Once the initial surprise, so to say had worn off the group was sitting around the giant dinner table in the dining hall. Gojo looking over all of them as they silently gazed at them. Jaune looked around all his friends and how they all silently judged the man in front of them.

This was the guy that took out the Collective all on his own? This seemingly goofy guy? Jaune knew better then to judge simply based on appearance alone since that never told a full story about someone's capabilities.

But it wasn't long before Yang made all of their confusion quite clear.

"So you're the guy who took out the Collective? All by himself?" she asked with a raised eyebrow and her hands on her hips.

"Yup all me baby" Gojo smugly pointed to himself.

"Don't call me that," Yang said crossing her arms "and how exactly did you do it then because I have a hard time you're capable of fighting anyone?"

Though Gojo's eyes where obscured, Jaune could clearly tell the man was if anything, very much more confident then he had ever seen. Even Cardin wasn't that confident, though that may have been more arrogance then confidence. Though granted comparing anyone with Cardin wasn't exactly fair.

Gojo gestured to Qrow who stood behind him "Qrow hit me" he told him. The older man sighed in defeat as he stepped forward until he stood next to his employer, raised his fist and then aimed it at Gojo's head.

Only for the impact to never come.

Everyone looked in astonishment as Qrow's fist didn't even reach Gojo completely. Like a small invisible barrier was separating them, preventing Qrow from hitting Gojo.

"Any other questions?" Gojo asked confidently. Qrow retreated back to leaning against the wall next to Megumi, grabbing his flask from his belt and taking a sip.

"Actually we do," Blake spoke up as she stood up "why are we here? We haven't really gotten a good explanation in the two months we have been here."

Gojo stepped forward and pulled another chair towards the edge of the table and placed it there before sitting on it. "Indeed an excellent question miss Belladonna, you at least deserve to know why you are here. But to explain that properly I have to go back a bit."

"Five years ago, during a dark night in Shibuya I came across six very unique and out of place individuals. You can already guess who?" Gojo told as he looked around the table.

"The Collective" Weiss said with her arms crossed.

"Exactly miss Schnee. The Collective, or at the very least their very first line up of members. All with their unique set of skills. Of course they where no match for me, even Thanos and his Infinity Stones couldn't stand up to me. So naturally I send them running with their tail between their legs and they have been mostly low profile sine then…until two months ago."

"You mean the attack on Atlas?" Jaune asked.

Gojo snapped his fingers and pointed at Jaune "bingo Jauney boy! The first time they have truly come out in the open since they fought me. I figured I had scared them off that night but I remained suspicious. That's when I discovered what the Collective was all about."

"Which is?" Weiss asked curiously.

"Well you already know your majesty," Gojo said sarcastically "recruiting beings from across multiple worlds. Worlds that are like yours but also completely different as well. After all that's how Thanos recruited another version of you to his cause."

Weiss's eyes darted over to Jaune, who slunk down a bit in his seat as he was reminded of the other Weiss, the one he had sired a child with that Weiss was currently pretending to be the mother too. Her stomach sank as she remembered she was basically living a lie.

"But anyway. When I discovered these multiple worlds I found a way to travel through them and that's when I found and recruited Qrow there to my case, teaming him up with my student Megumi. I wanted to ensure I could oppose the Collective properly so I decided to create my own organization in response to them. And I call it," Gojo stood up from his chair and spun into the air before landing on the ground with a dazzling pirouette and saying loudly "THE INITIATIVE."

Everyone just looked completely flabbergasted as Gojo clearly expected a huge applause. It was Yang who broke the tense silence.

"Well that's a stupid name."

"Thank you!" Qrow exclaimed.

"Told you" Megumi followed with a deadpan response.

With an overly exaggerated sigh and hanging his head down Gojo stood back up "seriously you guys. I worked really hard on that name."

"It took you like fifteen minutes boss" Qrow responded.

"Ugh fine," Gojo exclaimed "but anyway to continue. The reason you are here is simple. For your own protection. With the Collective's attack on your world I figured it was safer to keep you all safe right here while my team decides to investigate the matter. On this world you are under my protection and as such Thanos won't dare reach you here. Which is good considering the uhum…leverage you brought along with you."

