolias complimented. "That's a pretty good Haze."
Natsu finished exhaling and smiled. "Thanks. I can really feel the power that that has."
"Yeah, it's powerful. That's why I wanted to make sure you were ready. You should probably inhale it before it starts to spread."
Natsu nodded and took a deep inhale, sucking back in all of the haze that was covering the training field. Once it was all gone, Natsu gave a sigh and patted his stomach. "That was cool!"
Nikolias smiled. "All three of you did a lot better than expected with these moves. All three are high-skill abilities. Keep practicing and you may very well be the strongest Dragon Slayers to ever exist."
Gajeel smirked. "Geehee. I like the sound of that."
"Well I'm gonna head in. You guys gonna keep working?" Nikolias asked.
"Eh, I think we're done," Gajeel said.
"Yeah, there's not much else for us to do," Wendy said, now rejoining the group.
Nikolias nodded and all four walked back into the guild. Once inside, everyone turned to them.
"What the hell was all that noise before?" Gray asked.
"Nikolias showed each of us a new move!" Wendy said excitedly.
"Really? May we see them?" Makarov asked.
Nikolias was quick to snuff out that idea. "Sorry Master, but the moves I showed them are energy drainers for non Half-Dragons. It's best that they use these moves at most once a day until they stop feeling fatigued after use."
Makarov nodded. "I see. Will they benefit them during the upcoming battle?"
"That depends entirely on them and their ability to conscientiously monitor their energy levels and reserves. I'm trusting them to not use these moves unless they know for sure that it's necessary and that they can walk afterwards."
"Well I hope to see them one day," Makarov said. "By the way, welcome back, Nikolias."
"Thank you. Is Gracie back yet?"
Makarov raised an eyebrow. "I wasn't aware that you knew she had left."
Nikolias laughed. "She told me she was doing a mission with Mira. I'm guessing she's not back."
"No, but she and Mira should be returning shortly. Mira sent me a communication a couple hours ago saying they were on their way."
Nikolias nodded. "Got it. When she comes back, tell her I went out to the training field in the back, okay?"
"Understood," Makarov said and Nikolias headed back out of the guild.
However, as soon as he opened the door, Gracie and Mira walked up. Gracie smiled and threw herself at him. "Hi Niky! We're back! Did you miss us?" she asked.
"Gracie, it was less than a day," Nikolias said.
"You can still miss someone that you haven't seen in less than 24 hours, you know," she said matter-of-factly.
He sighed. "Fine, I missed you."
"Did you miss Mira, too?" she asked with a sneaky smile.
Nikolias blushed slightly. He flashed back to last night with Lisanna and his accidental confession of his feelings. "Yeah, of course."
Gracie giggled. "Aww, you're blushing!"
"Shut it, Gracie," he growled while his blush intensified.
"Look how red you are!" she laughed.
Mira just stood there blushing.
Nikolias sighed and pulled Gracie towards the practice field. "I need to talk to you about something in private, Gracie. Come with me."
Gracie walked backwards while being pulled. "I'll talk to you all in a bit!" She then turned around so that she could walk easier. "Alright Niky, what's up?" she asked in a serious tone.
Nikolias stopped walking. "So you could tell, huh?"
"Of course I could. I know you. Now spill."
He sighed. "It's about the mission I was just on."
"Okay, what about it?"
"Lisanna came onto me."
"So? What's the big deal about that?"
"I'm getting to it. We got back to the hotel room that she insisted on sharing and when she got out of the bathroom, she was wearing very revealing lingerie in an attempt to seduce me."
"Wow really? That is big. What'd you do?"
"I turned her down, but that's not the big part."
Gracie's mouth hung open. "That wasn't the big part? What was the big part then?"
"When I turned her away, my feelings for Mira kinda…slipped out."
"Your feelings?"
Nikolias blushed again. "I…I told her that I was in love with Mira."
Gracie was stunned. "You…you what?"
Nikolias couldn't look at her. "Look, keep this between us alright? I promised Lisanna that it would be our secret. I just had to talk to you about it."
"Niky, are you really in love with Mira?" Gracie asked, still trying to comprehend what she just heard.
He nodded. "I am. I'm in love with her."
"You're…admitting it out loud?"
"Like I said, it slipped out, but once it did, I realized that it was truly how I felt. All of the confusion and uncertainty I had been battling just disappeared."
Gracie giggled and jumped up and down excitedly. "Oh my God, you should soooooo tell her how you feel! You guys could be a couple!"
He smiled. "I'd like that."
"So why the hell are you still standing here talking to me? Go tell her!"
"I'll ask her out tonight and tell her."
"Why not now?" she asked disappointedly.
"It's just easier for me to do it then."
She sighed. "Fine, but do it tonight, okay?"
"Yeah, sure thing."
"Well I'm gonna head back since I'm assuming you wanna train." He nodded. "Okay and don't worry; your secret is safe with me as long as you tell her."
He sighed. "I will so don't try to blackmail me."
She faked a surprised expression. "Me? Blackmail? Never!"
"Yeah, yeah. Go back inside and talk to people."
She nodded and skipped back to the guild.
Nikolias watched her go before turning around. He took a deep breath. "Some training will get out the nerves for tonight."
"Grand Lord, preparations are running smoothly as expected," said a kneeling Severo. "We should be prepared to leave by the anticipated deadline in two days."
The Grand Lord sat in his lavish and dimly lit throne room surrounded by beautiful Bloody Moon women. He was a large muscular man with jet black hair and seemingly no flaws. He sipped at a glass of wine and gave a satisfied sigh before placing it down. He leaned forward. "Two days?" His voice was deep and vibrated throughout the large room.
"Yes, Grand Lord. In two days, we will march on Fairy Tail and destroy them all."
"No."
Severo looked up at the Grand Lord. "No, Grand Lord?"
The Grand Lord rose from his throne and glared down at Severo. "We march in three hours."
"Three hours?" Severo asked. "But Grand Lord, we won't be prepared in that time."
"We're prepared enough," he said. "I'm tired of waiting. We march to kill in three hours. If you aren't ready in that time, it's your head."
Severo gulped before bowing his head again. "I will see it done, Grand Lord. We will be prepared in three hours."
"Very good. Dismissed."
Severo stood and bowed once more before power walking out of the Grand Lord's throne room.
The Grand Lord sat back in his throne as the girls latched onto him again. He picked up his wine, sipped it, and smiled. "Three hours. Just three hours. Then I can see you again."
