3rd Person (P.O.V)
Amy sat in the small kitchenette of the CDC everyone had gotten plastered in. The last few days have been intense for her, she hasn't been able to take a moment to absorb it in. Her dagger sat in front of her as well as her new bag.
She missed her sister unfortunately they weren't as close due to the age difference. Amy hadn't thought if the world would ended it would be this way running for their lives. Having to face the dead, and now that the world no longer had order the monsters that hide in the shadows.
She wasn't tired with everything that was going through her mind, she grabbed her dagger and bag, deciding to explore and see what was available for the taking in the CDC.
She honestly didn't feel any remorse as in the long run what was in the building was needed for her group's survival. At the last second she decided to get Carol has two sets of hands was better than one as she knew Lily and her family could easily clean the place out with their magic which unfortunately she doesn't have.
Amy walked to Carol's room and gently knocked a few times on her door. The door was pulled open by a confused looking Carol.
"Amy what's going on?". Carol asked confused.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go explore this place, at moment it could be a gold mine with essentials and with our new bags it will be easier to carry what we need around". Amy said as Carol eyes widen. With magic being revealed to her not too long ago. Her head has been trying to process everything.
"Alright, should I bring Sophia with us?". Carol asked honestly not wanting to leave her daughter but knew she needed her sleep.
"Honestly she's safe here let her get sleep as we don't know what tomorrow will bring. We won't be gone long with the two of us it will go a bit faster but I do recommend bringing her bag so we can put stuff into it as well". Amy said as Carol slowly nodded and went back into the room, coming back with two bags and her dagger.
After Carol close the door she and Amy walked some distance from the sleeping quarters. They started opening doors slowly with their daggers out as precaution. Carol was the lucky one to come across a supply room.
Amy went into her bottomless bag, taking out a journal and pen. Glenn had brought her back from one of his supply runs. She decided to take inventory of what was going into all three bags.
"Grab anything you think we need anything left Lily will take it". Amy said going towards canned goods section.
Honestly, the CDC was a bit of a gold mine as a lot of the scientist wouldn't want to go home in the middle of researching, the building had to be stocked with different essentials. Carol followed behind her as she started dropping canned goods into the bag it's weight never change.
Both women were amazed at what magic could do, with their new bag they can easily carry anything they could ever need and want without problems. Within an hour they accumulate a good amount of non-perishable food and hygiene products.
Amy was the one to find a small armory, she was hesitant as she didn't know how to use weapons she could barely use her dagger. Squaring her shoulders she summoned her old bag, putting some guns and a lot of ammunition. She found a few silencers and holsters.
She knew she would need to talk to the Dixon brothers since they know a lot about weapons and would be able to show her how to use them. Their exploring lasted two hours before Carol returned to her room both bags filled.
Amy still wasn't tired and decided to go have a cup of tea. As she entered the small kitchenette, she was surprised to see Glenn with his head down on the table.
"Hey Glenn you alright?". Amy asked startling him, he groaned as clutched his head as he had a low tolerance for any type of alcohol. "Got a little carried away didn't you!". Amy said feeling bad for him, she decided to make him a cup of tea too.
"I hardly ever drink I just wanted to let go for once but I do regret it now". Glenn said as he laid his head back onto the cold table.
"Why are you up?". Amy asked as she started boiling some water.
"Honestly just wanted a drink of water. It took a while to get here and once I said down I haven't bothered to get up". Glenn whispered loud enough for Amy as she took two mugs out of the cupboard.
"So glad I didn't drink". Amy said as she rummage the other cupboards for teabags and honey.
Glenn sighed silently agreeing with Amy as she didn't seem like the type to drink. She put the teabags and honey into the mugs before adding the hot water and stirring it. Grabbing both mugs, she walked over towards the table taking a seat next to him.
"Here I made some tea it will help with your hangover". Amy said sliding the mug over to him.
Groaning Glenn reluctantly lifted his head, "Thanks Amy". He said grateful grabbing the mug. He lifted the mug to his lips the hot tea made him sighed.
"No problem I was already going to make myself a cup. I didn't mind making an extra one". Amy said shrugging her shoulders as she took a sip of her tea. It was helping her with her anxiousness at the moment, as she still had a lot of thoughts running through her head. It was quiet for a bit before she spoke again. "Hey Glenn can I ask you something?". Amy asked as she set her mug down.
"Sure what's up?". Glenn asked as his headache was slowly going away.
"Why are you still with the other group if from what I've heard, you seem like someone who could survive on his own with all the rans you did to Atlanta before". Amy said as Glenn looked confused.
"What other group?". Glenn asked confused.
"Come on lover boy I know your smart, you have to know everyone here even back at the quarry was two different groups. There was Lily's group and Shane's before Rick took over". Amy said before sipping her tea.
"What group do you follow?". Glenn asked curiously as he tried to ignore the blush forming on his face.
"Lily group since the day the camp was attacked, Shane thought he was doing what was best but he never showed us to defend ourselves. He relied on you a lot sending a whole group to Atlanta who almost got themselves killed. He took it upon himself to remove the traps. the Dixon brother's put up for our safety and look what happened we were overrun, and my sister died. She might have had a chance had there been some type of signal to alert that walkers were close to the camp". Amy said as Glenn looked down at his mug, taking in everything she said.
Amy was startled when Glenn extended his hand grabbing hers. "I'm sorry about Andrea". He said sincerely but there was no pity in his voice.
"Thanks Glenn". Amy said smiling as her eyes got a little watery but she didn't let the tears fall. "I'll miss her but I learned I have to keep fighting if I want to survive and honestly I think I will with Lily's group". She said being completely honest. She liked a few people in the other group, but honestly at the end of the day she had to think of her survival, even if it hurt to leave some of the people behind.
"Do you honestly think the other group couldn't survive?". Glenn asked in concern.
"Honestly no, Rick and Shane only care for Lori and Carl. The whole camp knew what Shane and Lori had been doing. Around the quarry tensions were always high since the beginning everyone was split off into two groups until recently myself, Carol and Sophia are content with the choices we can". Amy said hoping Glenn would do what's best for him to survive.
"You know I could possibly survive on my own, but I am human there will be a time when I would need to be around other to keep my sanity". Glenn said shrugging as he had done plenty of supply runs in Atlanta and knew his way around but he would honestly go a little crazy without having someone else to talk to.
"Yea having someone at your side does help keep you balance". Amy said smiling as she squeeze his hand.
After finishing their cup of tea, Amy picked both mugs up and took them to the sink. Glenn was still sitting in thought of what they discussed as he was uncertain of what the future has in store for everyone.
Amy was feeling a bit spontaneous as she bit her lip. She enjoyed Glenn's company and he was a good guy. She didn't want to have regrets if they parted ways so made a decision.
"Glenn". She said as she saw him get up.
"Yea...". Glenn was cut off when Amy took him by surprise, his eyes widen as she had pulled him by his collar and kissed him.
Whatever alcohol was left in his system evaporated as the kiss send spark down his spine. Glenn wrapped one arm around her waist, pulling her to him and the other resting on her cheek.
In another life had they never met Lily things would have been completely different.
Luna sat in the bed her eyes glazed over. As different future possibilities flash before her eyes.