Gojo's gaze went over to Jaune, though his eyes where obscured Jaune could easily make out the accusatory look behind the blindfold. A few years ago he wouldn't have known what that look would imply but now he knew immediately. And the "leverage" he was referring too.

"Are you…are you talking about my daughter?"

Gojo simply nodded, completely honest. Jaune felt his fists tighten, almost instinctively so as he stood up from his seat and placed it on the table.

"My daughter is not leverage…." Jaune said, clearly holding his anger in.

"That child is the granddaughter of the Mad Titan," Gojo explained as he stepped closer to Jaune "a child that you conceived when you banged his daughter. And I understand you where trapped in an unfamiliar environment and you sought comfort with the only thing you knew. But now the result of that is right here in this world and although I'm confident that Thanos won't come here as long as I am here, if there was ever a reason for him to attempt to infiltrate this world once again then you have brought it here and as such also the safety of all the people living here!"

Jaune's response was swift and nobody could have anticipated it. His fist raised right at the man in front of him. But Jaune felt as though he was punching only air. He couldn't hit him. Gojo just stood there with his arms crossed and unimpressed look on his face as Jaune's fist was inches removed from him but he was unable to reach him, like an invisible barrier keeping it away.

Jaune angrily grunted and pulled his hand back as he walked off.

"Jaune come back!" Weiss said as she stood up and ran after him as they both exited the dining hall, Weiss following in pursuit of Jaune.

Collective Headquarters

The Mad Titan stood in front of the table as the other attending members stood around it.

On the left side of the table stood Baron Zemo and Vecna, while on the right side stood Raven Branwen and Silco.

"Collective. It is time for a mission that encompasses great risk. It is about my beloved granddaughter Kara who has been taken to another world by her father. I have already send Silver to Remnant in an attempt to look for both her and the Mind Stone and so far I have heard nothing in return. My dear Weiss her daughter is lost presumably in the closest enemy territory we can imagine. My friends, she is most likely on Satoru Gojo's world."

The expression on Silco, Vecna and Zemo's face said enough, it was one of mild disbelief. Raven had never encountered Gojo but was well aware of the stories about his power as well as the Baron's current condition being the result of said first fight with him all those years ago.

"Are you certain my Lord Titan?" Silco asked him.

"Yes I am. It's the only place where they would keep her, along with her father and all his friends and family, no doubt considering their close bond with Qrow Branwen" Thanos said.

Raven scoffed "typical of my brother to pick the wrong side."

"My Lord Titan with all due respect but with our diminishing numbers we barely have enough options to consider a rescue mission of this size" Silco said.

Thanos pondered those words over for a while. With Adam and Kenjaku dead, Silver missing and Weiss compromised they had already lost quite a bit of members. Though the Mad Titan's voyage through the Multiverse had offered him the opportunity to curry plenty of favors.

"We do have options. Those some are ones I rather not go for. I still have a favor from World 146 out there."

Silco's eyes widened ever so slightly.

"You are talking about Saki? You know he cannot be trusted!" he exclaimed.

"I am well aware Silco but desperate times call for desperate measures. Raven you and Helmut will go to the world I originate from and retrieve Harrow. Silco you and I will go and visit Saki and then we regroup here to continue with the plan."

"And what should I do?" Vecna asked.

"You will stay in the Upside Down and keep watch over my daughter" Thanos told him firmly.

"But my Lord Titan I am sure I can be of exceptional help to your current plans…" Vecna tried to reason before the Mad Titan cut him off by slamming his fist on the giant table.

"I have had just enough of your backtalk Henry. I have given you a job and you will do that job. Right now nothing is more important to me then making sure my daughter is safe and stable so you will do as I say and watch over and protect her. Is that understood!"

Thanos was firm and clear in his response. Vecna didn't respond except by nodding his head up and down in clear submission.

"Alright Collective, roll out and regroup when we have completed out objectives. Silco you're with me. Time to pay a visit to an old friend."

A/N: Apologies for the delays in writing but I figure you all enjoy these somewhat larger chapters and I'm taking it a bit slower now but so far I'm a lot more happy writing this story then before so that's a good upside.
